Judy's Cafe #2 Alvarado Reviews
Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy. Not over seasoned and not over fried. I recommend their mashed potatoes and Pinto Beans.
We love down-home cooking, and Judy's was perfect. Great food and plenty of it. Everyone there was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend.
This is exactly what I expected a cafe to be. Great food!!! I almost bit my tongue lol. Service is great and the setting/atmosphere is perfect. Once you come, you will see that there isn’t any other option.
I've eaten here several times over the years and they never disappoint. From the food to the service to the friendly atmosphere. Every time I touch down near DFW this is a must stop for breakfast every morning I'm in the city.
Okay y’all… I had the eggs, grits, pancake, bacon, AND sausage—but the real star? The CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. 🤩 It was EVERYTHING. Crispy, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The food came out fast, tasted amazing, and the servers were super attentive the whole time. Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit. 🙌✨
Some of the best food I've ever had. We came in after the lunch rush, but seems like a quiet cozy place you can just order a cup of coffee and a slice of pie at and hand out for a while.
Tried Judy’s Cafe #2 today and had a Great breakfast and fantastic service. Lee Ann was our server and was right on point with customer service. She was polite and attentive to our requests. We will be back to try lunch next time. Bathrooms were clean also.
I just moved my business to this area and discovered my new favorite lunch restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but what matters to me is the food and service. 30 plus years in business, and I can see why. Waitresses have been working here for 15-plus years. Great service. If you are looking for a quick home cooked meal, I highly recommend it!!
During a recent visit to Dallas, I stopped by a "service station" restaurant in Duncanville, TX. Although the reviews were great, I was a little apprehensive. I spoke to several regular patrons who assured me that the food was good! Let me tell you....they were right!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! Probably the best nachos I've ever had!
Very homie feeling, customer service is wonderful they are very nice. And they are fast your food come out quick. The food was good but my only feed back is the French toast have no flavor other than the powdered sugar maybe add cinnamon in a little bit of vanilla and it would’ve been perfect, but it was made really good and I like the eggs. My son ate his food so fast so he liked it. Definitely I can’t will come back
Relaxed dining experience, friendly service. Meal at home feel. Ham reminds me of thanksgiving ham. Crispy bacon . All was very good. Will return for sure. Needs a little refresher inside. Maybe quick coat of paint to brighten up the place. Or replace ceiling panels. If wasn’t for that I would say 5 stars cause food and coffee was great
Had the fried catfish, Hushpuppies, coleslaw, beans with ham and sweet potato fries. It was fried catfish...nothing more. Beans with ham are lacking alot of flavor. The sweet potato fries are ok but they came out a bit mushy. The coleslaw tasted pre made. The one actual good thing was the hushpuppies. Staff was really nice and attentive besides whoever was in the kitchen complaining.
A quaint spot with a cozy, homey atmosphere and genuinely wonderful service, our waitress was an absolute gem: kind, attentive, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the charm of the staff. Most dishes tasted like prepackaged, reheated meals, bland and lacking that homemade touch we were hoping for. We really wanted to love this place, but the food just didn’t deliver. Even the table next to us mentioned their beef tips were “all gravy, no tip.”
Nice breakfast and brunch place with a traditional diner feel. The food and pricing were all reasonable. I had the mushroom omelette, which went great with some hot sauce. Our server was not great; she was very kind but mixed up orders, left off part of what we asked for, and didn't want to go ask the kitchen whether their gravy was vegetarian. Otherwise, the staff was courteous.
I wanted to love this place. People rave about it. I will start with the good: our server, the gent who didn’t share his name was super attentive, and made suggestions. The downside: the coffee was super weak and there was hair in my omelette. While it was remade, the damage was done.
I was looking for a new breakfast place for me and the kids and after reading the reviews, this one seemed promising. We went on a Saturday morning. It was busy but there wasn't a wait. You seat yourself wherever you'd like. Once seated, our server came promptly to give us menus and take our drink orders. I ordered one of the breakfast platters with eggs, bacon, county potatoes and biscuits w/gravy and my daughter ordered the French toast. My food tasted ok, but my son ordered the pancakes and said they were stiff almost like it was overcooked or something. The service was good and the tables were clean. The atmosphere has a very cozy hometown feel to it. Not sure if we'd go back based on the food.
Tried their food for the first time and decided to order through Grubhub . While eating I found a lash hair in my eggs and immediately lost my appetite. Will never try them again !
Today was my first time in there it will be my last time. The food is horrible When I say no season no season I had to use a lot of salt and pepper. Never again. The customer service was great.
I cannot believe they have a 4.5 rating. It must be for the customer service which was excellent. My food however was the nastiest food I have ever paid for. I got the country fried chicken which was a cheap Tyson’s patty, pancakes which were dry, and eggs. Pictures are attached. I’ll never eat here again
