The food was really good, spicy beef noodle has a type of noodle just like in Vietnam. The price here from 5-20$ and has vegetarian options. The place is not that big but has many places to sit

Highly recommend the Bánh hỏi (woven rice vermicelli) with pork as this is their specialty! It was so delicious. As a Vietnamese, this spot meets my high expectations lol. Service was great. The waitress lady was super nice. Street parking in the neighborhood was a little tough and you will have to pay the meter by putting down your license plate and then tap with your card. Very chill atmosphere as they play Vietnamese music in the background.

I accidentally found this place while we were looking for a pho place on a Sunday (most were closed). I love the large windows and the quiet atmosphere. My jaw dropped at the quality and presentation of the food. Absolutely recommend, it might be my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in all of the bay.

Had the garlic noodles with tofu and vegetables. If proportions were not a contributing factor to high cholesterol, I would have ordered a second one. Delicious! Thank you!

A nostalgically esthetic restaurant and extremely authentic tasting vietnamese. For lunchtime, I would order the appetizers, each presented beautifully and robust in flavors. Colder times, the broth soups are abundant and aromatic. Definitely reminiscent of vietnamese hub restaurants in SoCal and San Jose, but in soma. Very lucky us

Came here with 4 friends on a Thursday night and we were seated immediately! The place was pretty empty and there was plenty of seating for us. Good: - The food here was amazing - the woven vermicelli was super unique, I hadn't seen something like that before! But it was so good with the pork strips and the fish sauce - The crepes here were really good too - Decent papaya salad - The lychee and passionfruit sake here was so good! And pretty cheap too. - The staff was super nice and patient with us and let us stay way past closing time Bad: - It's a simple place! Nothing super fancy, but it's quite a clean place Overall what a hidden gem, totally recommend to anyone who likes Vietnamese cuisine.

Flavorful Bun Bo Hue and the bone in rib meat was a nice touch, the garlic noodles with short rib was delicious as well. Pot stickers were decent. The broth was so rich in flavorful and the noodles had the perfect amount of garlic flavor.

We discovered this authentic Vietnamese gem by chance and wanted to give them a 5-Star shout out. The menu and recipes are exactly what you would find in Vietnam. Every dish is fresh and delicious. We had the Green Papaya Salad, Imperial Rolls and the Chicken Pho. The owner was delightful and engaging as we shared in country travel stories. This is now our local go to restaurant in SOMA. Reasonable prices with casual atmosphere.

Was in the neighborhood for lunch and wanted Vietnamese food. Stopped here with some family for lunch. Ordered from their lunch special. A couple of us had the beef Pho, and a couple of us had the chicken Pho. The broth was tasty to give you a flavor of the homeland. Good enough, but not the best. The springroll was fresh and as expected. You can order hot or cold soy bean milk or another beverage as your drink. I ordered the hot soy milk, and it hit the spot for the cool afternoon. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast, reasonable price and a clean restaurant. The availability of Vietnamese dishes is good enough to give you a taste of comfort food. It is not Little Saigon or San Jose Vietnamese Food, but it's good enough for me. Give them a try.

This appetizer alone is worth coming here. Crispy outside and soft inside with the semi sweet sauce, add a little sriracha and it transport you to Vietnam.

Some of the best pho we’ve had. I got the five spice chicken (boneless too!) and it was so flavorful. Drank all of the broth. The chicken was so tender and succulent. Staff are super nice. Food came out quickly. Support this local business!

Excellent discovery for us, we are a group friend from Japan. We all loved the cuisine of this place. We travel a lot in Vietnam for business, this place is very authentic. Will come back agy

This place is a real hidden gem! The atmosphere is laid-back and cozy, with wooden tables and a nice open feel. I love that they have different types of noodles and ingredients displayed in big jars, which adds a cool, authentic touch. The service was prompt and the staff were very friendly. For the food, the Beef Noodle Soup (Pho) was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and it came with a generous portion of meat and fresh herbs. The Grilled Pork and Vermicelli Noodle dish was also a major hit. The pork was perfectly cooked, and the dish had a great mix of fresh veggies and noodles. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was a must-try, it was strong and sweet, just the way it should be. It's a great spot for authentic Vietnamese food that hits the spot.

The pho tasted different from usual phos, almost a lot more peppery than normal. Not sure if I liked it personally, but the vibe of the place was nice

Really great Vietnamese restaurant in Soma, low-key and welcoming inside. Their service is fast and attentive. My partner ordered the vermicelli bowl with steak and I ordered the rice plate with chicken thigh. 10/10! Incredibly flavorful and beautifully plated. Menu is simple but pricing is typical for SF. We used to live in San Jose and missed having good Vietnamese food, happy to have found this gem!

Vietnamese restaurant with pretty good food and decent service. I ordered the vermicelli squares with salmon and grilled chicken. The platter was impressive with vermicelli squares (as advertised), salmon, chicken, and a large pile of lettuce and herbs, all to be wrapped in rice paper. My husband enjoyed his vegetarian pho. My son ordered the broken rice with grilled pork. He said it was only so so. The atmosphere within and around the restaurant could have been better. To get to the restaurant, you have to walk through a part of town where people urinate on the sidewalk. Once inside, my son was given a seat that wobbled significantly because it was on top of a hole in the floor, which had been badly patched. Prices were on the high side for what it was.

We ordered the appetizer platter (which felt like a good value) and the tofu vermicelli bowls (which did not feel like a good value). The vermicelli bowl came with 4 pieces of tofu and not many vegetables. Flavor was ok but for $17, I would expect the bowl to be a little more voluminous.

With not too many Vietnamese places on the east side waterfront of the city isn't decided to finally try this place when I was craving pho. Go the short rib pho with the bone sticking out. For like $25 you get a filling amount of meat. The broth though was lackluster. Wish it was beefier. Pretty cloudy and there wasn't enough herbs that came with my pho. It still satisfied my craving and eating it with hoisin sauce and Sriracha on the side helped kick up the flavor. I love that its so clean inside. The vibe ia super chill. They had nice options for other items like egg rolls and a lunch special. I'd definitely come back to try other things but for pho it wont be my first thought. The service was good and my waitress checked up on me enough times to not feel forgotten.

Beef noodle soup was awful. The broth was not authentic, it was as if made from paste and an off ratio amount of water that resulted in terribly salty soup and tasting like iron. Having soup delivered is one thing, like not having it served piping hot in a bowl, but it just didn’t matter if this was for delivery or not, the broth wasn’t done right whatsoever. Never again with this spot.

We’ve visited this restaurant multiple times because there aren’t many Vietnamese options in the area. I usually get the Bun Bo Hue and my husband gets the Pho with short rib. The food has always been just 'okay'—nothing spectacular, but good enough for a local fix. However, our last visit was a dealbreaker. My husband ordered the short rib pho (which is an upcharge), and he was served a bone with almost no meat on it. It looked like the meat had been trimmed off before serving. This make me feel like being treated like a dog in Asian countries where dog are given bones. If you’re going to charge extra for a premium item, you need to provide the actual product. We aren't paying extra for a 'stick of bone.' We won't be coming back.
