What an experience. This place just reopened after renovations. First time there in years but even better than before. Riley and Victor made our evening wonderful. The Coachella Valley Cooler and Wild Boar were my favorite. The wife loved the mushroom bisque too. Just be ready to spend. Just remember you get what you pay for and it’s worth it.

A MUST-STOP #1 ON OUR LIST We were lucky enough to be one of the first groups to sit at the chefs' viewing tables. Simply AMAZING! The Opus One paired perfectly with the Goose & Lamb. TOP-NOTCH, ONE OF THE BEST

Service - The best part of our night was the service. Michael did an excellent job, we had one of the last time slots and I was surprised he still had the energy at the end of the day to be friendly and make jokes when checking in on us. We didn’t end up trying wines since we are not wine people and he gave no judgment for it and happily showed us the cocktail menu. The staff in general was great too - checking in on us and making sure to take away plates when we were done eating, refilling water, moving the courses along at our pace. Food - The food was great too. We tried the fixed price menu. The flavor was there for all the dishes - though some lacked the visually appealing element. I would give this part a 4/5. The wild boar dish was too heavy and it was visually the least appealing - there was a frothy thing on it and maybe I am no culinary expert - but it was weird. The fish of the day entree was great in flavor - though my fish was a little greasier than I would want. My husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The dessert was fantastic- truly no notes. Atmosphere - I would give this a 4/5. The restaurant felt a little dated. However, it did fit into the vibe I was expecting so not the worse thing. We were not sat near the open kitchen, so we didn’t get to see any of the chefs cooking - though this was more of a plus since it was a little more quiet and we enjoyed our chat more.

We had a phenomenal experience here after a long day at the parks. Very upscale Californian cuisine. The staff is well educated, patient, and courteous. The head chef does a good job of securing local ingredients and the management creates a peaceful atmosphere. The food is great, and they validate parking at the Californian! Can’t wait to come here again our next trip to Disneyland!

Napa Rose will always be a favorite for us. In 2016 we rented the private dining room and patio for our wedding reception. Ever since, many staff members recognize and greet us by name. The food and drinks are exceptional, and the vibe is relaxing and fun. My all time favorites are the Smiling Tiger Salad and the Mushroom Cappuccino. Their Old Fashioned and Provence Sour are the perfect prelude to the amazing food. I highly suggest booking the Chef’s counter. The counter top looks directly at the kitchen and you get to witness the action of the culinary team. At the counter there is no menu, you simply chat with the chef and they make you an array of dishes. It’s easy to forget you’re at Disney Ca Adventure, until you see a pair of Mickey Ears bobbing through the dining room. Luckily they have a relaxed dress code for those visiting after the theme park.

Thank you Wonderful Wendy! You made our evening with your smiles and humor. You chose the right wine for my dinner. Sorry I added tequila to the mix, as I was a little chilly from the breeze coming from the side room. We tried out three cocktails. The Napa Rose we sent back because it was so sweet tasting like a pixie stick candy. The Bitter Storm was a better drink with warm flavors. I loved the Abeja Asesina with Mezcal and Bourbon as the flavors were bright and refreshing. Tiger Prawn Salad was flavorful. The Frog Legs were better than I expected and nicely plated. The tender Black Angus filet mignon with the shredded smoky oxtail was amazing. The Herb Roasted duck breast was tender and lightly seasoned. The buttery mushroom soup was warming and lovely as a dipping sauce for the sweet potato bread. Dessert was apple stuffed French toast. That was lightly sweet and not like a typical toast bread. The atmosphere was relaxing with warm wood colors. We sat facing the open kitchen which was great for me because I work at a fine dining open kitchen. We listen in on the executive chef calling out the orders. The GM visited us twice and I watched as the floor managers made sure to touch the tables to check on guests. They even served dishes and poured wine. I have to say that this is top quality service I would expect from this establishment.

This is the best food at the resort available to the public. It was all very delicious. You should expect to spend a few hours here, the food comes out a little at a time. All of my meats were cooked to perfection. Our server was also very nice and knowledgeable of the menu.

This restaurant was everything I expected from a place as revered as this. Be mindful when going as menu items change and some items add up to a bigger check. That being said, the service and atmosphere were amazing from the get-go. The food was spectacular and the wines offered were great. I highly recommend to put a reservation to this place when you are available to do so and save up for a grand experience. The time never felt wasted and it was a great way to enhance my Disneyland experience. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in coming.

What an incredible time with family, both the food and wine were delicious. The service was above and beyond any expectations. Our server Cresslyn was fantastic and host Jess made our evening truly memorable with a kitchen tour and head chef introduction. A total first class experience !!!

Probably the best food experience (elevated food experience) at the park unless you are special enough for the Club 33 and stuff. Excellent portion sizes dolled out with leisure and plenty of time to sip and chat between courses. Delightful pairings and recommendations for wine.

