A phenomenal experience, the food was varied, creative and innovative. The staff are friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. I thought the dishes were often surprising and elegant. A unique modern tasting menu. The tabletop seats are excellent for taking a view of the kitchen and the dining space is lovely. Overall one of the best tasting menus at an accessible restaurant. I fully recommend this to anyone in NYC a true gem!

Had a wonderful time at Sixty Three Clinton on my birthday. I had a reservation at 6pm and had to leave before 7:30pm, but didn’t realize until I asked, that the dining experience will take a little over 2 hours. The hostess was so accommodating and had the chefs expedite my dishes so I can leave on time. Everyone there was very friendly, welcoming, and bubbly. Every staff that came by described every dish in detail, and also gave me complimentary drinks cause it was my birthday. I sat at the kitchen counter which was very cool since I had a direct view of the kitchen and chefs at work. I opted in for the caviar hand roll which I highly recommend since that was my favorite out of all the dishes. My least favorite dish was the duck leg cassoulet (since I’m not a huge fan of beans). However, all other dishes were top notch and tasty. All the staffs there made me feel very special on my birthday by stopping by and chatting with me, and wishing me happy birthday the entire time. They even brought out the last course with a candle and a hand written birthday card. Also was told that tonight was the first time they brought out carrot cake which was delicious btw. I definitely want to stop by again once they update the menu for the next season. Highly recommend!

My favorite restaurant in NYC, absolutely the best combination of laid back atmosphere with good music, the friendliest people who are never too stuffy but very knowledgeable and an interesting rotating menu that never gets boring at an affordable price for such high quality. The chef’s counter is the best seat in the house, would highly recommend for a date night to anyone!

Went for the winter menu and the food was exquisite. Every course, every bite was thoughtful and delicious. The wine pairing was excellent as well. Atmosphere is very cool - the setup felt sort of homey in an upscale way. Service was incredible - staff was so kind and attentive and thoroughly explained each course, ingredient, and beverage. We were there celebrating and every single server congratulated us and even gave us a congratulatory card signed by all the staff before we left. Price was very fair for the experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Been to a few Michelin Star restaurants around the world and this didn't disappoint. The best bites for me was the Breakfast Taco, Spanish Mackerel, and the Melon Sorbet. I couldn eat these items everyday for the rest of my life. Overall it was a lovely evening and fantastic food.

The service at Sixty Three Clinton is truly unmatched—attentive without being intrusive. The courses kept coming one after another, each dish presented with precision and flavors I’ve never experienced before. By the fourth course, I was already feeling full, yet each plate was so perfectly crafted that I couldn’t resist savoring it. An unforgettable dining experience, both in taste and service.

We came here for our anniversary and were blown away by the quality of food, cocktails, and service. Everything was perfect. Such warm and knowledgable staff too. They went above and beyond and made the evening the most special. Will absolutely come back!!

3rd time having dinner at Sixty Three Clinton + each time it feels like a big, warm hug. 7 courses of inspired, thoughtful flavours that doesn’t break the bank (at least by NYC standards). The team who work here - both in the kitchen + on the floor - are GOLDEN. Always a pleasure 🧡🌆🍛

Amazing experience, one of my favorite restaurants that I have been to recently. Cosey warm environment and ambiance. The menus are crafted beautifully. Dishes are creative yet familiar. One bite can bring back multiple memories of different places. The wine collection is amazing and I would say hard to find many of the bottles in the market.

Old pizza place redesigned into a Michelin starred restaurant, with a warm cozy vibe. Everything from the moment we walked in till the moment we left was exceptional. Favorite dishes were the breakfast taco, the bluefin aguachile, and the squash blossom (bread and butter was an awesome and necessary addition). The service was incredible, we sat at the chefs counter and one of the owners Raymond took the time to walk us through each dish and tell us the thought process behind how they were created. He also told us a little about how most of the people who work there were friends of him and Sam prior to the creation of the restaurant and it really shows. The flow and dynamic of the kitchen was so calm and collected, yet serious at the same time. There was no yelling or anything of that nature, everyone seemed do in sync. In the end we left very well satisfied and very happy with our anniversary dinner restaurant selection, and we left feeling like friends.

