Mary’s Taqueria Astoria Reviews
The tamales are very tasty, green & mole are my favorite - the green enchiladas con bistec is also a good dish. They offer a great variety of Mexican dishes. Tamales are only weekends tho. Overall, great Mexican local spot to visit if you are around the neighborhood 👌 they also offer a huge selection of Mexican -Latin groceries, vegetables, fruits and more!!
Egg cheese chorizo breakfast sandwich is delicious! Will definitely be trying more menu items!
Best food in the Mexican world 5 stars!!!! And the bread is awesome!!

I freaking love this place! The people who run it and work there are always so welcoming and friendly, the sandwiches are awesome and there are lots of great snacks, treats and drinks.
Delicious. Do yourself a favor and go and eat some carne enchilada tacos from this hidden gem. I don't know their hours but it is worth stopping by on a whim. Seriously mouth watering magic.
I buy breakfast here all the time. Food is great. Workers are polite. You wont be disappointed. Try the pernil sandwich. Or steak and eggs with avocado. 💞
The best Mexican food I’ve had in Astoria, such fresh and delicious ingredients. And great portions. My new go to!!
Good inexpensive homemade Mexican food. Takes a while to cook but all made from scratch. Go...youll be get happy..and full. Take out only.
Havent tried the food yet, friendly staff!
Cozy Bodega with the most badass authentic tacos! Hail Mary twenty-times over for this spot! This cozy little spot has everything Mexican, Viva Mexico! Family owned and run business, absolutely adorable spot. I highly recommend this as one of my Top Ten Bodegas for Munchies and Comfort food. Best advice—take out or delivery. They used to have a chair or bench outside, not sure but if you walk down a couple blocks there’s a park where you can enjoy the sunset with a delicious taco. 🌮
I stopped in when in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a quick, affordable bite. I ordered the Torta Cubano and got a can of soda, was about $14 and change all together. The torta was huge and delicious! The lady at the counter was super sweet as well. Overall a cute spot for takeout with lots of Mexican candies and sodas.
Best spot to get a good meal made with love.
This is a legit taco spot and the food here is excellent! I've ordered from here a few times and I'm ashamed that it took me so long to realise that it was here and so close to home. You can get other Mexican foods here including chicharrón! Thank you Maria and Maria Jr!
while I was in Astoria I searched google for some good Authentic Mexican food. I tried marys , It has a great selection of Mexican groceries , I picked up some fresh made Gorditas which looked amazing and I ordered some Huevos a la Mexicana , SO good , nice spicy salsa rojo and I grabbed some marzipan candy and A strawberry and cream ice pop from the freezer on the way out. There is a small organe table with two chairs so you can eat outside in the sun. Very nice experience A lady came out to ask if I liked the food and of course I loved it , I'm learning Spanish right now so I tried to speak en espanol :)
Amazing food! Best taco’s in the area. They sell out quickly of their specials on weekends. Not surprised!! Love this place!

I ordered a torta with chicken and a bottle of soda for $15. The chicken inside was mixed between fresher cuts and old, black, and leathery pieces of chicken. The cashier was friendly while the cook was not.

I wouldn’t want to be “that“ customer, but today was my first and last time ordering food (I got an egg on a roll) and a coffee from here. While I was waiting, I looked around at the products and noticed that almost all the sweets in the display case were expired. I pointed this out to the cashier, but I didn’t get any explanation or apology or mentioning they’d check and throw them out, nothing. Just silence. So, I just want to let people know DEFINITELY check the expiration dates here. I’m leaving this review, because these sweets are meant for KIDS. This stuff should always be checked because I wouldn’t want my child getting sick from chocolate that expired two months ago! (The photo shows just a small amount of products, the rest I decided not to take pictures of)

Terrible! I placed an order and they didn’t have tamales, they called me to let me know they didn’t have it and I changed it for something else. One hour later I go in to check where the food is and it turns out they cancelled the order but couldn’t call me back to tell me they were doing that. I called the restaurant to ask what had happened and the person that answered was careless and not very helpful.
It's edible not extraordinary and it's made to order home cooking not 5 star dining.
This place doesn't seem like it's doing to well I want to start off by saying the lady's that work here are real nice and respectful the place needs major upgrades and repairs along with cleanlines !!! merchandise on the shelfs are expired and the food isn't great either maybe because they aren't selling much but the meat i was served was not accacceptable hope this encourages them to do better