I managed to get reservations for the second seating on 12/3. Prior to the shutdown, we would eat at the Chef’s counter, since reopening, the counter is only the weekends and in high demand.. Once at the hotel, we were able to valet park. I like how the cast members at the gate welcome you to the Hotel. If you are there 5 hours or less and get you valet ticket validated, your parking is free. The lobby of the Grand Californian was packed. There were singers , pictures with Santa and just a lot of people. We managed to order drinks while we waited. I enjoyed the hibiscus punch. We probably got seated 15 minutes after our reservation (first seating diners). We closed out the restaurant. The service was excellent! We ordered the Chef’s menu They ask about food allergies and made adjustments accordingly. I had a sweet potato ravioli, while my brother and sister n law had butter nut squash ravioli . My husband had the fish, I opted for the beef. The Chef’s menu is $125/person. You can include the wine flight with each course. ( maybe $110). I ordered by the glass and had the Riesling. I like sweet with savory Prior to the shutdown, there was bread service.with fabulous lavash that was included with the meal now you can purchase some focaccia with butter baked on demand. I had the chocolate option for dessert with hot tea. They only have English Breakfast last time I had Earl Grey. We were not disappointed with dinner, yes it expensive but will not break the bank.

After a day of the park we decided to stop here for a nice dinner. We were worried that we were under dressed but there were lots of people dressed casual and dolled up Guess you have your mix. Our waiter was phenomenal. He recommended my the Vodka Mule and I have feel in love with this drink ever since. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The food here is pricey but it was worth it. After having food at the park all day we wanted something good. Overall our dinning experience here was exceptional. The service was great, the ambiance was really nice and the food was really good. We had to make a reservation here so I recommend making one.

This is an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Chef Andrew Sutton has created an amazing and creative menu, the wine selection is extensive, and the service is impeccable. I have eaten here several times and it does not matter what you order, it is all great - be adventurous and enjoy. For a truly unique and special experience, call the restaurant and make a reservation for the Chef's Counter. You will have seats at the counter looking into the kitchen. Skip ordered off the menu here and go with the 5 course tasting menu prepared by the sous chef. You will be served heaven on a plate five different times. And, for those that enjoy wine, add the wine pairing to your 5 course meal for a completely decadent evening. Oh, and don't be shy when sitting at the Chef's Counter, when the crew are working on something in front of you ask questions. They love to talk about their work!

An amazing restaurant. Everything I've had the pleasure to try is delicious and perfectly prepared. The Chef's Counter experience is definitely worth trying, if you are able to get a reservation for it, but even a normal reservation won't disappoint in getting to enjoy one of the best meals and service you can experience in the Disneyland Resort. It's like getting to dine at Club 33, without needing the membership or a park ticket to get in!

Never disappointed. Our server Issaac was amazing along with Chef Bryan who made sure our experience at the chef counter was one to remember. Food was top rated and the way they blended flavors in each dish along with the wine pairings was very special. Highly recommend!!!

AMAZING Restaurant! Had an early "Valentines Day" dinner last night and I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Napa Rose. I had the Filet Mignon, Green salad w/20 year vinigrette and the GF ordered a dish with octopus, yellowtail and side of Macaronni and cheese. Very delicious! For dessert we each had a scoop of ice cream and shared the Apple Pecan Crisp! I believe our waiters names was Nobari or Novari (sp?) and he was very attentive and did a great job. Since they offer free 5 hour Valet, we walked around downtown Disney after and enjoyed some live music and shopping. Overall GREAT experience. Can't wait to visit again!!!

Great atmosphere and service. Tiger Salad was great, but the mushroom soup needed more flavor, and the chicken was not cooked all the way.

Definitely the most delightful and elegant restaurant in Disneyland Resort. The cuisine is creative, remarkably delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. The decor of the restaurant is sophisticated but you can still comfortably dine here sporting your Mickey t-shirt that you wore for the day to play in the park. If you're feeling adventurous, you must try their chef's seasonal four course menu + wine pairing; it has not disappoint me the times I tried it during two different seasons (bonus: they will work with you if you need modifications to any of the chef's items). A great place to unwind and converse with your party over amazing food and wine; we stayed til past closing hour one time but the staff never rushed us to leave and even continued to serve our table. This restaurant gives you the whole package experience; it definitely deserves a spot in your Disneyland itinerary!

Very upscale and fine dining in DCA, I'm currently catching up on reviews and this place when it was open was such an experience of elegance and high end service. They have an elegant and extensive wine list. Our servers were amazing and did a superb job the entire dinner. For food we had the filet mignon and the whole menu is thoroughly thought out so you can't really go wrong with any item you order here.

Best Christmas dinner I've have ever had! Spot on!! I cannot believe the attention to detail and absolute care that goes into every succulent, decadent and delicious dish that is prepared here. The expedition type kitchen lets you see first hand the quality and care that goes into the ingredients chosen and expert preparation of each dish. On a side note, If you can ever get a reservation, the Chef's Table at the Napa Rose is an experience that no one should miss. You can sit and ask the chef's questions as your meal is prepared to your specifications and approval. The service here is also impeccable! Our waiter, a mature, very classy and stylish French gentleman gave us, in my honest opinion, service unrivaled by most of the finest waiters/Wine Sommeliers I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I undersand that Disneyland and anything the Disney corporation touches is known for its magic, but this takes all. I mean I don't think I could recommend a restaurant more than the Napa Rose.Very special, very elegant and just amazing! Thank you Disney for another great Christmas! And one of the best fine dining experiences I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying! (Side note) I've experienced more fine dining establishments and experiences than I could count. Beginning in my early adolescence and continuing to present day, fine dining is my true passion. Just so you know that I'm not gushing about a restaurant with no idea what I'm talking about or what fine dining is. I hope you enjoy. Also I would not come with any expectation of being frugal or spending less than $200 minimum for 2 guests. There was a total of 5 guests in my party and when it was all said and done, it cost me about $800. For me, It's all about the experience cuisine and memories, not the price. Cheers!

