Slow service to start but once they find you, the wait staff are pretty attentive. The food is absolutely amazing and delicious. I ordered the crab cakes. I shared the Bananas Foster with my cousin for dessert. I like how they change up their Old Fashioned drinks for the season. Mine had a hint of gingerbread. I would highly recommend if you like a touch of Creole while visiting Disney.

This was a great restaurant. Prices were a bit much but it’s Disney want are you gonna do🤷🏼‍♂️. I just got the burger and it was great. Nothing too special honestly and the fries and just average fries but still tastes great. My wife got the smoked chicken Mac and cheese stuff and she loved it. Would probably come back just a bit expensive

I had a great night at Jazz Kitchen. I started with the crab beignets (5/5 a must try!) and my entree was the NOLA BBQ shrimp n grits (4/5). My server was kind enough to let me have a beignet to finish my meal. I’d be remiss if I also didn’t mention the Hurricane cocktails (5/5) was TOO GOOD yum! Thank you to my amazing server who literally was attentive but didn’t hover. He was perfect and so thoughtful. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely ambiance with DELICIOUS food! A place my table agreed was nice enough for a special occasion considering how incredible our dishes were. It's casual but so nice with the interior and ambiance, music. I brought my parents for a late lunch on a weekday and it was calm and relaxing. The blackened salmon was incredible! So savory and just the right amount. Perfectly cooked. The kind of dish that makes you want to take cooking at home up a couple of notches. My mom loved the crab cakes, and my dad liked the coconut shrimp. Altogether an excellent Downtown Disney stop.

Lively atmosphere, flavorful food, and live jazz vibes! We had a great time at Jazz Kitchen! The ambiance brings a fun New Orleans style vibe with colorful decor and occasional live music that makes the whole dining experience feel festive. The gumbo and jambalaya were both packed with flavor, and the beignets are a must try, fluffy, warm, and perfectly sweet. Service was friendly but a bit slow during the dinner rush, so I’d recommend going a little earlier if you want a more relaxed pace. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you’re paying for the experience as well as the food. Overall, a great place to enjoy classic Southern cuisine right in the heart of Disney.

We had such a great first experience at Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio! The atmosphere in the courtyard was perfect — beautiful weather, great vibes, and a relaxing setting. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The food was absolutely delicious. Since it was our first time, our waitress recommended the Crab Beignets, and we’re so glad she did — they were packed with flavor without being overpowering. Everything we tried was cooked perfectly and full of fresh, balanced flavors. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend checking this spot out at least once — it’s a gem.

Loved the food, atmosphere, and friendly service. If you got a hankering for some Cajon cuisine, and you want a friendly service bringing it to you, this is the place. Thank you Jazz Kitchen for the wonderful time.

Great place to dine in downtown Disney! They have a fantastic happy hour. Don’t forget to order some classic beignets to take home with you!! sit by the piano near the bar for some fantastic life jazz music

They are famous for their beignet but do yourself a favor and get the double chocolate bread pudding instead. It was amazing! I got the Mac and cheese but liked the Gumbo Ya-Ya more. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Our sever was great. I’ll definitely come back.

Staff made it a pleasant experience, food was also really delicious and made fresh to order. My server went out of the way to give us a happy birthday beniet for free which we really appreciated. Shrimp and Grits were the standout here and would highly recommend. Poutine Fries were also crispy but had the same delicious jambalaya doused on top. Overall great experience, once again, the staff is the part that really stood out to me. They were super professional and made sure everything was right!

I had a wonderful experience at Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio in the Downtown Disney District. From the moment I arrived, I could feel a great energy in the air. The place has a fun and relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Whether you sit inside or outside, the space feels bright, clean, and comfortable. The music in the background adds a nice touch and gives the place a lively vibe without being too loud. One of the best things about this restaurant is the variety of food. There’s something for everyone—whether you like something light, hearty, spicy, or sweet, you’ll find it here. The menu is full of creative dishes, and everything feels fresh and made with care. It’s also a great place for groups because of all the choices. Whether you’re with friends, family, or on a date, there’s something to enjoy. The service was also excellent. Our server was kind, helpful, and always checked in to make sure we had what we needed. The food came out in good time, and everything was nicely presented. You can really tell that the staff cares about giving guests a great experience. I also loved the overall setting. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the outdoor patio is a great spot to relax and enjoy the Disney atmosphere. You can people-watch, enjoy the breeze, and just take in the happy vibes of the area. Even though it’s in a busy part of Downtown Disney, it still feels peaceful and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio if you’re looking for a great place to eat with a fun, relaxing atmosphere and a wide variety of food. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again!

It is one of the better restaurants in Downtown Disney. I was hesitant at first since I enjoyed the original rendition, but I enjoyed my meal on this visit. The crab cakes were great!

An excellent kick off to our Disneyland adventure at the Jazz Kitchen in downtown Disney. Quickly seated and met with our fantastic server. Drinks came to the table fast and we're well prepared. The food was also just a quick to the table. Well prepared and seasoned to perfection. They also had a full gluten free menu with great options. Tied off the meal with the cannot miss beignets. I am partial to the powdered ones but they were all tasty. Don't miss out on your next meal opportunity here at the Jazz Kitchen!

