Portside Pizza Pub Arnolds Park Reviews
This is our go to pizza in okoboji! Every pizza in their entire menu is all amazing! I suggest the cheesy bread too! You'll keep coming back to portside!
Food is outstanding definitely my favorite pizza place the servers were out of the ordinary they were so nice to me and and my family members it was a little noisy but it smelt like heaven
Such Great Food and staff! We have gone here so many times I think we have tried all there different Pizzas! Also if you have hyperglycemia or are a diabetic they have a cauliflower crust that helps.
Everything was so great! The food is enjoyable, but the staff is unforgettable. There was a table who was drunk and treated the whole staff, bar and kitchen, absolutely horrible. I respect the staff for speaking up for themselves and not tolerating the disrespect. Would always recommend coming here!
Pizza is good, pasta good. Friendly service, however had a hick up or two (3?) with being able to get Food to the table while you could see it was out waiting from the cooks, so 3 out of 5 on that. But taste and atmosphere were good and despite some issues the staff is friendly and kind. Will eat here again.
I visited Portside Pizza Pub on Memorial Day, weekend and it was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend the pizza flight to try a few different pizzas. The highlight of each night was the guest DJ, Donny Dahl, who kept the energy high and the crowd dancing all night. The music selection was perfect for the occasion, adding to the fun atmosphere. Overall, Portside Pizza Pub is a great spot for both excellent pizza and a lively nightlife. Highly recommend checking it out, especially on special occasions like Memorial Day!
Always a good time here, they have great pizza's and the service hasn't been bad yet. We've been going here since they opened and try to go at least once a month and try a new pizza. The pizza in the picture is the ragin cajun and it was probably the best one yet. Being from the Midwest, it didn't even need ranch! This is one of our favorite places to go in the lakes area. Highly recommend trying it out and be sure to get some planks!
While swimming at our hotel another family was telling us about this awesome pizza place we had to try. Oh my goodness... this pizza was freakin amazing. We ordered enough for us to bring some home but the family loved it so much there were no leftovers. We tried the pepperoni, the cheeser pleaser, crab rangoon, and Memphis Q.
We have been trying different places to eat throughout okoboji and Arnold's Park for the last few summers when we are up here. We wanted to try Portside on Saturday June 4th but it was so busy there was nowhere to sit so we went in for lunch on Sunday June 5th and honestly it was worth the wait. After trying to decide which pizza to try we settled on the Thai peanut pizza, the inferno pizza will be tried in July or August, and it was a very good pizza. The sauce and toppings were spot on and the peanut sauce drizzled on top was a perfect compliment. Our daughter got the kids cheese pizza and it was gooey cheese perfection. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive.
Great stop during the Winterfest!! Pizza was spot on, and the little gal we had as a server was so sweet! Not one employee walked by without checking on us-drinks were always filled, food was hot, and plenty of room to sit at the table w the food! It will definitely be a regular stop for us in the years to come dueing this adventure!
It was very busy and hot inside but that's to be expected! We had a very awesome server who stayed on top of our drinks and brought our food out quickly. We had the flight which is where you pick 3 personal size pizzas so you can try a variety of different unique pizzas they offer. I highly recommend the crab Rangoon pizza. It was the bomb! The kitchen dropped one of our mini pizzas but accidents happen and they got it to us asap. This is a great place to get some food and it is very close to the water and Arnold's Park
Busy, happening place on a Saturday night around 9pm. Nice location near the Central Emporium and Arnolds Park. Despite being busy, we found a decent seat that looked over the sidewalk and service was pretty good. We ordered the fried raviolis and a hamburger and cup & char pepperoni pizza. The fried raviolis were amazing. They were stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, romano and asiago cheeses. The pizza was good as well. The prices were reasonable and overall food and service were really good.
While visiting family we stopped at Portside Pizza. Very touristy spot, very friendly and good service. We had 4 adults and 5 kids go for lunch it was decently priced and delicious. I will say, however, if your kids are particular eaters they have a limited kids menu. For kids they have chicken strips, personal pizza and fried ravioli plus kettle chips or applesauce. Not bad choices but just saying if your kids are picky it could be hit or miss. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating as we wrangled five kids ranging from 1 yr to 13 yr. Would recommend to other families or just anyone visiting this quaint little spot! ***Oh I will say our oldest ordered some pasta but wasn’t aware it came with cheese on it and it was kind of spicy. We do try to limit her dairy intake so we could have verified if it came with cheese or not - I’m not sure if it said on the menu or not. Just a heads up for others who may have food allergies or sensitivities. **
Nice little spot to get some food when spending the day on the lakes. The pizza there is handmade, you can watch them throwing the dough in the kitchen which is entertaining. The food was really good, including the Greek salad and fried ravioli. Only drawback is the limited seating during the busy summer months.
Bring your own knife!! The cheese was very rubbery. The pizza is droopy causing one to not be able to eat it without cutting it up with a fork. Amazing and unique interior.
The atmosphere is so fun! The different levels add a fun Nashville vibe element. The food is pretty good when it comes out on time. The service is sub par. We waited over 2 and half hours for two pizzas and a couple of kids meals. One of our pizzas never went through and my personal didn’t come with cheese on it :/ . When we asked about it they said they would give us a discount and that didn’t happen. The service has gotten worse everytime we visit. But if you go for drinks it’s guaranteed to be fun!
Biggest complaint is service. Staff is either not thrilled about working here or too egocentric to care about the customer experience. Bummer for families trying to enjoy their vacation.
Worst service ever. Would not give us paper plates and told us to eat off the box. Pizza was good but not enough to redeem the treatment by the service staff. Won’t be back.
