Always love coming here. This is one of the cleanest, friendliest and on point locations. Love the salad sampler and my daughter devours the chicken pasta.
Had put in a catering order for late Thanksgiving party. Everything was perfect, and delicious! Manager was SO kind, and accommodating- answered my 101 questions no problem. Will be ordering again for Christmas!
Stopped here for a quick lunch. We got the salmon, which was cooked very well and came with your choice of two vegetables and a crusty mini french loaf. The coffee was great! Get the French roast. Much more flavor. I used to really enjoy the bread and jam shelf they had, but that one away after covid, unfortunately. Overall, a quick and cozy stop for lunch. Especially good in the winter when they have a fire in the fireplace.
I love this place. For some reason the young lady at to go counter is not having a good day. She took my order with a rush mind you it was not busy had no around me to order. Then the worst part she has a face the I don't know how to describe. She didn't give me my recipe cause she ran off. Have no idea. Didn't even acknowledge I was walking away. When calling for my order I asked her did you put in the bag butter and jelly. Mind you it's a to go order breakfast. She didn't day anything and walked to the back to get what I asked. So what I understand she didn't have any in her to take out order. I said thank you and she just turned around. I never experienced such bad service from there. Like I said maybe it wasn't her day. She should of stayed home. 🙄
The Manager Mark at the Arlington 1-20 location was super hospitable and made up for years of bad service and sometimes bad food at other locations ( won’t name, they know who they are ). Have always had good service at this location… La Madeleine has been one of my favorite restaurants since the early 90s and although the food/service is at times questionable, they continue to be a place my family can always agree to dine at.
Oh my this place never disappoints. I had 1/2 a quiche, French onion soup, and a strawberry cream salad. It was amazing as always. We went at a good time 1230ish. It wasn't super busy. Will be back again. The employees were helpful and friendly. Seemed well managed and clean.
Great food and people. Tables were slow to be bussed but staff was happy to clean them if you asked.
This review is for management. I recently had some issues with my visit here. I submitted my complaint through their feedback website, because I think it’s fair to go to them directly before bashing them online. Mark promptly responded to me the very next day. He acknowledged every part of my complaint, was professional and courteous, and made the situation right. Even though I had a (somewhat) negative experience, the thoughtful conflict resolution earns them five stars from me. I’ll be back to try again.
I've been coming to la Madeleine for over 10 years. Over the past few years quality dropped but in this past year things have improved and I love coming here. The food is good, staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is clean. So happy that I can enjoy coming here again.
I wanted to eat a nice meal instead of fast food so I pulled over and made an online curbside order for la Madeleine, chicken La Madeline my favorite. As I ordered I thought’this will be great but it might take a while’. By the time I was done ordering I got a confirmation email then shortly after a text message saying my meal would be ready in one minute! Next it said it was ready! I called the number from the curbside parking space and they brought it out. I literally had my meal in less than five minutes!... and it was as good as inside the restaurant. Wonderfully packed With the exact order and all the accoutrements. I could even see the girl that brought it out smiling underneath her mask! Great food and great service at this la Madeleine!
We really enjoyed our visit here before heading to Hurricane Harbor for the day (6-5-22). The service, food, and atmosphere were spectacular. Our highlight was the team members/staff. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. This will be a first stop for us every-time we are in Arlington.
Domingo, the manager, is the most professional and accommodating manager around the DFW area with great food and customer service.
Zac is the best! Friendly and hard working! Thanks for a great experience!
I am a regular customer. I have always enjoyed my food here
Food was good, did not have to wait long. Everything was very clean.
I had the maple pecan waffle! It was sooo good! I couldn't eat it all and had leftovers that I re-heated in the oven! You gotta try it! 🥰❤️
Being a local business, we are passionate about uplifting our community, which is why every Friday, we treat our team to lunch together. On this particular day, the weather was chilly, and we were all craving something comforting and warm. After some discussion, we decided that a delicious bowl of soup paired with a hot sandwich would be the perfect choice to satisfy our hunger and keep us cozy. We will be coming back soon
This La Madeleine location is exceptionally well-managed. The staff is excellent, providing outstanding service alongside high-quality food. I was particularly impressed by their attention to hygiene—servers wore gloves while delivering food to tables, and some staff members behind the counter wore masks to help protect customers from norovirus and other respiratory illnesses. Kudos to the management team for hiring and training such a diligent and customer-focused team.