A top-shelf experience from finish to start. Service was friendly and personal, somehow both low-key and refined at the same time. I was dining alone, which sometimes can feel odd, but the staff made me feel very comfortable and welcome, with just the right balance of friendly, casual interaction and leaving me to enjoy/absorb the dishes. They were incredibly skilled at this, it must be a cultivated vibe, and it’s a good one. The playlist was great -I wasn’t expecting Joy Division and the Cure, but somehow it was perfect. The volume was correct and unlike some places, I could hear all the descriptions easily. The food was wonderful- real food with unexpected flavor profiles, which actually worked and weren’t just for the sake of concept. A nice blend of the familiar with surprise secondary notes that elevated every dish. Someone’s review mentioned that the breakfast taco was salty, and for half a bite I had that same reaction, but there were other flavors that came behind that upfront saltiness which let me know I was in for something smart. I think the hamachi was my favorite, but every dish was really great. Somehow they gave me the best piece of bread I had on my trip to New York, and the best butter. It came dead center in the meal, and it was absolutely perfect, exactly what I needed at that moment. The final dessert was so, so good. I’ll never look at carrot cake the same. The pacing was exactly right, as was the amount of food. I added on everything, but in retrospect might have kept my add-ons to just the hand roll, most of the other dishes were fine without the extras. Really happy I chose this for my last night in NYC.

Came to celebrate a birthday after a very super busy week. It was a perfect night. The menu was new and absolutely delicious. It is a set menu which makes it easy. We did add both supplements which were delicious. We also did a half glass of wine pairing with the menu. There were some very unique flavors and the wine pairing was spot on. Definitely would recommend Service was impeccable. It’s a team effort and everyone is super friendly and personable. A couple dishes use a wooden spoon which I dislike immensely but they kindly switch mine for a metal spoon. Atmosphere is casual but refined, airy and open and comfortable. Really great vibe. Had a lovely dinner birthday celebration here! Loved every aspect. Will be looking to return to try more of their rotating tasting menu. The team was very accommodating and went above and beyond for dietary restrictions.

We're early on the fall menu! Everything was so delicious and thoughtfully executed. Food wise I am a huge fan of the first breakfast taco bite, smoked hamachi crudo, the bread that came with the squash dish, and the corn trifle. The corn bread in the trifle had such a nice texture omg I could have triple portion!! Service was very sweet and attentive as well. We came for a birthday and they sent out a little celebratory cocktail, lit a little candle on our dessert, and dropped a handwritten card. 🥹 Overall such a great experience and we'll be back.

Sixty Three Clinton is exceptional. Each dish was creative, thoughtful, and beautifully presented — with flavors that blew us away us throughout the meal. Portions were generous without ever feeling over the top, and the wine pairings were thoughtful and perfectly matched to each dish. The service was highly attentive and perfectly paced, and they did an outstanding job with dairy- and gluten-free accommodations. Sitting at the kitchen counter made this experience even more special, watching the team have fun with each other while executing perfect service. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had — and the value makes this a must-visit.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. The seven course prefixed menu was a perfect way to mark the occasion. Every course was introduced and each dish was creative and delicious. The entire meal connected beautifully —but what truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the night feel extra special without ever being overbearing. It turned a great meal into a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend trying this spot out, especially if you are celebrating.

A Friday night escape was truly made memorable with Sixty Three Clinton and the entire team. Had the pleasure of meeting both chefs, Sam and Ray who show passion not only in their dishes but the way they greet and interact with their patrons. From the moment you step into their place you feel like you’re at home with a wood burning fireplace awaiting you to get comfortable for a home cooked meal. From start to finishing the experience was elevated with each cuisine, friendly wait staff and the ambiance of the restaurant. Our server Simon was fabulous. Each dish was displayed with such passion and decor with flavor profiles that left me guessing what the ingredients of each dish may be. The caviar hand roll is a must try, the sourdough tortilla left a core memory from the time my grandmother made her version of the tortillas and the Muhammara spread was spot on. The Le Boeuf was the savory dish one needs on a cold night like tonight with a perfectly cooked meat over a wood burning oven. The dessert was on a different level where I had to ask for seconds- the cheesecake was delicious and the Choco Taco is a must have in all their menus. I will absolutely be back with my family to enjoy these delicious dishes and experience the wonderful cuisines of Chef Ray and Sam.

Perfect birthday dinner! In a city with endless great dining options, Sixty Three Clinton is a true gem. The service is amazing and food was perfectly seasoned. We loved the red crab rice with corn and lemongrass, and the breakfast taco was constructed with so much detail. The sun gold tomatoes in coconut milk were also a favorite. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing tasting menu dinner for a special occasion. Kitchen view seating > dining room.

