Manfri Albizzate Reviews
Great place for breakfast or a snack with lots of tasty treats
Huge and very good brioches, very nice place
A guarantee! We've been buying excellent products only from Manfri for years. As mentioned, the pastry shop is sublime, with top-quality products, from cakes to artisanal ice cream. The owner, Elisabetta, is extremely kind, courteous, and helpful. The shop is immaculately kept, especially clean. Dogs are allowed on the veranda, which is also very beautiful and welcoming, especially in the spring and summer. I highly recommend it for delicious breakfasts, huge ice creams, and excellent pastries!
Excellent location.. Always clean and elegant place also because the owner has good taste and really good cakes and pastries.. and then I always find some special item and chosen with taste by the owner.. I am a good customer.. I recommend this place to everyone
Excellent pastry shop with quality products unlike any other in the area. I'm now a regular customer, both for the pastries and the aperitifs, which are excellent, tasty, and plentiful. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
Manfri; EXCELLENCE Everything is of the highest quality and taste. Impeccable cleanliness, dogs are allowed on the veranda (closed with glass in the winter) and outside, of course, which is extremely appropriate since the interior is small, and fluttering fur could end up on food. They aren't against animals; on the contrary, they are very attentive to everyone. We have a dog, and he even comes with us to Manfri. While some people may think the owner is "unfriendly," as I've read in some reviews, I'd say she's actually very professional and attentive to her work, honest, and kind. The rest of the staff is efficient, attentive, and professional. Superb pastry shop in every way! Alberto and Anna
Enchanting place, very clean, very professional and kind owner. Breakfast, abundant aperitif, extraordinary. Never tried cream puffs with gorgonzola, delicious. I read reviews of people who comment negatively, as I always say what you give and get. Just this morning I saw very rude children destroying the flowerbed owned by the pastry shop and the parents amused by watching the carnage. The owner of the place didn't say anything. Thanks Elisabetta Manfri 🩷Anna
The quality of the products is top-notch, but unfortunately there is no table service despite there being plenty of space and tables. You have to pay first and then collect your tray at the counter and bring it to your table.
We had breakfast, and the taste of the freshly made croissants and coffee was great! The service can definitely improve. The lady behind the till was stressed and unfriendly. To be fair, the place was busy, and she was rushing... but throughout the entire service, we didn't see a single smile on her face.
Excellent products, beautiful but small location. The outdoor veranda is interesting and useful in spring/summer, but totally useless in winter. Put two mushrooms outside because having breakfast in the cold and freezing temperatures isn't ideal!
It's your typical village café and pastry shop, nothing special. Decent quality, well-kept, and in a prime location near the church. Of the only two cafés in town, it's ultimately the only option, I think, for most people.
Bad experience for an aperitif, no alternative for celiacs, not even an olive or crisps in a bag, for breakfast the usual and only gluten-free muffin, often rude staff. Well-kept environment
I'd say rudeness. If you're slow in giving money to the woman at the register, be careful, she's annoying you. A person can't even look for the right amount of money to give before she'll respond sourly. She'll have a bad temper. It's a shame because the food is also good.
Ordered cake for a child's birthday, it was so sweet it was inedible, grains of brown sugar that could be felt under the palate and last but not least it was slightly alcoholic (and yet I knew it was for a child's birthday since she put the number of years... the owner is an eagle apparently); an eagle that was also grumpy and with a know-it-all attitude (in fact you have to be a genius to put liquor in a cake for a child's birthday).
Terrible...? NEVER AGAIN... today, March 19, 2025, 11:49 AM... I asked for a slice of pizza (good) and a cappuccino (cold, to boot) ... I ASKED IF THEY HAVE SATISPAY... THE PISSED OFF LADY ANSWERS... WE HAVE A BANCOMAT... THAT'S NOT ENOUGH... IN SHORT, TOP-NOTCH EDUCATION...
Unfortunately, it was a negative experience. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and seems annoyed by the presence of customers. Furthermore, they don't allow dogs and don't seem to welcome children either. Such an unwelcoming attitude certainly doesn't encourage anyone to return, which is a shame because the place has potential.
I bought pastries. The babas were inedible and tasted stale. The cannoli were made with dough that wasn't fresh. Generally, poor quality. I made a terrible impression on my guests, to whom I had to apologize...never again.
