Wolfe Tone's Albee Square Reviews
Solid pub. Guinness on tap. Fish & chips & shepherds pie were great. Friendly service. No wait at lunchtime.
Tacos were simple but delicious. Enough sause, a little bit spicy. All ingredients were fresh, and shrimps were cooked very well. Mini burgers were OK. The meat is tasty, but I wanted a little bit more sause and pickles. Right now, they are dry. Here, you should order at the bar and grab drinks by yourself. Food they will bring to you. We were at 12 a.m., and the kitchen was working (only small portions). They have a huge variety of small dishes. The atmosphere is awesome. Also a huge tables for a big company.
We came in for a couple of quick Guinnesses before dinner and ended up cancelling our reservation and spending our evening there. The Guinness is great and big cubes as there should be for the bourbon. The tenders are huge and the chips (fries) are one of the best I’ve had in the city. Friendly bartenders and regulars too. We’ll be back!
Our server, Anthony, was the BEST! He was fun, always checked on us and was lovely to talk to! He even gave us complimentary shots of gin. He is an absolute joy to have around. Keep doing you, Anthony! God willing, you will be at our weddings, in 5-10 years!! Overall, Wolfe Tone's was clean, had great truffle fries, and a killer French 75.
NYC seems to have an Irish pub on every corner, but this place stands out. The entrance on the street is fairly unassuming, but walk inside and there's a long bar with additional booth style seating. Food is excellent, the burger was one of the best I've had in NYC, there's obligatory Guinness as well as cocktails. Staff are friendly and engage with customers. Highly recommended
MAITIS is a super special and attentive guy; his drinks are fabulous, and he pays attention to every detail to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. His food is delicious, but I recommend the nachos with steak; for me, they're on another level. When I get off work early, I go to his bar without hesitation. I invite everyone to go to Wolfen Tones Pub and Kitchen. Javier
This place was great! I loved the atmosphere, and the waiter was super! I also highly recommend the happy hour. They have several cocktails, a very good selection of spirits, and many types of beer for sale. The food is really good; I truly enjoyed all of it. If you're nearby, you cannot miss this beautiful place. The Smoked Old Fashioned was the best I’ve ever had..
A little gem in kips bay! A cozy pub with a great atmosphere and fantastic staff. We came with family and it was perfect however could definitely see this being a great spot for a date night / friends night out! We ordered fish & chips, salmon, short rib Mac n cheese and lamb lollipops and we were super impressed - lamp lollipops & Mac n cheese definitely were #1 table favorite for shares!! Will definitely be back. Special shout out to Ciara, Dylan, Caitlyn & Derek for taking such good care of us!
Good morning, Derrick /Shannon/Jade. Thank you for going above and beyond to make Marble's Staff Holiday Party last night a dining experience special. Your kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care truly set the standard for excellent service. Last but not least the food was delicious, crab cakes, steak, fingerling potatoes, chicken, guacamole, fries, vegetables, pasta and dessert, there was something for everyone's palate and all enjoyed what they picked. Your professionalism and hospitality made a lasting impression. We will definitely be back! Wishing you and your staff a Safe and Happy Holidays
This pub is the definition of cozy and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is kind, and it truly feels like a neighborhood place where people look out for each other. I also owe a huge personal thank-you to Derrick, the owner, who quite literally saved my life by giving me the Heimlich when I was choking. That kind of care goes far beyond great service — it shows real character and heart. I will always be grateful, and I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for good people, good energy, and a place that feels like home
Probably one of the best pubs in NYC. Derek provides the greatest Irish hospitality and is a true publican. He made our group feel right at home. Bob and the bar staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable and know how to pour a good Guinness. Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.
Situated on a side street in bustling NoMad, Wolfe Tone’s offers a delightful haven for those seeking respite from the cold corporate hotel bars that dot the area. Cozy, quaint, and welcoming, this pub delivers on the congenial hospitality that great Irish pubs are known for. By day, an excellent choice in the neighborhood for tasty pub food at a booth (or a few quiet pints at the bar), and by night a great spot for friends and groups to enjoy lively and spirited craic. From attentive and personable staff, great drinks and ambiance, and engaged customer-focused management, Wolfe Tone’s is prime.
Great time and atmosphere here! I had my birthday here and couldn’t have had a better night. The staff was very attentive and very helpful to make sure we had everything needed. The bartenders, Maitís and Bob, were fantastic. They are extremely social and quick with your order. If you’re looking for a place that has good drinks and great people, this is the spot you should be at!
I recently visited this little pub while on vacation and I immediately knew this was one of those incredible bars loved by locals, where you’re guaranteed a great time, every time. The vibes were vibing, it’s cosy and warm and the interiors hint at an old world charm that is quintessentially NYC. The hospitality was second to none and I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, who genuinely cares about the patrons and ensuring they really enjoy themselves. I particularly loved the feeling of safety and support the establishment offers female customers, with a safety statement displayed in the restroom and genuine interest in ensuring female patrons feel comfortable in all situations. Highly recommend, and if you’re lucky enough to love nearby, say hello to your new fave local.
Great food, great Guinness, great vibes! Wolfe Tone's was absolutely FABULOUS on Marathon Sunday! Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. We had a great time, great food and great memories. Thank you so much Wolfe Tone's!
true hidden gem! Wolfe Tone’s has that perfect Irish-pub energy — cozy, lively, and welcoming. The food was excellent (the fish and chips were perfectly crisp, and the shepherd’s pie felt straight out of Dublin). The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made it easy to stay for hours. Great spot for both a casual dinner and a night out with friends. Definitely coming back — sláinte! 🍀🍻
Wolfe Tone's Pub and Kitchen is a gem for those seeking an authentic Irish pub experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that set the tone for the evening. Our burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful, showcasing the care put into every dish. The ambiance is inviting, with charming decor and a lively atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Whether you’re there for a pint of Guinness or a full meal, Wolfe Tone's delivers on all fronts. We left satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommended for anyone in search of great food and genuine Irish hospitality.
Had a pleasant evening but expected more based on the reviews. Our first impression was great - the decor, ambience, and cleanliness are super welcoming and cozy. The annoying pop music and average food (we had oysters, truffle fries, nachos), however, left us disappointed. It wasn’t bad by any means, but in NYC the bar for good food is really high! In any case I was there for the Guinness, which was delicious, so I ultimately got what I came for. A gentleman who appeared to be the owner greeted us so welcomingly and with an infectious enthusiasm. That’s a really nice touch, and so wish I was more enthusiastic about the experience.
Wolf Tones delivers an Irish pub experience, balancing warm ambiance with solid food and drinks. The atmosphere is inviting, with dim lighting and authentic Irish decor that creates a cozy, private feel—especially at the tall tables. The service was attentive and accommodating. Even when our sliders needed to be remade, (undercooked inside) the waitress handled it smoothly without any hassle. The drinks were top-notch, and the overall quality of the meal was satisfying. Despite the minor hiccup with the sliders, our evening was relaxed and enjoyable. Wolf Tones is a great spot for those looking to unwind with decent food, great drinks, and an inviting atmosphere.
