Nikos Café Albany Reviews
Great food, exceptional prices!
Good food, but a little cold.
Awesome spot. First time in Panama and had read online it’s kind of an institution. It’s cafeteria style with homemade Panamanian food at reasonable prices. I didn’t know how to order but you just grab a tray and get a base (I got rice) and then salad and then you choose your meat and vegetable. Then you go around get a drink and pay. Super easy. Definitely worth a visit.
Open 24 hours/day which is great. Delicious Panameñan typical food and general "homemade" dishes for very affordable prices. We'll be going there soon!
I would like to give this Niko's 5 stars, because if you know what you're getting into it is an exactly perfect experience. But I don't want you to get the wrong idea and go in thinking it's a 5 star restaurant. It's a 5 star Nikos. I really think it's the best Nikos of all of them, although I may be biased. Huge plate of food for $4.50. Open 24 hours. Couldn't be better.
This place has a play area for kids which is really nice. The parking is good. You get one hour free by eating here. The food is excellent. Apart from very affordable options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner they also have a bakery with coffee and ice cream available.
Here at Niko's Cafe breakfast was good. The prices, the service and the staff I was pleased with, especially being an English speaking foreigner. Quite a variety of options to choose from. Feel free to eat at Niko's.
The food is ok. Their system is confusing and more than one employee was completely rude because I didn't know how it worked. The Ice Cream/Coffee lady might need some help.
One of the fancy Niko's restaurants in Panama city. There's parking available and limited to time in a very scarce parking area. Food is good and sandwiches great. Great selection of drinks, desserts and bread. Personnel is friendly and attentive. The prices are fair but not cheap. Everyday they have a special meal for less than $5. Overall a great lunch or dine option for family or friends. Edit: my last visit, there was this annoying construction noise all the time during our lunch. Impossible to eat with that noise.
Lots of choices but food tend to be just lukewarm. Nice they offer weekday specials at good prices. Otherwise can be a bit expensive for daily lunch considering it is only a canteen with self service.
They used to be one of the best cheap places to go … food still amazing but service quality decreased significantly
The food was basic. The pastries were good quality. The service was great, friendly, fast. Atmosphere was very nice for a quick service restaurant. No refills on drinks. It’s nice that they are open 24 hours. Do not get the brownies they are gross! But all else was good!
The menu in general has lowered its quality over the past decade. Employees should be re trained on customer service. Need to make the sandwich/gyros stand more efficiente, they take too long, and they do not follow instructions
Very rude and unprofessional service by the food serving lady.3 of us went together. Two of us ordered first and she served us ok, then out of blue, let a new customer jump in the line who ordered a whole bunches of dishes. We waited for appx. 10min. Our food got cold. The cold meat tasted bad! We asked why she did let the new guy in. Then she got mad at us. We should have been upset, not her! No courtesy nor professional protocol? In US, we should receive a full refund! To be fair, we like the food there, and in general, workers are nice people!
This place is about as Greek as me (I'm Italian)! The only think Greek on the menu is a flatbread crammed full of pulled chicken topped with 8 oz of sour cream and chives (which they called tatziki). The rest was mac and cheese, chicken and rice. For half a plate full of mac and cheese and some mash potato it was $10.95 plus a can of sprite $13.95 with my "Gyro" it was $21+. The mac and cheese was kraft mac and cheese powder and the mash potato was meh. If you want an authentic Greek salad or falafel this is not the place for you.
So slow!!!! This place is never fast
Sandwich was very bad. Waited like 1 hour for food to come. Fries were pretty good. Unless you only want fries I don’t recommend. If you speak English don’t go here. They don’t know it.
