StreetTaco Alameda Reviews
Tried the Al pastor, conchinita pibil, barbacoa, cow cheek, & goat cheek tacos. All were amazing, but the cow cheek & pastor were the winners. The quesabirria was also really good
Best tacos 🌮 ever. I love the variety they have and the salsa availability variety. They have a taco called cochinta ( spelling ) that you cant find elsewhere I come maybe twice a month. The owner is very nice. I do not like the horchata:( as its not fresh but from the fountain
Let's be honest, the outside didn't look appealing, but don't let that stop you. These tacos are amazing! Employees were super nice. We tried the pastor, asada, carnitas, pork sirloin, and barbacoa tacos. I usually go for the barbacoa, but I really liked the asada here. The rest were good too. The meats were tender and the salsa just added a kick to them. I recommend giving this place a try!
Authentic flavors. We had the quesabirria, the chicken, pastor, and barbacoa tacos. It’s a hole in the wall which doesn’t bother us. However, it was a bit warm and the smell of the cleaning products was very potent. It did appear to be clean, which is great, I think it just needs a bit of air circulation… The music was quite loud and the music videos on the screen were not appropriate for children.
Got served at 15 to closing, kitchen lights were off they still sold me 4 bistec asada tacos. There was an old man watching soccer in the corner the whole place was just great. The tacos were great af and the red sauce made my sister sad, was the best red sauce ive ever had. the green sauce was great too. Melon fresca was the best ive had anywhere.
This is my gold standard for tacos in the Denver area. Good price point, on average $2/taco, but the important topic are the flavors and tortilla freshness. The lengua (cow tongue) was tender and flavorful. I also highly recommend the De La Parrilla with cabeza, you won’t be disappointed. They have a great salsa bar to boot. Give this place a shot and I think you’ll leave happy.
Had a chance to visit this restaurant in Denver. One visit was not enough - so we came back a second time. The staff - despite our lack of speaking the language - was attentive and kind. We had the chance to eat a number of tacos such as: Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Tripitas, Lengua, and Chivo. All were fantastic. We also had the Pancita (a soup) that came with tortillas. Great value. Great taste. Washed everything down with a refreshing Orchata. Definitely drop in if you like Mexican food!
The tacos here are super good! A lot of variety of toppings and sauces which is amazing. So many different choices of tacos! The building is a bit small and they do get pretty busy. On hot days being unsaid is hard because there is no AC but worth it for the food. The horchata is served in a huge cup and is really good.
Portions were huge but we didnt like most of the flavors. Also why do you ask for tip when i am ordering standing up and i gotta come get food from the counter and have no access to sides. Tacos are pricier than RiNO happy hours. Getting to this place is also challenging. It is right on the Alameda and access is not great.
We stopped here because it had good reviews. The reviews are SO far off! Whoever labels the food here delicious has no idea how good Mexican food tastes like. Below average for me. And super expensive. $18 for a small bowl of menudo and $3.50 for a tiny taco. These were not fresh... just taken from containers that were sitting who knows how long. The only thing was fresh was quesadilla... that was average as well. If you ask without meat they don't put more cheese. Stingy on the toppings too. I thought stopping to a moms and pops place would be rewarding but instead it was a disappointment. We will never go here again. They ask for a tip when you pay BEFORE the food arrives... they don't even bring it to you at the table or ask if you need anything! They want to get tips like a nice sit down restaurant but it feels more like a food truck.
