The birria tacos were surprisingly good. Meat portion was generous! And the corn was delicious but spicy. I struggled a little but I don't eat a lot of spicy. Overall, great food experience here. Pro tip: order on the app and skip the lines. The only down side is seating. It's pretty packed (it's Disneyland... hello) so you have to be on the lookout for a spot. Would go back!!
BANGIN BIRRIA Great gf option in the quesa birria. Tasty consomme and wonderful taco textures. Mobile ordering is your friend here. Kudos for gluten free options!
Tried out Cocina Cucamonga in California Adventure and I was honestly surprised at how good the quesabirria tacos were. Like really good. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and the beef had such solid flavor. The consume was also fire and definitely needed to bring it all together. I cleared the whole plate in no time and would highly recommend getting them if you are in the park. Now on the other hand, the Tacos Dorados De Papa were not it. They had almost no flavor at all. Yeah they had some crunch, but that was really it. I ended up dipping them in the consume just to give them something. Would not get those again. Same with the corn elote. The flavor was honestly just off. It had some kind of Asian twist with furikake and it just did not make sense to me. Not my thing at all. The highlight outside of the tacos was the strawberry horchata. I was worried it would taste like strawberry milk, but it actually had a really good authentic horchata flavor with just a light strawberry touch. It was refreshing and paired perfectly with the birria tacos. Also cannot complain about being in California Adventure. The views, the energy, the people around you. Everything just hits different when you are eating good food in that kind of setting. Stick with the birria tacos and that horchata and you are set.
Cocina is one of the restaurants in San Fransokyo Square and offers some tasty Mexican-inspired food. The QuesaBirria Tacos are probably the best entrée at Cocina. Flavorful and filling. This is one item I would get again. The menu changes with the seasons, but some items are available all year. The prices aren't too bad and are a pretty good value for what you get. Carne Asada (Steak) and Pollo Asado (Chicken) Tacos were filling but overall, just okay. I found them a bit bland on their own and needed salsa or hot sauce to enjoy. The drinks and desserts are also worth getting. The most recent dessert I tried was the Ube Cake Flan, and that was on point and just the right amount of sweetness. The ube flavor in the cake was good, and the flan was a little dense but still had a creamy texture. I also ordered the Cucumber Lime Fresca--a refreshingly tart and sweet beverage. There are a few plant-based options offered for those that are looking for meatless as well as Allergy-Friendly modifications. There's plenty of shaded seating around the area, with a busy atmosphere and J-pop tunes playing through the air. Magic Key pass holders can use their discounts. Mobile ordering and a stand-by line are available.
Rice isn’t the greatest, the birriatacos are the bomb nightly recommended with the side beads awesome combo, the lemon da is hella sweet and it’s not even real lemons 🍋 it’s artificially flavored. Potatoe hard shell tacos are really delicious as well highly recommend.
We stopped by for a snack before dinner and ended up enjoying some delicious, well-prepared tacos. The service was friendly, and although there was a line, it moved quickly. I also picked up an adorable Baymax souvenir cup. Highly recommend this spot for its tasty food and great atmosphere!
When I mean this is one of the best healthy option good at Disney I mean the food is great. I had the pollo tacos and the peach margarita. They were both so good. And prices were definitely good for both as well. If I ever go back to Disney I’m making sure I get these tacos. They are on par with some taco places.
Got Quesabirria and Horchata with Rum, and they both dominated my taste buds. The meat in the Quesabirria was tender and flavorful, and it came with a cup to dip and get extra flavor for your mouth. The horchata and rum were a little small, but it was very authentic
Food: 5/5 Service and Setting: 3/5 Value: 3/5 After staying over 12 hours in the park with minimal sitting time, the last thing you want to do is eat bad food. I am so glad that I ate at Cucina Cucamonga instead of anywhere else for dinner when visiting the parks. The tables were admittedly slightly dirty and there were too many people, but having some great Mexican food with live music in the distance was a great recharge. If you order at the restaurant, you start at a line and then they will tell you to wait at a window, and will bring out your food. Service was snappy and they were happy to give me some extra onion and cilantro on the side. QuesaBirria: 5/5 This rating may be high because of all the meh food I ate that day, but wow Disney did this dish justice. The cheese was flavorful and perfectly melted while the birria was tender and succulent. While the consommé was not clear, it was packed with flavor and comfortingly warm. This may be the best dish in Disney, so don’t miss out. Like I mentioned earlier, make sure to ask for some extra onions and cilantro to put into your taco and soup. This is a must-get if you are in California Adventure. Horchata Agua Fresca: 5/5 Again, Disney knocks it out of the park. I am so sad that I totally forgot to snap a pic, but you’re not missing out on much visually. Refreshing, rich, and calming are the words I would use to describe this drink. It is smooth while having a slight grittiness from the rice and has a distinct fresh flavor that sets it apart from other horchatas. This too may be one of the best drinks here. Highly recommend.
