I visited the most beautiful cafe today! It has such an amazing vibe of simplicity and grace. The drinks are incredibly tasty—I treated myself to a cappuccino and a cherry croissant, and everything was perfectly fresh. Loved it! ❤️

I rarely give a place 5 stars, but this place deserves it because I liked everything here. The way the staff treated me, took my order, answered my questions and made my coffee. The taste of my coffee, the live music there, the amazing yummy Egyptian shortbread I asked them to warm up for me and some apricot pie I took home....I liked everything here. Asked them to blend 2 sugar in my cappuccino and they did (other places refuse to do it). Didn't have to wait here. The staff who took my order was awesome (didn't ask her name but I should have to write it here). An awesome coffee place. Love the name too. I couldn't find anything here less than 5 stars except parking....well that doesn't have anything to do with this place (it's SF). I'm saving this place in my list to come back ☕️

Rating 5 stars mainly for ambiance and because I’d go back and try other things. Really charming, cozy place with all ages gathered- seems like an established community hub. There’s people working on laptops and just hanging out. Unfortunately the thing I ordered was not satisfying but I’ll try something else next time. I ordered a chai latte and it tasted nothing like any chai I’ve had. I had my two friends take sips of my drink too to verify and they said it tasted like ginger tea. I wonder if my drink got mixed up somehow or if they ran out of chai? If they ran out, I’d rather have been told so I could’ve gotten something else. My friends enjoyed their coffees and bagels. Friendly people and great atmosphere make it worth it for me to come back, try something new, and recommend to others. Oh also! The writing on the cups was beautiful :)

Don’t walk by this understated exterior. Buzzing, popular coffee shop with locals working and socialising over great coffee and matcha. Genuine and unsweetened matcha. Lots of baked goods and burritos.

Simple Pleasures is a mainstay in the Outer Richmond. The roast their own coffee, their vanilla iced lattes are my personal favorite, baked goods are so good, the space is great so you can chill or work, they have an outdoor parklette, and they serve beer later in the day. I love this place.

This cozy cafe is a community favorite and is always busy. There is both indoor and outdoor seating bit I prefer to sit inside since Balboa is windy most of the time. Their hot sandwiches are really good and unique. I definitely did not expect the jalapeno in there. The dutch crunch is best enjoyed when the bread is still crunchy. Their pastries are also really good though they are kind of pricey. Wish they put the names and prices of their pastries up front.

Truly Simple Pleasures. Great coffee. Relaxed neighborhood atmosphere. I also tried the bagel+egg sandwich=not the best. Eggs were a bit sulfery from being old and added ham one thin slice for $3 ?? Still 5 STARS because it was just a great place. Simple and Pleasurable.

Simple Pleasures Café-what a great neighborhood find! 3434 Balboa St. in the Outer Richmond District of San Francisco, just a stone’s throw to the beach. This neighborhood, favorite has a little bit of everything, baked goods, freshly roasted coffee, cold beer, and a fabulous vibe. I treated myself to the deeeeelicious Italian almond cake with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, what a pleasure it was indeed!

Simple Pleasures offers a very classic Richmond district cafe experience - multitude of pastry/protein bar/snack options with a wide array of coffee & food options as well (mostly sandwiches). The vibes in here are great, it’s longer than you’d think and plenty of space to work. Musician came in and played very relaxed music. Also a slight warning! There’s a simple pleasures coffee roasters that comes before it but that’s not this one. We got confused!

I really enjoyed visiting this cafe. Food was good, staff was kind, but I would recommend checking ahead of time to see if there’s live music when you visit. It’s nice for the vibes but not the best when you’re trying to study.

This is a hidden gem that locals frequent. It is slightly out of the way for tourists, as it is in core residential area. But highly recommended. Small, cozy place. But even house coffee is awesome. In addition we took iced latte and mocha. Both were really good. Mocha was tad bit sweet, but not too much. We also had apricot pastry - which was huge and was sufficient for 3 of us. Tasty too. The place is small and in an old bar setting but you should find place to sit. There are benches outside too, so if it is not too cold, you can enjoy the weather.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! Divey without being gross, just comfy. Spots to sit inside and outside. Chill and good vibes.

Impeccable vibes and great service - plus fabulous local beers on tap and apricot bars to die for. I'd post a picture of both, but they were gone too fast!!

Stopped by for a coffee break after a quick hike at Lands' End nearby. Decent coffee and mocha. It's a cool place with perhaps an older crowd who look to be regulars in the neighborhood. Two thumbs up for open outdoor seating by the side walk.

Good coffee & excellent breakfast cookies (Egyptian shortbread is out of this world as is the almond cake from Dianda’s). Fresh bagels from House of Bagels but I didn't see any plant based cream cheese. The chai is A++ as is the service. Love their dining room; a nice throwback, friendly neighborhood cafe.

A really nice place to get some easy work done. Old retro vibes! Music at a decent volume! Just a chill place to hang out with yourself.

You can tell this is a community gathering place. Very laid back and people knew each other. We were not content with our order. ,we wanted two single orders of espresso and getting one shot divided into two demitasses was not cool. First cup had the froth and filled 3/4 th of the way. Second cup had no froth and filled 1/4 of the way. Plus it was cold. Very disappointed. If you are familiar with how espresso should be served and want a hot shot of it, this is not the place.
