Great place but line was long maybe it was the van stuffed with people that overwhelmed the employees when they ordered but i waited 30 mins 2nd and they forgot what i orderd and they asked what i wanted so i told them they gave me sonthing els. And small fry and large drink its all good tho they forgot if i payed asked and I wasnt gonna pay for that so i got a free meal thabks
We stopped there on our way to North cal , our order took 5-6 minutes , food was hot and fresh , restaurant was clean as well the bathrooms

I haven't been here in over 4 years. The food menu have improved a lot. Last weekend (Jan. 27/28, 2017) I had 2 meals from here... I had a Taco Salad bowl to go to take it to Buttonwillow for lunch. It was actually _amazing_. Lots of food, decent amount of meat, and the taco bowl was crunchy, flavorful and tasty. All for sub $6.50. A great deal in my opinion. I also had the grass fed beef burger meal with fries and a coke. That's a little more but still sub $8.50. That meal I ate on site. Service was friendly and fast and the restaurant looks well managed. One of the best Carl's Jr. restaurant I've been to actually. I've probably been to about a dozen of different Carl's Jr's in my life... bath room is nice and clean. Even the cleaning girl was friendly and smiley. full 5 stars from me.
Came in for a bite after a long day, 9pm but they were busy. Never the less the place was clean, the staff was very friendly and the prime rib burger i ordered was very tasty. I complimented the manager on his staff and their service. Keep up the good work, it was a pleasant experience after a long day. Thank you.
Stop to get a burger for breakfast before getting to work one of my favorite spots to stop to get something to eat and might I add great service from Silvia always with a good attitude and a great smile 😁
I’m an EMT so I live off a lot of fast food. My German Shepherd is normally a barker at drive-thrus. We pulled up the guy was so sweet my dog didn’t even bark and I said he must have been a dog person. He turned around and the guy had a patty for my dogs!! I have NEVER had someone go out of their way like that! He was such a sweetheart I wish I would have gotten his name. Thanks for being so kind and making our road trip tolerable for my pups. Food was great. Customer service even better. He deserves a raise.

Todays initial visit to this store was Amazing! From start to finish. Where do I begin? The staff and service was exceptional. Meal was made to perfection. Store was immaculate from the cleanliness of the dining room, to the restroom. One HUGE key to this restaurants success is the MANAGER SILVIA her attention and dedication to ensure not only my visit but that of others as customers/consumers was phenomenal. She provided the most exceptional quality service that I can ensure not only meets but exceeds that of the Carls Jr commitment. Hope this reaches to higher management to ensure they VALUE her dedication & commitment she’s truly one of a kind.

OMG! The new XL burger is HUGE, feeds two easy! Forget the combo deal it's 8$ more. For 5.99 this is an incredible burger, for 10$ this is a great burger! Go get it now for 5.99!!!

The restrooms were surprisingly clean and the restaurant was packed with people! This place is a very popular restaurant for a break on the road. The ladies they did almost I did forget a couple of our menu items but we will let it slide since we caught it. Food looks good and fresh.
Surprisingly good road food for a place called Lost Hills. Fresh crispy romaine lettuce, juicy tomatoes and onion on our burger and spicy chicken sandwich. May 12 night crew did great.

We had two orders for a group total of five. Food was hot. I ordered a green burrito and it came grilled and broken, on my receipt as grilled. My friend ordered there food and part of it came out. They had also ordered a green burrito ,which they had gotten up to check on ,and it was just sitting there on their counter.
My previous experiences with Carl's Jr had not been so good, but Silvia changed that, very friendly and excellent service
My chicken sandwich was pretty good. Crispy with good flavor. My partners tostada was good enough to take half of it home.
This place does work efficiently although slow given the staffing issue that this place has unfortunately. I felt bad for the clerk because people were getting impatient with her. Food qaulity matches all the other locations I've been to nothing wrong about that. Atmosphere was mid qaulity like lots of the locations so id ive the same rating to the other locations.
The burgers are well worth the price. Pretty good for fast food. We don't have Carl's Jr in our area so we had it 2 times in 10 days while away! The fries are also good. We got a large size to share but they could've filled the box a bit more. I will definitely be back!
This was a pretty nice visit but when you enter the bathroom and see bags over urinals... a 5-star is no longer possible. Also, the trash can in the men's room looks like it has never ever been cleaned. Also, the sink looked like it came straight out of a prison cell. The food was good. The service was acceptable. The men's room was disgustingly poorly maintained.
Cold fries..! Sandwich was on point, but fries were cold. I only walked to the truck...is the heat lamp on. Im from out of town, so I can't come back or get my money back. If we all start paying with a credit card instead if a debit card and dispute the charges....maybe u will start paying attention!
Been there a few times when passing through on vocation, 1st time took 20 minutes to get our food for 2 and there was only 2 others in there. 2nd time over charged by almost 10 bucks. Found out only after on the Interstate 5 third time another 20min. Never again for us
For a fast food place not near any cities it was fair. Floors were a bit dirty and the whole place could stand a spiffing up. Staff were most friendly and courteous, burgers and fries were decent, iced tea was fine.
I asked for a famous star meal with an additional famous star burger. The cashier gave me a double famous star double famous burger combo with an additional double famous burger. We didn't realized the mix up until after we had gotten on the road. Then we realized why it cost so much.