oh my god… i have a lot to say about this place. in the best way !!! i’m from mexico city myself and as you may know it’s a world capital for over the top food. and never in my existence had i tried some quesabirrias as good as these. nowhere in mexico. in the entire country. these are perfect, they’re crunchy and flavorful. the consomé is exquisite. i usually don’t have consomé in mexico but i’d come back exclusively for this one. man, i don’t know if it’s because it’s disney, but i truly believe these are a must when at disney california. definitely worth the hype!
Probably the best meal we’ve had here. The quesabirria is really good!
ENTIRELY GLUTEN FREE MENU!! I am celiac, and it is often hard to eat out, especially at Disney. Mexican food is often gluten free though as tortillas are often corn based, but it can depend on the place. The quesabarria street tacos (beef and cheese) were so amazing, I ate them before I even tried my peach margarita, which was also delicious. Next time, my husband and I will get three plates of tacos so we can each have more. Highly highly recommend for celiacs or anyone!!
We always have a great experience while visiting DCA! This was a new food experience for us and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and hit the spot on a chilly day. Looking forward to enjoying it again when we come back next month.
I look forward to getting the potato tacos every time I come to Disney. Add a side of rice and elote and you won’t be disappointed. Vegetarian friendly 🌱
One of my favorite places to stop in California adventure for some food. Birria tacos are amazing! Honestly with the consume and green salsa some of my favorite Birria tacos. It comes with 2 which is perfect for me, but I have had the gastric sleeve.
Best place to eat in the parks ! I recommend the corn 🌽
Lots of outdoor seating at this food court. Order on the app or if your time isn't available, stand in line. Yummy tacos!
Been waiting to try the QuesaBirria tacos here for ages. They did not disappoint! The hype was real - Yum! The consomme was rich & full of flavor. The lime rice was a little bland, and I wished it had a stronger line flavor. BUT the line was ridiculously long & after waiting in lines all day it was brutal. We had tried mobile ordering but the wait on there was outrageous too - up to 96 mins!
The barria beef Taco was the best savory dish we had in California Adventure, would definitely have again. Mobile ordering is nice and convenient.
For not eating since lunch, this’ll satisfy your appetite. I got the carne asada tacos with a side of rice. Nice dinner late at night.
Tacos birria are delicious and comes with a small portion of consome(hot soup), they also sell beer at this place. They have great options to choose! Food taste good.
Best place for tacos. I would definitely recommend using mobile order because that saved me so much time. Placed the order while I was waiting in line for a nearby ride and when I got off the ride my food was ready for pick up.
We go to Disneyland every year. This restraunt has fire food! The menu was on point. Great customer service 👍. We get the birria tacos! They get better every year. We have 6 kids. They choose the tacos over anything else in the park. Definitely need to check this place out.
Quesa Birria is really good. The line moves pretty fast, too.
Favorite meal in Disneyland. The corn is can’t miss - a delicious Japanese spin on Elote. Potato tacos and Quesabirria are amazing. Chicken tacos really good but not as good as others. Horchata is best I’ve had in a long time.
I had the quesabirria tacos and they were good! The meat wasn’t fatty. They didn’t skimp on filling them. The consommé was good. The horchata was good, not just powder mix. The ube flan cake was good too if you like flan/custard.
The food is good but no way is it worth the price you pay.
My friend ordered via the app and it was a MAGICAL ride to zip past the people waiting in line to pick up the food. Food: birria tacos. These birrias were really good, they were drenched in oil, so if u r hoping it's healthy.... Try another item, cuz this was unhealthily delicious! Nommomnom Seating: it's Disneyland, hard to find seats, so we ate at a table near the line. One fella asked what we were eating, and I replied "magic" cuz it was really good.
We stopped by just to grab an horchata and it sure was a delicious drink! I always love being in the San Fransokyo area, great sights and sounds anywhere you turn around. Service was quick, super busy but definitely organized. I love seeing the nearby Big Hero 6 characters too, makes for great environment.
