New Park Pizza Albans Reviews
This is the OG Pizza spot in Queens. Rich in history and culture, you can feel the vibe the minute you step in the door. Do yourself a favor and order a whole pie so you have leftovers. Anytime I'm in the area I make sure to stop in.
Top notch pizza Was in the area Saw a line outside the door decided to stop and try it and wow fresh and delicious pizza I tired regular slice and a Sicilian. $3.75 each cash only Line outside took a while to get to the window. Inside line wasn’t too bad. Definitely be returning
Excellent Pizza. Full Stop. Cheese, sauce, crust- all three components are superb. Makes for an excellent, very enjoyable slice.
Well done pie from New Park hits the spot, it’s the best in neighborhood! I love it, my wife loves it and my kids love it. The best way to have it is at the location as it comes out piping hot. A nice cold Diet Coke to wash it down and that’s how it’s done.
Awesome pizza , taste like old school New York pizza. Highly recommend
It's all about the pizza. Get the best pizza around and get on with your day. This place has been the best forever and I hope it stays open forever. Two slices and a large fruit punch! Let's roll!
Been going for years and they still pump out a great pie. Gotta get it well done tho. One of the best tasting crusts I’ve had. 1 reg 1 pep 1 white with the fruit punch everytime
One of the best slices you will have in all of NYC. An absolute must! Whenever I am in the area working I make it a point to go by. You won't be disappointed.
The restaurant has a perfect balance of taste and presentation. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I left feeling very satisfied.
Great spot for a slice or even a pie! Classic wood fire pizza with that New York feel! Classic New York Italian pizza spot with only pizza like the old days. Pizza is delicious! 5 stars for sure
Great option for lay over in JFK to experience a quick New York style pizza and a great water port view. A few minute walk from train station I think new port beach is the station name.
very good example of a good ol' ny style plain pie. They probably could cook these pizzas for 2-3 extra minutes and be better but I'll give it 5 stars off of flavor alone. Nice crunchy exterior and chewy interior. I asked for it slightly well done and it definitely could've gone another 1-2 minutes more. But place is also extremely busy and they are constantly open and closing the ovens so I get it.
Probably my favorite pizza joint ever. Been going there for 25 years. Usually great thin crust pizza. Once in a while a little heavy on the cheese, but how do you fault a place for that? Cash only, don't forget your wallet
This restaurant is one of the absolute best NY pizza places. The ingredients are fresh, it's expertly cooked, and they've been making pizza this way for a very long time. NYC pizza is the best in the US, and New Park is one of the best pizzerias in NYC. Very high on the list for best pizzerias overall. Very highly recommend, a must-try!
The best pizza I tried ever. Highly recommend
The place is worth the travel every time you have a pizza craving. The crust is a perfect combination of chewy and crispy.
The other day, I grabbed a slice in ridgewood. It was disgusting. I had to bribe my taste buds for forgiveness. So I went to the place that never disappoints. It's one of the best slices around. Nice crispy crust and flavorful sauce. I might go to hell for putting Parmigiano cheese on my slice. Now my taste buds are in heaven. Thanks, New Park....
Cozy little pizza place with banging flavor. Just flying into NY and I def wanted some pizza and this place did not disappoint! My aunt and I got a pie had a few slices and took the rest back home.
Great place to grab a authentic NY style slice that you can't go wrong with. Perfect amount of flavor and thin crust that's not too thin. Must try
AMAZING GIVE ME 2 SLICES, 4 MIN AFTER I RARELY EAT 3 SLICES HERE I DID ,I TRIED 4TH BUT BRAIN SAID 🧠 NO , I KNOW AND WORKED IN ALOT FAMOUS PIZZA SHOPS BACK IN THE DAYS TO ME THIS PLACE IS ONE OF BEST IN QUEENS , JUST LIKE GLENDALE PIZZA ALSO. WHAT MAKES A GREAT PIZZA 🍕 🤔 IS #1 SAUCE. #2. IS DOUGH HOW IT TASTES AND COOKED,,, #3 CHEESE JUST ENOUGH.
Cash only space. This is the staple of the neighborhood for as long as I could remember. Family owned and operated. Have a eat in and take out area. The place is always busy with takeout orders, a local neighborhood gem. Have a parking lot. I ordered two plain slices and yes the good old NY slice. A must try pizzas space.
New Park Pizza is a true Howard Beach classic and one of the best spots in Queens for an authentic New York slice. The vibe is simple and old school, with a busy counter, plenty of locals, and pizza that always delivers. The regular slice is thin and crisp with just the right char, balanced sauce, and perfect cheese, while the Sicilian is thick, airy, and golden. Ask for your slice well done if you like a little extra crunch. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the service is quick even when the place is packed. It is no frills but full of energy and flavor. If you want the kind of pizza that defines New York, New Park Pizza is a must visit.