For so many years, Napa Rose has been our go-to favorite, and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Nestled within the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort, this gem never fails to impress. The service is consistently exceptional, a testament to their well-staffed team. Every cast member exudes knowledge and a level of attentiveness that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. We've found ourselves gravitating towards the bar, where the craft cocktails are of course supreme. Each sip is a delightful journey through flavor, hitting all the right notes. The vibes at Napa Rose strike a perfect balance between chill and upscale, creating an ambiance that sets it apart from the bustling theme parks. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic Disney fans right here. The conversations sparked in this space have been nothing short of magical. Whether you're a regular visitor or a first-timer, Napa Rose manages to capture the essence of what makes dining at the Disneyland Resort a truly enchanting experience. Here's to many more years of delightful memories at this culinary haven!

Fine dining. Outstanding. Decadent. Top notch. 5 star. Service. Decor. Ambiance. Was a perfect venue for a special celebration. The menu was exquisite. The wine list unparalleled (in my opinion). Highly recommend. Pro tip. Make a reservation in advance.

Warm atmosphere with seasoned servers serving up favorite dishes in new ways, including the smiling tiger sald with 2 hushpuppies, a mushroom soup cappuccino, duck shepard pie, salmon and clams, and a to-die-for filet mignon. Desserts were a pear crisp with berries and a hot drinking chocolate that reminded me of what I had in a nearby Milan village 20 years ago.

I consider Napa Rose to be the companion restaurant to the DisneyWorld equivalent of the California Grill. It’s so consistently good, and the wine focus adds a great layer to it. Service is on point, and the tasting menu was delightful. The dessert course was my least favorite, but it was easily forgiven with the other courses and wine pairing.

B
Brian Silva

I've had some amazing meals here. I did "The Vintner's Table" with wine flight. This changes weekly. It just so happens the two times I went, the meals were right up my Alley and the wines fit my taste perfectly. The first course was a miso cod. Sometimes the miso flavor of a miso fish dish can be over powering, but the miso was mild and balanced. Next was a Pear salad. It had a nice mix of sweet, tart, and crunch. The main course was a Duck with house made duck sausage. Let me mention duck is one of my favorite things to eat, so this was amazing. I have also had some amazing service here. This last time, the server could see that I injured my hand and offered go get an ice pack for me to relieve my pain. Very nice guy.

Elegant, delicious food, small but filling portions. Gorgeous presentation. Dondi is a great server and sommelier. Definitely go for the Vintners Table with with wine pairings. Not inexpensive but the experience is fantastic.

I came here with a reservation for my birthday. It is obvious that this place is expensive, the question really is, is it worth it? I gave this restaurant a solid five stars because this restaurant excels at everything from taste, to creativity, to service! In my opinion, this restaurant is definitely worth what you pay for, although I certainly would only recommend it for those special occasions; as it is VERY expensive.

Went for chef's table, have been a few times, but this last time was the best, the food was outstanding, best food i have had in Disneyland, better then club 33 in my opinion. This is a cool experience, definitely worth price it cost

as far as the overall experience goes i was so very happy with everything napa rose had to offer. the service was top notch, the presentations were stunning and the food was the best i have had. i recommend the vinter's table to anyone who wants to splurge a little but really wants to be treated to new and unusual pairings of food. i noticed many were trying the vinter's that night and everyone seemed very satisfied. i can see how napa rose was voted best of zagat the last 5 years and best of orange county. it was a long tiring week at disneyland and it was an adventure but a trip to napa rose in in my near future this i promise.

I’m very picky and quite hard on more expensive dining options. My family and I came for breakfast with the princesses and this was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in a year, yet it is not the most I’ve paid for a meal in the past year: the staff were friendly and seemed like they wanted to be there (their love for the kids who come to see them was evident to me in their expressions when ‘no one was watching’), the food was excellently prepared and inspired, and everything tasted great. I wish restaurants like this existed in my home state of Colorado. 10/10 will return.

Fantastic experience at the chef's table, very pricey but well worth it. To book you have to call the grand Californian hotel direct then be transferred to Napa Rose to book, ask for the chef's table in main kitchen, tell chef your likes and dislikes and wait to be wowed!

Princess breakfast! Very expensive at over $400 for three people, but it was amazing! I usually really love the food at Disney, this was not one of my favorite food experiences but it was a favorite for the princesses.

Took our 3 yr old daughter for Princess Breakfast and it was phenomenal! Needless to say my daughter had a blast of course but also I, who has always been a disney princess enthusiast since I could remember, loved the whole experience. Our server, Derek, was very helpful and the 3-course meal was also nice. The meal was more like afternoon tea desserts with all those pretty treats but I didn't mind at all. (I don't know what my husband thought of the meal but after all, it's not about him lol. But check out his cool tshirt at the background)

