Cool atmosphere, karaoke vibes, & the birria tacos are delicious!

Had their papas locas! Preferred the red sauce over the green. But still very delicious. Their chips and salsa were amazing! Not to mention their drinks! The Michelada in those cute cantaritos with Chamoy and tajin was 10/10.

We were looking for authentic Mexican food during our stop on Anthony and were very grateful we stopped at El Jefa! The service was great, the food delicious and the prices were exceptional. I had the Chimi Plate and it came with 2 large green or red chimi’s with rice and beans! It was delicious. Highly recommend!

Great Mexican food. Salsa is chunky and hot. So good. Margaritas were tasty in a unique vessel. The food had a good presentation and generous portion.

Delicious Mexican food with fast and friendly service. This restaurant has ample seating, a separate billiards room, a small bar area, plenty of parking and fun activities like karaoke on the weekends. Now let’s talk about the food. The Quesabirria tacos were so satisfying. They were crunchy, flavor packed and had a bit of a kick to them. They came accompanied by a small/medium sized ramen which was also very flavorful. The Pepe Bol is my mom’s favorite. She loves the flavor of the fideo which comes in a delicious broth that has some cheese in it. The rolled tacos are reminiscent of Chicos Tacos when it comes to flavor. The Caldo de Res was freshly made and had a generous amount of meat in it. The large bowl was way too much for me but would be perfect for the hungry men out there. It was mild in flavor so I did have to add some salt and some of their salsas to better suit my taste but it definitely killed my hangover. Definitely recommend. Each meal comes with a FREE small margarita for you to try, yeah, awesome. The menu is ample, prices are around $10 a plate but they are generous servings. They offer various alcoholic beverages and beers and do have specials. They also have a kids menu. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, music was playing and the decor is fun. If you are on the lookout for some good Mexican food, you’ll find it here.

Laid back, hole in the wall, with awesome mexican food and good atmosphere. Chile had great flavor and heat, beans and rice were mama cooked. Highly recommend!! Definately, kid approved!

The atmosphere is outstanding.. the staff n service is amazing.. definitely get your casino fix while drinking a cold one and have a delicious meal 🤤 They DO HAVE 32oz beer!!! 😱 Check it out!!! Only me and 1 other dude. Course there was a dust storm afoot. Stopped in for a beer or 3 and staff was attentive. Otherwise spent their time cleaning. Whole restaurant smelled immaculate in the non-food but clean way. Would recommend. Will stop in again when in the area.

The food was great! I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos they came with 4 tacos and a side of Ramen consome for the tacos! I was full just by eating 3 of them. That day we also got complimentary margaritas don't know if that is something they do every Friday though. Their menu items were named in a very comical way. The decor of the place was real 16th of September and they had music paying as well. Overall very good experience will definitely be going again!

Great place to eat. Went in on the weekend and they had free margaritas. The pork steak and menudo tasted like home cooking! Friendly staff!!

I am always looking for the best Menudo in town and testing new locations. I go out of my comfort zone to locate good menudo. This place is not the place. It was lacking taste. My intent is not to insult anyone. I may be way off, but it was neck to neck with Juanita's canned menudo with a slight added spice to it. I am confident that ordering this with an excruciating headache, this menudo will do the job. Menudo is tricky and we all have our biases and preferences, I understand.

It was OK, nothing special. Margaritas were warm even with ice in it. Food was decent. First waitress didn't speak English at all and didn't even understand margarita for my drink order. Luckily 1 waitress did speak English but I had to only talk to her for any orders.