The food could've been more fresh but the service was good. Had no idea people get drunk here though..
Fresh and delicious. The pastries are the perfect amount of sweet and not super dense. I've ordered from this location multiple times for breakfast and lunch and even the coffee is really good. I tried the fresh mini baguettes last time and they were super flavorful and fluffy inside with a nice crunch on the outside. I can't say that I've ever had lightly salted bread that tasted to good! The sandwiches are delicious and well dressed and the ingredients always taste super fresh. Their food is light yet satisfying with great flavor. The girl at the front counter was a little standoffish but pickup was pretty simple and straightforward. Highly recommend!
The vibe is always good, always clean, and the food has been good here lately... Sometimes it's hit or miss with the food, but I guess it depends on the cook 😉
Zach and Heldie were amazing. Top notch customer service from both. All food, drink, and deserts were amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Great 3 salad sampler and the deserts are always top tier. Manager is great!
I dined at your restaurant this afternoon. I won't go into detail about how delicious the food was—though it certainly was—but what I really want to share is something that happened afterward. After finishing my meal, I left in a bit of a rush and accidentally forgot to take my backpack with me. Inside the backpack were my passport and wallet, so when I realized I had left it behind, I was extremely anxious, fearing it might have been taken by someone else. By the time I returned to the restaurant, it had already been two hours since I left. When I asked the staff if anyone had seen my backpack, a young waitress told me that she had found it and had tried to find a way to contact me. Unfortunately, there was no contact information inside, so she decided to keep it safe for me in the meantime. She then kindly returned the backpack to me. I’m incredibly grateful to your restaurant and to that young waitress (I was so relieved and overjoyed to have my bag back that I forgot to ask her name). I would like to express my appreciation for the honesty and kindness shown by your staff.
Busy for breakfast and lunch especially on the weekends. Love the atmosphere and food. Great bakery selection, though they are a bit pricey. Always a nice treat visiting this location
the cafe mocha was very comforting, and it paired very well with the desserts. i had an apple turnover and it had the perfect amount of sweetness i would definitely recommend coming here also the baguettes are stupid delicious
Food is delicious. We ordered the seasonal turkey feast with green beans and stuffing. Also Martin has been very polite and professional young man and we appreciate his service.
My son and I frequent this location. The service is always good, and everyone is friendly. Some favorites for us include the quiche, tomato soup, grilled cheese, and four cheese pasta among others. I do miss the French dip sandwich option, but there are still plenty of options to choose from. Occasionally, we get dessert or something from the bakery. The food prices here seem fair compared to the increasingly outrageous prices and deteriorating food quality in several fast food chains in recent time. The atmosphere is nice with plentiful seating available.
Food was delicious, staff was friendly. Never had a macron and WOW DELICIOUS. Am going back especially for that. Going in was nice and cozy, ambiance was just 10/10. I will say, now I know pickup is by the entrance but I did wait in line bc I missed the sign LOL. Maybe also put another sign near it for after you walk in? Would have saved me a few minutes. But so friendly and lovely. Honestly, will be back. Soup and sandwiches were delicious by the way! And felt home-made, not too heavy. Just lovely.
Great first time experience, manager I believe mark gave us great hospitality, tomato soup was great , Cesar salad yummy , and coconut pie was awesome as well ! Definitely coming back for more
Exceptional staff, excellent food, great prices. Both Hilda & Mark are both amazing representatives of the la Madeleine brand. The cheerfulness and welcoming spirit they greet customers with is the epitome of excellent customer service and makes you eager to return. The lifetime value of return customers are restaurant gold. laMadeleine Corporate should have them train all the other locations in north Texas.
