El Comodoro II Albaida Reviews
This was our second time at the Cruisery! This is the perfect location in downtown and is open late! Servers were super nice and helpful! We had Brie my guest and fries with benefits for the appetizers! They have really unique cocktails, we tried Fig & Haley, and Floor is Guava - both were amazing! We also had Korean Crunch burgers which were so tasty! Definitely need to add this to itinerary whether you are passing by or staying in Santa Barbara!
I'll start with the fact that I very rarely/if ever post reviews. But after visiting here recently with my wife & 2 dogs, we sat and discussed how we'd have to do this for this place. Firstly, DUSTIN was the best. From walking in and being seated, Dustin was someone we both agreed was genuinely nice, welcoming, cared, and thoughtful. He was incredibly attentive, while also allowing us to have our time. Secondly, we love going out with our dogs, but struggle to find good pet-friendly places to suit one of our dogs, as he is incredibly shy. Well, I'd never seen our little guys so happy to be somewhere. They were happy to get attention from the staff, they were treated just as well as we were, and we knew they felt very happy here. Lastly though, the drinks & food were just awesome. Freshly made meals, great tasting drinks, and well priced across the board. We will no longer be looking for places to go, as The Cruisery will have our business for as long as they'll have us. We signed up for the VIP dog club immediately, and look forward to going back again soon :)
Came in in the evening of night before me and my wife's wedding at the Santa Barbara famous courthouse. We were promptly seated and taken care of even though we were a bit of a larger group on short-term notice. The food was enjoyed by all and drink service was good. Hip modern location for a small get together or a date. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in taking our orders even for our later arriving guests. Thanks again and I'm looking forward to next time visiting and spending more time and checking out the unique cocktails on the menu!
Outstanding! I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but I really wanted to share how much we’ve been enjoying The Cruisery. The food is was fresh, flavorful, and just really well done. Everything we’ve tried has been balanced and thoughtfully prepared. The owner and staff are genuinely kind people, and love and welcome dogs! We recently moved to Santa Barbara, and this will become one of our regular spots and we will continue spreading the good word. Oh yeah, they make fresh homemade dog biscuits every morning. Our dog goes absolutely crazy for them, and we always end up stopping by for a treat there and here during our walks. We’re really grateful to have a place like this in SB!
We hosted our wedding weekend welcome party with The Cruisery and had a fantastic experience. Communication was easy from the start, and the space felt spacious enough for our group of around 70 guests while still maintaining a fun, intimate atmosphere. There was plenty of room for conversation areas, a dance floor, and easy mingling. The bartenders were friendly, fast, and kept the energy high throughout the night. One of the best parts was how helpful Aaron, the manager, was during our last-minute venue scramble due to a severe rainstorm. He was incredibly accommodating and proactive, offering us their sister property — Unbearable Skee Lodge — at a very competitive rate given the short notice. That space is amazing in its own right: a stylish ski-chalet vibe without feeling kitschy, with comfy couch seating, high tops for easy conversation, and fun skee-ball arcade games that our guests loved. They also gave very thoughtful guidance on ordering, which helped us meet our food & beverage minimum without going under or significantly over — a rare and appreciated level of transparency. Being able to bring in our own friend to DJ was another huge plus. We highly recommend The Cruisery (and Unbearable Skee Lodge) for welcome parties, rehearsal events, or private group gatherings — especially if you want a flexible venue with great service and a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
What a beautiful discovery in Santa Barbara, The Cruisery offered great service, waitress was a great resource in laying our food with greet cocktails! The ambience is perfect for today’s food culture-foodies! Stop by try the grilled filet tacos and drunk pig —all shareable and get the crack fries! Absolutely perfection! Oh, and they have a section to choose a game to play when you need to take a break from your device and enjoy playing with friends!
Wanted to leave a lovely review, our hotel recommended us to visit this restaurant when we checked in to Riviera hotel, she was right, you guys are so amazing with pets, they felt so loved and comfortable, lovely treat for them too. Food was amazing, drinks, atmosphere everything was excellent. Too bad you guys were closed Monday Tuesday because we were at the door was second dinner following day. Thank you for hospitality!!!
Dark bar with a good lowkey vibe. A lot of the other spots had more of a club feel. We just wanted dinner so we came in. Ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and shared them around. Everything we tried was really good! The mixed drinks pack a big punch. And a bunch of good gluten free options. Great place!