J

Shrimp and grits very good! I’ve gone to this restaurant for years now and I love it each time. Sometimes I just come for the beignets, which are covered in powdered sugar and taste as good as the ones in New Orleans.

I’ve been to this place over the years, but this was my first time back since the remodel. The updated interior feels more upscale, yet it still maintains a welcoming vibe that’s great for families with kids. The outdoor seating is a perfect option for warm summer nights. The food was delicious. I had a burger, my husband ordered the gumbo, and we shared the crab beignets, which were absolutely phenomenal! Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Having several recommendations to go to Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for my 21st birthday vacation with my family, we just had to try our luck with a reservation. They have sadly been booked until October but a kind hostess told my family and I the day prior to come early around 2-4pm to where they could try to accomodate us. My family and I left Disneyland and thankfully, we were welcomed in surrounded by kind workers who were determined to make my family and I feel at home. I, so badly, had wanted to have a great meal for my birthday and Pamela and the two gentleman who attended my family made it happen. Not only were the meals delicious that we ordered, but I was living my Princess and the Frog fantasy surrounded by great food and laughter. I decided to write this review to thank the staff, especially Pamela, who made my family laugh and my nephews smile. The food was superb and the alcoholic drinks were great! I told her how I am a light drinker and she recommended me her personal favorite which ended up being delicious! If I am not mistaken, it was the Southern Peach Sweet Tea. My cousin also loved his beer and my mother along with other cousin adored their Pineapple Milk. All and all, it was a great day. I was even surprised when my nephew who doesn't like sugar enjoyed my birthday beignets with me! That is how you know they are the best❤. As written on my receipt, thank you for the memories! ~ From Waitress Pamela's favorite table 374 on August 21

This is hands down the best restaurant and all of Downtown Disney and maybe even disneyland. Save your appetite and head down to order the gumbo. They have two kinds I recommend trying both, my personal favorite is the one with the dark rue. They also have a really good lobster roll and refreshing drinks

Great place for a bite if you're looking for southern inspired dishes. Definitely looks different than the last time we were here but the food is just as good! We got a cheeseburger for the little one, some gumbo, shrimp and grits, and another shrimp dish. Service was great and will definitely come back

We love Cajun food and never miss an opportunity to try something new. The food was delicious. The Poutine was so good I almost forgot to get a picture. The shrimp and grits were creamy and nicely spiced. The braised beef was so tender and paired so well with the Chow-chow and grits. We will definitely be back next time we are in Downtown Disney. Our server Danielle was very personable and had great recommendations. She definitely made the visit extra special.

My friend and I absolutely loved it here!!! Okay forst the scenery is so cute and you really feel like you are in New Orleans! There is a fountain when you first walk in and if you look closely you can see instruments! Then walk into the other room with the bar and there is a bedazzled piano! The piano player was amazing too and had a great New Orleans style voice! Customer Service was top notch as we didn’t have a reservation but we could sit at the bar. Michelle and Sean waited on us and they were superb! Really great! Very Disney-like which is a big compliment! Drinks were amazing! (You only need one if you know what I mean!) I had the Cat-5 Hurricane and my friend had the Mint Julep. For food we split the French bread which was typical French Bread and the Pasta Jambalaya which was AMAZING! I’m craving it again right now! Overall, great place to dine, so glad we went, and can’t wait to go back when we are in the area again!

Great food and plenty of seating even during their renovations. We did eat here via a reservation on Valentines Day. The main floor closed off, but they have plenty of seating in the upper levels. Inddor and outdoor. They have a shortened paper menu, but still plenty of delicacies and variety to choose from. Highly recommend the Chicken Baked Mac n Cheese! It was so so good. And ask for bread and butter, you'll thank me later. The Jambalaya was good, but a bit spicy, couldn't finish it. If you parked in Downtown Disney, the parking is validated.

P

The food, the service, the portions? All 5/5. Excellent. However the only downside is the remodel from the original Jazz Kitchen design to this... strip mall style? The charm is gone. Only reason I gave it a 3/5 is because thankfully there's still live music happening. It's definitely an amazing atmosphere still, but you don't feel like you're in a creole spot.

Best place we ate whilst in California. We are from Australia, so we don't get this type of food at home, but we enjoyed every single dish. We ordered the Grilled Open-Faced Lobster BLT Po-Boy and Fried Crawfish Lettuce Wraps to start which were so fresh and flavours to die for. Mains were Spicy Grilled Chicken “Macaroni & Cheese” Bowl, Coastal Jambalaya and NOLA BBQ Gulf Shrimp & Grits, which we could not get enough of, each being absolutely unbelievable in taste and freshness. Our server had an unbelievable passion for food and for his job which made our already fantastic experience even better. Do yourself a favour and eat here! And don't forget the beignets! This place has made New Orleans reach the top of my bucket list, thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

If I could rate higher, I would. The food was off the hook, our waitress, what can I say, our entire table adored her (Ashley). My filet was done perfectly, my husband loved his jambalaya, and one of our party had her plate done completely custom. The blueberry dessert, OMG!!! The bread pudding, OMG!! YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG HERE! Enjoy!

S

This is my first time here! Let me tell you, the food was fantastic! The calamari was perfectly cooked, not rubbery! The crayfish spring rolls had so much flavor (I don't usually like crawfish). The beignets were so crispy on outside and fluffy on the inside! Amber our server was attentive, polite, and there to make sure we had everything we needed! Don't be a fool in front of your friends!!! Take them here, you won't be disappointed!

