It is inside Seascape Resort. The outdoor view is great: you can see the waves braking on the beach! The food is good enough (consider: this is a restaurant inside resort). The menu has decent amount of options, not very wide. You get some representatives of types of food. I usually visited for brunch and all the time I asked for "Seascape Benedict" -which I like enough to come back. Price is reasonable. Service is fast and staff are friendly and attentive.

We had a sunset dinner at Sanderlings. The view is so incredible! The appetizer, main courses and desserts were delicious. The atmosphere on the patio is very relaxing and a great place for a nice meal!

Really enjoyed the breakfast outside on the patio today. Great food, views, and service. You can walk down to the beach after to burn off some calories.

Lovely food and drinks, with amazing views over the Pacific. We came here with a local friend and the food delivered on every level. I had the beef, which was seriously tasty and tender - the speed at which it disappeared off my plate was testament to how great this was. The others had the scallops and the halibut and both were also fantastic and can be recommended. The cocktails were also forthcoming and very well received! The only negative to report is that without a reservation - even though the restaurant was virtually empty - they were apprehensive to seat us, and made it seem like they were doing us a favour to be seated.

We had dinner on the patio to see the sunset. Gorgeous views. Our dinner was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely come again.

Stopped there for a late breakfast after walking from New Brighton beach. Sat outside with our dog and enjoyed the view. The prices were very reasonable and we all liked our meals. I had a Denver's omelet, side of very good country hash browns, and toast for $10. Great price considering the view (check out my photos).

yummy…A good dinner. We passed by at about 7 on Wednesday night and I was attracted by its beautiful venue. We ordered jambalaya, fisherman's stew, and ribeye. The seafood is fresh. I like the taste of the food. Besides, including the desserts, two people can eat very full, and the most recommended is the ribeye. Although the process of waiting for the meal was a bit long, the waiter was very enthusiastic and provided us with a heater, and often came to inquire during the meal. In short, I have to say that this is an unforgettable dinner.😃

Came to try their Santa Cruz Burger Week menu and it was amazing! The special prices were really great but can understand their regular prices can get a little high. Everything from the brioche bun burgers to the fresh bread rolls tasted delicious. The service was great and we were offered assistance before it was needed. All around great place and would highly recommend for an upscale dinner setting.

The staff are awesome and food portions hearty. Prices are fair considering where you at. Atmosphere is worth it all. Great place for a date or watch a football game.

An exceptional experience at an exceptional location. The outdoor dining tables provided a magnificent view of the Monterey Bay. The menu is a bit limited, but what they had was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche, salmon, and cioppino. The view and the food were enhanced by the fine cocktails. Desserts were delicious.

We stayed at Seascape and we weren’t sure if we would like eating here because of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. The wagyu was tender and tasty, the Cioppino was flavorful with a little spice, and the clam chowder was delicious.

Sanderlings Restaurant has a gorgeous views on a warm, sunny day. The kind of setting that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the moment. Coastal breeze, relaxed energy, and a space that feels elevated without being stiff. Surprisingly the food was solid across the board. Every protein at our table—steak, chicken, burgers, and fish—was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. The drinks were also solid. Not heavy-handed, but balanced. Could’ve used a bit more punch, but nothing that threw off the experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Staff matched the vibe—welcoming without hovering. Overall: Sanderlings delivers a scenic, well-executed dining experience that’s more than just a pretty view. The kitchen respects the protein, the staff respects the guest, and the drinks hold their own. Worth a visit if you’re in Aptos.

Service was good, they were very busy so it did take a bit of time for our drinks, but we were more than happy to be sitting down outside at a restaurant! Food: was good, not superb. The view was amazing!

Beautiful outdoor sitting area. Ok food, good service. After your meal you can walk to the beach through a beautiful green path. It is quite a walk (with kids) tho. But very worth it.

Very nice hotel resort with a view of the beautiful beach. A relaxed setting and cozy restaurant. The server was pleasant but when we asked if the fish was lightly battered, she said yes but it was not. The fish and chips order was heavily battered and tasted greasy.

Went for Burger week. Burger was ok, looked pretty though. Asked for med, it was very pink. Fries were ok. They had an interesting hot cheese sauce for the fries. Service was fast. Kinda expensive 3 burgers and 2 beers $102.

The view is breathtaking. Beautiful area by the beach, just a bit windy even if it's sunny. Service was great. Very helpful and polite staff, had answers to any question I had. Reason for only 3 stars is from the lack of seasoning and flavor in the food. My family and I came to a Mother's day buffet and were all disappointed. Most of the food was cold and bland. The only food that was warm was the soup and steak. I'm sure the food's temperature would improve on regular occasions but for buffet style, it did not work.

Lets start positive. Outdoor view was amazing over looking the ocean. The food was ok. I asked about the tuna tartar as the picture looked great on the web. Sadly, one of the waiter said that " i wouldnt recommend it". If you wont recommend it for any reason, why have it on the menu? I ordered the crab cakes instead. Whats dissapointing is that, next to the ocean, we were served crab cakes that had imitation crab meat. For $25 dollars?! Couldnt really complain much because although its fake meat, the other components on the dish complemented the dish well. For entree, i ordered steak and frites. Steak was not properly rested and all my fries sucked the juice/ blood of the meat. It was very unappetizing. Prime rib hardly had any seasoning. Overall, some of the items are overly priced for the quality but some are affordable. The creme brulee was the positive note.. picture of crab cakes and creme brulee attached. Those are the 2 im not shy to recommend...

Seascape resort is a beautiful stunning resort, nice accommodations, lots of room to play and explore and yet the most memorable part of our stay here was our dinner at Sanderlings. Memorable because the food was so horrible. Clam chowder was thin and soupy bot chowdery, and the two bites of clams in it were sandy, I’m not really sure how you manage that 2/2 bowls. The entrees were… flavorful but not the kind of flavors that would make you want to come back. I had the fish which was fine and aesthetically pleasing I guess but somehow dry and bland despite all the sauce they added to the dish. My husbands dish was by far the most unforgettable. Have you ever left chicken in the croc pot for too long and had it come out dry despite all the sauce that was added? Thats what this reminded me of, aesthetically 0/10 for the sloppy skin that seemed like it was just thrown on there. And what are those giant beans? My god, just because they are unique doesnt make them fine dining. And perhaps this place wouldnt market itself as fine dining but the menu is priced as such, nearly $300 for our family of 5 to have this unforgettable meal. Kid menu is mid, not horrible but unimpressive as well. Overall the menu is trying too hard and not succeeding, maybe add a burger? I’ve paid $30 for a dry burger before and been less disappointed. Waitress was very nice though.

Sanderlings Restaurant offers a stunning view of Monterey Bay, creating a setting that encourages you to slow down and truly enjoy the moment. Since it was Sunday, they were serving brunch. We had anticipated a buffet, but it was actually full service. Unfortunately, that’s where the pleasant experience ended. We ordered eggs, potatoes, chicken apple sausage, and toast. Our food arrived quickly, which raised our suspicions. The food was lukewarm, suggesting they may been sitting on a steam table for some time. The sausage skins were wrinkled, as if they had been under a warming light for too long. Additionally, we were only given one slice of toast (normally you would receive two slices), which was cool and came without butter. After asking twice for butter, we finally received it just as we were finishing our meal. A couple next to us, didn't finish they're meal and walked out without paying. Being what we felt was an "upscale resort" we expected much better quality. We paid over $70 for the meal - definitely not worth the money.
