Quick with taking and preparing of orders. I love the vegetarian/vegan options of classic dishes.
If you like pork then you'll love their fried wontons. Excellent appetizer!!!
Safe place to order Your food. Food taste delicious.. Friendly staff and friendly environment. Best chinese restaurant in the lower East side
Needed a quick bite after being in the park, which is just a few blocks away. Delicious Chinese staples, highly recommend
as far as Chinese american food goes this place is great. the food isn't greasy or salty and they're generous with the veggies.
The food is very good, the place is clean and the workers are polite and friendly .
I don't no why I see bad ratings on here beacause they are the best Chinese restaurant on the block they always give great Customer service
Best Chinese and Sushi for takeout in the neighborhood! The Chinese food is not too greasy and on point. Sushi is always fresh!
Love this place. Super delicious. My first stop on every visit to the area to see friends.
Good variety and great flavor .
girl in front is super nice, delivery people are quick and best chinese food in the area to be honest 🔥
The freshest, tastiest and most affordable oriental food. Great spot. Highly recommand
This is a neighborhood take out place. The best Chinese food in the neighborhood.
BEST CHINESE FOOD in ALL of NEW YORK CITY!!! Family owned and run for decades. I personally suggest well, everything on the menu!
The food was fresh tasty and delicious and the courtesy one hundred . 1st time
Food was PERFECT!
One of the best place on the lower east side very clean people are very nice it's a must go place.
One of the better Asian restaurants in lower Manhattan. The food is excellent I don't have any complaints. I'm a local, I enjoy Wa lung regularly at least twice a week.
The best chinese food I've had in NYC period. THE WINGS... THE WINGS... IDK what the heck they put in the wings, but its sooooooo crispy and good.
Our favorite local take-out + speedy delivery of our favorite classic Chinese/American dishes. We love the lo mein, chow fun, spare ribs, hot and sour soup and when it's available, the garlic bok choy. Nice owner/operators whose family run biz has been around for awhile for good reason.
I have been going here since I was a kid, I moved over 1 hour away and still til this day will come back here for Chinese. Long as you don't have a peanut allergy because they use peanut oil, you shall enjoy your meal!
They have the best fried chicken wings! Hands down best Chinese takeout in the lower east side. They have all the Chinese takeout classics like General Tao Chicken, fried rice, lo mein and so on. Free delivery too!
LOVE their shrimp and broccoli (its not the typical brown sauce version I find at most places). They are a little more expensive but well worth it.
Very friendly and pleasant there only one thing that stop my family from ordering over the phone they do not accept cards on cash maybe one day they will do it just hope it is soon
I've been eating here since I was 3 years old and the food has gotten better. Love the family and the food 🙏🏿
From the moment I walked in the customer service was kind and curtious. The beautiful gold fish in their tank made the wait fly by not to mention it was a pleasure to watch them take the pebbles qnd pile them up. The food was delish and plentyful an
We moved to Brooklyn years ago but anytime we are anywhere downtown around lunch/dinner time we do a pickup. Best General Tsao's, Crab Rangoon, and iced tea!
Hands down best take out Chinese food in Lower East. They make everything fresh and the food is very clean and sauce is light and not overly thick. I highly recommend their hot and sour soup. It’s by far the best hot and sour soup that I’ve tasted in the city. Love their beef / chicken and broccoli and their beef and mushroom dishes. Homestyle cooking it's great. Thank you Wa Lung!
Very pleasant takeout place. I have been coming for years and every last thing I have ever had from here has been delicious. I especially enjoy the chicken corn soup. The people are very nice and everything is affordable.
I been going to WA Lung kitchen for over 40 years and haven't been disappointed as of yet. The owner Don treats people with respect and he's very professional when it comes to his restaurant. His traditional Chinese food is very good and his restaurant very clean. I recommended to anyone that would want to eat good traditional Chinese food.
Old school neighborhood restaurant with great tasting food. They are one of the last places who run a clean restaurant with quality food. Fresh tasting meats among other dishes. Best shrimp with lobster sauce in town. Small sit down area if you want to dine in. Owners are really cool people who actually take care of their customers.
I had Home Style Tofu and the Gen Tso Combo as well as the Hot and Sour Soup. EVERYTHING was delicious and superior to the average takeout spot. The tofu, especially, was full of delicious exotic mushrooms that were amazing. Will def order from here again. Prices and quality are great!
