Nonnas 1977 Astoria Reviews
Excellent and thoughtful service. Food was excellent and the price was inline with expectations. You'll have a good time.
Fantastic pizza!! Especially the proud Mary. And don’t skip the parm subs - so delicious - I can never decide between the eggplant and chicken so get both. They also do a great job with delivery. They’re temporarily closed, but I’m really hoping they come back soon. Will miss them too much if they don’t.
I had the best experience at this ice cream shop! The team was so warm and welcoming, and the owner is truly an artist — the flavors are next level. The banana pudding and biscuit chai were unreal, like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. You can tell how much care goes into everything they make. On top of the delicious ice cream, the customer service was genuinely incredible. Can’t wait to go back! 🍦✨
Pizza was delicious and the Bomb Parm Hero was mouth watering. Music was perfect and the rice pudding was the best I have had. Delicious and home made. Elisa was super friendly gave me the most honest answer and suggestions. She was super amazing. We also got to meet the owner and he was so sociable and seemed so kind. The place was full but not over full and the prices were super reasonable
I can't thank these guys enough for a great lunch break. It's a bit expensive for me, so I don't go often, but when I do go, they make me feel welcome and as if they've known me a million years. The food is great, the place is fun and has a lot of cool music memorabilia, and they keep the tv on for those of us chilling.
This place is fantastic. I ordered a family meal and a delivery order two separate occasions and they were both incredible. I got a chicken Parm family meal and everyone who ate it that I brought it home to couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. I ordered a personalized pasta with chicken cutlet on a separate occasion and it was fantastic. The best part was they separated the chicken cutlet in the pasta so it wouldn’t get soggy. I don’t write many reviews, but the second I got my order I knew I had to write something because of how delicious everything is. Can’t wait to try more things from here.
Absolutely delicious pizza, umami flavor, fresh and a wide range of different options that are quite unique, on top of the delicious food the lady who was doing the cashier and ordering was super nice and welcoming it really added to the experience. I highly recommend the Angie slice it was so good the artichoke was cooked to perfection and the creaminess of the ricotta was a nice touch. Definitely try this place out!
I will admit this style of pizza is not my preferred but they so a great job of it. The slices are a meal in one with great varieties of toppings from traditional to sweet to savory. There is one thing I would come back for here any day, and it's not the pizza. It's the eggplant rollatini, it's amazing, the best I've had!!! Cool vibe with the rock feel. Welcome to Astoria.
This is a hidden gem for stellar, Roman style pizza in Astoria. These "Magic Pies" are baked in a pan, creating crispy edges with a shockingly light crust. Nothing is overly doughy, so you can eat a number of slices without feeling stuffed. Toppings are assembled in creative and delicious combinations, and each slice is finished with olive oil and freshly shredded grana padano cheese. The place is rock 'n roll themed, so concert videos are projected on the wall, although the volume is kept to a reasonable level.
Really good pizza and good parm dishes - I really wish they’d just start contacting people about being out of stock of an item! Like okay, no chocolate cake cool - I ordered it because I wanted it and a dessert after my meal, call and tell me if there’s an alternative or not.
The Lady Pizza is not Chanterelle mushroom, it’s white button or cremini mushroom. I want to give it a 3 Star but the pizza itself tasted fine, I was just pretty disappointed it was not actually chanterelle since that’s what it said it was. I was a little suspicious since the picture clearly showed cremini mushroom, but I was thinking it could be the wrong picture since it says nothing about button mushrooms. The garlic knots were very good, not dry and the sauce was great!
Killer spot!!!! Has really cute rock and roll vibes with the decoration. Alittle expensive but would come back now and then. I got the vodka/pepperoni slice with hot honey and that was delicious. The square slice had a nice crispyness to it as well. The stuffed artichoke was honestly whatever . Didn’t really taste anything. The spinach and the cheese over powered the artichoke
Two part review: the pizza is definitely good, we ordered here weekly at this point. My only complaint is the consistency. We’ve gotten the same pizza several weeks in row and I feel like it’s been slightly different each time. So my suggestion is to work on that aspect. We’ve also had delivery mistakes twice now in our order so more attention should be paid to orders as well. Overall we love Nonna’s and we’ll keep ordering but that’s my take.
I was lookingforward to having some pizza and pasta for dinner! When I arrived I parked in the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The foods I has was: Proud Mary (pizza) Eva buffalo chicken pizza Bianca white pizza Sweet Caroline pizza penne vodka Chicken parm Eggplant rollatini All the food was good just the Bianca white pizza was ok to me. I also had a white claw while I was there. All in all was a good experience!
I’ve been recovering from surgery and homebound so I treated myself to a pizza delivery for lunch today. I ordered a whole pie, the Gloria, with sausage, roasted peppers, and wild mushroom. I have had the slice in store before and really like it. When the pie arrived, I thought they had made a mistake. There was no sausage! My first slice literally had none. Then I had to look very closely and saw a few little dots of sausage. My guess is the entire pie had maybe a third of a link of sausage spread out. I was really looking forward to it, but I am really disappointed. I am attaching some pictures. (don’t mistake the mushrooms for the sausages. The sausages are the tiny dots of which I have a sample on my finger.) 42 bucks with tip! **update: contacted Nonna’s the next day, per the owner’s response to my review. I just gave my information and order number and the young woman said she would talk to the guy who prepared it. I was hoping to maybe get a side of sausage to go with the pizza, but she said she would just talk to the guy. It’s OK, the pizza is still good and this place makes very good pizza otherwise.
