Lever Coffee Alamo Reviews
The coffee and croissant was really nice I asked two times coffee for HERE, but the blonde girl made it for to go cup, (3:30 pm, It was still a long time before the café closed) it is really important to me, because I tried to avoid microplastic because of endometriosis. So When I told the waitress about it, she just poured my coffee from the to go cup into a ceramic cup. Is that even okay? I feel like that’s not how you’re supposed to treat customers!
Love this place! I always wish I found it before I graduated, would be a great spot to study. This place has the best lattes and a nice selection of quality baked goods. The interior is very aesthetic with the white brick coffee bar and somewhat cleric mix of tables and chairs. Outdoor seating too, can’t recommend enough :)
Lever Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Contra Costa County, certainly the best within a 15 mile radius! The location is such a cozy, tucked away vibe. Parking can fill up quick during busy hours. Atmosphere is very chill and cottage-y. Sunny mornings are second to none here with their front and back patios overlooking Las Trampas and the San Ramon Creek! The espresso bevs all check out! I’ve had their latte, cortado, flat white, and americano, and they are all delicious and properly made. Diverse selection of baked goods available: something sweet, something savory. Prices are about 10-15% more than what you’d pay at a chain or franchise, but well worth it for actual quality coffee. On top of that, the place is dog friendly! Always worth the stop coming to Lever.
Vibe here gives me a little hidden cottage in the middle of a forest. Very plant vibe. Great place to socialize, do some work, chill out. Very spacious. Work friendly - WiFi. Outlets, seatings Parking is a bit difficult but isn’t terrible. Food was good. Not as warmed up as I hope my pastry would be but it was filling. The coffee was good, classic iced coffee but it was served in a cup glass cup so it deserves an overall 9/10. Workers were efficient but weren’t as friendly as I had anticipated. But this space is still an overall 10/10 and deserve another visit to try out their other item collections.
Always wanted to go to Lever. I work right near here, and I came here on New Year’s Eve. It is a very cute coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be difficult as it is small and tight, but there is parking in the back. The coffee was great here. Their lavender ice latte was amazing. I believe they are known for their syrups, and I also got to try their orange rosemary syrup. It was unique, but I think the safe bet is to go with the lavender syrup. It can get very packed here, and they seem to have a smaller staff. Things could move slow, but be patient as it is worth the wait.
I went there for an espresso and almond milk late. I was driving by the down and decided to turn in and it was absolutely worth it! This place has an amazing ambiance and looks really cool looking rustic espresso coffee shop. They asked with roast I would like and that's great. They had dark and medium roast available. I love light and medium roast and the medium was fruity and very well balanced. I loved it. This is high quality coffee shop. The latte was well made, too and had a nice look to it, too.
such a cute spot! a bunch of space to work from, and the wifi reaches the outside tables near the stream. i got the seasonal raspberry matcha, and it wasn’t sweet at all (which i liked). would definitely come again.