Kinda out of the way at this stop along I-5, but we felt like some of their gigantic waffle fries. Yup, it's the waffle fries that drew us in versus the many ither fast food places at this stop.
It was a mixed bag. The food was good as far as fast food goes. It wasn't busy, but it took 20 minutes to get our food. We ordered inside and it seemed like the whole crew was confused with every order. Interesting to watch, but unfortunately took way to long.
Order for 3 came quickly and everything was correct. Bathroom is a bit dated and dingy but, not nearly as bad as other places. There's plenty of places where you figure the establishment looks nice so the bathroom should be ok....get inside and...YIKES! Everyone knows the bathroom is key on road trips.

With about four or five cars in front of me in the Drive-Thru it took about 25 minutes for me to get my food. I had a 7 minute window where I could have backed up drove away went somewhere else. In fact the car in front of me eventually end up jumping the cement curb just so they could leave. I would have gave this place one star if it hadn't been that my hamburger was nice and warm and almost perfectly made and my onion rings were not over cooked. That's why they got two stars.
I recently visited Carl’s Jr. and had an unpleasant experience with their drinks. They tasted terrible, almost like they were moldy. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, they mentioned that the CO2 filter was faulty. While the customer service was fine and they explained the issue politely, I was still disappointed that they were serving drinks with this problem. I would have appreciated a bit more care in ensuring the beverages were safe and enjoyable. Hopefully, they fix the issue soon, but it left a bad impression on this visit.
The famous cheese burger was terrible. No flavor, and a soggy mess. Had two bites and tossed it. Fries were so salty couldn't even eat them. Chicken strips and shake where good. But what a waste of $23!

