High Tea Lounge at Le Meridien Arcadia

The High tea is the best friendly service we have experienced. The head dessert chef made delicious mini sandwiches, beautiful desserts, and tea. We celebrated mom's fun birthday, of course, with champagne. I highly recommend High Tea Lounge at Le Meridien in Arcadia.

We recently visited High Tea Lounge at Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia to celebrate my wife’s birthday and to fulfill my eldest daughter’s Christmas wish for a proper high tea experience. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell well short of expectations—particularly given the price. At $346 for four people, the value proposition was disappointing. We have enjoyed high tea at The Huntington Gardens for less, where the quality, freshness, and overall experience were truly exceptional and worth every penny. By comparison, the food at Le Méridien simply did not meet the standard one would expect at this price point. To be fair, the service was excellent. Shian took great care of us throughout the visit and went above and beyond by bringing out a slice of cheesecake for my wife’s birthday, which was genuinely appreciated. Additionally, three of the four teas we selected (Jardin Bleu, Oolong Caramel Beurre, and L’Oriental) were very good and likely the strongest part of the experience. Where this visit truly fell short was in the savory and sweet selections. The sandwich breads and croissant were stale, the fruit was not fresh, and most items felt mass-produced rather than thoughtfully prepared. Nothing stood out as exceptional, which is difficult to justify at this price level, especially for a high tea experience that should feel refined and memorable. In summary, while the service and tea selection were positives, the food quality and overall value were not. We will not be returning, and I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are seeking a high-quality high tea experience in Southern California.

This is the worst hi-tea experience I have ever encountered. The scones were dried and chewy, they were chocolate cinnamon flavors. Proper English scones should accompany with clotted cream and jam which was not offered. Obviously it won’t go with the type of scones they served. Also too much sweets! The macaroons are store bought. The tea sandwiches are dried. I could make better tea sandwiches. Such a disappointing experience and it’s not cheap either. What a waste of $. I also called the restaurant and they suppose to have their manager to return my call. I have not heard from manager.