June 4th 6:19 PM Food was good. They did have a staffing problem when I was here. Customers waiting while 5 employees were on their phones while they let 3 employees do the work. (3 working) One cashier and a single employee filling orders and one wiping tables while 5 used their phones.
I'd say that this location is slightly better than the N. Collins location but not by much; the major differences being that the staff here seem to be more friendly and also they're more dedicated to upholding the French facade, in how they would greet us saying, "bonjour". They also have nice looking marble-esque tray counters, unlike the metal ones at the northern location. The gluten free options on the menu were marked, so I'm very happy about that! I feel like I got my money's worth with the quality and quantity of the food, and it was lovely to eat it while seated next to the lovely fire. I also feel like this location, being next to the mall and all, is a better place than the northern location.
This place is so very good and the French Onion Soup is supberd, and the Green Beans were very good as well. They have so many options for dining and a great selection of pastries for you to enjoy there or take home. The dress is very casual and the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or a sit down meal or you can just have a delicious dessert. The staff were very friendly and kind and the prices were extremely reasonable. We ate there because we had a cash back deal from our bank and we were so glad we did as it was all so very good. We enjoyed this place and I am sure you will as well so make plans s to stop by and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
This place never disappoints. The food here is as always AWW-MAZING, with service to match. I always get the Caesar Salad with Chicken and Tomato Basil Soup. I have to get me a bottle of the Caesar Dressing and the Black Currant Preserves. This stuff is the best and make awesome gifts. I have to have these two things in my home at all times. Thank you La Madeleine for an awesome product and phenomenal food.
Very good food, service is modest. I enjoy dining here.
Nice restaurant with a good selection of breakfast items, fresh pastries, sandwiches and home style dishes Ideal for brunch with friends
Have been here several times with a good experience. Have had some issues with the quality of pick up orders but that is to be expected. Any service issues I have had here were always handled quickly and professionally, I was even given a complimentary bakery item for my inconvenience. Would definitely come again.
It's always a great place to grab a Caesar Sandwich and/or tomato basil soup😋
The staff is okay and I go here a lot only for the pastry
I like this place. I've been here before. I can't remember what I ordered, but this time around, I just ordered desserts. I got the white chocolate lemon chocolate and a blueberry lemon danish. I love almost anything with lemon. I like that they have a simple menu. It's a small, intimate restaurant.
This is a nice place and change of environment, loved the vibe. The food was delicious! l I got a chicken and bacon baguette with tomato basil pasta. If you're looking for a place to escape to and feel like your not in Texas, this is a great spot. The only thing I noticed is that it took forever for someone to come around and clear up tables with dishes.
I absolutely love the food here! The flavors are always spot on, and it’s a delight to enjoy a meal at this place. However, I’ve noticed that there is a consistent issue with the communication during the food ordering process. On multiple occasions, I’ve ordered a French toast breakfast, only to be charged for it but receive a French breakfast instead. This discrepancy is frustrating and happens regularly, which detracts from the overall dining experience.
I've been going to this La Madeleine by the parks mall since I was a kid. This restaurant has always had a special place in my heart. First off, the atmosphere is just amazing. It's cozy, rustic, and romantic. The place really feels like a French cafe! Everything is always very organized and clean, and tables are cleared very quickly here. The staff at La Madeleine are very friendly and always have great suggestions in regards to their food and different ways to try it. I am a huge fan of their Sacher chocolate cake and their fruit tarts. I can't go to La Madeleine without grabbing at least one slice! I also just adore their Cesar salads. I know that seems a little simple but they do a great job with them and it's always a go-to for me! Overall, I love this place but it is a little pricey. I would recommend it to anyone who's passing by!