Thoroughly enjoyed a "late" 9 pm dinner with a friend. I ordered the pre-fixe tasting menu with wine pairing, and my friend ordered a la carte to suit their taste. PROS: A delightful greeting from the hostess, welcomed me, and even though I arrived slightly early, they accommodated me very shortly upon arrival. Walking into the Napa Rose's art deco pastel pink decor and with warm wood tones invoked a fall feeling that I welcomed whole heartily. The server, Cresslyn, one of an army of sommeliers that serve, expertly spoke of the menu, the prefixe menu, and the wines. I chose prefixe menu with wine pairings since I was on vacation. The wide selection of proteins, preparations, and produce pleased my palate. For the first course, I savored the duck confit salad with frisee, and dijon vinaigrette with a white wine from Lebenon. The sweetness of the wine paired with the mustard and fatty duck did an excellent job cutting through the sharp and fatty flavors. The second course brought a wild boar cassoulet with green garbanzos. The Washington red paired with this was dry and slapped my tongue into submission on its own, but paired with the boar it stopped being a bore on my papillae. A homemade lemon sorbet with flowers and olive expertly cleansed the harsh Washington red. The third course introduced me to my first Chicken Gallantine with seasonally fresh squash. Crunchy outside and juicy inside the Gallantine balanced perfectly with a French Burgundy. On its own, the Burgandy smoothly melanged with my taste buds. Finally, the fourth course conjured a perfect pumpkin pie with layers of hazelnut crunch underneath the silky pumpkin filling. The pastry chef placed a garden pumpkin essense cubes on top, ready to be harvested, and consumed. The Sicilian inspired dessert wine did not accompany the pie as well as I would have hoped. Coffee might have been a better option. Napa Rose created some expertly appointed dishes for me in their prefixe menu, and my friend's a la carte meal pleased, as well. They expertly cooked the Divers scallop, and crisped the gnocchi better than any other Italian restaurant that I have tasted. Each potato pouch felt exquisite to consume. The rabbit and dumplings tasted like the holiday dish that I wished I always had at Grammy's house, but never knew existed. Napa Rose always impresses. The server from Transylvania, Nico, told us stories about the "old country" and how they never lost their religion to the Turks, but instead appeased them with paying exorbitant taxes. Cresslyn was a gem, I even mistook her to Cinderella. She even created some Disney magic at our table! CONS: One of the servers that brought us our food was not at the same level as the others, and was a bit crass in their service. I think that they could have tried a bit harder on the dessert wine selection to pair it better with the pumpkin pie extraordinaire. I asked why they did not have a Michelin Star, as I have been to many other one star restaurants. They are just that good. You will enjoy a beautifully thought out menu, wonderfully executed food, expertly served dishes and drinks, from an staff that carefully cultivates their love of dining. ⚜️💚⚜️

What an exceptional experience. For starters our server Brett had outstanding knowledge of the menu the wines and the overall fine dining experiences in the area even outside of the local restaurants. The food was an unconventional mix of amazing flavors and spices to create one of the greatest restaurant experiences I can remember. I wanted to take more photos but I couldn't help but enjoy the food and wine despite it's hefty price, which I must say is very well worth it. I will definitely return to this place in the future, one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles or Orange County in my opinion

It’s a dine dining restaurant in the hotel we stayed at. The restaurant style is classic, the foods are new American style. They served fixed menu which is $110 per person including four courses. The foods portion is kind of small, so one person for one fixed meal is very reasonable. The foods are very beautiful plated, the tastes are very delicate and delicious. I really liked their cocktails, they have a long drink menu~ I recommend this place if you want a romantic dinner during your Disney trip.

The food was amazing and our server Becca was the beat, she explained everything to us since it was our first time here. Helped with wine pairing and answered all our questions. Great place to spend your anniversary dinner! We got the sauteed heirloom pork medallion, grilled beef tenderloin, sauteed Spanish zucchini blossom, and hearth-roasted duck meatballs. 😋 We will definitely be going again in the future.

If you’re looking for fine-dining at its finest, there’s no need to traverse the globe. The Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is without a doubt in the top five restaurants I’ve eaten at in the world. Having dined there three nights in a row during my stay at the hotel, and having worked my way across the menu during that time, I can honestly say that the chefs and kitchen team here have a unique kind of magic all their own. I’m talking the freshest seasonal ingredients, amazing counterbalances of flavors and textures, stunning presentation, and creativity combined with execution at the absolute highest level. If you’re a fan of luxurious, unique, deeply flavorful food, you simply must make the journey here. Just as one would pair the perfect wine with an excellent entree, the Napa Rose also pairs exceptional cuisine with a sensational staff. To start with, the management is incredible. I cannot say enough fantastic things about Jess, and Jacob is very nice as well. As far as servers go, two very special standouts at the restaurant are Julio and David. They know every inch of the Napa Rose menu, and that expertise on the chef’s creations, pairings, and flavors allows them to speak with confidence and clarity about every item offered. Their attentiveness and amazing attitudes paired with the truly unbelievable food always make my whole Napa Rose experience unforgettable. The restaurant is also truly lucky to have Christina, Roberto, Rodrigo, Hugo, Irvin, Victor, and both Michaels. They are exceptional, friendly, attentive, knowledgable, and delightful. And at the front you have to love the great service provided by Natalia, Mika, Gene, and Dee. The whole team's warmth rivals the hot food coming out of the stellar kitchen full of talented chefs and creative leadership. And their efficiency in terms of speed and keeping the flow of dinner going rivals the smoothest flow of the most well-oiled ride at either theme park. I look forward to enjoying more of the chef’s immaculate, unrivaled culinary triumphs in the future.