I can’t even begin to describe how much a fresh meal was needed when we happened to stumble into this restaurant. We got the QuesaBirria, Tacos Dorados de Papa, and the street corn. Definitely worth the price as the quality was great and it tasted amazing. The QuesaBirria would be great for any picky eater and the vegetarian option was delicious. Don’t miss out on the street corn!
We think the QuesaBirria is probably one of the best fast food items you can get at Disney California Adventure. You get two tacos that are generously filled with braised beef and cheese plus you get a cup of consomme to dip your tacos in. Plus a good side to go with your tacos is the Frijoles Charros. There's always a long line for this place so it's best to mobile order your food - and you can place a mobile order early in the day so you can be sure to select the time you'd like to eat. Sometimes time slots fill up and then you have to take whatever is available - and you might have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for your food. There's a lot of seating, but you still might find yourself hovering over a family that looks like they are just about finished so that you can grab their table. Be sure to have some Wet Wipes in your bag since you might need to wipe down your table. Bussers are hard to find, so it's just easiest to be prepared to clean your own table.
Used mobile order to skip the line and received our food in minutes if not seconds of informing we had arrived. The tacos were great, I likely could have had the maximum allowed to mobile order- two orders, but one worked, leaving room for churros. CMs were kind and efficient even as the lunch rush was beginning. Plenty of seating as many guests were taking part in Lunar New Year eats elsewhere. Would recommend and return.
Oooh what yummy food they had at Covina Cucamonga! Definitely my favorite Mexican food in both of the parks! I got the vegan Tacos Dorados de Papa which comes with crispy potatoes and super yummy cabbage slaw! My partner got no vegan tacos and a margarita and loved them! There was also tons of outdoor space to eat at, I highly recommend!
Birria tacos were really good. The serving size is adequate for the price point. Service was slow, this is a popular outpost for lunch.
muy recomendables los tacos de birria y la horchata , deli
Food was good. Tacos were regular size, tortilla had that lemon after taste. Quesabirrias were delicious, and they came with the consome. The strawberry horchata had too much strawberry syrup for my liking, next time I would just get traditional horchata. Tips: Order using the app. Make sure to ask for salsas, the red one is fire 🔥
Horchata is good, but a bit too sweet. The topping on the vegetarian tacos had great flavor and texture, but the tacos were cold and not very fresh. I think it would have been better if it were super fresh and hot
I ordered the Quesabirrias and the Elote. Both were good, the birria was tasty and the Elote was a bit too much. It was nice and I order from the app. It’s a bit hard to find a place to sit.
Food is very good. You can get Margaritas here, also. But the best thing is the mobile app. You can order the food, and the the app will give you a confirmation and let you know when the food is ready. But wait till the app says your order is ready before you get in line, other wise you are just wasting time. Great spot, good food, good drinks. Lots of fun.
Very delicious fresh tasting food, guacamole tasted amazing!! Also ordered the fish tacos, while the rice and beans seemed like a small portion once you eat everything on your plate it's all very filling. Was nice to sit outdoors and listen to the live band playing too.
We ate here when we went to California Adventure’s San Fransokyo area and it was pretty good! Quick service and good food. Cast attitudes were kinda blah and subpar but that is entertaining in its own way, too. We ate our food before I could take pictures, but the Birria Tacos are really delicious!
Overall, the tacos were above average. We ordered the carne asada, chicken, and potato tacos. You get 2 tacos per plate ($11.99), but we're stuffed and had double tortilla. The potato tacos were fried with some tasty slaw on top. The lines were slow and the order ahead feature was also over an hour wait. Overall, not as expensive as Disneyland and quality of the food was good. The quesobirria tacos, personally, did not look good, but I heard they were "ok."
elote was incredibly seasoned and well tasty, and the biria was not the best I've ever had but was very meaty and doable
The food was pretty good and we've eaten here many many times. I had al pastor tacos, living in San Diego and just Southern California in general; I've had much better al pastor tacos. The birria tacos were pretty good as well. My wife liked them more than I did but I will say they are probably the best thing on the menu. But with that being said, everything is way overpriced because it is Disneyland. We were there just yesterday April 19th and currently they're doing the food and wine days. I really do enjoy the food and wine thing and tasting all the different foods around the park from their food trucks. They have a big variety of beers too during the food and wine days. It's also a good place for a siesta after filling your belly. 😴
The line up was not bad and it all depends on your lunch/dinner time. The tacos were good and price was reasonable compared to other places.
