In the heart of Alessandria's historic center, we invite you to Il Vicoletto, where traditional Italian cuisine meets warm hospitality. As locals ourselves, we've fallen in love with this charming restaurant, nestled in a quiet alley just steps from Piazza della Libertà. Our owners greet guests like old friends, sharing laughter and stories over delicious dishes that showcase the region's rich flavors. We're particularly fond of their tripe with potatoes and beans, a Piedmontese specialty that never fails to impress.

Consigliato.
Posto molto carino e ben curato. Gentilissimi e cibo buonissimo.
Prezzo decisamente proporzionato. Consigliatissimo.
A surprise! Even though we're from Alessandria, we weren't familiar with this restaurant, which is located in a small alley in the historic center, just steps from Piazza della Libertà. We had lunch at Vicoletto with a couple of friends and were greeted warmly and cordially by one of the owners. The ingredients were top-quality and delicious, and the wine list was excellent. Service was informal but always attentive.
A welcoming place with friendly and helpful owners. The food is good, with simple, carefully prepared dishes. The bill is reasonably priced. I recommend it.
A dinner alone and I felt at home. A typical Piedmontese restaurant with class and warmth. I was offered wine and grappa. The tripe with potatoes and beans was fabulous, and the bonet was exceptional. Thank you!
A locals restaurant with high quality local food/wine, where you are warmly treated like a local, even if you’re not.
Dinner at Vicoletto was truly excellent. The staff is highly qualified, attentive to detail, always smiling and helpful: service that truly makes the difference. The food is excellent, rooted in Italian and Piedmontese traditions, with quality ingredients and carefully prepared dishes. The wine—a Piedmontese Barbera—was also very good and paired perfectly with the dishes. A very positive experience, a 9.5 rating. Definitely a place to return!
Authentic food from Piedmont with an amazing service - thanks to Mario!
Simple and delicious meals in an unpretentious environment. Grazie!
The food was amazing! I recommend the tagliatelle with lamb ragu and the deserts were magnificent! Highly recommend!
It’s hard to express how much we enjoyed our lunch. The food was full of flavor, with fresh ingredients and affordable. The menu is small and the dishes were homemade and perfect. Our young boys ordered and ate two portions, which made the chef so happy that they gave us complimentary gelato… which was the best in our lives. The service was friendly and efficient. Marco is warm, welcoming and funny. And he loves dogs. It’s the right place for you and your dog.
Godd food and very friendly service.
Paron Mario is a force to be reckoned with!!! Excellent host, we were treated wonderfully. The food was delicious, carefully prepared and flavorful. The agnolotti and tripe were a real treat. Not to mention the desserts, which were truly exquisite. We'll definitely be back at the first opportunity. Reasonable prices.
cozy and nice place
Friendly staff. I didn't speak Italian very well, but I was able to communicate through a combination of spanglish and Italian lol. The food was amazing, hands down the best seafood soup I've ever had.

We had a wonderful meal full of flavour and a great bottle of local wine. The warm asparagus terrine starter in a parmesan cream was a highlight. Friendly staff and a relaxed setting.

The restaurant isn't very large, so reservations are recommended. The food is good, with a varied menu that includes local dishes. The desserts are delicious and homemade. The service is competent and friendly.
A very small but overall welcoming restaurant. The first courses are excellent in quality and quantity; I recommend the agnolotti and tagliolini with white offal ragù. The second courses were a bit disappointing; their flavor was average but the price was decidedly disproportionate. The desserts raised expectations; ask for the tiramisu. Overall, it's a good restaurant and centrally located.
I'll leave this review with the preface that I'm not a fan of restaurants offering a more niche, gourmet selection. We went to this place because of limited availability in the area given the time (around 2 pm). We ordered two appetizers and a cheese platter; the selection was very limited, and since I'm celiac, I had to skip all the first courses. We asked if it was possible to bring everything together, but they said no. Overall, the food wasn't bad; I was just disappointed that the dishes weren't explained to us: when the cheese platter arrived, the owner stopped to give us a very quick explanation of the types of cheeses just because we asked (the question was banal: "What cheeses are they?"). The place was really stuffy, very small, and without even a bit of background music. We spent about €15 per dish. Overall, I wouldn't go back.
