Japanese Palace Aledo Reviews
Really nice people here. The cook, "sam" was great!! We had 5 birthdays in the house!!! He was creative with his cooking style cooking the food in front of us!! We had a great family at our table.. twins, mom, sister, and my favorite, the GRANDMA!! Ill be going back.
This is our go to place for Japanese food. It’s always very clean, not too much of a wait .. as long as it’s not a holiday. Went on Valentine’s Day also and it was pretty crowded.. and about a 30 minute wait so still not too terribly bad . Their staff is super friendly and they have a sushi bar. That is really really good.
The wait is usually long but worth it! I've been coming here for decades and it's always the same! Great food great service and a lively show with the chef. Great for kids or no kids
I’ve been going here for years but never got around to writing a review! Just wanted to say amazing amazing food AMAZING people who work there, and just super grateful for always having a super great experience!
Always a family favorite! The food is amazing…friendly and fun service. Nothing ever disappoints! The entire family enjoys eating at Japanese Palace. Truly something for everyone of every age, even the pickiest of eaters. Even more special to go on Christmas Eve. Might be a new holiday tradition for our family.
The food service and atmosphere are awesome. We come for special occasions but lately we have been making it our date night spot as well. Highly recommend and you should definitely try the fried rice it is some of the best I have ever had !
Came here for my birthday dinner, I had the filet mignon with fried rice, everything was amazing! They give you so much food, I was the only one in our party that was able to eat it all. They give you soup, salad, and an assortment of veggies cooked on the hibachi grill. We will definitely be back!
An excellent place where you can go to enjoy a good meal with the family. It's highly recommended. Bring your children so they can have a lot of joy in their hearts. Those who cook the food always try to put on a wonderful show with the fire and create an excellent meal for you. As a customer, this place is 100% recommended. Those who clean the grills (Eddin and Angel) are also very kind and always willing to help with whatever you need. Very good people.
Really impressed with the food. We've eaten at the hibachi twice and both times the food was just really good. Tried the filet mignon and NY steak, both great and cooked perfectly. Veggies are tasty. The dang eggplant is to die for. They are also great with kids and make sure the kiddos have fun. It's worth the trip over here!
Fantastic spot to grab some cocktails, sushi, or enjoy some hibachi. I've been here over 5 times now and every time the quality and service is great!! I usually get the 8oz filet with fried rice and a tempura roll. Would highly recommend coming here if you enjoy hibachi! It's better quality than the big chain hibachi spots and always a lot of fun.
This place is amazing. The food was fresh and Delicious, made right in front of us! A little entertainment never hurt anybody. I had a strawberry Daiquiri 🍓 Yum!! Very clean and I definitely recommend it for anyone who loves steak, lobster, sushi and shrimp fried rice!! GO CHECK THEM OUT!
Took my wife there for mother's day for the first time. The place was semi busy. It took only about 10 minutes for us to get seated. 5 minutes later, we placed our order, and it was about 45 to 50 minutes for one of the chefs to come to our table and start cooking our meal. Overall, it was entertaining, and their a/c works really good. Wear something warm
I had a very good experience when I came here with family for my little sister's 17th Bday. Even though we arrived close to 9, they still took us in. The waitresses were quick and super friendly. Our Hibatchi Chef was super friendly and skilled, and always tried to keep us engaged while he cooked. He has many tricks up his sleeve and will not disappoint you. The food was fantastic! I have zero complaints about this place. Come here if you have a few spare dollars extra to spend to get a luxurious experience and delicious food!
We met here for family Christmas dinner. The food was absolutely amazing but the waitress was by far the worst service I’ve ever had. If our children wanted a drink we were required to go ask the hostess at the front. And I quote from our waitress “I don’t do drinks only food”. Not even asking for alcohol just a simple drink for the 3 children that we brought with us. I will absolutely not be back due to worse service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. When I’m spending $400 I do expect a drink order to be taken prior to food. Heck even a drink order at least once during our visit.
Beware of the gratuity they add to your ticket. We went in as a family of 4, and they added gratuity. When asked about it they said they would take it out and that their computer automatically adds it. I can understand for a large party but not a small one. Also, I really hope the chef that prepared the food and puts on the show is getting a major part of that tip. Our waitress had an attitude the whole time. We love going here, love the food and the kids love it. But I feel like I caught on to their scam hoping I wouldn’t catch the auto gratuity and then thinking I wouldn’t see it to add more.
I leave mostly good reviews, so this is regretful. Know that I used my corporate travel card, so you know I'm not just being cheap. Maybe their Shogun type meals are a better deal, but look at these photos of their most expensive $22 "special" roll. It's 60% cucumber spirals. Once you take those off, you're left with 8 tiny, very thin pieces of sushi that wouldn't fill up a Chihuahua. I'm not a big eater, but this is a rip-off. Please do better. The staff was very friendly and the bar top photos are "fun". Cheers.
My family of four arrived a little after 7:00 and went to the bar to wait for a table. After waiting about 45 minutes we were finally seated, this was Dec. 23. We waited another 45 min so they could fill the other side for the cooking table. By this time we were very hungry. I was very disappointed in the flavor of the food, the meats tasted very blah. I expected more since I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years! Not a very memorable evening out with my family. We might need to reconsider next time.
We have been here multiple times since moving into the area just last year. All was great except for the last couple of times. We wanted to enjoy our food, drinks and the experience but felt like we were being rushed throughout the meal. Bringing our check and to go boxes while I still had most of my food on the plate. Had to ask for the sauces that are usually served before Hibachi is completed. The menu prices reflect fine dining but felt more like a cafeteria. We will not be back.
My family was excited to finally find a hibachi style restaurant near us and we left so disappointed. We was charged twice for my meal here, and when I brought it to the staff’s attention, they didn’t attempt to correct the mistake. Instead, they told me to contact my bank to fix it myself. For the prices they charge, I expected better customer service and accountability. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I won’t be returning. Make sure you double check your receipt.
