El Castillo Alcorcón Reviews
¡Espectacular!
Very good food and great service from the waiters. How this restaurant has changed, for the better, of course. The new owners have given it a touch of quality and excellent service. I hope they continue on this path for many years to come. We will definitely return to eat at this restaurant.
My whole family and I ate there today and we loved the menu and the service. It's improved a lot since the last time I was there years ago. Keep it up! Thank you!
Great place for family gatherings. Last Saturday, my family and I (there were about 35 of us) met for lunch. The food was very good, and the service was excellent, but the glasses must have holes in them or something, because I drank two bottles of wine by myself. Joking aside, the service was excellent. Best regards, and long live Spain!
Good afternoon, I wanted to leave a great review of the restaurant. We were there on Saturday celebrating a birthday and everything went perfectly, absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, the place was lovely, and especially the service from the waiters was excellent. A 10 out of 10 in every way! Many thanks to Félix, the manager, who provided us with everything we needed very quickly.
We ordered a set weekend menu which was definitely worth it, as the quality-price ratio was excellent and the portions were generous. The best part: the white beans, incredible. The worst part: the turbot, I didn't particularly like it. The desserts were just okay, typical of what you'd find in any Spanish bar; perhaps I expected something more compared to the rest of the menu. I would definitely go back!
Delicious menu del dia! First coursr stuffed red peppers followed by baby lamb with green peppers and potatoes. Owner was a bit gruff but I was taking a long time to order.
I went to try Menu Del Día and it was quite good. The food was tasty and fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They cared and asked questions if I need anything else. They checked on me to see if I like the food. For 13€ you get starter, main and desert + a drink. What else you can ask for?
We ate here for the first time today, as we don't live here and stumbled upon it by chance, and it was spectacular. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff very attentive and polite, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we've already made another reservation for a family meal. 100% recommended.
It's an industrial estate grill, nothing fancy, but with a €13 daily menu, excellent quality, fast, efficient, and friendly service, and a clean place. In short, we ate very well and left with a great feeling of having eaten very well at a very affordable price; we'll be back.
Let's break it down. The service was very good; they were prompt, attentive, and quick. The food... the starters were average to decent (the cannelloni were just okay, and the rice was more broth than rice), and the main courses were very good. The desserts were good, but I wouldn't recommend the cakes, as they, like the wine (from the set menu), were very basic. A mixed bag, my friends. The set menu is a bit pricey for what it offers. It's €18, and I think it should be more than €15. Aside from that, the quality, service, and price are good. I would go back for the set menu.
The restaurant is fine. It's spacious and has several different areas. The food is average. The service is fast; there are plenty of staff, so you don't have to wait. The problem is the noise—it's excessive. We left quickly because it was awful.
The grilled dishes are very good in terms of quantity, but the quality leaves a little to be desired, especially the meat. The first waiter who served us, who was younger, was a bit clueless. Another important detail is that they gave us some of the house sorbets. It's a nice touch, but when I asked what they were, since my father is allergic to certain fruits, the waiter couldn't tell me and didn't bother to ask.
We went for lunch and, frankly, it's just a restaurant with two set menus, one for €13 and another for €22. The service is rather unremarkable, and the house wine is best enjoyed with soda water. We ordered salmorejo, which was good, spaghetti Bolognese (which was edible), and meatballs. The desserts were the usual fare you'd find in any restaurant. Everything was fine, nothing special; it's not like you'd be tempted to return for exceptional service. 3 set menus 2 coffees 3 beers €52.50
This is the second time we've celebrated at this restaurant, and on both occasions, the older waiters have been quite rude. On this second visit, we ordered almost the same things as the first. However, nothing lived up to expectations—not the hake, the tuna tartare, or the baby squid. The mixed grill was even worse; 45 euros for terrible quality and spoiled meat. To avoid making a scene, we took the meat to the bar to tell the head waiter. I think to smooth things over, one of the friendly waiters came over and, without saying a word, threw some shots and three small bottles of liquor onto the table. We won't be back.
The place is well located and pleasant. We were there on Three Kings' Day (January 6th) and the service from the waitresses was very poor. They were rude and we had to keep reminding them when our dishes were finished, as they barely glanced around the room to keep an eye on what was left. The food was just okay. The rice was soupy and tasteless, and the lamb shank was dry, small, and crumbly. For the price we paid for the set menu (€42), you expect decent quality, not to be charged what a weekend menu costs.
Incredibly unfriendly waitress. I don't speak Spanish but was trying at least. Could not have been made to feel more unwelcome.