The chicken sandwich was merely warm the bun wasn't even heated. Ahhh and the bathroom..... was so dirty it made me question whether or not I should eat the sandwich in fear of what the kitchen looked liked. More effort is defiantly needed in that Carl's Jr.
Probably one of the worst locations I've been to. Service is totally awful. Bathroom dirty. Soda machine was broken so you have to wait for the one employee working to get a drink. Avoid.
Disappointed! I showed up to get some breakfast and they said they weren’t opened till 6, so I waited till six and the lady said no we don’t open till later. I was like what!?!? You door is labeled at 6am so open at 6!! So yeah didn’t have my breakfast burger.
Absolutely will NOT ever be coming here again. They took 19 minutes to make our order, I would say complete, but they messed it up. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 chicken sandwiches.. no combos and the only request was NO MAYO/onion on the teriyaki.. gave 3 napkins and wasted 2 on the onions and the lettuce that was engulfed in mayo. The meat patties were not fresh; however, the spicy chicken was. The music in the seating area was distorted and while I began to get frustrated on waiting for my to go order someone else discovered their soda machine was empty.. not sure how that happens. The girl who took my order moved like a sloth. When an order was ready it had to wait for her to finish taking an order before shs would put it together, most places have someone assisting in that. She had no issues putting in orders into the system, just didn't know what goes on them so God forbid you ask what goes in a sandwich. We only went inside because the drive through was long. We originally planned on going somewhere else, but they had a long line and honestly I wish we had just stuck with our original choice. I've worked in fast food before and seeing such low standards was mind blowing considering this is a heavy traffic stop for truckers and people traveling... needless to say.. lessen learned.
You know, I used to really like CJ's but after my experience at the lost hills Carl's Jr. I may never eat there again. Service was abysmal, the bathroom was so dirty I thought about peeing outside next to the dumpster where it smelled better, and to top off my dining experience was a cold burger that tasted like it had been dropped in dirty mop water and used to clean tables! However, since the tables were a mess as well I knew that wasn't the case. But, since I still handed over the 12 dollar's for this work of culinary insults, maybe it's my fault... P.s. my coke was pretty good tho:)
Terrible. Took 20mins to get food. Cashier didn't enter the right order, hence screwed it up. Fries were cold. Bathrooms were gross. Condiments were not stocked. Then, they made it seem like I ordered the wrong thing. Took them another 15 mins to get me the right burger. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Go to Wendy's across the street instead.
If I could give zero stars I would, walked in and there was a huge line and the employees were yelling at one another while we were waiting to order. Then I go to order and find out they are out of every item. When I proceeded to order the employee kept entering in the wrong items, so I had to verify 3 times what I was ordering. Next, I go to grab a soda from the machine and find out that they are out of all soda but continued to sell me a soda?? When brought up to an employee they told me I should’ve checked first. Finally, went to use the restroom and every stall was out of order in the womens. The restaurant should be condemned it was so bad.
It is fast food. You get what you pay for but this time around the BLT Ranch fried chicken sandwich was so dry, cold & so sloppily put together I threw it out after 3 bites. Ranch is the sauce? More like mayo (yes, I know mayo is used to make ranch). I usually like their fried chicken sandwiches but they genuinely have gone down hill. Not just this location, most locations. I do not eat fast food much but on long road trips it sometimes is the only option and I can say this trip was not good in the least bit.
Stopped by twice in one day. First time service was good. Second time employees extremely unprofessional, cussing in spanish, hitting each other(smacking each other's back). An employee couldn't tell if boy or girl, was talking about taking an order once when he/she was in the restroom.
Our family loves Carls Jr. HOWEVER This place is the worst Carl's Jr I have ever been too. Trash is over flowing even in the bathrooms. Bathrooms are disgusting, tables weren't clean, soda machine was completely out of soda, floors we're disgusting. This place needs to be deep cleaned and someone needs to pay attention to this store. The employees we're just horrible, very unfriendly and unwilling to help. We frequent Pismo Beach often, this place will no longer be on our list of stops to make.
They cant even give you the right sauce. I wanted the fiery chicken tenders and they said it was just the sauce so I was like "ok". They didn't even give me the fiery sauce. They didn't even let me pick a sauce. They just put house dressing in the bag. I didn't have a salad why am I being given a freaking dressing?????? Completely incompetent.

