Press Club Alameda Reviews
Awesome space for an event with a fantastic bar and great food. Service was designed to be quick and non intrusive too.
The Press Club delivered supreme service as always. My star rating was not based on my experience tonight at the R&B and wine event, but my experience in general. Tonight my rating was 3.5 stars in service only because my sister and I got a lemon drop (not a double) and a tonic water and it was $35! The restaurant took it upon themselves to add gratuity automatically. I don't know if this is the rule in general or just the event, but regardless it was very off putting.
We went here for a reception which was hosted in the wine bar in the basement. It is a great location and food and drinks were great.
Love this place. Every time I've been there, it's been a stellar experience. The vibes are immaculate, the staff is awesome, and the fact that they support local creatives (like local upstart fashion designer @j.ehren) is really REALLY freaking cool. Hanging out in this kind of establishment AND seeing a local designer feature a collection in a runway show is like unheard of and ultra cool.
The Press Club is a go-to venue for me. As someone in BD, I host many events for executives and they’ve always been great to work with. Great space, great service, great food as well. I’m impressed the quality has stayed so high over the years.
Very cute spot to hangout or grab a drink. Although I haven’t had the wine at this wine bar, I LOVE their BBC MARTINI! One of the best I’ve had. Will come here just for that. Limit is 2 per person. Upscale ambiance, friendly service and great drinks. They also have a happy hour! Will definitely be back, cheers!
They have a full bar!!! Cocktail program is amazing! Just starting out it seems, but so promising! Great wines and beers and even some non-alcoholic choices they named "non-consequential." Clever. Can't wait to see what else they do here!
Went here for a private event, and the staff were very friendly, the food was good, and the atmosphere was pretty nice and comfortable, even with a lot of people there. Can’t speak about their drinks, since I don’t drink, but other folks seemed to be enjoying them. Not much to complain about!
Had a fun time here! It’s a cool wine bar in Yerba Buena with a cool downstairs lounge. I came here with my friend for their 14th annual Harvest Festival and it was so fun to enjoy tastings from wineries from all over CA! They also had a live DJ that understood the vibe. It’s such a chill spot; I can’t wait to come back here. I also enjoyed the food that had: charcuterie board, Thai chicken lettuce wraps, and mini burgers. They paired well with the different wines I had. I’m amazed at this large selection. Highly recommend.
If you are looking for a wine bar where you want to have convo in a pleasantly spacious space with romantic vibe with few glasses of wine, this is the place to go. If you are planning on ordering a bottle, it’s quite expensive, but ordering glasses are not bad at all. Flight here is $25 which I think is great considering the vibe you get too. Things I like about press club. 1. Spacious and modern space - it’s hard to find a spacious wine bar in SF. I like to go to this place especially in pandemic where I don’t want to feel so close to everyone. Interior is super romantic and sexy, also appropriate for biz occasion. 2. Music - they play good selection of music. Tons of throwback hip hop or R&B musics 3. Selections of wine 4. Service
What a magical place to enjoy a hidden bottle of beer or wine. EXCELLENT setting to kick back on couch or at bar with amazing selection for all tastes and (most) budget. Impressed with beer choices. Set up so comfortably and quaintly despite the large size. Can feel comfortable on date...or crazy bachelor party. Very adaptable layout. Can't believe it has been here for ten years and never been before. Will not make same mistake. This place is available for Open Table reservations. Awesome place.