It’s been a while since we have dined here. We have been wanting to come back. We were very pleased with the food. We purposely ordered different courses so that I could get as many pictures as I can. We ordered a bottle of Seghesio Red Zinfandel wine 🍷 and loved it and paired well with our four coarse meals. 6-2-24 We have been waiting to experience The Chefs Counter at Napa Rose. What a wonderful experience this was! It was a 3 hour dining experience with amazing dishes and staff. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. #naparose

The food could only be described as excellent. Nothing I tasted seemed even slightly off .The service was incredibly attentive. The main dining room was surprisingly quiet for its size (and the large kitchen in it) which allowed for casual conversation. This restaurant is quite expensive, so these are expected. Good choice for a very special occasion.

Absolutely my favorite meal for our DisneyLand trip. The wine pairings were absolutely delicious. This was a true Disney experience like what we've experienced in past visits to Disney World. Our waiter Michael was extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Very attentive to the needs of our group. Thank you!

Got to eat at the chef's table and had a fabulous time! All the chefs were super friendly and showed us everything they were making and answered all our questions. Plus our one of kind meal was incredibly delicious! The Sommelier paired wines to perfectly match the meal

Hands down the best meal I’ve ever had! Opted for the Vintner’s table four course meal and was super impressed with every course that came out. It was timed perfectly with great wine, great atmosphere and great service. Top notch visit!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience. We used a 50% Dining Coupon, and when telling our server that we will be using said coupon, the service usually takes a nosedive. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE with our Server Brett. He was extraordinarily friendly and helpful with everything. The menu does change based on what's in season, which is amazing for those who are a little more adventurous with what you would like to eat. You can alternatively order from an a-la-carte menu as well. My girlfriend and I did the pre-fix menu and everything was cooked perfectly. I firmly believe this is the best Disney Restaurant on Land, (cruise line is a different story). Napa Rose is an absolutely must-do dinner without the kids. If you appreciate culinary at any level, you have to dine here.

Rodney was our server and was absolutely amazing! The first course scallop was cooked PERFECTLY and was so fresh! The duck confit for the second course had the most wonderfully crispy skin and my third course the pheasant absolutely blew my mind. It was so tender and flavorful!!! The warm pear upside down butter cake was the perfect way to end an unforgettable meal! Worth the effort for reservation!!

My husband and I had the tasting menu for our 20th wedding anniversary. Our waitress, Wendy, was lovely. The food was the very best I’ve had on Disney property. Highly recommend.

Went here for a family holiday meal. Amazing atmosphere, food, and cast members. Even the Chef came by to check in on our meal. The tasting menu was amazing, definitely worth a try.

Incredible experience at the Chef's Table dinner! Even got to chat a bit with Chef Sutton, which was really cool. All of the chefs are kind and really passionate about their jobs, which shows! The food was out of this world amazing! And the wine pairing was A+. Highly recommend this experience if you can snag a reservation!

Visited the Chefs Counter on September 1st and that experience was amazing. For the $100 per person service, you are sat at the main or dessert counter where you are treated to all types of foods as part of the five course meal. The entire service can last up two hours and they do take your preferences and allergens into heavy consideration for the meals being served to you. Just remember to always let them know what you do and dont like throughout the service in case there is something that is not satisfactory.

Well, I had a defining moment of my life here while sitting at the table alone. Sipping the most exquisite cup of jitter juice. The kids outside demanding signatures from princesses. It is a white table cloth affaire, and you will be waited on hand over fist. You will pay for it, and you will have the realization that you made it in life. The theme and craftsmanship of the every single pastry, appetizer, parfait, waffle, and French fry will be mind boggling. That fact alone will cause your kids to try so many things that this will also surprise you, and cause you to try to freeze this moment in time.

This is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland and though it’s a splurge it’s always totally worth it. The menu is updated as seasons change and this time I ordered Masutake mushroom soup with 2 egg yolk dumplings (smooth intense flavor- delicious), Berkshire pork with lemongrass Asian pear (perfectly cooked and love the pear with pork), Valrhona Manjari chocolate macadamia nougat bar (such deep chocolate flavor and super decadent!). My waiter was super attentive but not in an annoying way and I love that they are so knowledgeable about the food on the menu and sound passionate about it. If you can’t get reservations do try the bar or walk up!

We did the Princess Breakfast and had a wonderful time! Our waiter was amazing and provided great service. The food they bring out on platters was very tasty and fun to try. The buffet was AMAZING!! We find the COVID protocols with seeing the princesses to be quite awkward, but it was nice to still have the chance to take photos with princesses.

We've been dining at Napa Rose for more than 20 years, since the hotel and park opened. There were a few off years recently, but the restaurant is back at the top again. If you want fine dining at the Disneyland resort, nothing else comes close. The current menu is a great mix of flavors. Highly recommend the pork chop and the Smiling Tiger Salad.

An incredibly special and memorable dinner. The drinks and food were great. The service from our waiter was phenomenal. The kitchen made me a special gnocchi dish with seasonal vegetables as an entree since I'm vegetarian

We did the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure.. Nothing else compares. This is the creme de la creme, the gold standard. The food is exquisite, the service is perfect, and the memories you will make with your kids will be unforgettable. It is not cheap, but if you have the means, I highly recommend this experience! Expect to spend well over $125 per person. Our server Danny was a treat as well as all the rest of the staff. Everyone is so upbeat and make the experience so wonderful.