We found this place by accident, just cruising by and decided to stop in, back in the day when it was called Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. ATMOSPHERE: Touristy, noisy & busy. You're in Disneyland! The two level restaurant is jam packed. Its decorated in a New Orleans vibe, with courtyards and wrought iron decor. There's a two-level open-air lanai at the front that has great people-watching views. FOOD: Gumbo Yaya TO DIE FOR! This is their version of gumbo and jambalaya mixed together. It's more of a soup so the portion size isn't that big. But the flavor is amazing. Savory, creamy goodness. Highly recommended. SERVICE: Our male server was friendly and professional. OVERALL: Great food and fun atmosphere.

E

Despite being in Downtown Disney, once you step inside the restaurant it just feels like New Orleans. The live music, decor, furnishings all complement each other. The food was delicious and the service was great.

I lost my backpack in the area and it had a tile tracker on it that was pinging by the restaurant. I was at this restaurant the next morning to try to find it. The manager was so kind and took me everywhere through the restaurant to help me try and find it. We spent 20 minutes. At the end we didn't but I was very at ease that I didn't leave it there. I will always be loyal to this place for showing me that kindness. Later on, I was able to recover it from Disneyland lost and found. Took a few weeks to show up.

During our stay in Anaheim, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining twice at The Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. This restaurant truly stands out with its authentic Creole cuisine. The jambalaya, savored during our dinner visit, was a flavorful journey to the heart of New Orleans. For lunch, the gumbo was equally impressive, offering a perfect blend of spices and comfort.A highlight of our visits was the service we received from Ben S. His attentive and personable style added a special touch to our dining experience, making us feel genuinely cared for. Ben's knowledge of the menu and his recommendations were spot on, enhancing our meals significantly. The newly renovated space of The Jazz Kitchen deserves a mention too. The updated decor beautifully complements the vibrant atmosphere, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This renovation has added a fresh, modern twist while preserving the soulful essence of the restaurant.Overall, our experiences at The Jazz Kitchen were delightful. The combination of delicious Creole cuisine, impeccable service, and the inviting ambiance of the renovated restaurant makes it a must-visit for anyone in Downtown Disney. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning on our next visit to Anaheim.

Food was perfect. Salmon was firm and flaky blackened of course. Best flavor the kiddos portions were perfect fries crispy outside soft inside. My husband and I tried this place for the first time and it was a wonderful experience! Idk what took us so long to eat here because we have been annual passholders (magic key holders) for well over a decade. The general manager, Chris Szechenyi, is ah-mazing, humble, and great at what he does. He provided outstanding customer service and was very accommodating to my vegetarian husband since there isn't very many options other than their salads and a couple of appetizers/sides. I tried their crab beignets and they were delicious and unique. Yum! Not once did we have to ask for our beverages to be refilled. Looking back at old photos of the restaurant, the modernization was well-executed. I highly recommend this place. I plan on coming back here especially because of the exceptional service by Chris and the rest of the staff. Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 10/5

The shrimp and grits were delicious, and the small, two-person band played great music. If you come here, ask for Alex, he's an excellent host, super accommodating, and a great sense of humor. Will be returning here next year when we make our next trip to Disneyland. Thanks Alex!

Live jazz that takes requests! Wow! The duo is outstanding and they move from restaurant dining room location-to-location so you are assured to enjoy the jazz. I had the shrimp and grits and it was amazing... Worth every cent and just as authentic as you would get in the southern states. Make a reservation so you're not disappointed and have fun!

Incredible food, we started with the crab beignets, entrées were jambalaya and the coconut shrimp, could not be more impressed with both the food, the ambience and our server john was incredible, very professional friendly and very funny. We will be back for such amazing service and food.

Always a pleasure eating dinner here. I heard they had the best shrimp and grits from my niece that went a week earlier than I did on this particular visit to Disneyland. But I always get the blackened salmon, and always a hit! If you know, you know!!!! The crispy parmesan grit cake is to die for and I always ask for extra pompano chili cream sauce because that sauce is the bomb diggity. My husband always gets the Grilled New York Steak chimichurri and it's always spot on. We got some sparkling water and typically we get the beignets but this time we got the double chocolate bread pudding, he wanted to change it up and I was totally against it and I have to say, we should have stayed with the best beignets around because the bread pudding should never be messed with and double chocolate bread pudding just isn't hitting the mark, not good. But I will say for anyone that wants great beignets, get them at Downtown Disney at Jazz Kitchen or beignets expressed, better than anything you could ever get inside the parks. I was so full from my dinner, I literally was about to burst. Great place. Staff is ok, we never get an overly friendly waiter or waitress, EVER! ha

We had the pleasure of having Madi as our server. The food was fantastic as you would expect from a Brennan Restaurant featuring the very best of Southern Coast food. But what made our visit even better was Madi’s great suggestions and personal service. She made us fell right at “home” in Downtown Disneyland. Ralph Brennan knows how to choose great staff and serve amazing food. Thanks! Ted E.

