Birch Coffee Albee Square Reviews
I love this coffee shop I go to pace and it makes me feel like home.
Handicap accessible No step entrance No step in store No step to bathroom No grab bars at toilet Large enough for a wheelchair Knee space under sink The coffee is great! A crowd pleaser roast. I also really liked that they were very community minded. They had a bookshelf, and community fliers. The layout was amazing. I loved the faux wood hanging ceiling. They had great lighting with wonderful plants. The layout is such that multiple groups can feel like they have their space. The music was good without being too loud. I came here in the winter, but in the summer, there is a park right next door.
Spacious cafe where there’s plenty of places to sit and enjoy a drink/pastry. Saw a couple of people working in there as well. Got a large cold brew for $6 which was tasty (liked how it wasn’t too bitter). The barista was friendly and they also had pastries but didn’t get any this time. Would like to try some of their specialty drinks next time!
I get my morning coffee everyday here, service is always very warm and very quick! There are some seats inside, and the place is very nicely decorated, it does get a bit loud though if you’re planning to study! The coffee is great, I always get a cappuccino which has some delicious nutty accents. Definitely my favourite place in the neighbourhood, and the price is not too bad compared to some other chains!
Nice coffee spot near Brooklyn Bridge. The staff was welcoming and cordial. They’ve got a cool setup inside, ideal to just work or catch up with friends. They roast their own beans, they’re available for purchase in the shop. Lots of variety with blends and single origin, the coffee was fresh roasted a few days ago. I had a drip coffee, it was very good. Stop by if you’re near by, won’t regret it.
Visited Birch Coffee with a few friends for a quick coffee stop. Staff was really friendly, service was fast. Appreciated the minimalist aesthetics of the shop. Washrooms were very clean. Most importantly the iced coffee tasted really good! Definitely recommend grabbing a coffee from Birch!
Being stuck on jury duty means I've has ample time to visit every coffee shop in the neighborhood, and I think Birch takes the gold. The shop is a little hidden (the entrance is actually around the building from where the map shows it pinned), but worth looking for. Small but comfortable and clean, there is plenty of room for you to park somewhere and get some work done or relax and enjoy your coffee... which it turns out is OUTSTANDING at Birch.
This birch coffee is great because it’s large and has great seating areas. I have come here a couple times in the middle of my commute to work and it’s usually pretty quiet allowing me to get work done. I order a cappuccino with oat milk or latte and they never disappoint. They have half of pastries after 4 pm so that’s always a plus when you’re working there after work. Their Cookies are great but my favorite is their cheddar scone, try it and you’ll always have to get it😉. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Good coffee. I have had better. Clean friendly staff. Just a bitter for my taste.
They make great coffee but not all the workers know how to make good tasting coffee you gotta know when to go in. Whoever got the Friday morning shift, dude on the register, should just stick to the register otherwise very good coffee*
A contemporary coffee shop with a nod to 90's coffee shop culture. Described as trendy. Enjoyed my coffee while reading on a comfortable leather sofa that is tucked into a corner. It was nice. Espresso was light bodied with a clean finish that produced a good, light Americano. I did not have a pastry on this visit; would recommend something fruity (citrus or berry) or floral in profile to pair. I did change my rating from a 5 to a 3. This is a good coffee shop; I am just a bit more critical now.
This is certainly the worst Hot Chocolate I've ever had, as you can see the colour, its almost white with extremely little chocolate inside I also ordered a blueberry muffin, but unfortunately this place is not equipped with an oven or a microwave in order to warm up the pastry as the muffin I received was cold as hell and was not at all edible . Starbucks hot chocolate honestly taste better !! We are coffee lovers and we drink coffee all over the world, but sorry to say this is certainly the worst My friend ordered Flat White which was bad too, We left the flat white and the hot chocolate on the counter and left because it was so bad 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫👎🏻