Our server told us the prefix menu changes every Friday. They also offer an a la carte menu. It is a wine forward restaurant, but their cocktails were absolutely delicious and our server asked us a few questions and gave us personalized suggestions. It's a great place to celebrate in a classy way. I would also recommend it for date night. Our server told us that the head chef, Andrew Sutton is also the head chef at Carthay Circle and Club 33.

Princess Breakfast Adventure. By far one of the best breakfasts we've ever had at Disneyland or any of their properties (this includes Aunties house at the Polynesian and Plaza Inn, sorry). We love ALL Disney dining restaurants we've been to, but there was something about the combination of the service, the food and meeting 6 princesses that took this over the top for us. Every single course was phenomenal, the service impeccable, ambience and decor on point. My daughter even said she liked it more than Be Our Guest at Disney World. I would probably most closely compare this experience to one of the restaurants on a Disney Cruise, which is where we've had some of the most impeccable Disney dining service ever. If you can swing it, I say go for it and splurge. It can be pricey for a large group, but the memories you make are worth it (in my opinion), especially if you have a princess fan. Our server Danny was the best. He brought that extra Disney magic to our meal. The chef was also great and so friendly. Mobile check in is a breeze. When you arrive you'll be seated at a waiting area where you'll get to meet your first princess while your table is prepared. There's some wonderful Disney music playing via a Disney artist for your enjoyment while you wait. The waiting table also has a cute Rapunzel tic-tac-toe themed game you can play while you wait. The 3 courses start out the same for every party. You get a starter tower with various bites of food, all themed after a princess. You also get a small basket of muffins and scones with a cute little pot of lemon curd for spreading. After the tower you're welcome to the Chef's table area which is set-up with a delicious spread of hot breakfast items. In between each course you're encouraged to visit the courtyard where further encounters with more princesses await. In total we met 6; Aurora, Tiana, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Mulan and The Little Mermaid. We ended our meal with a dessert spread. They also have a variety of princess themed drinks which all sounded delicious. A breakfast mimosa is included in the price of your meal. My daughter had Tiana's Mardi Gras drink which she thought both looked beautiful as well as tasted delicious. Again, LOVED our experience. Hope you do too!

We went for the Disney Princess Brunch since we couldn't manage to snag a lunch or dinner reservation. It was VERY expensive but it was very good food and a lot of it. There were opportunities to take pictures with princesses as they rotated in various stations outside the restaurant, but no hugging or close contact. You may or may not see any specific princess or get to take pictures with them before they rotate, depending on when you go. Brunch started with a basket of pastries and creamy lemon curd. There were adult (alcoholic) and soft drinks available (mocktails as well as kid drinks) for an additional cost. The first course was a tower of appetizer sampler treats; it included a thick slice of banana wrapped in a crepe and then bruleed, ham and caramelized onion finger sandwiches, mini lobster rolls, mini beignets, and coconut chia pudding with fresh mango and kiwi. After more princess pictures, we were invited to grab a plate to walk through the buffet line. Traditional breakfast options were offered, like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and lots of fresh fruit. There were plates with a Mickey waffle, cup of syrup, and small boneless piece of fried chicken. There were also more exotic choices like slices of roast beef with bernaise sauce, sauteed wild mushrooms, and sundried tomato, or mini pots of mac n cheese, or mini crab cakes. When we returned to the table, there were steak fries in a basket waiting for us with ketchup and romesco sauces. The dessert course was peanut butter chocolate cups, macarons, mini tarts, cake pops, and raspberry sorbet topped with pop rocks and cotton candy. We could not finish all of it and there is no way a child could eat that much. Many of the girls there were so excited to meet princesses they barely ate. We were not rushed at all but be aware that trying to see a specific princess might require a lot of attention to timing of princess rotation rather than food. :)

Upscale premiere restaurant located in the Grand Californian. Dress is business casual. Beautiful dining room and lounge. Can order either ala carte or Vintner's prix fixed menu. Recommend the Vintner's if first dining. Had delicious scallop, salmon, fillet mignon, and chocolate pistachio dessert-very rich and so good! Also recommend you order the Foccaia bread round. Comes with 3 dipping sauces and can easily take it with it. One of the best breads we had during our visit. Service is excellent. Allow a minimum of 2 hours for visit and each course is served slowly so you can enjoy your food. Reservations are required and best obtainable if you book 60 days out from date you wish to visit. Probably one of the best restaurants in the Disneyland complex!

Napa Rose and the Princess breakfast was the perfect way to spend our last day at Disney! We had an exceptional experience with our grandkids (and their parents:). The whole experience from reservation - (we were fortunate enough to get a walk-up reservation), to food and Princess experience was Royal! It was so amazing to have the princesses all to ourselves and experience the Disney magic!

We went at some point for the Princess Breakfast Adventure. This'll give you an idea of the food which was a lot and quite filling. This would be more of a special occasion sort of meal I would say. Or like us, decided to do it because we didn't know what to expect and hadn't experienced this offering before.

Attended the Disney Princess Breakfast experience with my family. We really enjoyed the food and the servers. The princesses were a huge hit with the youngling. Special Princess Breakfast buttons for all and a Princess Aurora doll for young ones added to the experience. The quality and presentation of the food reminded me of Tea at the Disneyland Hotel. There were 7 princesses overall, and we got to spend a decent amount of time with each and didn't feel rushed at any point. While this was the most expensive meal we had during our stay, we agreed that it was worth the extra money.