Tried the Al Pastor tacos and Frijoles Charros. The frijoles Charros were cold and didn't look like the photo, because it's only half full and the photo it's full. The tacos were also cold so I took them back to get fresh hot ones. They were really good and would recommend. They have a spicy but sweet kick to them with the pineapple and salsa. They also give you a good amount of avocado.
really long line, but we did get there during dinner rush. salsa verde is pretty bland, not spicy at all. i can tell they are catering to people who do not like spicy food… anyways i think they should add onion and cilantro inside the taco and some more in the consommé. birria is pretty good, but not the best. my family is from jalisco (birthplace of birria), so i know what a good one is. i would give this one like 8/10. pretty filling meal. everything came out hot and fresh.
We had a chance to try Cocina Cucamonga at Disneyland for dinner. The restaurant locates in the food court area with many other restaurants. There is a huge sitting area in the middle and even though it’s Disneyland, you can almost always find a spot to have your meal so keep looking around. We ordered the QuesaBirria and Carne Asada tacos online for pick up as usual to skip the line. Each order came with two tacos which is a bit overpriced compared to many taco places just outside of Disneyland. We really had high expectation after trying the tacos outside, but the tacos here left us with no impression on the flavor. The only thing that stood out was the crispy shell from the QuesaBirria. The portion was really small that it could have been considered a light snack instead of a full meal. In overall, this restaurant is still a decent place to have Mexican food in Disneyland if you are in the mood for it. However, if you are hungry after all the rides, you may want to order a bit more or try some other restaurants in the same food court.
Good food that is reasonably priced. I pre-ordered the food on the Disney app and when my time window opened/I activated the order to be made, the food was ready in 3 minutes (granted it was only two plates). Overall the tacos were good, but if you are sensitive to spice you may find the salsa spicy (I did). I would eat here again!
This place had decent food. Service was good. The part that didn't work for us was the birds above the tables. They are able to change out on the wooden partial coverings and pooped right on our table and shirt. It was so close to our food that we almost had ruined meals. I hope they see this review and can find a way to keep the birds off.
Stopped by to try the Strawberry Horchata specials for California Adventure food events. It’s tasty and worth trying. The guys at register weren’t friendly at all, definitely not Disney standards. Had 4 windows open on Saturday night, only 2 were actually serving the long queue. It was super slow and bothering. Especially they have about 10-15 staff behind counter. The mobile order which has literally no guest waiting, staff was hanging around chatting. Not until after 15mins they decided to take care of a few customers in the queue. I’d say this place has not a good system and it needs improvement both in service and speed.
The Quesa Birria Tacos were at the top of our must try list having read rave reviews! Unfortunately for me, I felt motion sick after some rides, so I only had a small bite to try. Call me crazy, these don’t live up to the hype. I’d give them 2.5/5. Leaving a majority for my friend to indulge, they rated them 3/5 and agree they’re overhyped. The meat was flavorful, they were warm and fresh, the consommé was a perfect accompaniment, but they didn't compare to Tortilla Jo’s. My friend also ordered Frijoles Charros, which they gave 3/5. We placed a Mobile Order, knowing these were hot tickets items and might sell out. We got our order without issue, Cast Members were friendly and efficient, then we enjoyed the views of the newly built Sanfransokyo!
Pues la comida de Los parques de atracciones no es reconocida por su gran savor o calidad🤐😅 pero si estas en Disney California Adventure certainly del Incredible Coster.... y con hambre, pues Como que no estan tan malos!🤣🤣
Honestly don't recommend it, the food was cold. The food overall would've tasted better if it were warmer. The food was ready on time. When I went to pick up my order it was already cold even though I got it on time.
I ordered "Citrus-marinated grilled steak tacos with crushed avocados and Fuego salsa" and I am giving this two stars because I got two cold corn tortillas, lukewarm meat, onions, and watery green guacamole with no resemblance to real avocados.I was expecting "crushed" avocados, not pureed, green slurry. I would have not ordered if I saw a real picture of this beforehand. Also, "citrus marinated" just means they threw three lime quarters on top of the dry meat when they served it.
As a Mexican American girl, I really didn't expect much from this location. The food came out and I was right. The rice was bland. The tacos I ordered had more onion than meat. We ordered 5 plates and each one had so much more onion than meat. The beans were okay. Overall, don't expect that much.
So inefficient. The mobile order line of people with “ready” orders was 25 people deep and I stood in it for 15 mins. Why even mobile order?
