The Wolfhound Albans Reviews
Lovely little Irish bar that plays banging music but more so, they have Irish musicians come in for an Irish music week and it’s an experience. You really feel like you’re momentarily in a little pub in Ireland, listening to the Irish sing their souls. Definitely make it there for that and stay for the beautiful humans that work there. Shout out to Ana who was such sunshine all night. And to all the musicians - especially the Irish woman who sang Linger! I wish I remembered her name, but what a voice.
$5 high life’s and good burgers. i could have my last meal here and be content
Always a great time - go to local Irish bar with fun themed nights, community events, and live music
Met my bestie here because I had a layover from my flight & neither of us had ever been here & OMG... we loved it. GREAT bar, AMAZING head bartender who runs the spot, and the vibe is laid back, unpretentious & friendly.. the truffle fries & espresso martini are SO GOOD. If you come, you'll get really comfy, make friends with strangers & not wanna leave.
Had an amazing burger with caramelized onions (and a spicy sauce I was not expecting)..ha! I'm pleasantly surprised by the menu. Very, very young crowd. I was there for trivia night. Lots of stuff going on. The crowd & staff were adorable. Still a great neighborhood place to go .A very fun friendly upbeat vibe. Love to hang out here with good folks. Bring your tribe here. Grab a quick burger & brew before 7pm comes with a beer for $11!! It's available M-F. Tip your barmen well. Let's keep this bargain around. Amazing cocktails for a friendly unpretentious neighborhood place. I'll be back soon! Check out my photos! They no longer have fish & Chips..
Love this place! Great atmosphere, darts, and drinks. The music was great and the bar staff are really friendly and fun! Looking forward to going back!
I have been here twice and have great experiences both times! They have some great Happy Hour specials, and the food/drinks are very good! There are games being shown on the huge TVs they have and (when I have been there at least) they have had Traditional Irish Music/Irish artists playing either live or on their sound system. The staff is super kind and pays attention to their customers very well. They know how to pour a Guinness!
This place is always great to come. They have a nice variety of draft beer and nice cocktails. Also one of the few bars in the area with dartboards! While I haven't had their food yet, I've heard good things
We went on a Sunday morning and it was really quiet, so it was perfect! We stopped in for a quick drink. They had a soccer game on. It seems great for a quick drink before or after work, or a place to hang out with friends if you live near it. The bartender was nice and their prices were reasonable. Overall, a good local bar to check out!
The service is incredible. The happy hour is very affordable.
I really like this place, always a good atmosphere. The crowd is pretty young 20-very early 30s. They have emo night on Fridays and most of the music is alternative. The music is good and very mixed on Saturday. The drinks are pretty decent. They sometimes have live bands. There is definitely a part that sucks and that's the line to the bathroom lol. There's only 2 stalls.
This neighborhood bar is a perfect spot to enjoy drinks with couple of friends. The bar is quite well stocked (an extra star for serving Delirium Tremens). There are seating arrangements for large group(s) who would want to have a bit of separate area from the main bar, but still can be near by to order drinks. There are 2 dedicated Dartboards areas (which was a fun activity within our group). Staff is courteous and prompt with orders. Although Friday nights was less crowded until after 10pm, it is perfect for groups who want to enjoy the bar for catching up with friends or to be within your particular group. The 2 big drawbacks are: No kitchen/Food served on premises & absence of a proper drink menu. But still, overall a good experience.
After one person in our group got a drink we sat down and everyone else was looking at the menu they provided for drinks. After only about 15 minutes one of the staff threatened to kick us out because we were taking too long to pick. The table next to us was empty so it's not like it was packed. And everyone else did get drinks! We just needed some time to choose. Because of this I need to dock 4 stars. Zero sense of hospitality and very aggressive and rude staff!
