Really enjoyed this spot! As an Isaan Thai American, I was impressed with the quality of the food. Little Laos has awesome food, I had the green curry and my partner had Gra Pow. Both were sap sap (delicious). The service was super! Incredibly nice and good service. Plenty of parking off street. And it’s on Route 66. Highly recommend this place!

The best Laotian food in Amarillo, Tx! I had delicious lao papaya salad, chicken khaopiek, beef meatballs pho, lao sausage, sticky rice. Everything was comforting, flavorful, yummy. The servers, owner's very inviting~all were sweet! The ambiance felt warm, cozy & clean. I would highly recommend my family & friends to this well established place :)

Well this little gem came as a surprise! I was actually looking for a Filipino restaurant which was a block away but it was non existent so I went back to Little Laos and wow! The food was incredible, the service great and the atmosphere was fantastic. The place was very clean and tastefully decorated. Our waitress was very attentive and they brought our food out really quick. Considering how much food I ordered, the bill was very reasonable. In total, 4 dishes and desert. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in town. Glad we found this place!

It was our 1st time eating there… and now it’s my favorite. I had Bo Special…the steak is perfect!! I also had summer rolls, ordered my son combo fried rice… he’s eating it now and said it’s the best. My son’s nurse had spring rolls and pad ki mao. The place was very clean, our waitress was amazing.. the owner came and spoke with everyone in the dining area… they were all kind. I’m so glad this place is not far from where I live.

Many years have passed since I was last in this building. Back then it was known as Barnaby’s Beanry, a longtime Route 66 staple for travelers and locals alike. I almost did not recognize it under the Little Laos marque, but given the quality of food we enjoyed last night, I dare say I will be coming a lot more familiar with it. Oh, and the remodel is gorgeous. From somewhat dumpy old diner to sleek Asian bistro, it is as delicious as the food. It’s good to have a ringside seat here as the dining options along the Mother Road continue to evolve with the next generation of business owners. In Amarillo alone the number of Asian eateries along 66 is staggering. Little Laos offers a delightful blend of southeast Asian cuisine, primarily Lao and Thai, but some Vietnamese stirred in for good measure. My Oldest Daughter went with the Pho with beef and sausage, while I ordered Green Curry with vegetables. I quaffed a Chang beer from Thailand to further authenticate the experience. Her Pho arrived within 10 minutes in a massive bowl of broth, rice noodles, and meat. I could tell straight off this was far more than she could consume at once, and I was right. She found it to be among the best Pho she has ever had. My Green Curry had just the right amount of heat (temperature as well as spice) for my liking, and in only a few minutes I noticed I was sweating a bit and dabbing my nose. That’s the way it should be. Overall, this is a two-thumbs-up dining option. My only suggestion is to offer tofu for those who get their protein from plant-based sources. Most Asian places already do this, and you might be surprised how many grazers there are out here in cattle country. We’ll be back for sure.

Today I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai (Thai hot/Very spicy) and I am so happy that I have found a restaurant that I consider to be the best in Amarillo. The staff and atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food is prepared in a reasonable time and is wonderful. This place is super clean and well lit. Plenty of parking too for being on 6th street. The food was excellent and portions were big. Service was great as well. Bo knows what he's doing in the kitchen. If it wasn't so far from my house, I'd go twice a day.

We really liked this place. It's very cozy, immaculately clean and the food was wonderful. My wife and I had the Pho with beef. The broth was exquisite, the meat was tender and the vegetables were crisp.

We tried the shrimp rolls to start out and they were a great intro to the meal. We had combination spicy udon noodle and the beef jerky and sticky rice to share as our meals. I can honestly say it was the best udon noodles I’ve ever had and the jerky and rice was up to par. I highly recommend this place if you want a switch up to all the other Asian style places around town.

This is the second time we have eaten at Little Laos in about a week’s time. The food and service here have been excellent both times. I plan on grabbing another lunch here at Little Laos before we leave town. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great Thai food and exceptional service.

This food is absolutely delicious. The menu is filled with options and you can’t make a bad choice. I ate the Kra Pow (chicken) and it’s very authentic. This is a dish I rarely order in the USA because the proper ingredients are hard to access. This place nails it! The atmosphere is casual. It’s very clean and well run. The outside aesthetic gives a great South East Asian vibe. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. I’ll definitely eat here more than once when I next visit.

We’ve been regulars at Little Laos and usually have a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was very disappointing. The meat in the pho had a distinctly bad, almost decayed smell, and I couldn’t eat it. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she said she would notify the owner. The owner then came out of the kitchen with a large, unlabeled zip-lock bag of meat, insisting loudly that it wasn’t bad. His tone was rude and dismissive, and the interaction made us extremely uncomfortable. He came out a second time, raising his voice again, though he did eventually offer to comp the meal. Because of the owner’s behavior during this situation, we won’t be returning.