Review was done by Emily, our well behaved pup. You know when you're out “window shopping” with your humans and you spot one lonely water bowl outside a café and think, “Nice try”? Yeah, well, The Cruisery wasn’t playing around. They had flights of water bowls lined up out front. FLIGHTS. I knew something special was brewing… and it wasn’t just beer. Next thing I know, a human I’ve never sniffed before is handing me a treat! I’m thinking, Is this a pitch for a dog-friendly timeshare? But no—better. We head inside, and boom—another treat. And not the usual dry Milk Bone nonsense. I’m talking premium, once-a-year-holiday-level treats. We get seated by a window (great squirrel-watching views), and then it happens... They hand us menus and I get one. A dog menu. Just. For. Me. My humans ordered appetizers (chips & guac—she shared one chip), but I scored big: salmon and rice. When it arrived, my human actually said she could eat it. I had to remind her—stay in your lane, lady. Those treats? Just whet my appetite. Paws down: 🐾 Great food 🐾 Great service 🐾 Great humans 5 Paws - 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
We have had the culinary pleasure of eating here on several occasions. Happily the food and service is consistently excellent. A fun atmosphere for friends and family with indoor and outdoor seating. Bottles of cold water always appear quickly to quench your thirst after walking State Street. Fantastic chips and guacamole to start your meal is a great choice. The BBQ chicken salad is quite satisfying with plenty of chicken tossed with yummy bacon and a fantastic bbq dressing. The Cruisery burger and the Korean chicken burger are mouthfuls of flavor perfection. Those fries? So, so good! A fabulous roasted beet salad is so refreshing and light. Don’t miss the happy hour tapas! On our recent visit we enjoyed the lavender lemonade and the tangerine spritz. Both light and lovely with the bonus of being an adult beverage. Come and enjoy the atmosphere, excellent service and consistently excellent food!
This is our second time here in two trips out this way. For us, it was a no-brainer what we were gonna do on our first night in town. We had so much fun last time we were here and we even referenced pictures we took of the drinks and food to remember what we ordered that we loved. Jeremy the bartender is SPECTACULAR (judging from my previous career as a tender of the bar myself), and the MC @sam-bear is hilarious and very engaging with the ENTIRE bar/restaurant full of people. When we return to Santa Barbara, we will be back to The Cruisery & on a Friday night so we can visit our new friends again! 🥰
If you're cruising state street, you must stop by the Cruisery! The food is incredible, service is awesome, and the atmosphere of a fun micro brewery that has games to be played and indoor or outdoor seating! Stopped here recently for Santa Barbara Burger Week and they took first place out of all the participating reasturants I visited with the burger called Bacon Jam Affair! I also love the baked brie with fruit and they're drinks are on point! Definitely recommend!
Loved this place! We dined on the patio, fun to people watch. The food was delicious. You can’t go wrong with any item. I expected to get a few slices of bacon and out came a pile of bacon. The fried potatoes were flavorful. The Chest Day plate had the most tender steak. The burrito was tasty with the side salsas. We were just visiting Santa Barbara, but if we lived there we’d visit often!
I visited The Cruisery in Santa Barbara, and I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had a great experience from start to finish. The food was fantastic especially the shrimp, which were so fresh and flavorful. The prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated that quality didn't come with a huge price tag. The whole vibe of the place was perfect for a relaxed yet lively meal out. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for good food with a welcoming atmosphere! Oh and I have to say they have the cutest security ever ❤️
Very cute lunch spot. Sat outside under an umbrella surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. We got the carnitas tacos and Korean chicken sandwich. Both were good. Service was great. The ambiance though, that was the best part. Beautiful sunny day. They also serve culinary drinks. So cute.
We went here to have a late lunch and early dinner; we ordered the following Korean Chicken Burger Pork belly Sandwich Total: $51.33 with tips The staff was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was unique, and I loved the information available in the toilet, too. The waiting time was decent, and the food was served at the same time. We both enjoyed their fries, dangerously addictive 😅 As for the sandwich, my husband enjoyed the toast's crunchiness and the pork belly's doneness. The onion jam was powerfully sweet and not his preferred combination. The Korean Chicken Burger was great. The chicken was juicy, and the Korean flavor was present all throughout the meat, not just on the surface, which I thought was amazing. It did not overpower the overall taste of the chicken. And the staff who mentioned that what we had ordered was a great choice, he’s right - both were delicious and yummy. Happy tummy and happy customers.
Shared the flatbread and the salmon sweet potato salad. The flatbread was as thick as a hockey puck, so not sure what they think flat means… The bottom was burned and black as a piece of coal. And honestly, it had the consistency of raw dough with the taste of absolutely nothing. The salad wasn’t any better. It barely had any sweet potato in it (like seriously, maybe $0.20 worth of ingredients, which is wild considering the salad was around $25). The salmon was dry … what do you mean medium rare?! And I kid you not, it was so garlicky it felt like it was burning a hole in my throat. And I love garlic, so for me to say it was too much is saying something. At least the single leaf of kale we moved from the salad onto the “flatbread” added a hint of flavor. By far my worst food experience in a while. Ambiance was nice, but completely overpriced for what you get. Do not recommend.
We visited this restaurant on 08/31/2025 and had a very disappointing experience. Last year, on the same date, we had a wonderful lunch here, which is why we decided to come back this year. Unfortunately, the service we received was unacceptable. There were three of us, and we came on bicycles. The host clearly showed displeasure about the bikes, even though we set them aside. Then he asked us to come back to him “without bicycles” so he could see us properly, which felt unnecessary and rude. Finally, he refused to seat us outside, saying the only free tables were for larger groups, and therefore not available for us. Even more shocking was that he refused a family with a stroller and a baby right before us. Does this mean parents have to get rid of their baby just to have a meal here? This kind of attitude toward guests is unacceptable. I strongly urge the management to take action, because such behavior damages the restaurant’s reputation and drives loyal customers away.