Celebrated our anniversary at this gem, and the experience was exceptional. The top-notch service and delightful caviar hand roll were highlights. The food, a perfect 10/10—impeccable balance and flavors. Despite comments on portion size, with 7 courses, they're just right, leaving room for dessert and an extra glass of wine. We're already planning our return!

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in NYC! I’ve been here well over 8 times and every time is just as exciting, if not better than the last! Every dish is perfectly balanced between flavor and texture and the caviar hand rolls are to die for. Trust me when I say they don’t skimp on the caviar. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I work in wine and can honestly say the wine list is curated to perfection.

Fantastic experience for my birthday... My favourite would be the crab rice and the last desert.. the waiters are all very welcoming (and good looking) haha. If I have to say something, I would say unless you are a big fan of caviar, don't add the hand roll. It's very nice but probably not worth that much comparing to the overall price of the meal? Anyways fantastic experience for me.

We went to Sixty Three Clinton on our anniversary to celebrate and it definitely was an excellent choice we made. Food was delicious and the service was top notch! We felt that staff members and the chefs made an extra effort to accommodate us and we were very much appreciated to their attention to the details. Loved our experience and can’t wait to return for more of the ‘caviar hand roll’! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! Highly recommend.

Incredible culinary journey of flavor bombs in every course! Loved the uni tacos to start, you won’t regret the caviar hand roll and the seafood pasta, pork and specials were all delicious. 10/10 service topped it off for a lovely experience!!

Always an absolutely stunning time at Sixty Three Clinton. The menus are creative and the food is beautiful but more importantly delicious!! My husband and I haven’t stopped thinking about the egg and whitefish roe dish from our last visit. I absolutely suggest getting the caviar hand roll upgrade. It’s a special little treat that is always decadent and delicious. The beverage menu is also really thoughtful here with some kitchen driven cocktails like a martini made with house fermented lacto brine. A great spot for a special occasion meal but it doesn’t *have* to be a special occasion to go, their price point is reasonable for a tasting menu style restaurant-of course if it is a special occasion you can go all out on the wine list and go for extra courses. I feel like you can tell the team at this restaurant genuinely enjoys what they do and it comes through in the food, the hospitality, and the ambiance. The staff always takes amazing cars of us and we were so happy to have Kyle, Miranda, and Raymond help us have a really unforgettable meal on our most recent visit. Can’t wait to go back again!

Just perfect. Highly recommend Sixty Three Clinton for a special occasion - we came here for my birthday and the meal absolutely made my night. Everything on the menu was fabulous (especially loved the mackerel and apple sorbet, which had had the most beautiful texture) and everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave me a little card which was such a sweet gesture. Also 10/10 recommend getting the caviar hand roll as an add-on - so luxurious and just buttery divine goodness. We’ve dined out a lot this year and this place is definitely a standout. Will definitely be back, hopefully soon!

We celebrated our engagement here last night and had the most amazing experience. From start to finish the staff were unbelievable and truly helped make this day even more special for us. They gave us great recommendations for wine and provided us with champagne to celebrate and a dessert wine to finish this incredible evening off. All of the courses were amazing but the first course taco, cheese soufflé and sixth course granita stood out to us. I would absolutely come here again. It was very welcoming and an incredible experience overall.

What an exciting find! This was the perfect dinner for a special occasion (my husband and I went for Valentine’s Day weekend) and enjoyed every minute of it. They were offering a special 7-course tasting menu for the holiday with an optional wine pairing, which I got. The courses were a fusion of Japanese and American cuisines and each one was better than the last. They were all phenomenal, from the oyster, to the razor clam tostadas, and of course the wagyu beef and king crab surf & turf. My favorite was the 63 degree egg and my husband’s was the pasta dish covered in truffle. We also ordered the caviar roll (additional charge) and it was SO WORTH IT! The service was also incredible. The waitstaff came out to introduce each course, and you could genuinely feel their personal excitement and passion in their voices. We sat right at the bar facing the kitchen, and we saw the team hard at work - the chef himself was checking every dish, sauce, etc to ensure they were ready to go out. They were also very accommodating for food allergies. My husband is allergic to shellfish and they were able to beautifully substitute a few courses, and it didn’t feel like an afterthought. We will definitely go back again another time to see what other amazing creations they come up with!

