It was my first time to Catch and while I heard a lot about it from around town, I wanted to see if the service was worth the high price point. I was wowed by the atmosphere and staff from the moment I stepped in the building. Thea was welcoming with a smile and very friendly at the coat check. Alejandro was attentive and engaging in conversation as we sat down at our table. He told us about living in Peru and it was amazing to talk to him and we shared a laugh about having two Alejandro’s in our party as well. He kept checking in on us and made our night special. Catch exceeded expectations and while the sushi was outstanding we will be back for the incredible staff!

I only took one photo as it was a business dinner, but this dish was so beautiful I had to risk it! I have to say that all the other dishes closely matched the elegance of this one and everyone was out of this world delicious. I’ve eaten near three times and every time I’ve had a top 25 meal experience! On my next visit, I got a little more photo happy! Impeccable meal, service, experience as I have come to expect in this very fine dining establishment.

I love dining at Catch!!! Wherever it is solo after work or setting up for a group event! The Tuna tartar Is to die for! Taylor is more than an adequate bartender shaking anything up that you may be thirsty for :) Emma’s attention to detail when dining in, is impeccable. Another go to for me is the truffle butter fillet, it will not disappoint. So if you’re in Aspen and you “catch” yourself craving either something from the land or the sea this is the place!

What I liked about this place. The steak was delicious and the mashed potatoes were even more so! The atmosphere was super relaxing. Staff were also super friendly and helpful. What I disliked. The time it took to get our meal and the value of what we paid for vs what we got. We waited over an hour for our food and we were hungry. We got the $90 Japanese waygu sample plate where they cook a measly 1.5 oz of waygu in front of you. Delicious but not worth the $90. Overall our experience was positive here. The food is severely overpriced. But the ribeye steak and mashed potatoes were worth the price tag. The appetizers not so much. I recommend if you come here (and are paying yourself and not on business trip) to skip all appetizers. Go for their signature dishes and get the value you pay for. Definitely need a reservation to eat here as it is super popular. I recommend this place to anyone who loves steak and is looking to drop a few hundred on some high quality meat in Aspen.

Came here without a reservation at 8:15pm and even though the restaurant was full they accommodated us quickly. The service was kind and attentive and unpopular opinion but Catch has my favorite sushi rolls in Aspen. I think they taste the best and it tastes as good as the New York location. I also love the rib cap, the wagyu beef sampler and the wedge salad has a delicious dressing on it and big chunks of bacon and just the right about on blue cheese.

We made reservations ti Catch Steak for our anniversary while in Aspen. The restaurant is off the main street and there are street parking available. The vibe of this Catch was very different than LA one, nevertheless a good culinary experience. We were greeted by our host and walked into our table. The sittings are luxurious, interiors is cozy. We ordered seafood and some appetizers. Each dish was prepared meticulously, our fish was cooked well, it tasted fresh and side dishes we ordered were appealing. We ordered chocolate dessert and it was huge. The restaurant got quite busy and noisy by the end of the night. Our waiter, Berk was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and food. He made us welcomed and made excellent recommendations. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

I'm going to start off by saying that I completely do not understand the 3.8 review. Ignore that. I will also say, if your looking for a cheap dining experience.. don't come to Aspen. I've gone to many many steak houses around the US and Canada and this might just be my favorite. My wife booked a reservation for my birthday. The experience started when we first walked in everyone wished me a happy birthday and got us seated at the table. Catalina was our server and made some amazing recommendations. We almost ordered the shrimp cocktail but she steered us in a different direction and I'm thankful she did because it was amazing. We ordered a bone in Ribeye 12 Oz. My expectations were low as I've been to Prime and SW and many other restaurants in Vegas.. and it was just okay. This steak for the price was amazing. The mashed potatoes were creamy and spot on. Asparagus was well seasoned and had a hint of lime. The desert. Great presentation. Tasted great. All in all. Once again. Don't understand the 3.8. Definitely will be back. NY far the best dining experience I've had in Aspen to date.

Our waiter Adam was great! We had so much fun at this dinner and that’s saying a lot because we had the day from hell of flying into Aspen so we couldn’t get there till 9:40pm. Loved everything they put down on the table. Didn’t get photos of all of it but definitely recommend the chili rubbed steak if you love spicy seasoning 👌🏼

Wonderful service with amazing food and fantastic views! I wish I had the appetite to try one of everything. The wedge salad was really flavorful and had nice big bits of bacon with a yummy creamy sesame dressing. The sizzling shrimps were absolutely awesome with the spicy lobster sauce (not to much heat) and they were really juicy and tender. I chose the 12oz bone-in cowgirl ribeye and my wife enjoy the 8oz truffle butter filet. Both plates were cooked to perfection! Juicy, tender, and absolutely full of flavor. It makes my mouth water thinking about it. Then, we shared the incredibly delicious snicker baked Alaska; that was an amazing way to wrap up the evening. (Not pictured) If you have the opportunity and the weather is nice, choose a table outside and enjoy the fresh mountain air while you dine! Our server Mitch was very attentive and made our evening very enjoyable. We will be back again soon.

We had a wonderful family dinner at Catch Steak Aspen to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The food and steaks were delicious. Restaurant manager Jeffrey was such a great host, making sure that we had a great experience. Daniel, on the Kitchen Staff even helped with flowers! Highly, highly recommend Catch Steak Aspen. You will not be disappointed.