Delicious food. A must have if you guys ask me. Just finished ordering online and had to call them to thank them for the great delicious food I ate. General tso chicken is to die for and the chicken with garlic sauce is to die for as well. Plus the delivery guy was Kool and very polite. I definitely recommend anyone if not everyone to eat here. It’s that good. Way better then Great Wall and Golden forest. Thanks again for great food and service.
Clean fast and tasty they speak fluent English no wrong order
Food was very good not as authentic as some other places but I did enjoyed all that I had and the service was nice
Was Lung Kitchen's pork and shrimp egg rolls were a delight, as well as it's Garlic Chicken entree. It's basically a take out business. Friendly and mom and pop ambiance.
a bit overpriced but the food is absolutely delicious the owners are absolutely great people however if you do a delivery order be prepared to wait up to an hour sometimes even longer this is a very very busy busy busy Chinese restaurant but the food is excellent. I suggest you do pick up
Tge food was good. Customer service was always on point. It's suggested to wear your mask sitting close to friends. Even if your 6 feet away from another table.
Great food, deserves more business, and has super fast delivery and have been eating here for a while and I have no complaints, does have a weird location but that doesn't stop me.
It’s good. It depends on the day just HOW good though. I’m sad they removed sushi from their menu but all in all it’s a good reliable American Chinese takeout. Seating is limited.
Food is good they get pretty crowded on Fridays. They do deliver, I like the Shrimp rolls.
Chicken wings are so delicious and crispy. I suggest you call in order so it can be ready for pickup.
ordered this tonight. was honestly good.. the service isn’t great but i think that’s what all good restaurants are sometimes.
First time getting delivery from this place. I ordered the chicken wings combo that came with 4 chicken wings and vegetable fried rice, and crab rangoon (6 in a bag). I love getting chicken wings with fried rice from Chinese restaurants and always have growing up and glad I ordered from here. The chicken wings were still crispy along with the crab rangoon. Portion size is great too and had leftovers to enjoy the next day. Delivery was prompt and followed drop off instructions. I’d probably continue ordering delivery from here and try some of the other combo options.
I always order just plain broccoli with white rice but today I purchased sesame tofu with broccoli and brown rice. I must say it is very good but they were a little cheap with the broccoli and heavy on the tofu. Next make it balance out! Other than that their food is good. Disclaimer: photo reflects already eaten broccoli but there were like on 5 pieces originally!
Actually went past this spot a few times without noticing it was there. Stopped in for lunch one day and was surprised at how good the food is. Wonton soup was fresh and hot, chicken with garlic sauce (mild at my request) was perfect. Good mix of chicken, vegetables and sauce. Second visit I tried the sweet and sour chicken - chicken was cooked well and fresh. Sauce was right on point. Glad I discovered this spot and will use it again in the future.
The food is ok, it's not "to die for" Chinese Style Food. And they are expensive.
Good food. Fair prices, but the place could be a lot cleaner. Hard to enjoy good food with unclean tables and floor.
I called to place an order but wanted to know how much a certain dish was. The person who answered was the wife to the owner she is very rude everytime I go in there or call. Wish there better Chinese food places around me because I would go there instead.
The food at Wa Lung Kitchen is amazing, however the in-store experience isn't the best, but I recommend it! They really make up with the quality of their food.
It's underwhelming. The food is mediocre 😕. Too Oily for my taste. Very expensive dinner combo. Guess that goes to inflation. Not many take out in the area. Ordered the boneless ribs combo, general tso chicken combo, and 4 wings totalling 36 bucks! In a pinch if you're craving Chinese it will do. Just not for a regular.
Food is OK, a little pricey but the workers there are really unfriendly/rude. Seriously you are a neighborhood restaurant, act like one. I now walk a little farther to get similar food for a much better experience. Good bye.
The minute I enter this chinese restaurant I encountered a rude cashier. The restaurant has a B grade and I give their hospitality an F grade. In all fairness a young lady came in at 12PM and she was a tiny bit pleasant.
Food is pretty good but rude and not pleasant customer service especially the tall skinny latina at the front desk. She is not friendly at all and can't even get the orders correct. She always seems distracted.