I came here for my birthday and had the absolute BEST experience! From the second I walked through the door, I knew it was going to be a special night. Every single person working there was so friendly and really rounded out the experience. Since they knew it was my birthday thanks to Resy, they all signed a happy birthday card, and included a candle on my red bean baked Alaska! Now onto the food: every single dish was a perfectly balanced experience. My one recommendation - don’t skip the caviar hand roll. It was so good and I am still thinking about it weeks later! The shrimp toast also had no business being as tasty as it was! The fun thing about this place is that the menu is regularly changing and I cannot wait to see what the menu is next time I visit. Thank you 63 for such a great evening!

This was the best dining experience of my life. I came to 63 Clinton for my 25th birthday dinner with my best friends and we were just in awe of the amazing food and the incomparable hospitality. Christine was our main server and she was just the best. Every single person who came to our table was so kind and welcoming. The sommelier was also iconic (I was chosen to taste the wine for the table and in my head I was like “omg I don’t how to taste wine like an expert” and I think he noticed I was nervous. And reassuredly, he went, “Its no big deal” and after that I felt so seen and validated so thank you for that.) This was my first Michelin star fine dining experience and the 63 Clinton team made me feel so safe and comfortable and like I belonged. We really felt taken care of and special. We had so much fun talking to Christine, Raymond, and the rest of the team throughout our meal. It was great getting to know you all. Thank you so much for your wonderful service. This dining experience was one of the highlights of my life.

Amazing detail to service and exceptional focus on experience. Every person that stopped by at our table knew where we were in our courses, knew what we were each drinking, where our conversation left off with someone else, and the overall orchestration was seamless. Get the hand roll made special for you by the chef (earlier time slots in reservations). Don’t hesitate to engage in conversation, they are so knowledgeable and will share secrets—we got super secret recipe to brining our turkey before thanksgiving. It was amazing. What a gift!

Repeat guest, both times have exceeded expectations. The food is creative and well executed, even if a dish wasn’t my preference - I could agreed it was done perfectly. The flavors are always interesting but still really good tasting. Oh and don’t skip mocktails or caviar hand roll. Warm and friendly service. Not stuffy.

Amazing tasting menu under $100! It’s a twist of American and Japanese cuisine. If you like both, you should give this place a try. The portion and the taste are perfect and thoughtful. They have a special deal where you don’t have to pay the cork fee if you open one of their wine. My highlight dishes from that night would be breakfast taco, congee, green circle chicken, and definitely caviar hand roll that the chef prepares for you table side during your course. Love every moment! I’ll be back to try their new tasting menu for sure.

R
Rovik Robert

I’d come back here just for the atmosphere - this is good food not taken too seriously, but dished out with class and revelry. It’s best to come here with an agenda to drink as the selections are on point, and they pair well with the range of unique dishes on the menu, many of which can be elevated with caviar, uni and truffle. As a whole the menu stands out especially amongst other Michelin restaurants, but the team and environment is what will keep this spot in your memory.

Loved this cozy restaurant and its food. Chef Trinh came to our table several times to explain the dishes to us. His pride and ownership of the culinary artwork were shining through. Services were superb. Although the restaurant was full, we received the personal service attention. Every dish was a conversational piece, from presentation to multitude of flavors. This restaurant is the true definition of fusion food. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening

Sixty Three Clinton was a top notch experience. The service and hospitality was fantastic. I really enjoyed the breakfast taco and caviar hand roll. The beverages were also amazing. I would be lying if I haven't had better, more memorable food at non-starred restaurants in the city, but Sixty Three Clinton delivered on the experience as a whole.

Absolutely mind blown!!! My bf took me for our anniversary dinner. Well worth his hype, the warm cozy intimate atmosphere sitting in front of the chefs was so special. The seven course tasting menu was super creative and well thought out I couldn’t choose my favorite because every dish was exceptional. Raymond, Brian and team were super sweet and accommodating. The caviar hand roll was out of this world. We will definitely be back!!!

Great set menu, with clever uses of unique ingredients. The dry-aged hiramasa was our favorite. Really friendly staff, and a chill upscale vibe.

Surprise date night at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Pre-fixe menu was robust and even though not every dish was a 10/10, they hit home runs more often then not. There were a few stand out dishes that are hard to describe bc the flavor profile was one thing, but the unique and never before experienced combinations blew my mind. Don’t skip out on the caviar roll, trust me.