This was our first time back since it was closed and rethemed with the update to Downtown Disney. We sat downstairs where the fountain used to be it was ok I'd be interested to sit outside on the balcony outside upstairs,. First off our server was amazing. She was very attentive and fun to chat with about the menu and stuff. Food was very good but the menu is smaller than it used to be and of course the beignets were amazing. I would definitely recommend it especially for a date night.

Always wanted to try this when at Disneyland and decided last night would be the night! The wait wasn't too bad for a Friday night (30 mins). Their drink selection is solid and the waiters were super helpful and attentive. For food we ordered the Gumbo and shrimp spring rolls. Super good although the gumbo could have used something else to give it depth. Still great though. The shrimp spring rolls were amazing. We also ordered the jambalaya pasta which was good. Probably will try something different next time but I'd get it if you haven't tried it before. Overall great spot and left us satisfied.

The food is wonderful! We sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful. Our server Nick was great! As soon as I found out this restaurant is owned by a Brennan from New Orleans I knew it would be fantastic! It truly did not disappoint and I’m so happy we wandered in. This is a must eat place if you are ever shopping in downtown Disney. I had the lobster roll and fries and we ate beignet's! The only thing they needed to have was sweet tea. Thanks for a great lunch Jazz Kitchen! My family will be back.

Service: We had a reservation, so it was nice not to wait at all and be seated right away! Alex was our waiter and he was great! Not only was he patient, he was knowledgeable with his food recommendations. It was our first time and he took his time to answer our questions and gave suggestions. He was kind and had a great attitude. Food: We started with the crab beignets, They were okay, not great, but decent. Shrimp and grits were good! (Hubby’s dish) The Jambalaya was ok. (My dish) Nothing great, just ok. I’m surprised it’s their top menu choice! Definitely was not mine. Ambiance: We sat outside on their level 2 patio seating. it was pretty cold, but they were able to turn the outside heaters on and near us. It was a nice view overlooking downtown Disney. Restaurant was very packed, but it was a Saturday and dinner time. Next time: I think I would give it another chance, because Alex was great and there were other food options I was leaning towards. I’ll try them for next time .

✨Favorite Restaurant in Downtown Disney✨ What’s better than gumbo and live jazz music?? This place was recommended to us by our Disney planner and it ended up being our favorite meal of our entire trip! 🥘Our food was so flavorful and had good portions (we ended up with 2 to-go boxes!) I’d highly recommend the Gumbo! The Lobster roll was good but I wished there was more lobster filling in the roll.🦞 🎷 We sat inside next to the stage and about half way through our meal two guys started playing jazz renditions of Disney songs. It was very loud and we couldn’t hear each other talk, but we really enjoyed the music!! It didn’t last longer than 20mi and then they took a break. 💵I felt like the cost was reasonable for the flavors and portion sizes. Our service was also very attentive and helpful since it was our first time at this restaurant. 🪑 There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and the host asked us what we preferred - and we chose to sit inside because it was pretty hot. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! It’s kid friendly, they can accommodate large parties, and the food was amazing! 🤩

Jazz Kitchen is the best restaurant Downtown Disney. The selection, execution, and service are fabulous. Everything on the menu is fabulous but my heart belongs to the Blue Crab Caprese with a French Baguette. Shout out to my server Mario last November 3rd!!!

I've dined here several times over the years, most recently after the new and refreshed Jazz Kitchen with brighter and modern decor and new furniture. The menu features many familiar Creole classics and some new dishes to try. We dined here for dinner recently, and it was fairly busy. We were able to get a table without too much waiting. Most of the food we ordered was delicious, and everyone at our party enjoyed what they got. I got the Crab & Shrimp Remoulade Roll, and it was delicious. It was a bit bread-heavy, but a decent amount of lump crab and shrimp piled on top. I do miss the Lobster roll, though. The Gumbo Ya-Ya was flavorful with a little spicy kick. The NOLA BBQ Gulf Shrimp & Grits was a favorite on previous visits and was still enjoyable. Plenty of shrimp on top of well-made grits. The Cajun Skillet Cornbread is also a tasty shareable. We shared the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding with ice cream on the side. You can also request that the ice cream be placed on top. It's a delightful, meal-ending treat. You can't go wrong with any of the Beignet desserts. The drink menu offers house cocktails, local and craft beers, wine, and more. I opted for a bottled Abita root beer, which didn't disappoint. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the food and vibes, and our server was kind and attentive. However, he forgot a cocktail we ordered, which wasn't on the bill at the end. Prices have also increased over the years, but then again, it's higher everywhere. I recommend trying this spot if you love Creole cuisine and relaxed vibes. There's also live music on the first floor, where the bar and stage are and usually in the evenings.

Had a great experience here! Not just once, but twice during this past week. The food is incredibly tasty, and we had a very nice server. The service from one server stood out - Nick, he was knowledgeable of the menu and had great recommendations as far as dishes go. One of my absolute favorite dishes would have to be the NOLA BBQ Gulf Shrimp & Grits, which had great flavor in not just the shrimp but the grits, too! I would order this dish next time I'm in. The coconut Crusted Shrimp was good- a bit on the sweet side, broccoli was flavorful with garlic. If you're looking for a delicious dessert, I highly recommend the beignets or the double chocolate bread pudding.