The food here was nothing to write home about. I was disappointed to find out that their smothered carne asada burrito was in fact vegan and made from soy. This is something that was not actually advertised on the menu. I over heard a cashier telling another guest, so I confirmed when it was my turn to order. There os not much selecting, so my daughter and I ended up with Quesadillas. We ate them but I wouldn't say either of us enjoyed them. The staff was friendly and service was quick. There was lots of available seating, which was nice. We didn't have to search everywhere for a table to seat 6.
Pues combine, no espectacular, el cambiazo un fraude somo hasta lechuga y 4 cachitos de carne al pastor, el arroz no el sabor mexicano pero se tolera
This place use to be really good but they change the menu. Its not refried beans its black beans. Its not Mexican rice its.... Whatever it is now. With the new street tacos they can't even cook the tortilla, it seemed like they just pulled it out of the package and plopped it on the plate. This place use to be awesome, but this time the only reason I finished it was because it cost 10 bucks... If it was the same cost of a taco truck I would have just chucked it out.
Mobile ordering is definitely the way to go. The food was flavorless and too expensive for the quality and taste. Our family wishes we would have ordered from a different location. Tacos had very little meat and overwhelmed with sauces to disguise that fact.
Food was decent. Experience was horrible, and definitely ruined the overall disneyland experience. I came back from a deployment and me and my wife planned to take our kids and my mother to Disneyland. Me and my oldest share a Birthday one day apart and this was a special trip. We use our Disney credit to order food from this place and it looked great. I go to pickup up the first two trays and was told I could come back for the rest. Instead I wait behind others waiting to pickup their order. They avoided eye contact with me and I decided to just wait my turn. I take the third tray back to my little ones so they had drinks with their kids meals. They began to eat so we can catch the firework show on our last day. My wife says we are short a adult beverage. I return and have to wait in line to request our missing order. I wait another ten minutes, by now over 30 minutes has elapsed. They stall and eventually call "Joohong" the manager over. His explanation is that I waited over 30 minutes and they have to handle our orders with alcohol differently. He said I could take it up with their customer department or wait for a refund in which I would have to wait for. My kids are now 5 minutes away from missing a once in a lifetime type show, instead I just let it go. Not a huge deal, but I paid 16 dollars for a drink and got made to look stupid in front of everyone. I was respectful throughout the engagement. I just asked I was being irrational to request something I paid for and waited for. Before that moment, I had not had a sip of alcohol in months, just wanted to enjoy one drink with my wife on my birthday before we took our kids to see a light show. I paid over 160 dollars for food, luckily my kids were able to eat. I took a few bites and tossed my order. In the end, I didn't want to hurt my kids experience and I just let it go. I lost any respect for that establishment or Disneyland. His lead gave me the managers name, after initially saying they dont give out that info. Throughout the whole experience they were dismissive. I come back to ask for straws for my kids drinks, and they tell me to walk to the Cafe where they have straws for us. Pay thousands of dollars to leave that place on a bad note. Very memorable experience, as in negative. I'll never forget it and make sure to tell others. I waited for 10 minutes behind the glass as the crew talked about me and looked at me like I was crazy for requesting the order. She asked me for my receipt for my mobile order. I used the mobile app and she acted like it was my fault. He was able to look the hero in front of his crew by dismissing a customer who paid sixteen dollars for a beer with a salted rim.
The service is terrible. Order food at 3 pm. The app accepted orders for now. It is 3:45 and the food is not ready yet. They told me I had to wait 20 minutes more. If you can't fulfill the order on time, just stop accepting new orders like other restaurants do. I guess people are too greedy
Went here late at night towards the park’s closing and that was the biggest mistake ever. Food was lukewarm, birria taco was dried and lacking flavor, and you just knew that it wasn’t fresh. Very disappointing experience.
If this is what foreigners consider Mexican food, then I'm sorry for them. Frijoles charros sounded great but the lack of spices and fat that should accompany these made them bland. The rice was disappointing as well. The corn was eh, had a nice sauce and cheese on it. The quesabirria I will give a pass, but we can't call that liquid in the cup consume. The menu is overpriced of course, nothing on here was worth the calories or money beside the birria taco.
Terrible wait times. The wait line actually seems designed to slow down the lines. Waited in line for roughly 30 minutes to just be told they were sold out of what we were in line for. They don’t edit the signs or put any notices out so it is a gamble on if you will be eating or wasting a half-hour or even a full hour in line for nothing. Waste of our time and we will not visit this restaurant in any future visit the to park. You’re better off just getting a hot dog from a stand than wasting your time here.