A true 5-star restaurant by my tastes! Chic atmosphere although in my opinion some tables are too closely set together. We had the set menu and all the dishes were fabulous. For me, the rainbow trout, tofu, and beef shoulder were standouts. We added the truffle to the agnolotti so it was delicious but without the truffle, I doubt the agnolotti would be as good since it lacks a bit on its own. The baked Alaska was a good dessert, but could be more innovative just because we liked the rest of the plates so much. Overall, we left very satisfied and full! * reservation recommended

This place has managed to capture the magic of gourmet new American cuisine, lower east side clientele, and that feeling you get when the ownership and staff make you feel like this place belongs to you. Three food is incredible, the vibe is stellar, and the staff make this place unforgettable. Service was top notch and it was just really fun. I highly recommend sitting at the bar where you will no doubt be entertained by the bar tender, the staff, the owners, and anyone who chooses to sit at the bar. We will return and we can't wait to see what they've changed on the menu that'll surely delight.

We loved our first time at Sixty Three Clinton. First impressions were great: the interior is lovely and warm and the table/lighting/acoustics were comfortable, they offered bag hooks, and the staff was sweet and welcoming. The somm was an absolute delight, his enthusiasm for wine was contagious and despite our limited knowledge he was patient and kind and made some recommendations we really enjoyed. The food was obviously the highlight. Everything felt like a unique, elevated experience but also super accessible and very satisfying. Its always a fun game to pick a favorite course of the night, and our table was split between the asparagus, the clam rice, the coconut cake, and the breakfast taco. The service was exactly how I prefer it: warm, friendly, and conversational. There was an obvious attention to detail and despite the casual atmosphere there seemed a high standard for timing, delivery, and cleanliness. Can't wait to visit again.

An incredible dinner experience—the tasting menu had delicious variety and very few “misses” through the evening. The staff were attentive and the somm was incredibly helpful in selecting wines. If you’re a solo diner, definitely go for the chef’s counter seats!

Every part of my experience at 63 Clinton was exceptional. The food is delicious, carefully considered and executed. Even dishes I don't normally care for (carrot cake - I'm sorry) were done so well that they were among my favorite dishes. The ambience is excellent, as are the drinks. My favorite thing, though - and this is a tough competition - is how warm, knowledgeable, and skilled the staff are. My parents and I felt taken care of but not like anyone was hovering, and they answered all our questions so well. Manasi and Christine are superstars!

Strikes an amazing balance between upscale and laid back with a warm interior and friendly staff. Food was one of the more memorable dinners I’ve had. Every single dish was spectacular. Sometimes in a prix fixe set dinner there’s 1 or 2 dishes that don’t land, but not here. Cocktails were great as well and they’re happy to make anything you want (had a Manhattan). Without a doubt I will be back.

Very approachable tasting menu that is a great bang for you buck. Servers and staff we super friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We did the autumn tasting menu, and left stuffed. The flavors got much more complex as the meal progressed, and were quite delicious. I don't do tasting menus often, and I really enjoyed this. Would recommend

