The food was what I expected. The same good Subway quality made to order. There is no dine in area. The space in kinda tight, only room for 5 to 6 people at a time inside. The service was good. It's New York baby! It was convenient to the apartment, just a 5 minute walk.
This one worker was amazing. I called to ask if I can get extra tomatos and she said "OF COURSE!!!". After that she greeted me nicely, asked me to have a beatiful day. I get my sandwich, I get blessed with an extra of everything with a side of a cookie that I did not order. I am assuming she was the manager, because if not, she really knows how to finesse it.

But what really sets this location apart is the amazing customer service from the management and staff. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and treated like family. They always remember my usual order and often surprise me with little freebies, like a cookie or a drink, which makes my day. I’m especially impressed by how fast they are—on my lunch break, they had my sandwich ready in literally 120 seconds! The team here is efficient, friendly, and genuinely cares about their customers’ experience. Thank you so much to everyone at Subway Astoria for making each visit a pleasure. For $13 the burrito they made was legit the biggest burrito I’ve had! They were so nice and made the food right in front of us. 5 stars especially because their food looks way better than subway right next to them lol
Have had bad experiences in the past at this location, but decided to give it another shot tonight and man am I happy I did! Took awhile to make, but there was one customer ahead, and it was well worth the wait!! Hot, fresh, attention to detail and clearly someone who knows how to make a sandwich. Kudos to the gentleman closing the store and working alone tonight 2/20!

I ordered a tuna sandwich for pickup, and it was ready within minutes - warm and fresh, which I appreciated. However, they are quite skimpy on the ingredients - barely any tuna, definitely not as advertised, and just a few lonely olive slices 😭 It wasn’t bad, but not great either. A very basic tuna sandwich - honestly, you could make a better one at home. 🥪
Astoria Subway was legit today. Haven't been there in probably a year at least and definitely not since the menu/staff upgrades but the food was great and the 3 staff there willingly put up with my stupid jokes and generally pessimism filled demeanor during our ordering so high marks for that. 8/10 overall
Weekend daytime worker doesn’t know how to cut the sandwich
The solo employee was whipping out sandwiches and had been alone all day. Who owns this shop? Where was the management? No one should be left alone all day. While the employee made a great sandwich the bread was horribly dry. Bad manager!!!! When your employees need help you hop in and get it done!
Very disappointed with the new staff that can't make quality sandwiches and nicklin dime you on every single little piece of lettuce that you put on your sandwich. It's quite remarkable how bad the quality is seeing how I've been coming here three times a week for a very long time. The fact that you have to bag for more than four cucumbers on a footlong sandwiches. Ridiculous and don't even get me started on the smattering of lettuce that they try to pass off as quality. Seems only one employee knows how to make a proper sandwich.
Tried to use a coupon, last time I went it it went perfect, today I ordered the same thing and he made me pay full price. Even though I told him it's the same sandwich that i got last time. He did not listen to me, and rung it up as a different sandwich than what I got. 6.99 to 15 dollars. Not satisfied. Not to mention the sandwich just looked thrown together.

The staff is rude, and the pricing is predatory. Refused to add jalapeños to my sandwich since I picked one of the options #8 on their own menu. The tables were dirty. The manager and the staff were rude, i was looking at them make the sandwich and he told me to go sit down. I ignored that request, we are not in a 1st grade classroom. I would defintenly recommend not eating here. I did a mobile order recently and I was eating a steak and cheese sub, and I wondered why it was so chewy. I came for a sandwich and they did not give any meat, they almost gave me an empty bread! Customer service is hit or miss here depending on the person's mood that's serving you. Avoid Sundays, there's a racist guy with an attitude making derogatory and racist comments about whatever you're buying. Corporate should fire that unprofessional employee asap.
I thought Subway means eating fresh. I ordered "Double Protein" 3x from this place, and got nothing but 1 slice layer of meat. I always buy at this place, today 6/16/23 I went to buy a sandwich at 2:20AM and ordered what I always buy a regular meatball sandwich. and the man who served me charged me $13.45 for that sandwich, the most it costs with all taxes is $10 and a bit. To top it off, they didn't give me an invoice or anything. keep a lot of account in this place, they are stealing the employees.

