We were passing through the area and ate without a reservation because there were only two of us. The stew was very good and a generous portion. Excellent service from the staff. The atmosphere was very friendly and the service was quick.

Cocido maragato is eaten in a different order than other stews: meat and salad, chickpeas and cabbage, soup, and dessert. The custard is delicious. I always come back...

Without a doubt the best place to eat, especially the Cocido Maragato, it is the place that in my opinion is typical and not like the rest (without disparaging it, of course).

This is the first time I've tried cocido maragato, and I have to say I loved it. Everything was delicious, the portions were huge, and all the ingredients were local. I'll definitely order it again when I return.

The Maragato stew was amazing, as always. In this order, from most to least (or most): the whole accompaniment that goes with it, accompanied by salad to try to avoid making you feel like you're overeating, the chickpeas with cabbage, the soup, and finally, the custard. Well, coffee and liqueur, all for 27.50 euros. Unbeatable. Don't change!

This is, without a doubt, one of the best stews I've ever tried. The Maragato stew captivates not only with its flavor, but also with its history and its unique way of serving it. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful, and the speed of the service, along with the warm, family-like attention, make it even better. This family has managed to turn the restaurant and its food into a unique gastronomic experience. Congratulations! I hope to return soon. We were there in May 2024.

After making a reservation in advance for 30 people to visit the area, the service was excellent, everything was prepared and ready on time. The waiters were very prompt and helpful. We ordered the most typical dish, the "cocido maragato" (Maragato stew), which is eaten the opposite way to other regions. It started with the meat (knuckle, leg, belly, stuffing, shank, and ear), well-cooked and acceptable. Next came the cabbage and chickpeas (very tasty), and we finished with the soup. The village bread was very good and plentiful. For dessert, custard with biscuits pleasantly surprised me. To finish, we had a coffee and a shot. I recommend taking a stroll through the streets of this pretty town after this meal to work off the craving.

We loved the food, place and atmosphere. In the middle of the countryside.

Everything was excellent and the service was great. 100% recommended!! Cocido Maragato at its best. Includes salad and dessert for two. All the dishes were generous and delicious. The black pudding was absolutely extraordinary. It's definitely worth the trip from Astorga.

The perfect restaurant for a hearty and satisfying cocido maragato (a traditional stew from Maragatería); not only are each dish generous, but they also offer you more if you're still hungry. Everything is delicious and cooked to perfection, the restaurant is spacious and pleasant, and the service is attentive and friendly. The custard with sponge cake for dessert, and a complimentary shot with your coffee, are a treat. You couldn't ask for more.

Wow, don’t have worlds to explain how delicious was this cocido maragato. Even the 7 months old baby enjoy the garbanzos!! Definitely we will repeat as soon as we are in the area

Spectacular. Both the service and the food were excellent. From the moment we arrived, we received a wonderful welcome. The table was already set up, and our food arrived in less than 5 minutes. We obviously enjoyed a Cocido Maragato, which was absolutely delicious. The custard for dessert was exquisite, and it came with coffee. I'd like to highlight the staff's excellent service; we didn't have to ask for anything, which was much appreciated. Very professional! We will definitely be back! 🦁

It had been many years since I'd been here for cocido maragato. Perhaps the last time surprised me more than this second time. The service is excellent, the place is fantastic, and the price is very reasonable. I think the chickpeas and cabbage could be a bit more substantial, and the soup too. The meats are good. Very good. The custard is spectacular. All for €25, including wine. Maybe I'm a bit picky about cocido maragato, but it's my favorite dish. Adding lettuce and tomato isn't a good idea, in my opinion. Just tomato with a little spring onion would be better.

It was really good!!! The service was excellent and the "cocido maragato" the bestnof it all!!!