This restaurant has changed since since the last time I was here in 2014, however the stellar service and food had not! Our server John was awesome! Very attentive and kind, especially for our sons birthday. We had The NOLA shrimp and grits and the Creole pasta jambalaya! Phenomenal! Both recommended by John our server. The beignets were HUGE! BUT soooo delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant when at Disneyland and highly recommend requesting John as your server! -The Franco Family

Absolutely loved my experience here. The atmosphere was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. And the service was excellent as well. A little bit pricey for what the food was, but I have no qualms with it because it's California for one, and it's downtown Disney, so the reality is you're simply going to pay more. I got the jambalaya Alfredo with shrimp and my partner got the macaroni and cheese with chicken. We also got the beignets. Everything was absolutely scrumptious. Would highly recommend anyone to come here. One piece of advice though, if there's more than two of you, I would highly recommend making reservations in advance. It was my first time in downtown Disney and it was absolutely packed. We got to go in and get seated right away because it was just two of us, but the party of four that was ahead of us had a 45 minute wait.

Perhaps the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had in my life, complimented with a fantastic ginger sauce. Staff was very helpful and professional, and even gave me some free beignets (which are also the best I’ve ever had in my life)!

Wait was only 20 minutes. Staff were extremely nice. Food was amazing. I cant wait to go back. Oh and they had jazz music playing in the background as we ate. Loved it!

Some colleagues and I stopped for dinner and some drinks. We had a great server, had the loaded tots for an app... Sorry forgot to take a photo of those - would highly recommend. All-in-all everything was great.

Jazz Kitchen Downtown Disney restaurant was awesome! My wife and I shared the Creole Pasta Jambalaya, which was fantastic. Jessica, the manager personally greeted us. She took care of us personally when a drink came out that didn't taste pleasant to us and replaced it with a drink we did like. We also tried the Banana Foster Glazed Beignets - delicious! Thank you Jazz kitchen staff and Jessica for taking care of us!!

Always enjoy it here but last night was the best meal I've had in a long time anywhere. Sooooo yummy. Our server Ben S was witty and fun and the musicians were fabulous! Recommend making reservations because there is always a wait to get in.

On our most recent trip to Downtown Disney we had to stop by Jazz Kitchen to enjoy the remodel. Service as always was excellent. The balcony seating was wonderful. It was a little hot but we enjoyed gazing down at the crowds. The lobster Po-boy was beautifully delicious. My Reef & Beef lacked some flavor. Grits could use more flavor. The Honey Grilled Salmon was good. Will definitely be back for the Lobster Po-boy & BBQ Shrimp & Grits.

9/28/24 1500hrs Crystal was amazing! We ordered food for three people and I was truly pleased with Crystal’s service and recommendation. We had a fabulous experience at Jazz!! Would highly recommend visiting and requesting Crystal as your waitress! She’s fully knowledgeable and willing to help you select a pleasurable experience! The drinks are served perfectly! We’re from Phoenix and would love visiting this restaurant again soon.

Surprisingly delicious. I got the crab cakes which came with what appeared to be risotto with corn and such. I wish I took the time to really examine it as I basically stuffed my face until it was gone. It was fantastic and the service and the bar was great.

A party of two, we were quick to be seated on a Monday evening. Your waiter, Lisandro, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. He also guided us through our drink selections and was jovial and engaging when suggesting additional drinks. The Jazz Kitchen had a charming New Orleans style and a menu to match. We ordered the NOLA BBQ Gulf Shrimp & Grits, the Gumbo Ya-Ya, and the Crispy Calamari. The standout dishes were definitely the Shrimp & Grits and the Crispy Calamari — both were delicious and perfectly prepared. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent service, food, and atmosphere.

Alex was an amazing waiter. Everything he recommended was excellent. We had the beignet crab cakes and the garlic bread for an appetizer and he recommended the old fashion for a drink. All were amazing. Alex was very personable and we loved the atmosphere!!!!!

Had a great experience here thanks to our server, Alex! From the moment we sat down, Alex was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of without being overbearing. The service was fast, our drinks were always refilled, and recommendations were spot-on. The food came out hot and delicious, and the overall vibe felt welcoming. You can tell Alex genuinely cares about providing great service — it made the whole meal that much better. Will definitely be back!

I came for my Birthday and this restaurant helped with making my day a special day! Jasmine was our server and she was top tier with her service. This restaurant has live entertainment. The pianist sang many Disneys songs (old and new). We played name that tune as she sung the song. I the pianist had the restaurant sing happy birthday to me. The decor of the restaurant is relaxation. There is patio seating, veranda seating and inside with the live entertainment who sang. There is also upstairs seating. The food was good for the price point and a proper portion of food. I had a tasty hurricane. This a kid friendly restaurant. This restaurant validates parking. I made reservations through open table.

The atmosphere of Jazz Kitchen is lovely with live music playing, and the location in Downtown Disney is so much fun. I ordered the boudin balls for the appetizer, chicken with potatoes and salad for my entree, and old fashioned to drink. The food was a 4/5, the drink a 2/5, and the atmosphere a 5/5, leaving the final review as 4 stars. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and did check in our table multiple times throughout the night to provide great service.

