Cantaritos Mexican Restaurant Albans Reviews
For being in the mall and not having many reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed. It is simple, hot and delicious. I feel their prices could be lower but they have to pay those pesky mall fees. Still, give it a try!
Delicious street tacos! With tons of fresh ingredients, great flavor and their spicy salsa truly has a nice kick!
Great food and service. Tastes like you're in México. The food is flavorful. The ingredients taste fresh. They will have michelada's soon.
Cristian is was a very nice host. Including all other employees.

I ordered the chicken street tacos with no onions and extra cilantro with rice on the side and it was soooo good!!! The chicken was seasoned and tasted absolutely delicious!! And the rice didn't miss at all! First time here and I will gladly be back the next time I'm at the mall.
I work in the mall, and have loved everything I’ve gotten from CANTARITOS. I’ve loved it! I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for some fantastic Mexican food. I was surprised by the quality of food, because I’ve not come to expect much from a food court experience, but this is different. It’s absolutely delicious. In fact, tell them Johnny sent you!
Truly the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had. Not only is the customer service a 10/10, but the food is phenomenal. I can’t wait for them to open another location. We try to come here atleast once a month! Sooo yummy. Try the birria tacos. The best in OKC!
The food tasted great and seemed very fresh. The chori Pollo is some of the best I've had in Oklahoma! Highly recommend it if you're in the Penn Square Mall.
This food is way better than one would expect at a mall food court!! They sell beer too!!
Great food! I had the Cali Asada Fries. Great flavor, plus they have classic coke (in the bottle!) Wife had the Quesadilla. Looked tasty! Thanks guys!
Man let me tell you something....this place is bangin!!!!! Got the Chori Pollo and holy crap it was so good, definitely better than some of the more high end Mexican restaurants. You should definitely not pass this place up if you are coming to the mall I know I will definitely be back as many times as I can. Can't wait to try something else from here.
Best food in the mall, by far, but this isn’t just a quick food stop. It’s like an authentic Hispanic home-cooked meal. So glad to see they have opened another location as well!
This place is amazing. I ordered something I was allergic to by mistake and they remade the food for. Service is top notch and the drinks are on point. Everything is delicious from queso, chicken, beans and rice, and drink. I will happily return.
Not a big fan of mall food, but Cantaritos has really good flavors and seasonings - especially compared to bland chains like Ted's and others. I'd drive there, park, and go to the food court to eat their Mexican food without hesitation. Have made that trip multiple times. Wife also likes their food, but can't eat spicy like me, but they have something for both of our preferences.
Only time I come to Penn square mall is for Cantaritos Mexican Grill! My coworker and I come here every payday during our lunch breaks and order the sooner fajitas. So so so so so so so delicious, especially when you pair it with their hottest salsa! The price is a bit high to eat it everyday, hence us coming here every payday, but I will say it is well worth the $16! For the amount and quality you receive, I will always be a customer here! One of the sons mentioned they may be opening another location in reno which im very excited for! I wish them all the success!
Was craving good Mexican tacos and I got their chicken tacos on flour tortillas with rice and beans. Everything was so good! Their red salsa does have heat to it, but tasted really good on the tacos! The food was fresh made to order. The 2 guys working there were really friendly. Meat for tacos was made fresh, put of the grill as soon as order was put in. Good, authentic Mexican food! Would definitely keep eating here and highly recommend!!
Why did you close!! I loved this place.

At Penn Square Mall in OKC. A few days ago I had a nice Mexican meal at the Cantaritos Mexican Grill in the food court. So today I decided to try their Carne Asada meal which included two ~1/8 inch thick flank steaks. When I took the meal to my table, and opened everything up, I realized that they only provided me with a plastic fork, and they didn’t have any other plasticware out for their customers. So I bagged everything back up, went back to the grill, and asked for a plastic knife to cut the steaks. The cashier said that they only have plastic spoons and forks. I asked her how I was supposed to eat the steaks without a knife to cut it up? She said “sorry”. “You could tear up the steaks”. After giving her a “you’ve got to be kidding me” look. I returned to the table and ate the veggies, then attempted to tear the steaks apart with my fork. That wasn’t working, so I bagged up the meal again, returned to the counter, told her that I am unable to tear the steaks apart with a plastic fork. (Flank steaks are thin, but tough cuts if meat.) So the cook said that he would cut it up for me. He cut the steaks into ~1.5” x 3 or 4”strips. So I returned to the table once again, and had a miserable time tearing apart the strips of meat with my teeth, fingers and a plastic fork in order to get them down. Worst meal experience that I can remember. What kind of restaurant would have two different steak meals on their menu and not provide at least a plastic knife to cut them?!?!? Photo was taken after the cook cut the steaks into strips that are too large to eat.

$18 for a quesadilla and $3 for a cup of water, what a joke. Food isn't bad but definitely shouldn't cost this much, but I'm the idiot for paying for it anyway 🤪

Wow 9dls for this cup of pinnacle with chamoy and Tajín! Robbery!!! I know they are inside a mall, rent probably expensive but that’s not an excuse to over charge for this! I will never ever go back and try anything ! Please avoid this place !!
This was what I experienced the last time I went to Cantaritos Mexican grill. View attached photos please...
