Definitely different from traditional american buffets. For the majority of the food, you fill out a sheet with what you want, and they bring the food to you. However there is a self serve salad bar and a dessert bar, with fruits too. Costs around $26 per person with discounts before I think 3pm during the week. There is an extra charge for "wasted" food though, so don't ask for more than you can eat. All of the food I had was excellent, I had a chicken udon bowl, fried tofu, and spicy tuna rolls. Dessert portions are appropriately small, because you'll be stuffed after filling your face on the main dishes. Cannot recommend enough if you like Asian food. At the very least it's worth a try. Only thing I didn't like was choice of music (just not my taste) which was also rather loud.

Nice all you can eat place for around $25. Salads and desserts are on a bar and are self serve. Nice selection and the garden salad and spicy crab were good. They also have ice cream cups available. As for the entrees. I had the Godzilla roll and it was ok. I have had better. Not bad by any means. The pork gyoza was good and the beef and scallops hibachi were both really good. Note, hibachi is not served with rice. It might be on the menu but I didn't want any so I didn't look for it. My wife had California rolls and said they were good. Service was quick and courteous. Overall a good experience and I look forward to trying it again.

What a treat for Manitowoc! It will convert your faith even if you are not a fish lover. EVERYTHING we ordered was great. The portions were great, the fish was fresh, the service was with a smile. Wait…there is a salad and a desert and fruit bar included if you dare…did I say the price was the most surprising element of this whole equation? We have discovered our new favorite place in town. Don’t waste food! The price reflects it, and it is fair! A message to the owners: please keep it up as initially things tend to be at their best in the beginning and then slowly start going down the hill over time. So far you guys are doing phenomenal! Quality is your friend in a long run. Keep your customers happy 😊.

The sushi was surprisingly fresh and made to order. Their selection of specialty rolls like super lobster roll and american dream roll is very fantastic. ​The hibachi was delicious, served piping hot. Steak and chicken were cooked perfectly. ​Our server is mey, her service was quick and attentive. She clear plates fast and bring new orders quickly. Highly recommend for a satisfying feast!

I had dinner here yesterday and it was a fantastic experience. There were five of us, and we tried different kinds of sushi, hibachi, and appetizers—all very fresh and delicious. The desserts were also excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly; they even prepared a small birthday cake for me and sang me a birthday song. I'll definitely be back!

We went here for lunch, and it was delightful. Our waitress was so friendly! She asked if we had been there before, and when we said no, she explained how everything worked. There is a set price for lunch. You order, and the appetizers and hibachi (meat and vegetables, it's amazing, you should try it) are smaller portions, which is great because if you finish everything you can order another small portion of the same thing or try something new. So you wind up ordering the perfect amount of food, nothing goes to waste, and you don't feel stuffed and sick afterward. We loved the crab Rangoon, and my husband loved his two sushi rolls he got. You also get to go up to the dessert bar, which is the most perfect thing ever. They have all sorts of little pieces of cakes and layered tiramisu type desserts. There are also a couple flaky pastries and little coconut macaroons. A lot of reasons to love this place!

Izumi definitely has competition because the food here was delicious. All the sushi tasted so fresh and they had a lot of variety. The all you can eat includes hibatchi, the sushi, and the appetizers. We left a couple bites of food here and there, weren't charged at all for it, so dont be too worried about that. Atmosphere is very good! Has more than just sushi to eat! We went on a random day of the week for the lunch, we will definitely be back.

Definitely check this place out, it's great for the price. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are good appetizers/options that are non-fish/vegetarian. Salad bar and ice cream bars included. The dessert bar is amazing too. I know it's a sushi & hibachi spot, but I would come just for the desserts.

Took the wife and kids for lunch and everything we ate was delicious. Sushi or Hibachi, you can't go wrong. The staff was very friendly and they were great with my little ones. Awesome place all around.

The sushi rolls are more wide and uniform than other restaurants in the area, almost like they were rolled in a press and not by hand. But the variety of items on the menu to order was a fun experience. The self-serve appetizers however looked like some had been sitting out for a while, a little unappealing in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the hot pot place that was here before, so I was hoping its replacement would be at least up to par. It was not even close. If you like buffets for their variety of fried goods, then it could be worth trying, but what a shameful excuse for a self-proclaimed AYCE sushi establishment. I like sashimi and nigiri, so I planned to order a bunch - AFTER I ordered, the server came to me and said I could only order a maximum of 6 or 8 pieces of sashimi. I have never encountered this at other AYCE places.. sure, some specialty cuts like toro or salmon belly may be limited, but to limit everything? Laughable. I settled with a bunch of nigiri instead and was greeted by a mountain of rice under each piece of fish. I get that they're trying to deter patrons from eating too much raw fish and getting their money's worth, but it made the nigiri have a horrible mouth feel. I tried to capture the amount of rice in the photos, but it was even worse than the worst place I have tried in the Minneapolis area. If you want a place to eat sushi, do not consider coming. If you want appetizers and deep fried/specialty rolls, you may enjoy it. I will not be returning. I feel bad writing this because the server was very kind, but this place does not deserve a good rating.