We have ordered takeout a few times the last few weeks. Both here and the Grapevine location. Honestly, I have decided it is no longer worth the money. The food has changed. The quiche used to be made with puff pastry, now it’s just regular pastry/pie crust, nothing special. It’s not bad, it’s just no longer outstanding. The chicken is now balsamic something or other, it used to be rosemary chicken and was heavenly, would melt in your mouth and had the perfect flavor. The new chicken is a little drier, and a little bland, to be honest. The tomato basil soup is still outstanding. The Caesar salad is still good, but it would be better with the old rosemary chicken. I understand restaurants change up the menu and formulas for a number of reasons, but sometimes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
I love this place especially this location the food is always delicious. But the communication is lacking. Many people waited near the door to place their order. It 3pm place isn’t packed and not one employee said go here, or I’ll be right with you. Then since I’m not getting soup or salad I decided to skip ahead since I’ve waited long enough. But yet again ignored. Not even told I’ll be with you or please move to the side I’ll be with you. It especially upset me when an employee asked how can I help you. I reply I just want to order my and she replied ok. Okay...? So I move to the back because unlike these employees I respect other people. Then I finally get an chance to talk to a the lady that first ignored me and she has the Audacity to ask as if she didn’t ignore me either. They listed the manager told me he would speak with the lady fine whatever. In the end have a sign, tell me where to go and please let people know I’m sorry I’ll be right with you. I still love this place and luckily no one was really rude I just hold a certain standard when it comes to service. Especially working in the business Not to self if no one is at the front just walk on down to the register and make your order ❤️
Truly enjoy coming here as a family and the kids really enjoy their food! Today however my daughter wasn’t a fan of her kids meal pasta and barely touched it and (of course) requested pizza like her brother had. I asked an employee if I could get it exchanged since my daughter didn’t like it and I even had the bowl with me to show. Employee said that I would have to pay for a whole other kids meal because “we have to make a completely new order.” I asked even though she didn’t like it? He said yes. So much for great customer service. Pretty disappointed in this place since it seems so kid friendly and any parent knows how quickly these kids change their minds or how picky of eaters they can be.
Quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good. Tomato basil soup is worth the stop.
Ordered 2 over easy eggs & never got it so canceled. Bad service for today.
They stopped serving the baguette and something changed with the recipe. The food didn't taste like I remembered. Kinda sad. I'm sure it'll grow on me.
Food is excellent and the staff very nice but it needs a little more attention in the cleanliness of their restrooms. Men restroom smells like a big urinal!
I’ve eaten at this location for several years and it’s not the worst - but you can tell it’s aged. What irks me most is that the men’s restroom is filthy. The urinal always has a stench and fluid that hasn’t been flushed. Management needs to place a higher priority on cleanliness. As for food, it’s still consistently palatable and my staple has become breakfast oriented. Overall, the ambience isn’t bad and it’s still worth frequenting…if you’re in the mood for a simplistic dining experience.
Foods always great. But having to ask for is a hassel. You cant find anyone at the register and they only give you 1 bag with two tiny pieces of bread. Had to get up 4 times to ask for bread and it took a min to get someones attention.
Usually a big fan, but this last visit was a disappointment. Ordered a strawberry Nutella crepe and they gave me a basic chocolate syrup. Would’ve been fine if I had been told they were out of Nutella, but no they decided to switch it out thinking someone wouldn’t notice. Not only that, ordered an omelette and it had no flavor. Was simply missing salt. Not sure if that’s standard, but also a disappointment.
I got a french dip and there was 2 slices of lunch meat on it. It was pretty much a bread sandwich with a dipping sauce. The whole set up was kind of confusing. U get a tray but only need it for certain meals.
It was okay. You’re not missing out on much. The food felt like it was microwaveable, boxed up food. Felt fake? And like it had no nutritional value. I didn’t enjoy it. Small dining area, felt crowded, even at the host area. Inside the entrance there was 4-6 dead crickets. Food is out pretty fast. Open sitting.
Honestly not worth the wait, the food is pretty mid too.
Love this place but got rid of the best part the baguettes! The croissants are a down grade.