The food is mediocre and the woman in front is very nasty. The only reason I frequent this place is because it is across the street from where I live. There as a take-out Chinese place a block further which I used to frequent more but unfortunately they closed.
The person taking the orders to for the Livery needs to pay more attention when people speak to him the restaurant has been there for years and the server has always been good for the past couple of weeks that be slacking I wonder if management or ownership of change or the cook is different
Food is always off and I find it greasy. They are pricey and the quality of food is not fresh at all. The only thing that they can not screw up with the sweet and sour soup/soups! Going to place to put your order in is much better and comes out cheaper. But overall this place is just worth giving them my money or business.
yo go down a few blocks much better food ;]
Sometimes the food can be great and sometimes can be mediocre at best
The rudest people work here. Your money is better spent at Great Wall
Poor customer service. Rude server. They also only take cash. Is 2023? C’mon.
Horrible food no notice the food was on its way horrible customer service awful
Ooh....the food is horrible...it's slimy because they use too much corn starch to thicken sauces.....the soup is like hot jello...disgusting !
The food was not cooked right, I had no sauces I requested, no fork or napkins woman on the phone was very rude. I will never order from here again
First time i moved into the area, i order small wonton soup general to's Chicken and a egg roll cost me $19.50. Way to expensive
Just ordered from there and this will be my last time I've never in my life had to struggle to eat lobster it was so over cooked you couldn't cut or chew it smdh I just wasted my money I ordered the seafood special
Very bad food quality and horrible service, took them 30 minutes to make general tso chicken.
My food was Disgusting and the workers are rude. Placed a delivery and it wasn’t what I ordered . I contacted them and told them and they responded that’s the way they cook!
I ordered a General Tso Chicken the combination platter and the chicken had pieces of wood and now I have to go to the hospital to get my throat checked out( if needed surgery I will take action seriously) horrible experience NEVER eating here I don’t recommend !!!
I ordered through Uber eats! The food arrived but the bag was not stapled! These guys are very careless
This place is a bad restaurant, the owner who serves customers does not know how to treat or respect customers and the food was not that good, I definitely do not recommend it 👎
The food from wa lung kitchen looks and taste very nasty...that place should be inspected by the health department..
They served me bad food
I ordered a food 11:45 AM before lunch, they were keep lying at me for more than an hour saying that the food in on the way. I had to return to the job with out eating it’s already 1:47 and they never arrived, even I call them a lot of times.
Plastic in my rice cooked inside and my kids are eating it as well i called and he asked me if i wanted him to send me a new one next time i order. There will not be a next time there's always a issue here when i order my food and im tired of spending money to not get the correct services im paying for
I had a bad experience with an Indian girl who works there...she walks in and starts talking to the cashier I thought they were friends ok...then she tell the cook I'll help so I asked her nicely if she can wash her hands she just walked in from outside...she looks at me and tells me if I don't like it leave...now I spent $20 I'm a new customer...I told her I'm waiting for my food that I ordered and paid for ...she said she didn't care...for me to leave...so it got loud because...she disrespected me...I asks nicely for her to wash her hands I'm in my rights...if your behind a food courter you must by State Laws of Board of Health compy with Rules and Regulations...which means Hygiene (Wash Your Hands)She was yelling at me to get out I demanded my cash of $20 back and I told her not to talk to me that way...I'm a lady not some young kid... It was horrible smh
For almost 10.00 I got three skinny anemic teriyaki chicken sticks and a thin bed of plaintains last time ordering from here total rip off at least let the teriyaki sticks actually have some meat if you're only going to give 3
I order from here all the time, live like a block away. But today the Chinese food tastes like dirty WOK and OLD refrigerated FOOD. Definitely need to change restaurants I don't know how clean it is but this is the first time the food taste foreigen. >:(
I’m am honestly very disappointed, the costumer Service was horrible they were very disrespectful. I had found a hair in my rice and in my shrimp vegetables and I had told the lady what had happended, she was so disrespectful when I only told her that if they can please double check next time because my food had one of the employees hair. The girl never gave me my money back or even gave me another plate of food. I’m really upset that I didn’t get to eat and I will never be coming back to eat at this place.
I went to order food and I literally saw the cook scratching his privet parts then proceeded to continue cooking I had to cancel my order asap
The quality of their food has completely changed. Super mediocre and very overpriced. Trying to call for a pick up order is a joke. They charge extra for utensils and napkins now. If you’re looking for good Chinese food and reasonable prices this place is not it!
