La Chacra Albans Reviews
Loved my experience at La Chacra! Boris was an amazing server, so attentive and kind. My drink was delicious and I was so happy they had 3 vegetarian options. The veggie lomo was sooo good. Great service and such a nice atmosphere!
This is genuinely the best restaurant in Williamsburg. Whatever they do to cook their chickens needs to be studied - i’ve never had a chicken so juicy, tender, and delicious! the prices are so affordable and the food quality is always exceptional. pro tip- get the big container of green sauce to pour over all of your food :)
We always have a good time at Chacra and enjoy the service, drinks and specially the food, it’s always in point. We just had a kinda bad experience since that day the kitchen didn’t have a bell to ring to let the servers know the food was ready. It was really frustrating to see our food on the kitchen window getting cold while just sat there and indeed arrived cold at our table. Overall, it’s the first time it had happened. Any other day, the experience is great! Definitely recommend trying their ceviches!
I've already visited this place several times and it's truly amazing. The food is delicious and makes me feel like I'm back in Peru. I love the place, it's always clean, the servers are attentive, and the menu and drinks are so varied.
By far, it is one of the best restaurants in NYC. The Ceviche is the dish that speaks for itself. I was in Florida, San Francisco, Washington DC, Virginia, CT, New Jersey, but I never have eaten a Ceviche like it's is done at Chacras! Chacras, you mixed the flavors perfectly on your Ceviche!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Chacra, a fantastic Peruvian restaurant in Brooklyn. The experience was superb from start to finish. The standout dish for me was the Anticucho de Corazón, which was exceptionally flavorful and tender. The portions here are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied and full. The green sauce was a pleasant surprise—perfectly spiced and incredibly tasty, adding an extra kick to the meal. The service at La Chacra is outstanding. The staff were quick, attentive, and very kind, making sure that all our needs were met promptly. Additionally, the restaurant maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization, creating a comfortable and inviting dining environment. Overall, La Chacra is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Peruvian cuisine with excellent service.
Is this the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve had? No, but it is really good and probably one of the best ones in this neighborhood. The portions are good, prices are good, atmosphere is nice and the staff is incredible and for that, they get 5 ⭐️’s from me. Was celebrating a relatives birthday and asked for a candle with dessert; they went all out! From a cute bottle shaped candle to playing happy birthday in Spanish on the speakers & the two staff present coming out with little instruments and singing along- wow! That alone won my business again! The food was good, fresh and they got everything right. The waitress was very attentive & the bartender made some really good passion fruit margaritas. Thank you for your incredible service- I look forward to returning 🥂
Must visit we had a great time and food was delicious, sure will be back to try other dishes. Fresh food ceviche, steak on point beer nice and cold. Prices very affordable. Keep up great service as well our waitress was very frendly and what i like the most she always came back and ask we were doing if we need anything else .. see you soon again
We were waiting on King Kog to fix my bike, so we decided on Peruvian. This place seemed a bit pricey to me but whatever. I gotta say, the food was DELICIOUS and the portions were YUGE. definitely worth the money. The service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was quaint. I gotta give 5 stars here. I’ll be back.
Y’all this is the best Peruvian food ever, my partner who is Peruvian says he finally found the spot after a year of searching!! It has the best ceviche I’ve had ever in NYC period! SO GOOD!! The paella was also so good, portions were great we had leftovers to take home YUM! The service is also so amazing and there’s lit music playing, everything was just fantastic!! Thank you so much, the food and experience made my ENTIRE WEEK <3
Great dinner! First round of drinks was on happy hour. Then ordered ceviche mixto which tasted fresh followed by veal heart skewers which were tender. As a main got some green pasta with skirt steak. All classics. Ended the evening with a flan and Peruvian whisky. Yes Peruvians make whisky! Service was great. I’ll be back for sure. The only thing I didn’t like was that tip was added to a party of 3 since our bill was over $200 and 4% credit card fee. Price and value I’ll give it 5 stars.
Food was really, really good. I was honestly a bit shocked how good everything was. Fried fish wasn’t greasy, seafood in the ceviche was super fresh, and the steak in the lomo saltado was cooked to perfection. Everything came in a generous portion. Service was also very friendly and efficient. This is a gem in Williamsburg! Go support a wonderful small business.
Kept going back and forth between 4 or 5 stars, overall still recommend coming here if you’re looking for some close to authentic Peruvian food in the middle of Brooklyn. Service is fast and polite, seating and atmosphere is clean and cozy. Perfect for 4 or less and date nights. Menu is a little larger than I would want but they had plenty of good options. Found the rice/beans and chicken to be slightly salty but still good. I like that they have some plantain chips and corn kernels on the table for you to munch on before starting. Definitely try the green sauce on the table, it goes with everything. Great portion sizes and pricing is also really good for location, quality, and size.
Overpriced… beer at $9 😲 … no heat I was freezing there. Food ok. But when you are freezing how you can enjoy your food? Only with your North Face on 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣… good luck I’ll never come back
I used to be a regular at this place because the food is good—I even brought friends here and recommended it to others. But this is definitely the last time I’ll ever come, and just like I recommended it positively before, I’ll now be warning people about it. It’s unbelievable how bad the service was. The waiter looked completely unhappy to be there, showed zero emotion, using air pods (?) and even something as simple as bringing the check—while we were the ONLY table in the entire restaurant—seemed to be done whenever he felt like it. The food took forever, with no explanation and not even an apology. We asked for containers and a bag to pack everything ourselves so we wouldn’t “bother the waiter” and basically do his job for him. Then when it was time to pay, he ILLEGALLY added the tip without my authorization. I hope anyone reading this understands that no place is allowed to add a tip unless it is clearly written on the menu or you are notified before ordering. The worst part was that when I told the waiter I didn’t want to leave that tip, he just said, “That’s how the system is, I’ll talk to the owner.” What a horrible experience. I genuinely felt robbed.