Had okay experiences in the past. Decided on a whim to order a few pastries on two separate days via Uber Eats. The cherry danishes were burnt. Called manager and they said they would send a $20 gift card, never got it. Then I ordered today, the chocolate almond croissants were cut in half and were soggy. The insides are there to see.
I rarely post negative reviews and I’m not “one of those negative people” but today I went in to relax, work, and enjoy a pastry. I walked in the door, I stood there for quite awhile looking at the case of delights. Not one person acknowledged my presence. When I stepped in front of the to-go register, I stood there again for awhile. There was a young man buttering bread next to the case who refused to look and say “Hi ma’am, someone will be with you shortly.” Another older man saw me from behind the counter (he was stationed sweeping near the case) and continued sweeping and ignoring me. I never made a fuss or made a comment. A cashier across the restaurant saw me and kept looking at the two men ignoring me but NOT ONE person came over to acknowledge me or help. I The restaurant was almost empty with the exception of a few tables with people at them. This behavior was condescending and low-key hateful. It was almost like it was done on purpose. I hope that was not the case but sadly I don’t put much past some people these days. My mind has another waning suspicion (side eye) as to why I was ignored, but I will not go there at this moment. I’ve never had a major issue with La Madeleine’s but this particular location has lost my business until they get new employees and possibly new management. That was just odd, off, and wrong.
Was looking to eat crêpes. So first time there. Arlington location. Saw them online and said hey look they do crêpes. So my wife and I set out to have crêpes that night and was so excited. We found a place that had good reviews for doing them. When we got there, we didn’t quite know how it worked and asked somebody, how does it work? Come to the counter pick out what you want and then we will prepare it for you and let you know when it’s ready. Good start so far. So we tell them what crêpes we want they ring us up. take our money and then some guy comes out the back hollering at the top of his lungs. What are y’all doing? We don’t have any crêpes. it would take me a half an hour to get something ready to make some crêpes we’re not doing anymore crêpes tonight. So the lady at the register apologized. And I told her no worries not your fault. The manager did come and refund the money on our credit card. I gave such a low rating because, the service wasn’t good because I didn’t get any. The crêpes weren’t good because I didn’t get any. Hard to write something on the only response you get is from some guy in the back hollering. We don’t have time to make crêpes.
Update. Went back today only because I completed a survey and the manager sent two $10 gift cards. Sorry to say little has changed. The same woman used her bare hands to sweep crumbs on the floor after bussing the tables. This woman also served food to customers, again with bare hands. I didn’t notice if there had been a change with the salad prep. According to my wife the soda from the fountain was still weak, mainly carbonated water. We didn’t notice whether the surcharge was still applied because neither one of us looked at the receipt. Definitely the last time visiting this location. Nasty! The woman clearing tables swept the crumbs off the table to the floor with her bare hands, she used no fluid or rag to clean the tables. The same woman brought food out to the customers. The woman making salad used the same mixing bowl for all the customers not cleaning it in between making orders. Good luck if you have allergies. The soda from the fountain is so weak one could barely taste the soda flavor, it was mainly carbonated water. And, there’s a commodity surcharge on all orders. No sign notifying you of the change, only a message on the receipt after you pay. Last time I come here.
Waited 40 min for a pick up order, just for a chicken ceaser sandwich while other people were getting there food. There was no communication on there side and just had me waiting for no reason.
The food was amazing and great atmosphere as well, the problem was the service. There was a hair in our food and we tried to tell the cashier about it and ignored us, then we told the cook about it and he just took the hair off the food and gaves us the plate back and said that he was gonna make new eggs. After 20 mins of waiting we didn't get the food. We brought this situation to the attention of an erderly server and immediately solved our problem and gave us a new plate of food. It only took him 5 mins and even treated us well. Thanks to that great gentlemen our experience ended on a very high note.
Usually never have any major issues with La Madeline, however, I called to place a to go order today and was left on hold for more than 10 minutes. I decided to try to place an order online instead and had issues with placing my order because my card was associated with a new account so I was unable to. I walked in to place the order and eventually got my meal but was upset to find my sandwich barely filled and mostly bread.