The pepperoni pizza was delicious. It had a nice thin crust as well. It was so good we took a whole pie home too.
Cash only when I’m angry and need to cool off I drive to New Park Pizzeria (accessible from ending of BK in 15mins). Eat hands down the most consistent slice of pizza in Queens and arguably NYC, same owner and same quality since I young.
Easily one of the top 3 best pizza places on earth. Baked to perfection in a brick oven. The crust is so delicious and crispy. Words can’t describe how spectacular the pizza is at New Park Pizza. We always stop here for a slice on the way home from Rockaway Beach. I’ve never been to New Park Pizza when there wasn’t a line. The Italian ices are great too! This place isn’t anything fancy but it’s worth every penny.
Flew into JFK and wanted to try some NY pizza... this place was pretty close and boy it didn't disappoint! Nice walk there from the train station(took about 10-15 min) Atmosphere is pretty cool being a small place(old school cash register and brick oven right up right)And takes CASH ONLY. Pizza was a good price for size and was damn good!! Got slices of pep with sausage, a regular pep and a square pep with peppers. WOW 👌 Crispy crust with a little bit of bend and the square was cooked perfectly with crispy crust but still soft under toppings. We'll definitely recommend to try if you got a little time to kill around JFK!
If you’re ever in Queens, this is the pizza spot to try! It’s a bit of a trek if you’re not from the neighborhood but it’s so work and it the guys are great! We live 5 minutes away and only need to call 10 mins ahead of time for pick up. They have a good amount of parking so don’t working about where to park, especially in the cold. Tip: when your order your slice or pie, order it well done so it’s not soggy-ish in the middle. Enjoy!
On my top 10 favorite pizza spots in New York. Fast service busy evenings n weekends. Good location right on the corner of cross bay Blvd Off the belt Pkwy n s conduit. Prices are still good. Pizza is great with or without toppings Parking can be a little crazy during busy times. Been around forever n still delivers quality.
This is the quintessential NEW YORK SLICE! I was in town with work and walked here with my coworker. He was blown away. I always get the white slice but this time got a pepperoni... All incredible. Small seating area, order from a window inside a covered porch. And a mobster turned youtuber said he used to conduct meetings here in the 90s!
Light airy delicious crust and dough. Sweet tangy red sauce, just the right amount of cheese, an old school cash register that only takes cash A true New York City feel to the dining area. Find me a better pizzeria in South Queens, I'll wait
My favorite pizza place 😋 never fails. Have been coming there for years. I was visiting my old house from 4 hours away and definitely had to get a pie to go. Yum and it definitely warmed up well in the air fryer. Had some slices there and the pie to go. Always come back and take pies to PA to share with my in laws
One of the best kept hidden places in Queens to buy pizza. The slices are probably the cheapest in the city because the volume is so high. People are in and out of here constantly. The quality is excellent and they make their own sauce. Parking is tricky so be patient or park down the block.
This is the perfect NY stop for your JFK layover. It is cash only so come prepared, there is a bank next door so don’t let your lack of cash stop you. If you are looking for NY quality pizza and you only have a limited range from the airport, this classic NYC stop is well worth the adventure.
One of my favorite pizza spots in New York. The three pizzas I tried were the classic, the square, and the white pizza. All three were really, and I even go back every single time I go back to the city. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for some good pizza in New York!
Awesome old school feel. Cash only and fountains soda too. Parking was ok. Plenty of seats on a Saturday afternoon. Tbh, really not impressed with pizza. Sauce ok cheese ok, undercarriage is floppy. No actual crust either.
Saur good! Classic NY pizza you don’t wanna miss! For non NY residents… It’s close to JFK airport so get a slice before going to the city or on your way back. Definitely get the cheese pizza slice toasted so it’s warm and ooey gooey and get that cheese pull goodness. Bring cash!
When my boyfriend asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I said I want to go to Bayville scream park I just turned 43 on October 13th I had a great time my mother and 13 year old daughter came with us I went to this years ago when it was just a fire house and I couldn't believe how much they stepped up there game it was one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time can't wait till next year
New Park Pizza is a Queens staple and arguably one of the best spots to grab a slice in the borough. I tried both a regular slice and an everything slice, and both were absolutely delicious with a crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and perfectly melted cheese. Service was fast and efficient, so you won’t be waiting long for your order. The pizzeria offers both indoor and outdoor seating, though space is limited and outdoor seating is seasonal. The ambiance is casual, making it an easy, no-frills spot to enjoy great pizza. If you’re in Queens and craving a quality slice, this place is a must-visit.
I was in NYC for work and one of my coworkers who grew up in the area took us (fellow coworkers) to his pizza spot. Cash only but no worries, there is a chase next door so easy to get cash out. Ordering is a breeze and wait times are low and get your food quick. The pizza is really good and hits the spot when you want a good slice. This place is close to JFK and the surrounding hotels. I’ve already been twice and I’ve got a few more trips coming up and you know I’ll be hitting this place up for a slice or two!