I’ve ordered on the app a few times cause after working my overnight shift, it’s one of the only places close by I can eat. I order 15-20 minutes before I get there and it’s never ready. The guy working late night/early morning always says they’re closed for cleaning while he’s outside on the phone. Until he realizes I already ordered. THEN he starts to make it. This happens EVERY. TIME. This last time the store smelled like dirty armpits. He sloppily makes the sandwich, while still on the phone. I’d rather not eat than deal with this place or this guy again.

Ate a sandwich here yesterday which was the only meal I had, and I have been violently ill for 24 hours. Guy behind the counter was also trying to rip me off when I purchased the food. Paid via the app which included an up-charge for a bottle of iced tea. When I picked up the order he tried to give me a fountain soda and then argued with me that I needed to pay $2 cash for a bottle of iced tea. Never again.
I went to buy a few sandwiches today and the workers there spoke in their own language while making the food, not knowing that we could understand that they were talking about us. While paying, they were talking about whether we would give them a tip or not and when we did not, they started complaining. The service was terrible. They should learn to treat the customers with respect
We had two sandwiches take out and paid with card. But found out they charged 15% of tip on the receipt. So we went back there to ask why since we tapped our card and didn't touch anything and didn't see any tipping suggestion on the screen. 'Mondal' (not sure) if this is the guy's name who worked there, said it's not their problem, it's our problem with such a rude and horrible manner. Pointing in my wife's face yelling "it's your fault, you are wrong" when she was just trying to understand why it happened in the first place. She even suggested checking the camera so as not to be called a liar again and again by this man. He then informed her the cameras do not even work and she is wrong. I guess he's owner otherwise how can he be that rude?! This is one of the best and fastest ways to ruin SUBWAY's brand image if he plans to do it.
The person in charge refused to take my order, claiming he had too many online orders to handle. However, I was the only customer in the store at the time! His refusal of service was accompanied by rudeness towards me. I don’t believe this reflects the standards that Subway requires for its franchises!
I ordered online and used my coupon “buy one get one cold cut foot long”. As soon as I came in the store, I’ve noticed that the place had a funky/sour smell. Once I told them I’m here for pickup, they started yelling about why I ordered 2 cold cuts footlong and got mad because I asked for too much on my sandwich. I told them “I don’t go to subway that often and I’m just here because of the coupon.”. I’ve work in the food industry and their customer service is unacceptable. I ended up throwing the sandwich in the trash, I discovered the that cheese they use has mold on them. Easiest way to waste 15 dollars…
Employees are rude and disrespectful. They have no manners I don’t know where they come from.on top of that they put very little portions on your sandwich. The worse place I ever been too hands down. Does not make the sandwiches like they should. They don't put 2x cheese and very small amounts of meat. They are very unfriendly the many times I visited. Now I go to the 36th street one. Very friendly and always make the sandwiches exactly They way they should be. I suggest don't visit this location on Broadway in Astoria. Also never want to accept coupon, always also charge different prices very time I used to go. Adding for 5/03/2025 visit. Worst attention ever. Order the foot long nachos and it was the worse nachos I ever had. Total rippoff
My family and I stopped in town to essentially visit the famous Goonies house and then decided to drop in for some quick sandwiches. It wasn’t busy and the only employee working was obviously not doing anything productive but from the get go her customer service skills lacked greatly. There was no greeting and we definitely didn’t feel welcomed to be there. There was no other customers in there and she didn’t look like she was cleaning up. She was short with her responses and she definitely made it known that we were an inconvenience. As we left my wife told her to have a “good night” and she proceeded to personally insult my wife. This person must have skipped the customer service portion of her training. Maybe the manager or the owner should conduct some retraining.
