Mama Pho Albans Reviews
What a great meal! The vibes were good, the staff were friendly, and most importantly… the food was delicious. I got the chicken pho and the chicken was nice and tender, with the noodles perfectly cooked. My dining mate got a summer roll which was very much enjoyed. I’d highly recommend, especially on a cold winter day like today!
I arranged for six of us to meet here. The staff provided great service, being friendly and regularly attentive. The meals here beat what you find at high-end places. We felt welcomed immediately and the excellence never stopped. The restaurant features a nice environment.
Delicious rib eye pho! Big bowl with very tender beef, the broth was very tasty too. The servers were so kind to me, and the restaurant atmosphere is great for friends, family or just for yourself seating in the bar and talking to the bartenders while eating. Overall I had a good experience! The prices are reasonable. I will def be back 💯🫶🏽
My favorite soup is Pho, and it's always been difficult for me to find a really good one. But now I've found my favorite place in Brooklyn to eat good Pho, and that's Mama Pho restaurant. Also there seems to be a different owner now, the restaurant maintains its higher standards, now is MUCH BETTER than before! The place looks very nice and clean, a lot of plants which gives cozy vibe! and the service is exceptional. I had a wonderful dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back.
Service was a bit slow and pho soup was not savoury enough (it’s very sweet) but otherwise, no complaints about the food. Adding extra brisket to the mama pho was the best idea ever because it made the ratio of pho to meat a lot better. The short rib was tender as well. Pork chop for pork chop rice was good too. The lemon grass chicken summer rolls were decent but we would not get them again.
Narrow and not group friendly pho joint. I felt the broth was clean and flavorful - didn't have the dry mouth msg feeling afterward. Beef is ribeye cut according to the menu and seems that way as the beef was very soft and tender. Downside was they only gave 1 meat ball (cut in half). Will need to try the Banh Mi next time. Staff was friendly and service rather quick.
The food delivery arrived without any security measures. The main paper bag was not even stapled. If the driver had shoved his hands into the bag and eaten some of my meat, I wouldn’t have known. This is the most unethical and dangerous food delivery I’ve ever seen. It’s insane! I had to throw away the food to avoid any risk.
I had the Ribeye Pho and it was really good! Host in the front was very friendly and atmosphere was relaxing. I came in around early lunch by myself and unfortunately service from my waitress was horrible she seemed to be having a horrible day already and was treating me a bit off, she also came out of nowhere and asked if I wanted the check while I was still eating..?? Towards the end of my lunch I called for the check and I visually seen her mugging me walking past on purpose without giving my check so I could wait. When I pressed the bell again after 15min of waiting another staff member came with it..?? lol clearly she was being avoidant. I would hope management train their employees properly of customer service for the future. It was a little hurtful because I was excited to try this place and she pretty much ruined my moment.
Pho wasn’t so great. Noodles were undercooked and rib eye meat was extremely chewy. Broth wasn’t bad. Neat that you can order from several Asian cuisines/restaurants. Their space in the back is neat and isn’t a bad spot to work and eat. Overall, disappointed given Pho is their main dish.
$26 for LITERALLY 4 chicken strips in my pho … barely any noodles .. asked for extra jalapeños, they brought half of a sliced jalapeño … broth was great though, will give them that
My 3 friends and I all got the same Bahn Mi sandwich and all got sick. Gastrointestinal stuff, do not recommend. Avoid this place.
Ordered a fresh summer roll on today 10/15/25 and got something extra fresh. If you’re okay with receiving raw chicken meat still bleeding, then fine, but I’m not. Makes me wonder what other ‘fresh’ ingredients accidentally in it. The store refunded the order, but honestly, too many places now think a refund fixes everything. Do they realize how often their poor service can negatively affect people’s lives.
Good flavor, but were over priced and the service wasn’t efficient. We clearly ordered a classic banh mi with jalapeños, but were really disappointed with what we got. We looked forward to the complexity of the picked carrots and cilantro and jalapeño, unfortunately, none of that was present in this sandwich. They skipped out on all the major toppings and forgot about the jalapeños. Another disappointment was the packaging. We completely understand that No one eats the packaging, but it has to be appealing to the eye. The sandwich was wrapped in wax paper and held with rubber bands. They could have had so many other options for wrapping up to go orders, and they chose to go for this. Half of the sandwich was exposed and not fully covered (this might violate some safety food handling standards). Sorry to sound so hurt over something so small, but it was the price, the overall presentation and the lack of listening to the customer, is what upset us and made us leave this type of feedback.