I’m a regular at this location and usually service is good and fast but tonight it was not. Walked in to get dinner for two but I stood in line for at least 15 minutes completely ignored by not one, not two, but three people working the line. There was a hefty Hispanic and a large woman with pink hair that didint Greet us or even acknowledge us. I really hope this place doesn’t go down hill. They seemed completely oblivious to the fact that we were making direct eye contact and they seemed consumed in their own conversation. Went to the Cheesecake Factory instead and got sat immediately.
Manager was rude and impatient, even though the only thing we had asked for bread. They also got my order wrong, and even after waiting a whole 30 minutes for a single sandwich to come out, they still made me pay more since the sandwich I wanted was a bit more expensive (It wasn't even a dollar!). When I came back up to ask for a to go box, the manager was on his phone at the front counter and ignored me for a few moments before finally turning his attention to me. I used to absolutely loved this place a few years ago, but I won't be returning due to poor choice in management. I'm not exactly sure of the managers name, but he was a bald middle aged guy that was working tonights closing shift.
I haven’t had a bad customer service experience in a while, but there’s always that one. One that tries to top the other horrible restaurants, and La Madeleine is that ONE. Not only are the rules of ordering complex, but even the staff seemed perplexed when it comes to ordering the food and how things run. Utensils and drinks are ordered on one side of the restaurant and food at the other, with different cashiers in between the process. This makes for not only a very chaotic system, but the missing staff doesn’t help the confused customers find out where they need to go either. Disappointed I wasted my appetite here.
I placed a curbside order while sitting in the parking lot, they said they didn't have my order and that I would have to come in and place the order. I called them back thinking maybe I was at the wrong location, I was not. I was read back my order, and 15 mins later I was handed a hair and particle filled lemon tart and old sausage.
First couple times, i was impressed coz they have a really pretty and tasty cakes and I am fan of creme brulee so hell yeah. However, one issue kept going no matter how many times i went there. They dont greet you. I just wanted to go there and have something to go but they never pay attention to who walked into the door even though they stand right at the door. Especially the last time, i walked in, wait 5 min, noone said anything despite they have 5 people at the cashier and talking to each othef. Until one of the staff WHO WORKS IN THE KITCHEN AND KNEELING A DOUGH, she turned over and called them "Hello, you have customer waiting, hello" a couple time and noone gives her an attention either. store at that moment was slow, no one but me. Can you imagine how much i want to slam that cashier table and told them "im not invisible!!!" Never come back again, good reason for me to cut off all amount of sugar. A taste cake and the worst customer service = never return until i forgot that how disrespectful they are.
**Please look at the pictures im posting** I went today to La madeleine for breakfast. I ordered Pasta LaMadlien, While im eatting there was a black grasshopper in my food !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was soo disgusting. I almost throw up. Im a young guy and that will not effect my health. Yet, this will be dangours for kids and older people. This is less of responsibility in the kitchen. I can't imagine how you don't check any plate that goes out from the kitchen. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I got a full refund for the table. I will be calling Health Department.
Sadly, tonight will be my final visit to la Madeleine in South Arlington. My family and I have always enjoyed this spot, but in the past few years, we stopped dining in due to service issues, and over the past 4 or 5 times we've ordered to pick up, it's as if our order has inconvenienced the staff. There is little to zero management presence, and as stated, the staff does not care. No attention to detail, no customer service and zero appreciation that you chose them among the multitude of choices within a square mile of where the So. Arlington location sits. The most recent experience was just as described above, PLUS, not getting the order correct. When I asked about the missing item, I was matter of factly told "Oh, we're out of that." No options, just expecting me to pay for what 'they're out of'. I ended up getting a substitution, but had to demand it. The food is always good, so we'll miss it, but can't support a business that cares so little about their customers - aka the people who spend their money so the business can exist.
Soup was not hot. The penni pasta was water not a sauce . My sandwich order was wrong. The rice did not seem fresh, it was a microwaved. I've had better food at the north Arlington location .