The first Michelin starred restaurant I've been to and it definitely was excellent and worth it. There were so many items that had such excellent taste and the construction of the tasting menu itself was also very good. Unfortunately my biggest dislike was the starting menu item, the scallop on what I guess to be the base/core of Kohlrabi (basically the firm white part of a lettuce head). It was crunchy and with nuanced sourness (the dashi?). The scallop sat on top which was of excellent quality, non-fishy, rubbery etc. a perfect scallop, tender and melty in your mouth. The broth though was strongly sour as well, though a nuanced sour, hinted at bitterness and light saltiness. After the first dish though every got better and better all the way to excellent. Actually too excellent. At a certain point the food was too good. Too rich at some points and too tasty. Like a taste overload. The next dish of the seasonal taco was good. It was savory and sweet but not too sweet. This dish was like a transition flavor item between the scallop and kohlrabi to the more savory dishes to come. After that came the breads and butters/spreads. At this point I was suggested to portion out the breads to eat through the next some sets of dishes. An extra buttery sourdough tortilla alongside a jalapeno flavored cornbread in the shape of a cactus. Both different, and decently good. 1. A koji butter (japanese fungus), 2. jalapeno whipped tallow, and 3. a middle eastern spicy dip made of peppers etc (Muhammara). The koji butter and whipped tallow were CRAZY GOOD. Especially the koji butter. Strong flavor, sharp, deep, but also smooth. I only ended up eating and using a third of the approximately 3 tablespoons or so of the koji butter. It was just soooo good, that you shouldn't eat so much of a good thing. As the other dishes came out and I tried them with the Muhammara I realized the Muhammara was also excellent. Exquisitely excellent. After that was the chicken pate with mole, then a beef trio of 1. tenderloin with beans and avocado sauce?, 2. chili con carne 3. tender meat slider on a chinese sesame ball like bitesized bun. There were also spiral pastas fried or cooked somehow to be mouth disintegrating that went with the chili con carne. It was texture perfection. The Muhammara showed up here when combined with the pate, the chile con carne, and the tenderloin. It was so much richness and flavor in one place. Almost too much, MAYBE too much. (obviously depends on ones palette) Gotta remember that all these dishes were eaten with the tortilla and cactus corn bread from before.. Considering #1 and #2 were eaten in combination with the breads and spreads from before and also their own sauces/beans, things ended up incredible. The only forgettable one was the bitesized meat slider which I ate without the sauces. The meat was very tender, but the crispy texture of the chinese style sesame bun and oilyness didn't work for me. The deserts were also very good and a savory-sweet transition dish also existed here to a final choco taco with a cold ice cream center? The venue was nice. The ambiance was a dark cellar style with intimate lighting between every few kitchen counter spots. I wish there was about twice the amount of lighting, because it was hard to read my menu card. There were also tables but I was not paying attention to seating and table arrangements. Service-wise the waiter, Christine, and team did a great job filling up my water and getting drinks and removing plates, adding silverware, etc. Personable and generally unpretentious. No complaints. Will definitely return. Incredible food and great menu construction.

We came for the first time and had their greatest hits menu. The experience was fantastic. The service and food are world class. Every dish was really good. I especially liked the desserts and gotta have that Baked Alaska again.

Sensational one star Michelin meal (probably my favorite such meal so far) with fantastic, rich and interesting flavors. Not a single misstep in the entire tasting menu, everything was great. Signature dishes the breakfast taco and the caviar handroll lived up to the hype. We had 3 excellent bottles of wine recommended by the very enthusiastic sommelier on the floor and the cocktails were good too. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend booked this place for our first official dinner as a couple. I would've given it a five star review since everything was super nice until a little episode happened as we were leaving. My boyfriend did make note that it was a special occasion and they even congratulated when we checked in (which we thought was very nice). But there were two parties next to us, that received little cards (like thank you/congratulations cards) but we never got one (one of the parties were two guys that were friends). We were disappointed in this treatment. But the food and atmosphere was great. The breakfast taco? I totally get why everyone recommends it—it’s a must-try! We also added the uni and the flavors were on point, and the combination of ingredients made it the perfect start to dinner. The service was great too—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If you’re in the Lower East Side and craving great food, definitely add 63 Clinton to your list! It’s got the perfect balance of delicious dishes, a relaxed vibe, and fantastic service.

Honestly I don't get the hype around Michelin restaurants. Atmosphere and services is 10/10 no questions ask. Now getting to the food. Breakfast taco and the mackerel was super salty. Like I did not enjoy them at all. Trout roe is not good just salty. The broth for mackerel is like the dead sea. 2nd thing is I don't get the obsession with foam they are not good. Once the main entree comes out things got better the squash with pita was great. Squash was flavorful and pita was soft and great with the butter. The hanger steak was 10/10 amazing. Some of the best bite I have. Extremely well seasoned crust great texture only thing left to be desire is the quantity. Sorbet was good, loved the hazelnut crumble. The peach pie thing was okay not to write home about. Overall there was hit and misses but given that this was $112 I could not forgive the misses. My expectation was too high.

To preface, I must judge this restaurant based on its positioning and price. First of all, the service was overall excellent. As we stepped inside, we were greeted with big smiles and calmly led to our table. Our servers were always very proactive in filling our waters and seeing when we were finished to bring our next course in the tasting menu. However, I can’t give 5 stars to service because of one incident. In the middle of the meal, an older lady (she may have been a manager?) abruptly came to the table and told me I cannot have my plastic water bottle on the table. She suggested I either put the bottle on the ground, or she can take it. I was taken aback given the rudeness of how she insisted I take the bottle off the table. But other than her, the other servers were amazing - they even opened the bathroom door for me so my hands won’t get dirty. The food was…good. But not mind blowing for this price point. The best course was probably their clam chowder reduction, and their dessert toffee which was surprisingly light and fluffy. The main course of pork belly was not as flavourful as expected, and the sauces were a little…plain. What each dish did have is creativity and immensely delicate balance, which I appreciate. At the end of the meal I actually felt full, which I couldn’t say for some other tasting menus. The only negative in the ambiance was the lighting was a bit low, and for some reason our party of 2 was seated right next to another party of 2. But overall, a very refined dining experience