Nice place located in downtown Disney in Anaheim, California. It has a southern menu, and it reminded me a lot of Louisiana. It's a good teaser in comparison to the real deal. The place was recently remodeled, and it's inviting. There was no elevator in this restaurant, so we left our stroller downstairs, but this is something to think about when someone is in a wheelchair. Your choice would be to dine in the 1st floor outside patio. Our server, Jessie, was great! He is very attentive and comical. He has a way with people, that's for sure. We ordered NOLA shrimp BBQ with grits, pasta jambalaya, penne pasta, and meatballs for the kiddo, crispy Calamari, so good. Blackened chicken, mac and cheese, and chocolate bread pudding. They are well balanced, well seasoned, and all tastes very good. I would have given this place 5 starts if I've never been to NOLA.

Loved the chocolate blackberry mint julep on the family happy hour. The gumbo was good and pricier than i normally buy but you are really paying for the Disney experience except in Downtown Disney the level of Disney is really disappointingly low. Was really surprised to see Jehovah witnesses there with their stand. The banana foster beignets were very yummy. The coastal jambalaya was big enough to share and had a slight taste of previously Frozen shrimp. Kevin, our server, was fabulous. The frozen non-alcoholic mint julep tasted too artificial -- maybe other frozen flavors would be better.

We were visiting downtown Disney with friends. There were loads of food choices. I like New Orleans so decided to try the Jazz Kitchen, and I am glad we did. I had the Bananas Fosters Beignets for my main dish (don’t judge me) and a side of cheesy grits with sauce. Amazing. My party also had the lobster poboy, bacon burger and jambalaya. All, delicious. The architecture was cool but frankly, I expected some more music or New Orleans style entertainment. It was very pleasant. The staff was excellent. And very attentive. Well, then everyone.

L

Tried bbq shrimp and grits, which has a nice flavor but way too salty so I had to add plenty of water to make it eatable. Also tried the drink canjun sunrise, and it is the first time I’ve some spices on the rim… Very noisy environment but the service was great.

First visit to Jazz Kitchen. The smell of Jambalaya called out to me in lieu of another burger. Jambalaya is good. It really did hit the spot. Thanks JACK for the good service. Everything should be seen through the lens of "it's downtown Disney, expensive, and sometimes busy". If you already accept that then I would call this one of the unique offerings (burgers, fries and chicken nuggets are everywhere). Sat immediately. About 5 - 7 minutes to order and food out in about 15 minutes. 1 person, Jambalaya, 20oz beer, 20% tip, $67.61

It had been several years since we last ate at Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, and the food during our trip this week was just as good as always. Enjoyed the Jambalaya Pasta. Pro tip: Stop by their take-out beignet place right next store for dessert. They have some unique takes on the original, but I'm a sucker for a traditional beignet and these are spot-on. I docked one star since the modern Disney-coordinated exterior remodel very much destroys the French Quarter facade and overall feel of the original restaurant, which is a shame. Still one of the better dining options at the parks.

Stopped in for a late bite after leaving the park. Fast friendly service and the food was pretty good. Andoui and parmesan grits were tasty, just wish they had more sausage. Good sauces to go with the calamari. We tried the quartet of beignets, they were a bit more chewy than I expected.

Located at Downtown Disney. It’s a big restaurant that can accommodate a lot of people. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is a sit down restaurant and there is live music (part of the loud noise). But the musicians are very good. It’s nice to have them playing jazz music while you enjoy your food. The food was amazing. Don’t come for snacks, the servings are big enough to share (in my opinion). We order Poutine, Calamari, Salmon, Hamburger and Chicken strips. We wanted to order the famous beignets but we were so full. We could have ordered it to go but the experience might not be the same. Maybe next time. Highlights: the Calamari was very good! Has the right hit amount of spice and very crispy! The kids ordered virgin Piña Coladas. OMG, they were delicious! Yes I tried it! lol. Cons: it can get really crowded and really loud. But this is Downtown Disney so it is to be expected. We ordered a “medium” burger but it was a bit dry.

This restaurant is currently the highest rated restaurant in Downtown Disney, so I wanted to try. We took outdoor seating to enjoy the breeze and people watch. Ashley was our server, and I had nothing but good opinions for her service; my water was always full, and our table cleaned of empty plates promptly. Most of our orders were of her recommendation. The calamari starter was good, with the marinara sauce being a great pair to the succulent calamari rings. My seafood gumbo broth came with good flavours when paired with the rice, though I wish the shrimps and crawfish came in larger sizes, as they seemed to be scarcely scattered all over. I found the Reef and Beef to be okay, though the portion did not justify the price IMHO. The shrimps were not fresh and did not have the snap, perhaps because they were overcooked. But the star of the meal was the homemade bread. They cost 2 bucks, but it was the best 2 bucks I spent. The bread was warm and moist, it made a perfect vessel to soak the leftover broth from my gumbo and the beef stew. I found Jazz Kitchen to be a good restaurant to eat in when we could appreciate something warm and cozy. But with Downtown Disney opening doors to new restaurants next year, it would be interesting to see how dining scene will turn out.

In the spirit of New Orleans I ordered a Pimm's cup, but unfortunately it wasn't great. The crab beignets on the other hand were amazing, and the side order of fries was very generously portioned. The Nola vibes were on point with the piano player and the palm leaves painted on the walls. I sat at the bar, and while the barteneder was nice, he was very busy which made it hard to get service.

