La Sabrosura Astoria Reviews
The dominican lady that works there is as sweet as the cranberry empanadas.
The coffee tastes great, empanadas also taste good 👍
I don’t know why people put bad reviews to them…. I live in the area and go frequently they have good empanadas with different filling and the guava/cheese bread is the best! The people working there are nice and friendly
Excelent service, the food is really good for lunch good options, bread, empanadas really good.
I can only speak on the empanadas they are amazing . I see a lot of bad reviews but for empanadas you can’t go wrong
Homey and welcoming local establishment - definitely stands out from all the hipster, unoriginal and gentrifying businesses that are eating up the neighborhood. This bakery provides really great and authentic food - you can really feel the heart put into it. I love grabbing coffee and baked goods in the morning, but their lunch specials seem really delicious too. Would highly recommend.
I had the pork lunch. Really good and large portions. She explained all the dishes to me which was nice. Thank you!
Croissant and cheese banging wit coffee 5beans and respectful🫰🤩
Warm staff and food at great prices. Homemade spot that definitely needs more attention.

I was looking for a place with some authentic Colombian food and a friend suggested this place. I had the cheese bread (pan de bono) which I was craving, and I also had some chicken empanadas. The food was delicious. Vaccination card was being checked for indoor dining. Will try some other goodies next time i'm in the area
My wife is Colombian and this bakery makes the closest stuff to what I have had in Colombia. The coffee is also very good.

$2.75 empanadas $2ish bread I have been here on and off the past 5+ years. They have inconsistent fillings in empanadas. Had two cheese but one was practically hollow. The Argentinian empanadas was a bit too bready for me. It's a local spot for coffee and such. Coffee can be alittle sweeter even with if opted in for less sugar. Service was nice.

Usually everything is fine, but over the past 2 months the pan de yuca has been BAD: not fluffy inside but just air - all the dough is flat and gummy on one side, and the other side a hard overbaked crust. Issues with dough consistency and/or baking technique - I hope the owner will address.

I dont understand. Is a horrible place. I would recomend this to anyone if u want to try better food go to another place not this one. You will regret. I threw all the food away because it was horrible. Taste texture. Well. My month or stomach didnt stand it.
Yesterday morning, my coworker got a coffee from here after drinking coffee she got diarrhea and vomit. I felt sorry for her. Maybe need to clean the machine just a opinion.

I never ever saw something like this. I don't understand how they serve the food in a plastic cup and charge $9. That's crazy 🤦♂️
Place charged me ten dollars for a container of rice and beans because I couldn’t speak Spanish. Rice and chicken is 12$ for a little background.

Been coming here for years, but lately I’ve been having bad experiences of staff not giving back proper change. I gave $22 bill expecting to get $10 back for an order that came out to $12. The girl insisted I only gave her a $12… which was impossible because I did not have a $10 on me. This is a few times too many… very bad business practice. I will not come back anymore. This happened 11/30 around 2:20pm.
The young man at the front is incredibly rude to customers. He'll treat them as if they're really stupid right in their faces. It's a shame as this place is fine otherwise.