really yummy experience last night - all the wait staff were super pleasant and helpful. they explained every dish in great detail, and the chef preparing the caviar hand roll table side was unforgettable. be prepared to spend a lot - it cost about 300$ each for 2 people including tip. i would also add that next time i go back i wouldn’t get any of the add-ons like the hand roll or the langoustine because we were SO FULL. like it was so much food. but i loved it, very satisfied.

10/10 service. The two chefs themselves switch out and become servers which shows the emphasis this restaurant puts into service. We had a great time eating at the bar - a great date atmosphere. The food was light and inventive. But giving this 4 stars because the portions were definitely on the small side, we wound up getting dollar pizza on the walk home. Lots to like here though and I could see myself returning.

Ambiance: This restaurant is really nice. It’s chic fancy. You feel like you’re dining in a sophisticated understated elegant restaurant. The chairs are big and comfortable and easy to sit in for a 2-3 hour seated meal. The tables are a good size so the food sits comfortably without feeling cluttered. All the glassware and dishwater was high quality. I also really liked the beautiful flower arrangements they had. Food: I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the dishes. It was a nice blend of different types of cuisine with it’s own twist. The restaurant was kind and accommodating to our dietary needs. I was vegetarian and another diner was gluten free. They made her gluten free tortilla and bread and she very much appreciated it. I really enjoyed the taco. The hash brown and salsa verde was a great complement with the tortilla. The second course was a really nice salad - I loved the vinaigrette. One of my favorite dishes was the arroz mariscos. They added mushrooms for me and used a vegetable broth, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mushroom was great addition. I liked the jumbo asparagus, I do feel some pieces were big even for a jumbo size. The sauces that it came with were the perfectly complement to the asparagus. I also LOVED the sourdough bread. It was soft with a crispy top. The salt on top was very strong in flavor. The bread goes well with the sauces of the asparagus dish. The final savory dish was the pork short rib and for me it was a grilled bok choy. It came with a really well seasoned cabbage side. I really liked the cabbage but unfortunately the bok choy was underwhelming as the final savory item. For sweet dishes, we had the sicilian granita. It was really refreshing and I liked the different textures. The carrot cake was probably one of the highlights of the meal. It was probably one of the best carrot cakes we’ve had. Service: Service was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to answer all of our questions. They were quick to fill our water glasses and check on drink refills. They knew exactly when it was time for the next dish and when to come and clear our table between dishes. I want to give a special thanks to our hostess. She had helped us with making changes to our reservation and kept her word, I really appreciated how easy she made things for us. Price: We did the 7 course meal and it cost about $112 per person. There were additional costs if you wanted to add on some things, we chose not to. They have a list of wines by bottle and glass. The wines were about $25-$30 for a glass and the cocktails were mostly between $20-$30. Insta: @TheShahLALand

Service and vibe is on point. But I have to say the food is a bit disappointing to me. The desserts that blends chefs childhood memory was a great story. Unfortunately both the cheesecake the taco fell short with their overwhelming sweetness. The highlight to me is the cornbread with varied sauces and the breakfast taco is also delicious. However, But the other dishes don’t live up to my expectation as a Michelin restaurant. Whether the dish is too salty or is fairly mediocre. Purely our table’s opinions.

This spot had great service and pretty plating but the food itself lacked a punch. The best dish was the Arroz Mariscos, everything else was fine but not very memorable. Ambiance was nice but the tables were a bit close for my liking, especially when your neighbor kept repeating “oh my gawd this is amaaaazing” ad nauseam. I guess she enjoyed the meal more than we did.

I had dinner here a couple of months ago with a friend. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were outstanding. One dish in particular—the scallop with vegetables—was genuinely bad. When it was served, there was a strong off smell coming from the scallops. I tried a small bite, and it tasted even worse. The scallops should not have been used at all. I mentioned this to the staff, and they acknowledged it, but the situation was still very disappointing. Given the quality of that dish, I honestly wonder how this restaurant maintains a one-star rating. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