Amazing pizza. I can't stress it enough. Whenever I get into a conversation about pizza. I will always recommend new park. Go check the is place out and thank me later.

Loved our visit. The atmosphere was lively and fun, the service was top-notch, and every dish we tried was delicious. Highly recommended for a complete dining experience
Great pizza. \nBeen going there for +40 years. \nWell know great pizza spot. \nQuick pie and a soda.
Great pizza, great service, has its own parking lot, which is good, it's cash only, basically, they just serve pizzas regular and Sicilian, they do have various toppings, sometimes white pizza and …
Great crust and sauce was on point ! Great small tables to eat inside or outside. Staff was friendly and service was fast ! Also a bathroom if you need !
What an amazing pizza place. The staff was very nice. Food is amazing. Can sit inside or outside. They have a bathroom inside. After eating you can walk around.
Great real New York pizza by the slice. Indoor seating and a few outdoors. Free parking as well. They take cash only but the slices are only $3.50. Every table also has Oregano, Chili flakes, garli…
great pizza. They are always busy not the best place to sit down nor the washroom is upto standards for the price of slice you will pay but their pizza is good and cash only.

I have been coming here for years and it's one of my favorite joints for pizza on the south side of Queens. Though it is not always best because of the way this pizzeria is famous and busy nonstop.

Great NY Pizza since 1957. Inside and patio seating. Not always easy to find parking. This is a typical NY pizza joint....no frills.
The best pizza I have ever had hands down a 10 ! The service was exceptional and it was an all around great experience
I've been eating here for over 60 years. Best pizza on the planet. Much better than all the hyped up ones in Manhattan. Fast service is the norm. I wish that I lived closer so I could come more oft…
Quite simply the best pizza on the planet!!! All ingredients are perfect, great sauce, great cheese and perfectly baked. Fast service as well.
Perfect little pizza pit stop when you’re out running errands and need something quick but satisfying. This is the kind of place where you can grab a couple of slices and keep it moving without feeling heavy or overly full afterward. The crust is thin and crisp, exactly how I like it, and the cheese is really good and well-balanced. I personally would’ve loved a little more sauce, but even with that, the pizza was still very enjoyable overall. Service here is fast and efficient, which makes it ideal for a quick bite. Everyone was straight to the point but friendly. Seating-wise, they have indoor seating and also outdoor tables for warmer days, which is a nice option if you want to sit and enjoy your slice. Overall, a solid go-to pizza spot when you want something simple, tasty, and easy without the commitment of a full sit-down meal. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re nearby. Just keep in mind that this spot is cash only.
I was craving New York pizza so I made the Uber from JFK. The pizza was good, just not great. I did like the flopiness but it needs more because it’s paper thin. Other than that, the toppings are plentiful, the extra cheese was exactly what I was looking for. cash only and bring a lot of it because it can get expensive
little pizza place near the airport that we've been wanting to try for a while. pizza itself was piping hot and ginormous~ we got sausage mushroom and it tasted pretty good. the only problem we had with the pizza is that it was a bit soft on the bottom which is okay but we do prefer a bit more crispy bottom. overall a good experience and a good pizza :)
Best Pizza in NYC. Nothing beats it. Very simple yet tasty. All they serve is regular cheese pies and Sicilian pies. Toppings are placed on top upon request. Slices are not crispy if you are into that. You can request it to be well done but it is best eaten on the spot. Not something you want to take home and reheat. There is plenty of seats in the front and back. They recently remodeled so it is now air conditioned if you are looking for some place to escape the heat during the hot humid summers of NYC. Only negative is it is cash only.
This is some really good pizza and worth the trip from Brooklyn. The sauce and cheese they use is high quality but the dough could be cooked a bit more. It was a bit soggy when we came here and there was no crisp at all. I still think once this is cooked a bit more, this would be some top notch pizza. I’ll come by again in the future because we might have just got a doughy pizza.
Great place to get a slice or pie of pizza especially late at night. You can’t get a slice no fresher than this. This place has been around for decades. I came here only a few times over the years. But it never disappoints. I hope they continue with the same good food and most importantly the quality of the food for many years to come. They have to best white pizza here in my opinion. They only take cash here just to warn you.
Been coming here for 30 years. I absolutely love this place and is my standard for a NYC slice. (+) Best regular cheese slice, flavor of pizza is consistent/hasn’t changed (-) Inconsistent in how they stretch the pie (random thick/thing spots), inconsistent on how they cook it (sometimes under/overcooked), if you say well done- they completely burn it, but if you don’t, they sometimes give you dough that’s barely cooked. (-) A bit shady- they sometimes randomly round up the next dollar for the total price (e.g. if it’s $12.25, they would just tell you $13). You really need to stop doing these practices because you’re going to start losing life long customers like me.
