My second time visiting this location! The first time was just OK. I had seafood tofu, which was delicious, but the shrimps were salty and squishy, which I'm not used to. My mom preferred our usual location for Korean tofu soup, but since this was close by, we tried it out. I thought it was fantastic for someone who is hungry. As for the second time, the food was delicious. I ordered kimchi tofu soup with mild spicy flavor. The banchan/side dishes were plentiful, and the salad helped to cut the spicy flavor. If you're sick and don't have the energy to cook, Korean tofu soup is the answer!

We decided to try it. The menu looked good then in small print the combo was our choice as you get the stone pot rice and a tofu soup! The prices are reasonable. There is a lunch price which is cheaper and the amount and quality of food is very good. I’m not sure of the regular and I presume you get more food for the price but it is worth it. Very tasty and you could spice up your soup to as hot as you like. You can even get a plain soup with no spice in it. Definitely a place to have tasty Korean food.

Upstairs, hole in the wall place. It has the true feel of a mom and pop shop. Got the Beef Soon Tofu with Galbi Combo. It was delicious. Also shared Seafood Soon Tofu to try and it was all delicious! Will be back soon.

Hole in the wall kind of mom and pop shop. Parking is convenient and free for the first 2 hours. I ordered the Galbi and soon tofu combo and I loved it. It’s nice that it’s not in Korea town where you have to fight your life for parking. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick casual lunch.

I cannot express enough how much I love this spot. If I could eat here everyday, I absolutely would. Delicious food, great service and you get to catch up on the latest K-pop idols. Galbi beef entree is my go to but you truly can’t go wrong here. Kimchi pancake is also a hit + the tofu is perfection. ✨✨

Such a pleasant surprise! The tofu soup was super wholesome and delicious. small dishes were excellent. The portion was reasonable, felt light and warm after eating. The host lady was super genuine, she recommended us the combo in stead of us ordering too much stuff even though that way it’s be leas profitable for them.

The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! The staff was friendly, considerate, and responsive. My friend got the seafood soon tofu and that was delightful with a great broth, while I got the hot stone vegetable bibimblap which was a fun dish to mix and eat. Definitely would recommend coming if you're in Little Tokyo! If you come, you may be able to verify your 2 hour parking, so you may want to try that if you can! My group only saw an ad for the place after we ate so we can't verify which parking area they can verify.

Absolute hidden hole-in-the-wall gem that serves some fantastic Korean food. Located on the third floor of the Little Tokyo Galeria, this place (as the name suggests) specializes in soon tofu dishes, although there are many other options to choose from. The interior isn’t pretentious or fancy, but homey. And the employees are friendly and quick. The prices aren’t too bad either. I recommend the fried dumplings and pretty much any of the soon tofu dishes. There are complimentary side dishes with your meal, such as kimchi. They also offer take out if you’re in a rush.

MG Tofu House satisfied my hunger. After walking around Little Tokyo looking for a spot for sushi, I ended up at MG Tofu House. The restaurant is your typical Korean Tofu House with meat and soon tofu combo but MG Tofu House’s Galbi was pretty good. It was nicely marinated and tender. I chose the assorted soon tofu which has beef and seafood, medium spice, but it had no spice at all. It was still good but it could have used a little bit of a kick. The banchan was minimal, which was fine because I tend to spoil my appetite on them. Overall I enjoy MJ Tofu House. The food was tasty and it was reasonably priced.

Good tofu house place when you’re in this side of town. Particularly loved their kimchi which had a garlicky taste. Everyone was very nice at this place and service was excellent. Ordered beef tofu spicy and the short ribs combo. Very tasteful and good value lunch. Parking validation for 2 hours was more than enough to easily come to this place.

Food is decent for the price. I've been here a few times and ordered the tofu and beef soup dishes. Both were tasty but the portion sizes were minor. The appetizers/side dishes are basic. There's validation for parking. It's run by an older Korean couple who may have language issues. It's not as popular as the other eateries on the second floor so it's pretty quiet. Waitress/owner refused to provide an extra container for takeaway after my meal b/c the amount I wanted to take away was "too" small. I've encountered this resistance at other Korean restaurants and found it strange.

Over priced mediocre tofu. Have had better tofu out of a package. Portions are tiny and price is on par with much better places. I’d recommend nothing, tofu is sub par. Meat is subpar. Fish is subpar. Seafood pancake is subpar. Everything is slightly below average… acceptable in taste but nothing you’ll think about again ever. Except how much you paid for this mediocre food that I can’t believe I bought for the price

**Unacceptable Gender Discrimination** I had a terrible experience at this restaurant today. My husband and I ordered the same dish, but I got a much smaller portion just because I’m a woman. This is clear gender discrimination. This happened before too. Today I saw the server put the smaller portion in front of my husband first, then move it to me on purpose. When I asked if this was the normal amount, the server said, “Women get smaller portions. All the other women get the same amount,” and offered to bring me more. She didn’t even say sorry. Throughout our meal, the server checked on other tables multiple times, asking if they needed anything, but completely ignored our table after that interaction. This treatment is shocking, especially in Los Angeles in 2025. If women are expected to eat less, should we pay less too? We paid the same price but received discriminatory service based solely on my gender. This kind of outdated, sexist behavior has no place in any establishment. The assumption that women should automatically receive smaller portions without being asked is not only offensive but also discriminatory. I won’t come back and recommend others, especially women, think twice before eating here. This restaurant needs to learn to treat all customers equally, no matter if they’re men or women.

I put in an order through DoorDash 30 minutes before I went to pick it up. I stood around for another 20 minutes and people were getting their food after they came in while I was waiting. What kind of bullshit is that? Do you prioritize sit in customers over take out orders? Are take out not customers? Maybe you should stop taking online orders if you can’t figure it out how to juggle the two.

Staff spoke very poor English and intentionally kept the meaning of the “special offer” vague to trick you into spending more. They also forced us to pay a tip, which is completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t come back again.

rat poop found ontop of rice.... order from Uber eats and was disgusted after opening container. was afraid to eat the tofu and spicy chicken after seeing it. waste of 60 bucks (update) I don't want a refund. But if you notice on the menu or any of the Google pictures you don't see wild rice anywhere. Just very convenient that wild rice(rat poop) got mix into my food..

Yesterday I ordered takeout for the first time at this Korean restaurant MG Tofu House. I had diarrhea three times after eating it. My family also had it this morning. The result was severe diarrhea five times and vomiting three times. We don’t mean to comment maliciously. To be honest, I don’t know which food has the problem. It may be the complimentary seafood pancake, or it may be the hot-stone bibimbap or other food. After eating, I have severe vomiting and diarrhea. This has never happened before. , I think we ate stale food, and now we are very weak due to excessive diarrhea and vomiting. We have not eaten other food since then, which has affected our health and work. I hope the owner of the store will pay attention to this food safety issue. I hope other guests won't suffer from vomiting or diarrhea after eating the food.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮😔😔😔