The Baseline

The Baseline: For a Cajun Finer Dining establishment the creole flavors must be represented, there must be unique offerings to the restaurant, and the experience must be true to the spirit of a the Cajun culture. Food: The food at Jazz Kitchen has some great dishes and some good dishes. Everything tasted great and had a nice portion size. Best Dishes of the visit were the Spicy Grilled Chicken “Macaroni and Cheese” Bowl, Grilled Medallions of Fillet Mignon, Peach Pie Old Fashioned, and the Bananas Foster House Beignets. These had great taste, great preparation, and styled presentation. These good dishes were the Soft-shelled crab BLT Po-boy, Creole Pasta Jambalaya, and the Crab Beignets which were good but the po-boy was a little clunky, I wish the creole jambalaya was a rice dish, and the crab beignets were basically fritters. Good to great food and flavors overall. Service: Great service at the Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio. The water glasses were always full and we were checked on in a regular basis. Ambiance: The decor and vibe of the restaurant is like going to a New Orleans restaurant except with Disney theme park vibes and much cleaner streets. We got to sit out in the patio courtyard and it was nice. The bathrooms were clean.

We came here with some family who had reservations. I guess it was the only spot in Downtown Disney they could get. The service was pretty good; they seemed busy, of course, and the waitress tried her best to help us out as much as possible. The food wasn't great, though. Pretty expensive, as everything is in Downtown. My wife got the thing with the potato. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the pasta, and it wasn't great. It just wasn't too tasty at all, but the chicken-to-pasta ratio was pretty good. I did like the little chunks of tomatoes, but the flavor level was not good. I guess I'm saying that this is wasn't worth the price for what I got, but that's Disney, I guess. The atmosphere is always great at Disney, though. Probably not going to come back here specifically for a 2nd time, but I would suggest coming at least once if you live in the area like we do.

We came in with a group of 10 people for a birthday celebration and we made a reservation in advance. We brought our own birthday cake. Note that they will confiscate candles at the security checkpoint, so be prepared to cut the cake without the opportunity to blow the candle. Three people arrived and the restaurant wouldn't allow us to go in unless the full party arrived even though there are plenty of open tables and seats. They also said they would charge us a extra service fee of $10 per person for serving the birthday cake. I asked if we could just cut the cake ourselves and they eventually agreed and waived the extra service fee. The waitor who served us was very nice and friendly but the restaurant policy wasn't friendly. The food was okay overall and the portion size was big.

M
Michael Bailey

The food is okay at best. The main problem with their food is that it is probably the worst option in the Downtown Disney area. I got the soft shell crab po’ boy, it was probably the worst po’ boy I’ve had in my life. It wasn’t terrible by any means, it just brought me little joy. My family thought their food was okay, but no one raved about anything. It was probably the lowlight of our Disney trip. My daughter thought the fries were good and the potato salad I got with my sandwich was fairly good. Nothing else worth noting.

First time eating here and unless the food comes up to the level of the prices they're charging, it will be my last time. It's not that the food was bad, but it was just OK. We started off with Grilled Open-Faced Lobster "BLT" Po -Boy. This was OK. As you can see from the picture, all the lobster is hidden underneath all the greens, but there is lobster in there. For entrees we went with NOLA BBQ Gulf Shrimp & Grits and Lobster & Crawfish Remoulade Roll. We love shrimp & grits, but did not enjoy this variation. We attributed that to the BBQ sauce that made the dish taste sweeter than we're used to. The lobster roll was OK. We took beignets back to our hotel and these were really good! Best part of our meal for sure, especially the raspberry sauce that we got with them. As you can see the word OK is pretty much peppered throughout my review and for the $150 we paid, I don't think it was worth it. Now do go for the beignets, but you don't have to eat at the restaurant for that. Just go around the corner to Beignets Expressed for them.

Poutine was fine, but I prefer crumbled cheese. The cheese felt like clumpy stiff melted white cheese. The gumbo ya-ya is very beefy flavored with little protein and a lot of sauce, not very filling. Jambalaya pasta was good with a spicy kick. Could have used a bit more protein. The spinach noodles were nicely done al dente. The mint julep drink is not a real one, more like a watered down mule. My basil-blueberry cocktail was weak and not muddled enough. Decor is odd and dated. We do not like the new orange art deco/tropical look. Missing the beautiful decor of the past. Orange tacky chairs are in the patio. Green non-descript standard chairs are indoors. Nothing matches. Ate here twice in three days to give it another shot. The food doesn't feel authentic, but rather "touristy." No more unique vibe here. Used to be one of our go-to favorites. This regular is not coming back till they decide to get their mojo back.

With many new places opening up within downtown Disney by 2025, I really hope Jazz kitchen makes some changes to their food or quality for the price. The calamari was good, nothing spectacular started from the two people who ate it. The drinks were good, that was really the highlight here. The jambalaya with rice was much better than the couscous dish that was ordered. Hate to say, almost 50% of that dish was taken away since they truly didn't care for it. I ordered the poutine dish and it was sooooo salty that it almost made the dish not and to be finished. Granted, these are to have some saltiness, I know this ... But wow. I really wanted to have a nice "New Orleans" feel being actually four years prior. It sadly didn't give that feel with the atmosphere nor the food. The quality is not up to par with the food and honestly the service is not up to what they think they have going there. This seems to be a trend with a few places in downtown Disney.