We enjoyed dinner in the newly renovated dining space. Service is always outstanding at Napa Rose and this visit was wonderful. Our top food choices included the seasonal fish first course which was cooked perfectly (would have happily had a larger portion as an entree), the goose en croute and rib-eye courses were savory and paired well with the wine, and the apple brioche was a great dessert. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Princess special brunch is delicious and a wonderful experience but $149 for every person (children and adults) is wild. My kid and I met 5 princess, and service is definitely 5 stars.

Came here for a brunch with the princesses event. This review is more for the event than the restaurant itself. If the format remains how we experienced it, then the high price per person isn’t really worth it if you’re not here with kids. As 2 adults we thought we’d have fun too, but the interaction you get to have with princesses is quite limited. You have to leave your food & drinks to go outside to wait in line to interact with different princesses. Unavoidably, everything gets cold when you get back. The food offerings also didn’t make up for the price in terms of options and variety, but all their berries tasted fantastic! Slightly sad that in the end, all kids get a takeaway gift, and only the bill for adults as souvenirs…

Great food, amazing service, well overpriced. $100 for a sample dinner is a little steep. Try not to be seated close to the open kitchen, it is incredibly loud there.

Strolled into Napa Rose for dinner while at Disney for a work conference. I had the best time due to the bartender, Joe. He makes GREAT drinks and is fun and kind. As for the food, it was good not great. It seems as though there is a lot of potential that falls to the waist side. Specifically the fish was over cooked, so much so I had to send it back twice and than ended up with the food I took a photo with. Again, there is a lot of potential for the food but wasn’t as great as it could have been.

The food was good, but not what I would have expected for the price. Just tell yourself that you're paying for the experience, not the food. Overall, it was a good experience, the food was good, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Very accommodating of vegetarians. Surprisingly loud for a high price hotel restaurant. We tried the tasting menu and wine pairings. The wines were mostly domestic. Went on a saturday night in February many of the tables included children. Busy but not over crowded.

Had a wonderful dinner here while staying at the Grand Californian. The food was superb! Service was good but not great, but the ambience could have been more refined. Too bright lights and noisy. They did offer corkage of GHR wine we brought for $25 per bottle. Again, the food was excellent and worth the fairly high prices.

E
Eddie Martinez

A really nice event to take any princess fans! The down side is that it's $125 per person that includes kids. So it can add up really quick. For the price I was expecting a better buffet. The beef was salty, the bacon looked like it had been sitting there all morning, and the eggs were more like mashed potatoes. I know the main event is the princess but how can you let the main event of the buffet be the fruit? The appetizer tower and the dessert plate (pictures here) were really good. They really just need to work on the buffet.

Seafood paella at Napa Rose. No complaints on quality of food, the service, and ambience. All of it was five stars. But bring your wallet because it’s not cheap. And if you’re looking for quantity over quality, this isn’t it either. More of a place to drink and have fine cuisine then get a big dinner.

We went here for drinks after we had dinner. We sat at the bar area and were shortly joined by a family with 5 young children. In the bar area... The decor was dated but very clean. They had fire pits outside. The wine was delicious and they had a few selections of sauvignon blanc. We ended up ordering the brownie for 10 bucks that was "off menu". It was good but nothing to write home about. Fine experience but I'll try someplace else next time.

Thrilling to get a reservation for the Princess Breakfast here during a brief visit to California earlier this year. Selection was fairly ample with a beautiful presentation. They had vegetarian and vegan selections which was appreciated. Princesses were super and very interactive. Being breakfast and not being a coffee person, I was looking forward to having a cup of tea. Unfortunately that was not possible as to make a black tea, such as English Breakfast, boiling water is required. It is a chemical reaction that, if you are a tea drinker, you understand. Evidently, it is not possible to get boiling water at Napa Rose. The waiter was very sympathetic about the problem and said he had similar complaints before but he wasn't able to get boiling water. So, an elegant and expensive Character Breakfast is not able to provide the basic ingredient for tea. I can imagine there could be safety concerns in having boiling water. However restaurants all over the world manage to provide boiling water for tea, why not Napa Rose? Really found that frustrating.

Top quality ingredients. Professional preparation and presentation. Nice decor. Pleasant and attentive staff. Prices are on the higher side but inline with the quality. Deserts are amazing. Can be quite noisy so a quiet romantic dinner where you whisper sweet nothings isn’t going to happen. There is a “reasonable” dress code so be aware. 5 hours of validated self parking is available with dinner so no need to feel rushed and leaves time to enjoy the Grand Californian lobby or Downtown Disney shopping. They’re only open for dinner and special Princess brunch on the weekend.

Great service at Napa Rose. I ordered the prefix menu which included an Ahi Cappacio, Lobster Welch, Salmon and cherry dessert. The ahi and lobster were the standouts in this course offering. The salmon was decent but I felt like the dish had too many competing flavors. My partner ordered the filet which was cooked perfectly. The chocolate indulgence dessert was very good.

The food was great but we were stuck in a part of the restaurant that felt like an afterthought, in the lounge area, next to the check in desk, feeling the constant draft of the door. (Despite making reservations months in advance) It took two hours from sitting down to the main course which we also didn't expect. Of course a high end restaurant has longer pauses between courses but this was a bit excessive and I wonder if we were forgotten because we were outside of the main area of the restaurant. I was still hungry when we left, which I didn't have last time we dined here. The server was friendly and the food was good but it did feel far from the fine dining experience we had last year when we visited the restaurant. Supposedly there is a dress code but I think less than a quarter of guests aren't in t-shirts so don't bother. I think you can (and should) expect more from a restaurant where you pay hundreds of dollars for a meal.

