If you're celiac*, you've come to the right place! Every Thursday is Pizza Thursday for me. Since I discovered this pizzeria, I haven't needed to look for others. Their gluten-free pizza is amazing: light and with an incredible dough, the kind that makes you forget it's gluten-free. Estate is my absolute favorite. I've also tried their desserts, and they're truly delicious. A guarantee. Highly recommended.

We celebrated our family birthday peacefully and with delicious dishes. Especially the special selection of food for celiacs like my sister. Excellent pizzas and dishes, especially fish-based ones, were plentiful, original, and carefully served. All the desserts were gluten-free and delicious. 😋😋 The prices were very fair, I'd say.

06/01/23: Tonight I was really craving a good gluten-free mixed fried fish, so I passed on pizza. A tasty and beautifully presented dish. Shrimp, calamari, and fried vegetables, all accompanied by a good white wine. And to finish, dessert was a must: I chose a hazelnut Bavarian cream with a perforated chocolate wafer. Really good! Check out the photos. 11/18/22 Friday evening, with some friends, most of whom are celiac like me, we decided to get together and eat at Barbarossa Bistrot in Alessandria. From the menu, you choose your base (regular, multigrain, or gluten-free) and then select the various ingredients to build your pizza to your liking. The price of each ingredient is listed next to it so you can estimate the final cost of the pizza, to which you must add the price of the chosen base. Alternatively, there are 15 types of pizzas called "le unici," a sort of gourmet pizza, where the ingredients are unchangeable and you can only vary the base. I opted for one of these "unique" pizzas with gluten-free dough: the Picasso. It's a white pizza with lard, caramelized onions, toma cheese, and mozzarella. I find it perfectly balanced in flavors. For dessert, despite promising myself I'd be good, I couldn't resist a creamy gianduia and zabaglione with a chocolate wafer. The service was quick and professional, as always (I've been to this restaurant-pizzeria before), and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The place is also a restaurant, and the food is very good. Almost all the dishes can be made gluten-free upon request, and there are even some vegetarian options. The desserts are all gluten-free. Prices? Leaving the table satisfied, never feeling heavy, knowing I can count on a place that knows how to prepare gluten-free pizzas and dishes that are safe for celiacs is priceless for me. So, the quality-price ratio is fair in my opinion. Notes: The place and services are wheelchair accessible. There are some paid parking spaces nearby, or about 50 meters away is the large Piazza Garibaldi, which has a paid parking lot. I don't remember what time free parking is available, sorry.

Group of 64 people. Pre-arranged menu. Good price, excellent quality, and unbeatable service. I especially appreciated the staff's speed and friendliness. I had the Picasso pizza, and it was delicious. Others in the group ordered the Wall Street pizza, and they enjoyed it too. We were served cold cuts, potato salad, and roast beef as starters. Everything was very good. Highly recommended; great value for money.

I recently discovered I'm celiac, and this was my first AIC-certified restaurant. What can I say? I hope they're all like this... The gluten-free pizza was delicious; I barely noticed the difference compared to traditional pizza. The beer was also a pleasant surprise; I've tried other gluten-free options, and none were as good as this one.

Excellent location, about 800 meters from Piazza Libertà, with convenient parking. A wide selection of gluten-free dishes, including delicious fresh bread and breadsticks. Clean place, fast and attentive staff. The hot octopus with potatoes was excellent: I've never had anything so good! Very good value. Highly recommended.

Best restaurant I've been to in Alessandria, I can't recommend it enough, it's a family run restaurant and you can tell by the environment it's beautiful, the food is good and the portions are generous, most plate are around 10€, but it's worth it, they even have gluten free options for those of you that need them.

A good menu, including gourmet pizzas. The pizzas, of good quality, are available in flatbread or crust versions. There's also a restaurant menu with first and second courses, and a good selection of Piacenza cured meats. Prices are average; the pizzas are perhaps a little more expensive than elsewhere, but the quality justifies this.

I ate the pizza, choosing the ingredients myself. The dough was well-cooked without being burned underneath, and overall it was very good. Unfortunately, as often happens, it made me very thirsty after eating, and I don't like that. I really appreciated the accessibility and the disabled bathroom. The staff were friendly.

Annoyed by the fact that all restaurant's moved to this "double shift" thing, but I liked the pizza and the way they propose the composition while the beer choice is quite poor

We came here to order a pizza at night, we ordered the classic margherita and we enjoyed it pretty much.

I didn't like it; the setting was a bit too basic for my taste. Two pizzas, one Margherita, two desserts, and two beers cost €50. Prices were in the medium-high range. The crème brulee was very hot, too much so; it should usually be fresh and the surface hot and crispy. It's a shame because the flavor was good, but it was ruined by the heat. The service was good, very fast and just the right amount of courteous.

Too many food errors. Octopus and potatoes were poorly cooked, with a burnt crust, pasta was too al dente, and spaghetti was not cooked in foil but was placed in a pan directly in foil and served immediately. Unfortunately, the open kitchen allows you to see these things. The fried calamari was really too greasy. The waiter was friendly, but the constant chewing sensation wasn't the best. The price was a bit high for what was served. Nice atmosphere.

I have been a faithful client for more than 10 years. Unfortunately after the remodeling and menu change the quality of food dropped drastically. Last couple time pizza dough was way too salty, custom ordered ingredients were sparse, the house wine is low quality. It a shame because I like the staff and it’s been one of my favorite places. Unfortunately I was forced to find my new favorite pizza place and it’s not Pirate anymore. I give 3 stars for the sentiment but it probably deserves 2. There are many other options in that will provide better experience.

Secondo me questa pizza è sbagliata. Consiglio: toglietela dal menu. I dolci poi: nessuna personalità.

I went for lunch today, and I actually wanted a first course. I chose spaghetti with creamed pumpkin, guanciale, and pecorino cheese. It was awful; I didn't eat it because it tasted stale and old. I won't be back. I wanted to thank the owner for reading my review. I wanted to point out that I didn't swap sausage for guanciale. I'm sorry you disagree with my review. I hope you understand that my goal wasn't to denigrate your restaurant, but simply to suggest tasting before serving. My husband ordered the same pasta as me and ate it all because he didn't want to have any leftovers, but he agreed with me that it wasn't good.
