Esquire Diner Albans Reviews
Very nice. I hadn't been here in years.
Good diner food with many options- including turkey substitutes for both bacon and sausage- and excellent, friendly service.
Love this place. Walking distance from my house in Ozone Park. Wide variety of really good food. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and more privacy at the tables than you'd expect for a diner. They break up the space with partitions and have pleasant, soft lighting. Beautiful, well maintained exterior.
Good comfort food, very "homie" environment and huge selection of food. Its a great diner to have in our neighborhood. Its just a little bit more expensive than what I would expect in Queens. Bill came up to $25 before tips for apple pie with ice cream and order of french toast with fruit jam.
The Server Sucks; she was very dishonest. Although the menu included Wine & salad the Server was still billing us Ala carte & calculating the Tax included in the Tipping total as 22% when the table has 3 persons
The food was horrible. No string beans so they gave me spinach and it was sooo bitter. Fish tasted old. I've heard this place is bad but decided to try it and it was worse. Bathroom had no soap just water in a soap dispenser. We expect much more for the price and area. Disgusting.
The food is good, and the service is okay. But the food prices are way too high compared to other diners. Also, keep in mind that if you go there and pay with a credit or debit card they will charge you tax twice. No sense.
Basically I asked for no lettuce and they gave me what seems to be the core of the lettuce on my burger? Idfk, table was sticky, silverware was smudgy. This guy that works there taking the temperature, very rude. The waitress though was very nice, very helpful and the only reason i gave two stars.
So I came here to eat before the service was great my only complaint is the caucasian lady that answers the phone has a very bad attitude, I ordered carry out today and she didn’t even hand me the food just had a bad attitude and just pointed to the counter & “ told me your food is over there” . This is no way to treat customers who are literally paying for their service. Instead of being appreciative that we decided to come spend money at this restaurant we get treated like peasants . What ever happend to good customer service ?!
One of the worst place ever I ate. Please don't get the salmon if you ever need to stop by here. The fish was definitely old, had a musky taste. The manager was quick to inform, "I'm going to charge you for the salmon but you can get something else." It was so rehearsed, you can tell they deal with this in daily basis. It was first and will be the last time in this establishment
Some food is good, but way overpriced. a gyro platter for 20, 1 10lb box of the gyro strips costs 43.00 at restaurant depot, I just paid half the box for 6 strips. the box has like 300 strips. I will not go back, other diners' way cheaper
Horrible I ordered a quesadilla it was huge and greasy like they just threw it on the plate. I tried to cut it up to taste it not good at all. It went right to the garbage where it belong.
I would give this place less stars if I could, unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of food here. We ordered bottled waters with lemon, and the lemons smelled of some cleaning substance. We still gave them a try after this. We proceeded to order a chicken sandwich with onion rings, a mozzarella burger with waffle fries and popcorn chicken as an appetizer. The chicken was anything short of popcorn and half the chicken was unseasoned and unbreaded. They then gave us a plate with was supposed to be coleslaws and pickles. Just see the picture and it speaks for itself. The manager is clueless as to them having all these options on the menu and the food quality is trash. If they were to narrow their menu down to a couple options, they’d be able to send out quality food dishes.