I went to the princess breakfast as an adult and it is wayyyy over priced. For two adults with tip $320. It wasn’t worth it at all. The pastries at the beginning were great. The buffet food was ok… mostly cold nothing tasted fresh besides the fruit. The dessert was ok too. Nothing extravagant. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend as an adult brunch.

The Shrimp is really good. However give overall 3 star due to the bad services (including the manager). Very very very slow on the payment (which they took 30 mins to process and they are not apologetic at all) caused us missed out firework.. despite we chase them to be faster, they still very slow and not apologetic.

It’s alright. I would give the place 4 stars if the food was on par with the price. It was deserving of a $200 tab but ran $300. Food surprisingly under seasoned and overcooked meat and undercooked vegetables. Also, sat us in the bar area when we had reservations months in advance for the restaurant. Dined at 5:30 so place was empty, but still sat us in bar even after commenting we would prefer the dining room. Just not worth it honestly. Go to Flemings down the road for exceptional food and service.

Princess Breakfast quite disappointed and extremely low value for what you paid(which is ~$150 per person + tip. Pros: Service and pastries are really good. Princesses are nice and friendly. You actually get time one on one. Cons: FOOD!! There is literally NO options beyond, eggs, bacon, sausages, and couple other things is. Is like buffet for this price should be richer and full of options. Very dissatisfied with the food.

Came after the refurbishment, and as someone who had gone several times throughout the years was looking forward to it, could not have been more disappointed. The food was drenched in lemon oil or truffle oil, oversalted or left to age under the lamp. Wagyu was poorly cut, fish was rubbery. Over two hours in and we still had not gotten our entree. They could not locate two different bottles of wine we requested from their list. When someone in our party voiced their displeasure with a dish there was no effort made to make it right. Place is nothing like the jewel it used to be.

Five stars on Sunday night; one star on Wednesday...what a difference (!). The server can make/break the experience... TL/DR: Sunday night's server left us with a warm glow and pleasant memories. Wednesday night's server left us feeling bitter and let-down...Same restaurant! Sunday night we had a wonderful (non sommelier) server who was attentive and engaging/enthusiastic about the wine. Took him up on suggested tastings and grateful that we did (despite bringing our own bottle of Chianti). Thanks to him, we tried some new wines and found a gem (2013 Alban, Syrah). What a treat! Wednesday night, we had a very late reservation time and our server (touted as one of Napa Rose's three level 3 sommeliers) was always polite and gracious. However, nearing end of meal time and last course he disappeared for about 20min, as we watched him chat it up with a big-top of loud guests nearby. Finally, a food runner figures out that our desserts had been languishing in the pass and decided to plop them down in front of us with a mumble/grunt...and still, our sommelier/server is yakking it up a few feet away while we (and another table behind us who appears to be getting visibly annoyed as well) are ignored... Our server continued to ignore us. Minutes later, he then stops by to obsequiously ask of we "wanted anything with dessert..." No suggestions, nothing for almost 30min while we waited for some cold apple tart to be dropped off, no offer of coffee service or dessert/digestif/cocktail menu in concert with a verrrry delayed dessert delivery. And to top it off, no less...All during this delay, we get to watch cooks start breaking down the kitchen; staff are hard at work breaking down tables, doing side work, resetting everything for the next day service, dusting/wiping/changing linens/heaping plates clattering...all around us. We (and the table behind) just sat there, invisible as the restaurant staff are hustling on all sides. It was surreal, at almost $150/person, (and we would have spent more on coffee/cocktail/digestif..had it been offered with a modicum of punctuality). As wine amateurs (not snobs), we were unable to wrap our tiny brains around the service disconnect from our sommelier/server. We thought maybe we had offended him by bringing in our own bottle? Or, maybe our guy accurately had us pegged as "not big spenders" (true)...Regardless, we did tip our awesome Sunday night server $80 because of his exceptional service. Begrudgingly, we gave our Wednesday night sommelier server a generous 20% tip despite the fact that, while starting out strong, he did not finish the service well...it was embarrassing actually. I'm sure he had his reasons. Acknowledged: COVID has made it super tough on ppl working in services. We get it (having worked as servers too).

I recently dined at Napa Rose, and I have to say, it was a huge letdown. I had high expectations given its reputation, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. For the prices they charge, I expected something spectacular. Instead, the dishes were revolting and nauseating both to look at and taste. The portion sizes were laughably small for the price tag—definitely not worth it. Furthermore, you would be better off buying desert from anywhere else in Disneyland. The desert that was served at Napa Rose was somehow worse than the starters and mains. The hot chocolate that was served served came with a skin and there was no discernible orange flavor despite the menu stating that it comes with an "almond orange kringle." The service was almost equally disagreeable. Indeed, the waitstaff took upwards of three hours in order to server our desired meals and kept on pressuring us to order alcoholic beverages while we waited. The only thing the service seemed to be efficient at was clearing our plates. Finally, the atmosphere was unpleasant. The lights were far too bright to have a pleasant conversation, and distasteful music played in the background. This experience is certainly not worth your money. You would be better off ordering room service or buying fast food than dining at this ostentatious, pompous restaurant.
