Whiskey Town Albee Square Reviews
Visited from Oregon and had a great time finding a chill bar. Tadhg was very thoughtful, treated us with kindness and great service! Great selection of drinks and games to play.
Landon is the best bartender ever! Trivia! Trivia! Trivia! Need I say more? This is the ultimate spot for trivia in the East Village on Tuesday. The host is to die for! You will be missing out if you don’t come and experience the vibes Whiskey Town has to offer!
Pass through very briefly after another event but if I’m in the area I’ll bring a friend or couple here! Justin was great and very patient—and explained the promos very well! More of a sport bar vibe with pop hits. Has a activities and different nooks. . Went on a cold Monday late evening but — that’s when the true party animals are out🤗 try it out if it’s too crowded then another night .
Such an amazing spot! The stuff is so friendly and welcoming, and now I keep bringing more friends here bc this spot is such a gem! Absolutely love music here with disco ball and disco lights! The drinks are great, the place is clean, and the vibes are just perfect. Out of all the whiskey bars in New York, this one definitely stands out!
My favorite sports bar in the neighborhood. Justin and Landon are a vibe.
Awesome vibes, amazing service. Come visit Whiskey Town 😎
Wandered into this bar after having dinner at Lafayette. Such a cool vibe, especially because Justin was behind the bar! He had me and my husband laughing the entire time that we were there. The drinks were strong. The vibes were on point. I highly, highly recommend.
I had an event here, and I was really surprised. They were super accommodating, printed out signs for the event, the bartender Jordan was great, and we all had the best time. Thanks guys!
My brother happen to find this place while doing Laundry. We had a blast even though it was a bit quite with customers. The bar tender was awesome! Tigg was his name? sorry if I misspelled it but awesome service!
Lovely quiet bar, our server Dash was incredibly sweet and kind, the pretzel was amazing and the spicy pickle back was phenomenal. We were shocked such a gem wasn’t packed with people and it was by far the friendliest service we received in the city. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend ✨
excellent dive bar. really cozy ambiance. the drinks are fantastic, and the bartender, Francisco, is an alchemist. highly recommend. don't miss this local gem.
John the bartender was awesome! Genuine and incredibly thoughtful helping us celebrate my engagement party at the place we met two years ago. Great vibe great bar, music gets loud as the night goes on and it’ll get packed on the weekends - still a fun place!
I love this place! Definitely more fun as the night goes on, but if you go around 10/11pm on a Friday night, you'll have lots of space to dance! The DJ is also awesome - a nice combo of 80s, 90s, and today's pop/dance music. Drinks are on the pricier side, but what else do you expect on the Lower East Side/Manhattan? Bartenders are also pretty cool.
One of the best bars I have been to in New York. The atmosphere is amazing since everyone is dancing and singing along. Its a small place but never seems to disappoint. Would recommend it to anyone trying to go to a good bar in New York City. Play all different types of music and the crowd is pretty young nothing too old. Perfect for college kids
Great vibes for a chill dive with no line on a weekend! Waiter was super friendly and gave us each a TALL cocktail - double the amount you'd get at a typical bar for the same price. However, it was pretty cramped and humid in here.
The service here is great. I've heard it only picks up when NYU kids come out for drinks, but their whiskey selection is not one to scoff at. We exchanged a lot of music with our bartender, who played us Sitting in The Park.
You don't go to Whisky Town for the selection of pretty much anything. The beer is bottom barrel choice and the whisky/bourbon selection is mid level for the area. With that said, the atmosphere is laid back and easy going which is nice when you are just looking to hang out and chat with some friends. Best to get there on the earlier end though if you want to be able to actually talk to people around you.Bartenders are friendly and attentive which earns this place that 4th star.
AMAZING VIBES AND MUSIC!!!! The dj is amazing and plays different genres. I went on a Saturday from 12:30-1:30am and it was busy but not packed. Most people seemed like they were in their late 20s and it had more of a bar vibe than somewhere to dance. There’s an adorable Photo Booth and it might be free (I don’t remember).
Whiskey town is a great time if you don’t mind the crowd. It can get a little close quarters in there. The music at night is great though, it’s pretty much every throwback you want to hear. And when I say you, I mean literally everyone in there so the energy is great. They sell 6packs of beer too. Really nice to not have to fight back to the bar!
Fun little bar with a pleasant atmosphere and a live DJ on weekends. Cheap beers and nostalgic music ranging from hip hop to 2000s pop and rock meant that the bar became very crowded close to midnight! It was exciting but a very tight squeeze.
This place has really friendly bartenders and is a pretty fun time. Until it isn't. Get there early (7pm - 8pm) and you are fine. And then, some time around midnight, it gets SO PACKED YOU CAN'T MOVE. It's crazy. Of course, if you go during a weeknight, you should be good. Great place to enjoy during off hours.