Great group dinner for 8 just like last year. We sat upstairs and tend to go a little early which I think is a pro tip to get the best service and seats. The appetizers and cocktails steal the show. The steaks are quite good and better than most in the Aspen area if not all, but certainly don't elevate themselves over great steak houses in NY, LA, Miami, Vegas, etc. so come for a steak but really stay for everything else. For steaks we had the 40oz tomahawk and the 24 oz wagyu porterhouse. The wagyu was exceptional - tend, perfectly cooked, etc. but the tomahawk was overly charred on all edges (it's hard to cook those, I understand). Spicy tuna and catch rolls were great - they oddly do a nice job with sushi here - it's not as good as Matsuhisa but nice to add to mains or an app. Apps: - always order the Wedge Salad! I don't like blue cheese and get it on the side but their sesame dressing is a 10/10 - unique, amazing. - Caesar - lots of dressing but basically delicious - so good. - pretzel bread - can't go wrong with this of course... - simple green beans are recommended along with a "sharing" truffle tagliolini if you road hard that day. We had all this and it was less by about 40% than eating at Yuki the next night - smoked old fashioned rounds, a nice bottle of red, and some other craft drinks finished off a great experience. Really consistent 3 years in a row for me - has earned 5 stars. Keep it up!

Here is what you need to know about Catch Aspen: it offers great food, average service, and a fun atmosphere. I had dinner there on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. I highly recommend making a reservation. Initially, they tried to seat us at a communal table by the bar, even though I mentioned it was my birthday. After requesting a different table, they quickly accommodated us and found a better spot. The restaurant has a lively and somewhat loud atmosphere, which some may find appealing. The service was decent, though our server seemed to be preoccupied with larger tables and ended up bringing the check after we had already requested dessert. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food. Everything from the appetizers to the main courses was excellent. The carpaccio was outstanding, and the meat was cooked to perfection. I also recommend trying the fries as a side. Overall, Catch Aspen is a great choice if you’re looking to splurge and enjoy a nice dinner in Aspen.

Ambiance is amazing. Sushi was great. Wagyu steak was just not worth the $110. Very expensice for the portions. But still good experience, not sure if I'd go back.

Another overpriced steakhouse with bad service. Wanted to like this place, but the service and dessert sunk it. The 38-day, dry aged 12-oz bone in strip had a nice crust and was cooked as requested but was overpriced considering its quality. The salmon was middle of the road, at best. The best food item ordered at my table was probably the Branzino (European seabass), and the worst item was the bananas foster. With only two dessert items available, you would think they would be done well, but not at Catch. It was so bad that my wife and Mother both refused another bite after one taste. It was incredibly loud, which ruined the atmosphere. We had to resort to yelling across our table to communicate. To make matters worse, our waiter was so inattentive that we were forced to hold up and wave a credit card to get our bill at the end of the night. The staff didn't even seem like they wanted to be there.

Overall an okay experience. The service was okay but definitely felt like the waiter was rushing us out for some reason. Compared to other restaurants in Vail and Aspen, they treated us worse. The food was mostly good. We started with a bluefin tuna tartare, salmon/dry aged prime rib cap, and ended with the 13 layered chocolate cake. The only problem was with my prime rib cap being half cooked and half blue/rare. The server didn't ask about the food so we just left it. Go to Steakhouse No. 316 instead.

The place is stunning but the food is not that good for the prices they charge, they’re very stingy with the quantity they serve. The service was a bit scattered and they force you to take wagyu stake two ounces at least and the price of each ounce is 65 dollars for tiny pieces not to mention the tip on top of your bill. Me and my husband had total of 4 dishes with a side and a few glasses of not so high end wine but the bill was 450 dollars. I have had better food experiences in that much money. The stake was tasty though. But not worth the value i would say.

The food was great but certainly overpriced. I had a better experience and food quality in Catch NY. Service was decent but was a bit too scripted and the waiter didn’t seem like he had the time to answer questions about the menu. The host was very accommodating. The food was excellent however.

Catch Steak – Now Featuring 3D-Printed Wagyu 🤖🥩 Hard reservation. Packed house. Been to the Miami location and loved it—so expectations were high. Recommendation: they should stick to Catch and quietly delete Steak from the name. Sushi, sashimi, and rolls? Legit. No complaints. The steaks? I’m not sure where they caught these steaks, but it definitely wasn’t from a cow. Party of 9. Four different steaks. All cooked perfectly… and all somehow tasteless, floppy, and oddly fish-adjacent. Impressive, honestly. I fell for the waiter’s pitch—sold me a 20oz Wagyu like he was trying to clear end-of-month inventory. “Seven years to get,” he said. Correct. It tasted like it spent all seven years waiting to be ordered. $300 for a salt delivery system. My son’s Wagyu porterhouse: tasteless. Filet mignon: a confused lump of protein. The 14oz Wagyu strip was the only steak that seemed aware it was food. At this point, I’m convinced the steaks are AI-generated and 3D-printed in the back. Cooked medium-rare, downloaded medium-meh. Caesar salad was great—arrived after the steaks. The famous mushrooms showed up with dessert. Time here is more of a vibe than a schedule. They did comp dessert, which was appreciated. Also overheard several other tables complaining, so it wasn’t just us. Either they can’t handle the crowd… or they ran out of meat and hit “Print.”
