Jackson Fillmore Trattoria Alameda Reviews
This place was amazing! The spaghetti carbonara was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The ravioli was good but not the star of the show tonight. They even give out little bruschetta pieces while you wait for your meal, which is a great appetizer. Although this place is small but packs a punch and if you're in town this place is worth visiting.
Such a wonderful meal and atmosphere. We loved sitting at the bar, definitely the best vibe. The pastas were delicious, but the chocolate mousse cake brought it over the top! Side note - my parents went on their first date here 30 years ago! Amazing that this place is still here and delicious :)
I dined here tonight on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm so glad I did! I'm in town on business but I wish I lived locally so this could be my go-to place. I sincerely don't understand the bad reviews, the food was tasty and the service was impeccable. I would like to call out Walter, who brought me the perfect wine pairings and helped me with my entree selection, and Sylvia who made sure I was taken care of from start to finish, including hand delivering my expresso. And Christian who kept checking on me to make sure I had what I needed and he brought the humor. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town! I had the carpaccio zucchini as a starter, the salmon Toscana and the unique house made dessert.
Super cuisine! I don't think there are better italian restaurants in Italy than this one! The food was on point and a good very friendly and god service! I might be a little too European by saying this but the cappuccino after dinner tasted so good and fresh! 5 starts well earned!
Such a fantastic spot. Great people and fantastic food. We arrived at just the right time - reservations for 2 cannot be made online, and we were fortunately able to get seated right away. Great, authentic food!
Not super visible from the street, but a great small Italian restaurant. Classic pasta dishes with some quality entrees. Good wines by the glass and great Italian focused wine list. Great food for reasonable prices. Extremely friendly staff.
The Jackson Fillmore Trattoria is a terrific neighborhood restaurant with fine food and excellent service. It does get on the noisy side, but the food and other general ambience was worth it.
The food was fantastic! This place came to me highly recommended and exceeded my expectations. Whenever I or anyone I know is in SF I will recommend they eat here. The proprietor Kelly made me feel like a regular who eats there all the time and even got me to sample a dessert she used to eat there as a child. Love this place.
Another local San Francisco Italian restaurant, worth the walk if you are staying close by there! They have a very different "Artichoke stuffed with prochetto ..." appitizer too.
Truly my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Best experience, lovely wine selection, and the food is always exceptional. The bombolotti with veal is what I assume they serve in heaven.
Haven't been here in a few years, but just as good today as I remember it being! Everything on the menu is delicious.
This is where the locals go for pasta. Delicious and the service is outstanding.

Excellent service and delicious food. Would definitely come back!
This is a sleeper. Been around for 40 years for a reason in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in SF. Amazing food, great service and they make you feel like you’re at a best friends house. It’s not a 3 star Michelin restaurant and I love that. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. I’ve been three times and ordered something different each time and all amazing.
AMAZING and one of my fav spots in the bay. Try to make a stop when I’m back in town. Get the carbonara and just plan on not eating the next day or spending 3 hours in the gym because you won’t be able to stop eating the entire dish. Cozy, cute and authentic. One of the best!
One of the best meals I've ever had. The artichoke and tortellini was exceptional!! I only give a 4 for atmosphere because some may look for a more formal setting. I preferred the relaxed atmosphere they offer. The food simply can't be beat.
The bruschetta here is out of this world - I had it as an appetizer and then again as dessert. Wonderful staff and amazing food. A little cozy gem with loads of positive energy on Fillmore.
The classics just keep on keeping on...highly recommend.

The bombalotti has always been to die for. That combined with superior customer service and a real Italian family feel - Jackson Trat is a must visit on Fillmore St.

Nice food in a small, noisy restaurant. Meatballs with polenta were good, but very heavy. Salad was very fresh and crisp and calamari was light. Main courses were a bit less successful: seafood with penne was underwhelming, pasta with veal and sausage was smokey. Zabaglione was a big disappointment. Friendly service but very rushed - our entrees came 5 minutes after the appetizers. With so many incredible Italian restaurants in San Francisco, I'm surprised this one is so popular.

Quality has deteriorated highly since we first went there 3 years back. Pesto was watered. Wine was distasteful. Was disappointed as they used to have really good food and we've been there several times
A neighborhood gem with decent food that satisfies but doesn't impress. The service leaves something to be desired. It seems to be run entirely by the staff, and one employee in particular stands out. He serves as the host, waiter, and even bouncer! While enjoying dinner with a friend, we ordered an appetizer, a bottle of wine, and our main dishes. As we were savoring the last of our wine, he approached our table and, raising his voice, demanded, “You have to leave now, I need the table.” The people at the next table glanced at us, making it clear they thought we had committed some great offense against the establishment.
The half chicken was probably the worst dish I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was almost all bones. I wasn’t going to write a review but I woke up thinking about how terrible it was. The tiramisu was below average and tiny. The carbonara was great though, and the Zucchini. But this place is just not worth the time and money. They also have a 6.5% SF “mandate fee”. But the main issue is how disappointing the food was - especially the chicken and the dessert.