Drive thru was closed. Came inside and ordered. Three employees yet fries were cold and hard, burger patties were cold and the bacon was unedible super soggy. Threw away receipt before leaving so couldn't do the survey.
FLIESSSS........ I've never seen so many flies in one facility, how is this not a violation of the health code. I counted around 53 flies my kids and I made it a game to count them. Cashier's can't take an order and management has to be stopped to assist the cashier working the front counter!!!!! This job can't be that hard and why aren't these flies being delt with?
My experience was horrible. I left my purse at this restaurant and I was upset that I forgot to take my purse with me after eating lunch. I called this restaurant thousand times and no one picked up the phone. Then I found out that someone stole my purse and used all my credit cards. This person who stole my purse has no empathy and that was disrespectful. I will never trust this restaurant due to horrible customer service and no live person answering the phone. Please don't stop by this restaurant.
Literally the most disgusting experience I was given 2 sides of ranch both of which had been used. I threw out my food because who knows what was done to it
I have traveled a lot and met many people all over the world in my life, but no one quite as unpleasant as the manager of this store. The rest of the staff was very nice. I asked the cashiers if the manager was as rude to them as she had been to my 6 year old kid, and the look on their face said it all, despite the fact they were too terrified of her hearing them to utter any kind of response. As a bonus, the bathroom was dirty and as far as low end fast food goes the food wasn't great either unless you like mold. There are many other options for junk food in the immediate vicinity of this particular Carl's Jr. and I would recommend any one of them over this place.
First of all, I love me a Super Star with cheese. But they have mice in there. Seriously. On 5-20-2024 at 1049 hours, ticket #30. My wife and daughter were ordering, when a forward observer or reconnaissance mouse low crawled across the counter in an obvious attempt to resupply his squad. Where there is one mouse, there are others plotting an ambush. The on duty employee spotted the mouse but allowed it to continue without challenge. It seemed a common practice. They should teach the employees here in counter mouse surveillance and intelligence. All she did was hand my wife the bag of food as if she expected us to eat it. But where there is a squad of mice, there is mouse feces and other debris. Obviously suffering from fog of war, my wife walked out dazed. After rallying the family and planning a counter attack, without regard for her own safety, she exposed herself to further mouse contact and heroically entered the danger zone to secure a refund. Her actions are commendable and in keeping with the highest traditions of family service and sanitation. She was awarded with a burger from a neutral, nearby establishment. As for the mouse, it continued its patrol inside the wire of the Carls Junior.
Menu shows the wrong sandwich next to the meals. Therefore, I thought I ordered a different sandwich. No ice for drinks and the employees know but still let people order. Employees are rude and don’t care for their customer. Our food tasted over cooked and our sodas were flat without any ice and they had a weird taste to them. We didn’t even finish our food and left. Carl’s Jr. used to be so good not anymore.
Poor decision #1: Not waiting the 30 minutes at Denny's for a hot breakfast. Poor decision # 2: Thinking that we could go to Carl's Jr, order off the menu hanging above the counter, and have those items available/enjoyable. We both wanted biscuits and gravy, which was on the menu, but unavailable at their location?!? Then take it off the menu. Tape over it, which is less tacky then the rest of the experience. So we ordered other breakfast items that ended up being very dry. That's why biscuits go so well with gravy, I guess. They have one of those elaborate Coke machines where you can combine one of the many flavors into one of the many soda choices. It is only fun if the options are really there. There was Coke or Mello Yellow, and one or two flavors to add. Most options were unavailable, and I bet Coke customer service doesn't approve of that either. Really slow service. Employees not wearing masks, most other customers not wearing masks. Unsafe environment + mediocre food = go elsewhere.
Service is good food is ok. However the funky fancy soda machine was broken and it was leaking soda on to the floor and it was definitely a safety issue due to high traffic around it. They finally got a kid with mop to start cleaning up the floor. The restroom was a mess especially the sink. I wonder, don't these people have any pride in their product 🤔? Obviously is all about the money.
I went to the drive-through it took forever to get my order. Then my order was wrong, but the worst part was when I was a few bites into my burger, and I bit into and pulled out a long hair from my mouth!! Super disgusting I am repulsed and will never go to the Carl’s Jr. in lost Hills again!!
The people who work here are rude and incompetent. They rung up the wrong burger, after she read me back the correct one. I had to turn around on highway come back and then she refunded me the money for wrong burger and made me pay $1 more for correct burger. The customer service here is atrocious, visit any other Carl’s on the 5 except this one.
Food was old and cold. Fries so bad I couldn't eat them. Old patties on the burger,cold and dry. Best part of 14.00 meal, the diet coke.
Dirty restrooms. Grand daughter could not use either stall in women's restroom as toilet seats were dirty and only one stall in men's restroom had toilet paper. The resteraunt was fine but travelling with kids makes restrooms important.
We stopped here on our journey back home. The bathroom was less than clean. There was toilet paper everywhere except where it should be. The first stall toilet was backed up and the floor was flooded all the way to the last handicap stall. It was busy so that might be why no one had time to tend to the bathroom. The service was pretty quick and friendly. Not the best experience overall.
This was my first time eating at a Carl's Jr. Its Hardee's where im from. I tell you I never want to go to another Carl's Jr ever. For one the prices are way too high. 8$ for 3 piece tenders is just ridiculous. They wasn't fresh and were very hard an dry. The restaurant its self was dirty and the atmosphere lacking energy. The guy at the front desk did let me try some lemonade before I bought it. Overall I wasn't satisfied and felt like it was a waste of hard earned money.
