El Castillo De Manhattan New York Reviews
Every dish reflects care and attention. I dream about certain menu items. This restaurant maintains good vibes everywhere. Workers here work quickly while maintaining authentic care. This place will see more of me.
Today like I mostly do when I'm in that area I have breakfast en el Castillo. The mongu the salami and the cheese were great .The service was excellent they already know me and if you tip well then you get great friendly service..
I was here a few months ago, the food is delicious, no matter where you're from, but if you're Latino the flavours bring you home💖 the place is clean and the prices are fair with the portions of the plates.
love it here… i always get a cuban and the people are so kind. i often split their cuban with my best friend multiple times a week & even brought one to my dad in nj — everyone loves them & asks for them again. great meat (& a great amount) and only $11… i wish i was there right now for one!
The food was delicious. Their dessert was top-notch, they had flan and also Dominican cake.
Good food and nice people working there. It's not a fancy place, and if you are not from that neighborhood, please be weary about the type of people that enter there. It's sad how some of the customers treat the employees there. But it comes with the territory. I'm being honest, and that was difficult for me to say because I grew up in that neighborhood. May everyone be blessed 🙌
This place doesn’t look appealing from the outside. It doesn’t have a cozy atmosphere, service may not be good but the food is super delicious. If you like authentic Spanish food, this place is it. I tried their beef tendon soup and it was like how my father would make it at home. Delish! Cash only. Accessible to F train. Highly recommended for anyone that is craving for hearty meal. ❤️ #nyc
not much to look at but the food is pretty good for a neighborhood Dominica spot in NYC 🗽
Very mid food but they have a nice sopa de res. You can buy it for $9 when it’s the soup of the day. Everything else is generally kinda on the dry side. Cheeseburger was the worst I’ve ever had. the ingredients tasted so old the *flavor* tasted of nothing but old and low quality The lady who takes your order is sweet
Everything was great until I went to pay since when does the company decide for me how much money of tip I should give not even the high quality restaurant do that they put a recommendation on the bottom your restaurant isn’t even all that u have some nerves… what if I wanted to give the lady cash . LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER BUT I WOULDNT RECOMMEND AND THIS ISNT OVER THATS NOT RIGHT
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants unfortunately, in the last couple of months it has gone downhill. They raised their prices which is normal now, but the quality of food is no longer up to par. The portions have decreased as well. I ordered a sandwich, not only was it the wrong sandwich, but the meat that they put in it didn’t even fill up the bread. Unfortunately, I will not order from them again.
THESE PEOPLE ARE ROBBERS. $20 mandatory to use a card & then $10 tip added at the end, With a horrible attitude. The lady serving today 9/23/25 with a white t shirt had a very nasty attitude. Who wants to be served their food with a bad attitude? Purely disgusting. Could not explain my bill to me. If you’re going to mandate $20 fine, but make the service match your price for the love of god. The food was fine, service was poor and they are robbers lady with a bun and white t shirt had a nasty attitude.
I ordered mangu lather in oil and every bite I took of the cheese it was oil dripping down and eggs was burnt and mangu dripping in oil and the consistency wasn’t thick it was soggy and it was mostly onions and really salty
Don’t know what happened to this place but order some food and they bring me the small plate of food that wasn’t enough for one person. I’ll never buy from this place again. I’ve been going here for years and the food sucked. Don’t waste your money in this place it’s not worth it.
The definition of mid overpriced food. Honestly really disappointed. Sandwich was dry and had bread that appeared sat on, rice had a strange flavor, and sausage was dry. Friends ordered chicken and a steak sandwich, which were both tough and lacking flavor. Portion sizes were extremely small, only further made apparent by the high prices and markup. Unfortunately won’t be going back, save your money.
They gave me some old plantains they taste old 🤢and the food taste like it was two days old disappointed with my Spanish people and am reading comments and whoever saying this is delicious mind you these people probably live across the street at the projects so this is probably A1 food for them the bronx probably got better food then them Jesus