I've been going here for 40 years. ...I ordered a large steamed broccoli today ...when I went to pick it up..I right away took out $10.25 to pay cause I've ordered it many times before. The young daughter was there with 2 other girls behind the counter. When they gave me the orderived I said you forgot the garlic sauce on the side. A new girl said it's $1.50...I said I've gotten it many times before and all together it's 10.25. The teenaged daughter turned around and in a very nasty voice said it's $1.50 and if you don't like it...don't come here. I said omg how are you talking. I asked for my money back...as the new girl gave me my money back the daughter spewed out that they didn't want my business anymore..that I look disgusting and F***you to me. Last summer I waited 25 min for order and she was very rude to me then too. I will Never go back there again...everrrrr...very very rude...Not the only place in town...definitely NOT.
Care too much about their money. I went in, and the lady with the tattoos said that I can't save a cent, instead of paying $16.00, I had to pay $16.01 and ended up with so much change in my pocket. Also they constantly change their style of cooking Foods for example I have been getting tofu for many years and in the earlier years the tofu tasted great and the sauce was just right. Now, the sauce is runny and doesn't taste good and the tofu does not look appealing at all. Also the food is really very salty. Will not be getting food from this place anymore. There is a great place called Ming's Cafe, right near Seward Park it's a bit of a walk and they only deliver in a mile radius but cuz of the food there it's all worth it. try Ming's Cafe. you won't regret it
Unfortunately, while waiting for my food, I watched a rat run out of the kitchen and the workers proceeded to step on. It, picked it up with a tissue and threw it out right before my eyes.
First time I Ordered a small roast pork and they gave me huge roast pork chunks swimming in a container. I threw it out. When I last bought roast pork from another Asian restaurant they sliced it thin and it was delicious. I was so scared to eat the huge chunks it didn't look appealing. 👎🏻
The food was quite pricey considering my first time to the establishment., the atmosphere & service was obnoxiously rude & unprofessional from the female owner. Her verbal approach felt like an attack with rude behavior.l highly advised the public to think twice before going to this take-out place & purchasing anything from Wa Lung kitchen.
The owner tried to bamboozle me when I order something large he tried to sell it for more than what it's worth so I had to go to another Chinese restaurant to prove my point that the size he tried to sell me was it what I was paying for the restaurant at nice but the service was dead wrong. Ripping customers off is not a good look but people don't care as long as they will get their food these people overpriced their food and it don't be all that. People be cappin
Don't come here. The food is horrible. Freezer burn taste on all meats. Attitude is horrible. Owners should be ashamed. Go to may may on grand and Clinton. Much better food and way more decent.
Today was the worst food I've ever eaten from there. I ordered beef and broccoli with no broccoli and extra sauce with pork fried rice. There beef is bad. It has the most awful smell and taste. Had to threw it away. My house still has the awful smell. I also ordered shrimp with lobster sauce. I asked them to make it thick . They made it so watery. It had no taste of labor whatsoever. They charged 32.00 for garbage. Never again. People stay away
Wa Lung Kitchen. They’ve been there like forever. As the years gone by, the food has been a downfall. It seems they don’t care. No love! I’m not saying that the workers or owners are not nice. They are alright. But it seems they just gotten expensive and food is very poor. I ordered fried veg dumplings it was awful. It only had smashed broccoli. Plus the dumpling is a thick pasta. I have also ordered chicken and broccoli, chicken is so rubbery and harsh broccoli. They were once upon a time tasty Chinese fast food not anymore. Sorry! Not the best in the hood.
If I could give this rating one star I would I’ve been ordering here for years and have never had a horrible experience until today. I was greeted with a floating roach inside of my iced Tea. As a business owner myself I put my customers first and the fact that they couldn’t tell there was a roach floating in their homemade iced Tea is beyond me. Do better WaLung you’re lucky I’m not a social media food critic.
They have no consistency, the food is good one day, overcooked another day and can take forever to get. The food is WAY over priced when ordering online versus walking in or calling in. Edit: I just can't do it anymore. Ordered shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce and all I can taste is GREASE. I tried putting soy and duck sauce on my food like I typically enjoy and I despite that I could only taste grease. Won't be ordering from here anymore.