J
Jensen Jones

Updated: Our server was a joy for our very large group. The food consistency is about the same except my brother had a dish he couldn't finish because the spice overpowered everything else. The atmosphere felt a little different. Overall the remodel and new ownership feels like a little bit of a downgrade. Old: Love this place. We eat here every visit to Disney. The food is always good and the Beniets😋

This is my 2nd time dining here. The 1st experience was fantastic, but this second time around... not so much. The food was just not as good. The best thing we had was our appetizer (fried calamari). The lobster beignets were okay, but the Jambalaya was not good. Had a very weird plastic taste. We appreciated the manager coming over to chat with us. Maybe it was just a bad batch 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞 Definitely want to give this place another chance in the future!

Mixed thoughts. Service was ok, food was good, atmosphere a bit of a let down. I’ve passed this place many times, enticed by the jazz and theme appearance. We were sat upstairs, inside where the music was barely audible. The theming was fairly bland, not the exciting New Orleans jazz club style I expected. Appetizers were tasty - i recommend the unique poutine and calamari. My entree was the lobster and shrimp roll, which was a far cry from what I expected. Our server was ok, but nothing special, oddly enough we were asked to keep our appetizer forks for our entrees. For the cost of the food I think they could clean a few more forks. The server’s description of a beer wound up incorrect, although I did end up liking the beer. Given the many choices at Downtown Disney, I would pass in the future.

Decided to give this place a try because I was craving some Jambalaya. Probably one of the worst Jambalaya dishes I've ever had. Tasted like the sauce was watered down marinara sauce with some spice. Needless to say it was very disappointing especially at $38. The wife got the Spicy Chicken Mac & Cheese but that too lacked flavorand the chicken was full of cartilage. It said it had bread crumbs in the dish but I guess somebody forgot to crumble it up because it was croutons. This place was definitely a one and done. I've had much better food from a food truck for much less!!

Was excited to celebrate a special birthday dinner here, unfortunately service was very slow to start. We sat for 15 minutes, not greeted by anyone, passed quite a few times by staff. When they finally figured out who was our person, they apologized profusely. Dinner was average, to be perfectly honest. The drinks from the bar took about another 20 minutes to receive from the placement of our dinner order, again more apologies. Our waitress was very nice did her best as she could. At the end of our dinner, I went to the ladies restroom upstairs and it was disgusting!!! Trash overflowing, no toilet paper, and complete mess. I went outside to tell the bartender the restroom needed attention, her response was “thats not my job” I understand it’s not your job, but can you please ask someone to tend to it. Extremely rude!!! I did see a manager and told him the condition of the ladies restroom, his reply “thanks”… wow!!! Well…. Suffice to say, rethink spending 300.00 for a dinner that is merely adequate, confusion as to who is in charge of your table. Good luck getting your drinks!!!

We enjoyed the festive atmosphere and live music. The food was an unfortunate afterthought it seemed. My meal was forgettable and certainly not a Mac & Cheese with breadcrumbs but an overcooked pasta dish with croutons. Nothing offensive but the price. Inside the park our meals were delicious mostly. I would SKIP this restaurant in the future. The dessert very yummy! (It came from next door)

G

This place has gone way downhill since Ralph Brennans disassociated itself. Definitely not worth the $300+ bill for four people. The service was good but the food was awful. The filet medallions were tough, not tender. Others in our party had chicken which was also tasteless. And I called out the managers on the beignets which were seriously the worse I’ve ever had. The beignets are what they pride themselves on with a take-out next door. They were literally lumps of dough overly deep-fried…not light and puffy like true beignets. This is not the place we remember. Bottom line, go somewhere else for dinner.

C
Crystal L

Had the Spicy Chicken and Mac n Cheese bowl....hearty portion of bland chicken on top of penne pasta sprinkled with parmesan cheese and croutons. I tell you a little salt would go a long way with this dish. Definitely had buyers remorse here. Will say the atmosphere and live music was pleasant and the service was good, as well.

H
Holly Lemon

Shocked that people are liking the food here. We tried a variety of dishes, all lacking flavor and quality. We sat on the inside due to poor weather and there wasn’t much decoration and no indication there was a jazz theme. The grilled cheese was decent but can’t recommend anything but the banana foster beignets.

b
briana lastra

The Jazz Kitchen since the remodel, sadly, is not the same at all. Service was very rushed, the waiter seemed annoyed that we weren’t ready as soon as we sat down and the food was awful. My SO and I both ordered the shrimp and grits (a favorite of ours), it did not taste the same at all. I could only stomach 1/2 of my plate. Neither one of us finished our food. We ordered a calamari appetizer, it came out cold. My son got the children’s pasta with meatballs, it literally tasted like tomato sauce and frozen meatballs. This used to be our go-to favorite restaurant while in Disneyland, but we will never come back. I actually regret the money I spent here because the whole experience was so bad.

V
Van Wilder

Gumbo was trash. No lobster roll on the menu anymore, and no poboys. Instead its a shrimp and crab meat on a brioche. Way too much bread. Jambalaya pasta was good but i wanted it on rice. They didnt offer it on rice and it wasn't $37 good for a plate of noodles. I dont mind paying high prices if the flavour meets the expectation but this place did not. Pass on it if you are expecting an actual New Orleans type of fancy meal.
