This review is for the entire area around Strandperle including the boardwalk and restaurant/bar scene. I went on a sunny, beautiful Thursday and it was very lively and clearly a big hit with both locals and visitors. It's also close to Ferry 62 which takes you back into Hamburg Landbrucken area so very convenient as well. FABULOUS spot. Highly recommend.

Overcrowded... Even today we're just entering spring, I don't want to imagine summer! It will probably be crazy! **I** like crowded, it gives you a chance to meet other people. If you don't like crowded you won't like it. There's 3 or 4 places where you can get food and drinks, but they all have lines (it's crowded, remember?) there's also toilets... The view is beautiful especially if the weather is nice. A lot of sand as well. The beach is down a hill, so when you leave you have to climb back up... There are beautiful views from the stairways that go down the hill. Many people play games on the beach, you can join them or bring your own as well. Great place for a picnic. There are no sunscreens or umbrellas (except for one of the beer places).

A restaurant in front of the Elbe. The quality of food is nice and you can order & pay online at ease. I had a salmon bread, which was absolutely beyond my expectation. It is indeed crowded on the weekend but if you get a seat somewhere close to the beach, you are not too much bordered.

I would say this one is pretty Epic! I guess the most recognisable place on the beach in Hamburg! Great location a bit further from a downtown. They offer plenty options of drinks and food! Incredibly beautiful views, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices! It’s definitely a Hidden Gem in the City!

Went around 9:30pm on a Friday night and found a table immediately. Tried their Matjesbrotchen (fish sandwich), which is so unique and delicious. The salted herring was out of this world tender and flavourful. The sauce was sweet and crunchy from the onions and diced apples. The bun was hearty and helped balance the saltiness from the fish. What a delightful expensive. So satisfying. Definitely worth trying when you’re in Hamburg cause there’s nothing else like it anywhere. The pommes (fries) were potato heaven. It’s the best of both worlds between chips and fries. Outside is nice and crispy while still being fluffy. Tried the truffle mayo and it is not worth the €1.50. Round it off with an astra bier and you’ve got yourself the perfect meal. Fishy carb heaven. Total came to €14.50. So much food for such an affordable price! And you get an amazing view of the colourful port. This is my go-to place whenever I’m back in Hamburg.

Impressed by food options and execution. I know this place for a long time. I often bought a bottle of Astra and watching the ships and breathing the oil-heavy air of the busy shipyards and the polluted river dreamed of a life in foreign countries. 30 years later the river is cleaned up, most ships don't make it that far any more, most cranes are silent and the hole in the wall is a pretty snazzy place on the beach. Prizes are a little high but the service was friendly and attentive and the view over the Elbe river and harbor is well worth the expense.

Lugar espectacular para contemplar la actividad del puerto de Hamburgo al pié de una playa creada en la margen derecha del Elba, pasado Altona. Recomendable hacer la excursión hasta aquí en la línea 62 del transporte público de pasajeros. La terraza, a nada que salga un rayo de sol es muy agradable y se llena de gente para tomar una cerveza o comer algo... este fue mi caso. Tomé un plato de la especialidad local Frikadelle, pero en una receta marroquí, lo que me inspiró más confianza y efectivamente así fue. Se trató de unas albóndigas con toque de curry sobre una cama de unos granos de pasta de la forma y tamaño del arroz, excelentes. Servicio muy agradable. Sólo falta que ofrezcan wifi para obtener la máxima puntuación.

El sitio es muy agradable y la comida aunque es un poco cara está muy buena. El pedido se ha de hacer vía online, y es un lío la verdad. Si quieres que te atienda una persona tendrás que esperar un buen rato. El ambiente y paisaje es genial pero huele un poco mal por el río y porque hay gente fumando 🌿🌿. Vale la pena ir porque está muy bueno y se está muy relajado, pero es algo caro y tiene sus inconvenientes.

Buen lugar en la playa del rio Elba. Bastante agradable para comer o tomar algo con las mesas en la misma arena. Atención con QR que se paga directo desde el teléfono, hace bastante cómodo y fácil pedir. Precios algo elevados para la calidad y porción de comida.

Me gusto mucho ese lugar, y más que todo me gustó su vista al río

A must go to when in Hamburg, despite of London like prices and not exactly a gourmet temple. But the views, service and atmosphere are great.

We stopped by in the late afternoon — simply because I was in the mood for a good ol’ fried fish. And what can I say? Mission accomplished. Crispy, flavorful, just right. The remoulade sauce was spot-on, and the potato salad? Solid. Nothing spectacular, but it held its ground. The view is lovely, the atmosphere laid-back, and the prices are what you’d expect in Hamburg — not cheap, but fair. The entire ordering process is digitalized, which is fine in theory. But here’s the catch: you’re prompted for a tip straight away, even though no one’s actually taken your order. The service is pretty hands-off, and for someone who’s worked decades in hospitality, it leaves a slightly strange aftertaste. That said, when a staff member did swing by the table, they were friendly and professional. All in all, tasty food and a nice spot. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

A great place to chill and do the vesselwatching. Cargo ships, cruise liners, duty boats. Amazing. You can enjoy a cup of coffee, or a beer in a cafe. Some nice snacks too. Could be crowded at the weekends. The only thing to mind: the sand could be quite dirty and, which is dangerous, with pieces of broken glass. So one should take care.

Slow service but a beautiful view makes up for it. The staff is very nice though. They charge 50 cents for the toilet, which is a bit odd considering they have a table service.

Very nice location near the river, the view is excellent and the choice of beers are also good. Weekends can get crowded. But their service is fine.

Nice cake :) We went there for coffee and it’s a bit disappointing in this place… I mean it’s a coffee from coffee express for a price of a barista coffee 😅 Recommended to visit and chill and get some nice view and tan 😅 Not recommended for a coffee though

Nice place to visit during sunny summer days.. It is easy to take the boat from city center (boat is in every 20-30 minutes during weekend).. After a boat trip around half an hour you are there.. Nice streets in the village takes you to the beach.. Not very convenient for swimming because the rocky ground at the lake.. Nice place for the kids to play in the sand... I took a pizza there.. Was not very deliciois but pizza is pizza :)