Went through drive through in the morning. Wasn’t acknowledged waiting at the order screen for 15 minutes. Pulled up to the window to ask what’s going on as they were just standing around. I asked if they had a burrito they said they were out of gravy. I asked if they had sausage and was told it’s now 11 so I can’t order that anymore. I said well I have been waiting to order and talking to you for the last 15/20 minutes so that seems crazy just because the clock hit 11. They were very rude and didn’t want to work. Management need to look at their employees who works at night they close the restaurant early and if u try to order it from drive thru window then they gonna say that u need to have car to order a food i have never seen this in my entire life till tonight they are so lazy tht they couldnt even lemme order the food… and now i have to sleep hungry…
Please for the love of God do yourself a favor and go to a different Carl's Junior restaurant I placed an order on the app, I'm a truck driver and I didn't realize that I was placing the order at the wrong restaurant. When I realized I was at the wrong restaurant I immediately started calling the restaurant I placed the order actually too to try to have them cancel the order however nobody answered the phone so I went ahead and paid for the food at the restaurant I was actually at and I eventually got a hold of the restaurant and the food was actually made at and the lady said that I'm just out of luck there's nothing she can do I'm just burnt on my money. How in the world are they going to tell me that they can't give me a refund if I never got the food Blanca the manager has the worst attitude of any customer service person I've ever known in my life white Southern told her that she's going to lose my business and two other of my co-workers business we stopped there literally every other day to get dinner and she's going to lose our business if she doesn't make this right and she doesn't care she's willing to lose customers to not do what's right it just blows me away that knowing I didn't get the food and they got my money she won't give me the food and there's no way to get ahold of Carl's Junior there's no phone number there's no email address nothing
This place is absolutely horrible. The order was completely wrong, the food was cold and the restaurant dining area was a mess. To top it all off they will rip you off! I ordered 2 chicken star kids meals and paid $13 each! When I asked the manager why so much, she said because I ordered the 6 piece and because I wanted a small fountain drink for the meal. I thought the kids' meal came with my choice of drink? And when I ordered the kids' meals, she asked if I wanted the 6 or 8 piece never mentioned the 4. The peice kids combo is $7.99. So I basically paid double for both. Never again stopping here, even though the owners own the entire rest stop at Lost Hills.
Far and away the most DISGUSTING place I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating at. At 1 am this was the only choice. After walking in the smell hits you. Just musty and greasy and gross. I ordered and got my drink. The root beer was oddly salty, so I got sprite. It was worse. More salty and just weird tasting. I went to the bathroom to was my hands. No soap!! How can you run a food establishment and have NO SOAP!!! Left the bathroom feeling more gross. Got out of the bathroom and just left. Screw it. I can’t eat here. If they can’t bother to keep soap in bathrooms, I can’t and won’t eat here. Don’t get me started on the class act that took my order. I can overlook a dirty floor, salty drinks.. but as I was walking out i was watching a guy making food scratching his back under his shirt and go to wrapping a burger. Nope. The bathroom pictures still gross me out. I bet you a million dollars it’s still just as nasty there
We missed McDonald’s and ended up here. It was actually my first time eating at Carl’s Jr. and I was surprised to see how expensive the menu items were. It’s not like Carl’s Jr. is a cut above the other fast food joints—not to me, anyway. There was nothing wrong with the location. Service was decent and the restrooms were clean. The food also tasted alright. It’s just that I can’t justify the price for this kind of food, which isn’t anything particular. You can get a more well-balanced meal at a proper restaurant for these prices. Sadly, not good value. If I want to ruin my health, I want to do it cheaply.
One of the worst fast food restaurants on the planet. I generally like Carl's Junior. The person taking orders is completely devoid of ability to communicate. Very weak voice, but also they sound like they have marbles in their mouth. Last time I stopped there, 3/18/2023, I ordered two tacos. the sign was not in good shape and the price that appeared t be $1.49 for small tacos was in line with Del Taco, etc. And we could not understand when the order taker said the total. Also, we asked for soft shells; It took a couple of tries; but we were assured we would get soft shells. We were stunned when the total was $7.89 - for two tiny tacos! But the person at the window had us move to the lot in front of the building where he was going to give us our order; even though no one else was in line. Less than a minute later, he came out with a bag that had to weigh less than 6 ounces. Inside was an aluminum foil pack with two tiny tacos. The shells were hard and burned; and hot sauce was already on the tacos. Took a few bites and tossed them We now wonder if the tacos wee from a food truck, made up in advance by an employee, and the order taker was doing a side business! And he sent us to the front lot to do the deed out of view of the store window cam. Still - awful place - avoid it.
Don’t order combo. Even better, don’t visit this horribly managed store. They deliberately do not put in the soda syrup so that you can only choose the drink they want you to choose, which some sort of sparkling water. Everyone trying to get soda would stare at the menu on the soda machine in astonishment for 5 minutes to find a button to press because of the lack of choice. The funniest thing is that there is a sign, right beside the soda machine that says.”Your Voice Matters”. The food is also handled in a sloppy way. Visit at you own risk. This is the absolute worst fast food store I have ever visited in 35 years.
Their drive thru was closed, their soda machines empty and my sprite was brown, the female workers having very inappropriate conversations and worried more about them being late to a party instead of focusing on the huge line they have and they had nothing not one thing available for greenburrito. Definitely need new management because this is very unacceptable! After waiting very long to finally receive our food it looks like they just tossed it in the bag very disappointed!
