Super cool place! Awesome food, cooked perfectly to order, and very quick, too! Service was spot on, friendly, and quick! Large portions of food for a very reasonable price, not overpriced like many places are around here. Excellent aura, full of culture, and all around a great place to spend an evening with friends and family enjoying excellent food.

The only thing I can complaint about this place is the volume of the music sometimes other than that this is a very solid place. Delicious food! Im a regular here, been coming almost every weekend with my family for 2 years but seriously turn down the volume so I dont have to scream my lungs out.

Rancho Mateo is a lively, wonderful place to gather with friends. I'm not from the area but was taken here as a suggestion while on vacation. The waiter was absolutely amazing, being friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was delicious - we had tried a variety of dishes including the salmon, steak, yellow rice with shrimp, etc. The atmosphere was loud with a live singer so sometimes, it was difficult to hear but we managed. There were TVs around the restaurant so we also enjoyed the program while we ate. Overall, a delicious experience :)

We visited on a weekday evening, and the place had a live entertainer singer who had a very pleasant voice. The atmosphere is unique which makes for a pleasant experience. Our waiting staff allow for us to enjoy our dining experience with the live entertainment. As for the food, my wife's dish seemed to lack favor. My dish did have a nice taste; however, the meat was on the tough side and seemed to a very lean or a select cut.

I visited a Colombian restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food tasted really good and the service was friendly. The place had a nice vibe good music, pleasant atmosphere, and comfortable A/C. Unfortunately, I ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience less enjoyable. It could’ve been an isolated case, but still worth mentioning. Overall, not everything was bad there are definitely good things about the place, but I hope they check their food handling to avoid this in the future.

It was a Saturday afternoon, the server kept forgetting to bring items. They were busy but not packed. There was no wait time for my party of 9. I ordered the Combo Mateo, which was chicken, steak, and shrimp. The steak was ordered "medium" but I received well-done. The food in general was dry and lacked seasoning. The atmosphere was very good. Wonderful decor and seating.

So some friends and I decided to get lunch from this restaurant. When I arrived I found parking not too far away. I walked into a really big, nice restaurant. So Alejandro was our server and he was cool until I realized there was a language barrier. I don't speak Spanish and so he didn't understand anything I really said. My friend does so she was able to translate a bit. I started with the red sangria and it was good. For my meal I got the chicken and shrimp. Here's where the issue lied, the waiter told us we can get two sides but he failed to mention that my meal in particular came with 2 sides already. So I picked sides from the menu and he didn't tell me there was an upcharge. The fact I couldn't communicate with him killed everything! The food was good but it did take forever for my sauce to come out! That extra money that was put on my bill definitely made me mad. I won't be back!

I’ve come here so many times but it seems they have made many changes. We order as we normally do and requested water and server told us they Now only Sell water in plastic bottles. Mind you this isn’t FINE DINNING but you need to pay for water. It still hard to believe we had to pay for water at a family restaurant. Anyway we got our paid waters and our other beverages and then we got our food which was good. I do have to say the server wasn’t very attentive to our table. He barely came to check up on us. At some point my children wanted to order more food and it took about 10 mins for another server to take my order because I couldn’t find our original server. It’s a bit frustrating to keep hungry little children waiting on food specially because server is nowhere to be found. After that everything else was ok until we got our bill. It’s been a while since our last visit but At this moment realized auto gratuity had been added to bill. That’s when I realized why the server was trying so hard to upsell. I understand why auto gratuity is added but is not always the best option because in this case the servers are NOT attentive and provide good service. Im a part time server as well and I always tip well but in this case this expletive was not a pleasant one. Specially when you spend over $200 on a family 3 adults and 3 children. Food is great at this place but receiving good service is just was important as the food. Not a great experience.

I always buy food from here since its delocious -got 2 small picadas for 2 different rooms in a birthday and a side chicken which costed more than $9. The picadas are always overflowing but it seems this time they didn't even bother -the only change i requested was no blood sausage and to replace with maduros instead. This is what I got lol the one star's coz its delicious and also coz the girl at the counter was nice and patient

Stopped for a quick drink and appetizer. First and last time. The appetizers were ok. The problem is the upcharging on the drinks. I ordered a $9 mojito from the menu, I was charged $25 for some other type of mojito the waitress decided she should bring instead without ever saying anything. I was confused because the cup it came in didn’t even look like the one I ordered from the menu. My friend ordered 2 vodkas with sprite $34 each. Last time we will go there. Too sneaky for me.

I never leave a lengthy review but this is the first and LAST time dining here. Walking in the place looked very festive and interesting so wanted to give it a try. The girls at the front were dismissive, not even a smile or greeting just overall lack of hospitality. That was strike one. We get to our table and check out the menu which are all on digital tablets, we see that they have a happy hour for drinks so we go for mango margaritas. The price says its 8.99 from Mon-Fri 12-6pm (we arrived at 4:30pm Fri) and we ordered 2 Bandeja paisas priced at 24.99. I tell the waitress, for the 2 margaritas and 2 bandeja paisas, she didnt ask me anything else, just took the order and left. We receive our food and it tasted good so I had no complaints.. until the check came. What we expected to be about at most 70 bucks ended up being 110.. We didnt get our happy hour price and she charged us the MOST EXPENSIVE bandeja paisa. Her excuse was that I never said I wanted the happy hour drinks when I clearly pointed at it on the menu and she ASSUMED we wanted the most expensive bandeja paisa because "thats what everyone else usually gets". Strike number 2. Then when asking to change the price, she said she'd "cover the difference" because apparently they cant change prices, and when we asked for a manager she tried to avoid it at all costs. Big red flag. Seems like a scam, honestly you're better off going to Brisas next door and its cheaper and better.

I called over the phone to place a pickup order for my wife and myself—just two dishes totaling about $50. The employee told me that because the order was over $40, I had to provide my credit card number over the phone to pay in advanced. I explained that I was literally parked outside and that the order was only two meals. I also told her I was not comfortable giving my credit card information over the phone. Unfortunately, no alternative was offered unless I provided the card number, so I decided to cancel the order. I’ve ordered from places like Noches De Colombia, Brisas, La Fogata, and El Parador Rojo, and none of them have ever required credit card information over the phone for a small order like this—usually only for very large orders or totals over $100. Requiring customers to give credit card numbers over the phone for a $50 pickup order feels unnecessary and uncomfortable. Management may want to reconsider this policy, as it can easily drive customers away. For that reason, I chose to cancel my order. This happened March 8, 2026 at 2:48 PM. I will NOT order from here until they revise this policy. Credit card nu.verd are considered private information and Banks discourage its customers from sharing this information. Review this policy and consider being like the other restaurants around, without desperately not trusting it's customers for a $50 payment!

Terrible service. I went to celebrate my birthday and it was the worst. I left so angry that I didn't even let my family sing to me. The waiter was the worst. He was practically throwing things on the table. I ordered an alcoholic drink and he brought it dripping, and not only that, it didn't have what it supposedly said in the description. When I paid the bill, the drink was one price on the menu and the bill was double. It was disgusting and expensive.

I don't understand why a beautiful place the food don't match with the food I order CAZUELA SE MARISCOS I have 2 mussels 3 clams and frozen mix seafood WHY the place have a lot potential to be a great place but the continue with poor quality of food is gonna be another Colombian restaurant with the same style of food ....chef know what I am taking about I don't think I will come back