Ended up at New Park Pizza in Howard Beach NY, Slices came out Very Good. Wish i was in a situation to get a pie to-go because one came out as i was walking out that looked very good. Had an Apizza "char and chew," the cheese was pretty fresh, and the sauce was a very basic tomato puree, which is how a lot of og spots do it. Would definitely recommend 8/10 for me.
I won’t say that New Park Pizza is the best pizza in all of NY but it IS my favorite! Hard to be objective because everyone’s tastes differ. For me New Park Pizza has the right combo of chew, sauce and cheese. I had to give them a four star rating because their pizza sauce was on the salty side. Other than that it was perfect, for me.
New Park Pizza is undeniably a neighborhood staple. Their pizza is fantastic - hands down one of the best in Howard Beach. If you're in the area, it's a must-try. However, the inconsistent service is a major drawback. While I've personally enjoyed my experiences, it's clear from other customers' reactions that the staff's attitude can be a real turn-off, especially when dealing with requests for non-burnt slices. The pizza is a star, but the service needs serious improvement. Also, it's cash only!! IG📸 @adventureofourlifetime

Cash only establishment. \n\nQuick service and nice employees. \n\nThis place is considered to be one of the best pizza shops in the area, and they certainly do not disappoint. Try the cheese pizza…
Lowkey, the pizza was buns! Floppy, soggy, too much cheese, not enough sauce and the sauce was weak. Not a good representation of NY pizza. The main guy was a nice guy though.
Took skytrain here from JFK after seeing it recommended as a local place. TLDR will go somewhere else next time. Crust is good but otherwise heavy toppings on the everything were undercooked due to the fast cook in a high-temp oven, while meat one has sausage sprinkled on *after* it comes out, so is constantly falling off. Might save kitchen time but it's at your expense. If NYC people actually believe this is peak pizza I feel sorry for them. VERY expensive for what you get - two thin slices (one everything 6.75 + one sausage 3.75) was over $11! Cash only is a PITA If you don't have it (plus add a few more bucks to the price, all so they can avoid taxes at your expense). For JFK visitors add skytrain cost of $17 round trip. Plus ATM fees if you don't have USD cash. Much cheaper to eat at the airport or get a cab to go anywhere else that respects the customer.
The pizza was alright. Service could be better. Be prepared they only accept cash, and state it proudly on their signs. The younger guy working at the counter should be more friendly. Tables were dirty, at least in that separate takeout area, it looked like nobody cleaned them after the customers left.
Okay, so first off parking lot, it's not that bad if you know how to park, You're good. There are plenty of tables it does get packed. The prices are slightly higher from what is advertised online for the pizza and drinks. I didn't get anything else, so I can't speak on other items .the cheese pie was 24 dollars and it was burned!! the crust was burnt the bottom part of the pizza underneath was also burnt and no it wasn't crispy it was black burned big difference! the sauce was sweet you can taste the sugar in it . it lacked spices even after adding garlic powder.it needs more cheese. Will I recommend this pizza shop? Probably not, but as another person told me, try it again it just could have been an off day for the pizza. I am not sure If I would do that since it wasn't the best.

The prices went up and NEW PARK PIZZA DOES NOT TASTE LIKE NEW PARK PIZZA ANYMORE! No cornmeal bottom, no burnt bottom, asked for it well done and it’s regular, no flavor in the cheese, no flavor in the sauce. It tasted like literally nothing. If I didn’t put on the regular toppings that I usually do, I would have thought I had no COVID. I could taste the garlic so I knew it wasn’t that. THE RECIPE HAS CHANGED! I remember how flavorful the sauce was and how yummy the cheese… absolutely not the same anymore. Even the new Aldo’s had a more flavorful slice than this. I grew up loving this pizza and cannot believe how much it flopped. It was an oily mess! I’m so disappointed and not sure why they changed everything up.
The Howard Beach racial attack was a racially-motivated attack on December 20, 1986, in which a 23-year-old black man, Michael Griffith, was killed in Howard Beach, in Queens, New York City. Griffith and two other black men were set up by a group of white youths outside a pizza parlor. So just because it’s been almost 40 years doesn’t mean the black community forgot about you’re history you remodeled the building but you still have the same mindset‼️‼️
Years ago this place was one of the best around. I went back today for the first time in a while since I was in the area and honestly it was an absolute joke. The pizza was practically raw, loaded with way too much cheese, and barely any sauce. My stomach’s been hurting all night since eating it. I don’t know what happened — maybe new owners took over or they just stopped caring — but it’s really a shame. This place used to be great but today was the worst slices I've had since I could remember. Took a few bites and tossed it.
