Sunday family lunch in Burgos, and we decided to eat at the Picasso restaurant. It was wonderful! A great restaurant with a variety of starters, main courses, and desserts. I had grilled cuttlefish with an unbeatable aioli sauce and chocolate mousse with cream for dessert. The price and quality were perfect. I highly recommend it.
We were on a quick trip to Burgos, and at that time, there weren't many options for food. We stumbled upon the Picasso restaurant by chance, and we were honestly surprised! 😯 The daily menu was reasonably priced, had lots of gluten-free options, and they served us lunch at 4:45 p.m. We ordered pumpkin soup and eggs with ham and potatoes, and for dessert, cheesecake and custard. Everything was delicious.
I don't understand why this place has so many negative reviews. The set menu costs 12.90 euros and has a lot of variety. I ordered pasta salad with pink sauce, grilled pork loin with fries, and goshua for dessert. Everything was very good. My girlfriend loved everything too. I highly recommend it. The waiters were polite, attentive, and quick.
Ok
Great food!
Cool 😀
Today, four of us went for lunch and saw they have a set menu for €18.90. They have a wide variety of starters, main courses, and desserts, and it was practically full. The food wasn't bad, but some simple things could be improved, like using fresh potatoes instead of frozen ones. There's a huge difference in quality, and it doesn't cost more. The service was good, but they were quite overwhelmed, so no complaints there.
A highly recommended place for those looking for a delicious and affordable meal. The service is quite good, and the quality of the food is equally impressive. The menu is very varied, with plenty of starters and main courses on the menu. So you won't have any trouble finding your meal unless you decide on a specific dish. The restaurant is located inside the Camino de la Plata shopping center, providing a spacious space where you can enjoy a meal, whether alone or with others. Looking for a delicious and generous meal at a fair price? Then visit El Picasso.
Very nice food for fair prices and very friendly staff!
It has a wide variety of tapas, both sweet and savory, and the menu is varied. Most of it is delicious, but there are two drawbacks: the "brava" sauce is more of a pepper sauce, which is very tasty but not spicy, and the staff is very limited. They are extremely understaffed, and at peak times there are very few people on hand.
A restaurant with a decent selection of dishes, but nothing extraordinary; you'll just eat something. It doesn't stand out for anything in particular. The prices are average for today's market, and the portions are just right—not too big, not too small. The service was good; the waitress was attentive and quick to serve us and bring our food.
The owner is a real crook. I was completely disappointed with this place, which I've known for years. I went back and all I saw was an owner trying to rip off a pre-arranged set menu by charging à la carte prices (as if the set menu was cheap...). Even then, he didn't honor the agreement, charged without any explanation, and didn't bother to ask why he did it. He just held out his hand to collect the money and get us out of there as quickly as possible. A total shameless crook. And the food... nothing special, pretty average for the price. We won't be back. That's a nasty crook.
This place has gone downhill fast. I've eaten there several times, and the quality just keeps getting worse. Plus, there's a waiter we asked for skimmed milk from for health reasons, and he gave us whole milk. When we told him it didn't look skimmed, he pulled out the carton that clearly said WHOLE milk and still denied it. He said the ingredients were skimmed, even though the carton said whole milk. In short, charging two euros for a coffee and then giving it the wrong coffee and arguing about it isn't polite or honest.
A bar I'll never return to. The waitresses are clueless. Last Friday, a group of friends and I went; one of them paid for the first round and left. The rest of us stayed and ordered another round. When it came time to pay, they tried to charge us for both rounds. We explained which waitress had taken the payment, what bill it was, and how much we'd paid, but they still denied it. In the end, somehow, they admitted that the first round had already been paid for and only charged us for the second. A complete disaster in terms of organization and service.
We went for lunch yesterday, and I admit it was very busy, but it took them over 15 minutes to take our order. After 10 minutes, they told my friend and me that our first course was gone, so we chose another. Five minutes later, with only our drinks still available and no bread or anything else, even though we asked a couple of times, they told me that my first course was also gone and that I should choose another. The same thing happened with the main courses. My two friends were told that their main courses were gone and that they should choose another. When the main courses arrived, they told my friend again that she should choose another main course because they didn't have any of those either. It was awful. My "cachopo" with cured beef and blue cheese was a veal fillet folded with cheese, but it didn't have any cured beef, so I showed it to the waitress. Although she offered to replace it, I was too tired to change it, so I kept it. My friends had been there before and it was fine, but this time was terrible. The price was anything but cheap, and their solution to my first order, after having to change it three times, was to tell me to order Cuban-style rice... The only good thing, and the reason I'm giving it one star, is the dessert, which was delicious.
The worst place to have food in all of Burgos.