We drive up to what looked like it was supposed to be in the town of Virgin Rivers! People were sitting outside enjoying and a couple of people inside enjoying coffee. The barista took her time to explain the menu and what was special about their drinks. We both got lattes, but she got a brown sugar latte with cinnamon on top and loved it! I got an OatMilk latte with vanilla. Delicious!! We sat for a few minutes in front of the window and just enjoyed the peacefulness of the shop. I would definitely stop by again when in town.
Cute little cafe with lots of seating indoors and outdoors. A great place to work or study (although parking nearby is limited to 1 hr)! And their handmade pottery is so fun to drink out of! Edit: parking is unlimited (as per update from owner)
I visited Lever Cafe for the first time this morning (12/26) and had such a lovely experience. The space itself is incredibly cute, and despite it being very busy (likely with the post-Christmas rush), everything ran so smoothly. The line stretched nearly halfway through the café and took about 20 minutes, with a constant flow of people coming in, yet the staff handled it all with such grace and professionalism. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I know how challenging those peak moments can be, which made me even more impressed. Every single person working this morning was phenomenal, and I really wanted to give the team a well-deserved shoutout for their energy, kindness, and efficiency. I ordered a savory pastry, a croissant-muffin with ham and egg, and it was absolutely delicious. I would 100% recommend it. I also ordered a matcha latte, which was made beautifully and perfectly balanced. As someone who truly loves a good matcha (and appreciates thoughtful matcha art!), I was especially impressed. I also want to give a special thank-you to one of the baristas who went out of his way to help me with a unique request. That extra bit of care genuinely made my day and speaks volumes about the level of service here. Overall, this was such a positive experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Lever Cafe to anyone looking for great food, excellent drinks, and truly outstanding staff.
The customer service was amazing here! Delaney took the time to explain all of my questions about the drinks and food they had to offer, and she gave great recommendations for me to choose. The atmosphere is so warm and home-y, and there are plenty of seats to choose in the inside, patio and porch. The lavender vanilla latte was a great pick me up for the morning and the breakfast sandwich with bacon tasted amazing and was very filling. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area!
It was my first time at Lever Coffee in Alamo & i absolutely LOVED my experience. One of the baristas, Delaney, spent her time to run me through the menu & to see what I liked & disliked. I settled on an iced Matcha with extra vanilla syrup & extra whipped cream - & it was AMAZING! She hand crafted my drink to perfection & I am 100% satisfied with my experience. I definitely found my go-to coffee spot thanks to Delaney! S/o her
Nice upscale coffee shop. The coffee was good. I had a Cortado and the coffee flavor was good and the milk/foam was the correct amont. There were plenty of people working on laptops while I was there, but i think it was too noisy to take business calls. I believe they have outdoor seating as well. Nice alternative to Starbucks.
My favorite coffee shop in the East Bay! Drinks are always great. Staff is incredibly friendly and personable. Menu is fun and seasonal. Pastries are life changing. Atmosphere is perfect to sit & chat or bring a computer and get work done!
Chris was so helpful to me! He made my cup of tea with pure elegance, style & with what felt like was “magic”. His service when I walked in was purely genuine & I love coming to Levers! Thank you guys!
I often drop by Lever Coffee on the way from South Bay to North Bay and get a cup of coffee, sometime with a pastry. I like the atmosphere and professionaly prepared drink. It's a good place to take a rest and refresh.
The coffee is great. The freshly baked assortment of pastries are pretty solid as well. The shop itself has nice ambiance. Only thing to be aware of is the limited parking situation. There are some spots in the back but they fill up quick. There’s a couple parking lots across the street if you don’t mind walking in.
Baristas are always on point! Very limited parking tho. I’m usually on my commute so when I’m able to find a spot it’s the perfect mood boost.

I love the vibe of this coffee shop. They have relaxing music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They make excellent Americanos. I am definitely buying coffee here again.

Amazing coffee but I regularly wait half an hour for it. Wish the baristas would move a little quicker as sweet as they are. It is a coffee shop business most people want to be in and out with their coffee.

The warm lighting on the dark wood made for an immaculately rustic and calm ambiance despite being spacious. The outdoor space was also very well thought out with extra seating in the back, which were also well positioned to look at the building or the river. I ordered a matcha, and it tasted good.
I should say my espresso standards are high. Place is cute, great Vibe but the lattes are a high disappointment. The barista had no passion for the craft. The milk was heated to an extent that it lost all is form. Tasted like it came out a keureg. On top of it I waited 20 minutes…. Super slow- it wasn’t even so busy and with the 3 machines they had there is no excuse besides poor management of time. Pastries where great but getting in 10 minutes before the coffee made no sense. Too bad

Excellent coffee and vibe. Staff is friendly. I give it three stars for being poorly managed - not enough staff so order lines and wait time for beverages is longer than it needs to be
The blonde one was rude and unwelcoming... never greeted us or thanked us after taking our order. The overall ambience was nice and the flat white tasted good but the customer service made my experience unpleasant.
took 15 minutes to prepare 2 lattes in when the place was not even half full. the workers were really slow with their work. while the place looks nice, it stinks of urine in some weird way. really disappointed.
After six visits I am not sure why this place is popular. Yes, they have great coffee and a hip atmosphere, but their service is horrible. Most of the employees move at a snails pace and come across as either annoyed or depressed. Once they get around to taking your order you will love your coffee another 15 mins later.