Keygi (or however you spell the name) is EXTREMELY RUDE and has absolutely no customer service.We stopped by for some quick sandwiches and when ordering she had a visible issue with helping us. She personally insulted me for no reason in front of my husband and children. This insult came after I told her that I hoped she had a better day because of the short answers and visible attitude she was portraying while we were telling her our orders. When asked what sandwiches needed to be toasted I was letting her know that one of the sandwiches that she placed on her toasting mat did not need to be toasted, she said “I know, I was making room and arranging them”, when she clearly was not. I have never received such horrible service and disrespect. I would like for the manager or owner of this franchise to reach out to me.
Possibly the worst subway I've been to. I have tried to give them a few chances to improve. But the bread is always very dried out. They never have Italian herbs and cheese bread. If you order something toasted online they never toast it. Including things that should just automatically be toasted like chicken bacon ranch and meat ball sub. They are by far the slowest at making sandwiches of any subway I've been to as well.
IGNORED OUR ONLINE ORDER The worst subway and dare I say, worst business in town. We ordered our sandwich’s online and waited for OVER AN HOUR before calling and getting ignored by the staff. And on top of that won’t give us a refund. Never go to this subway
The employees ignored the online orders and were "cleaning" so they didn't even start until I showed up. There was nobody else in the store.
This is by far the worst Subway I have ever been to. Less than 50% of normal additions assortment , pretty much nothing to choose from. Soda machine is broken and almost no drinks in the fridge. No AC inside so pretty much impossible to be there. I don’t know how that location passes being part of otherwise good franchise. Avoid at all costs.
Horrendous. Worst Subway I've ever been to. 1. No A.C, stifling inside 2. Fountain drinks machine broken, and there's barely any options for drinks in the fridge. Not even an orange juice. 3. Missing a bunch of vegetables. 4. Food was stale. Questionable if passes a health inspection. Avoid.
I ordered dinner for my wife and I. My wife's sandwich meatball sandwich came with mayo, lettuce, tomato, the extra meat i paid for was not there. My sandwich, again extra meat, was almost non existent. Pretty sure the sando artist just didn't want to grab the back up or just doesn't care. Either way, to bad! It seems like all locations just lost the quality of food for whatever reason. To bad cooperate doesn't step up and fix things. Just another subway to avoid! There are better places that have sandwiches that are worth your money...
Put in an online order. They called right before pickup and said they were out of everything including bread and to call back. Called back the next day and was told no refund and no subs by a very rude woman. $60 down the drain and they basically laughed at me on the phone.
Update Again. This place is a joke I went through the other day and not only I but two other customers walked out they don't the employee that they had there one female doesn't know anything about the rewards program and is not very friendly on communicating that basically told me it's up to me to put my information in there I'm trying to pull up a code that she needed to type in not that I needed to put information in there but okay then I heard that she's out of everything they are always out of product they don't have ham they don't have turkey or they don't have salami new owners okay again new owners and that is an issue evidently he's not on board so I will not go back to the Astoria Subway ever too many too much of negative happening there for me to take another chance they did have an employee she was wonderful I can't remember her name but she was friendly she knew the business she been there a long time and she's not there anymore they have this other person who doesn't know enough about the business evidently so kudos to you new owners of Subway and Astoria keep it up you'll lose more customers that's not the first time I've been in there they've been out of product and customers walked out then too Update on my past post which was not very favorable but recently I visited and I've got to say new owners again great personalities of employees there's still one that's been there a while and I love her to death she's great I'm sorry I can't remember her name at this moment but she's great was not working when I was in there but the girl that was was funny smiled and laughed a lot served me well and I will definitely give this a five star four-star rating welcome aboard new owners New Owner, this place is clean, staff is great while still learning themselves. Give it a shot and let the owner know what you think. My impression is that he listens and will work on suggestions or complaints within reason, of course. .
These people had no bread at 12:00 lunchtime. The company has pulled away from all accountability because there's no phone number that is not automated and you can only file a complaint if you have a receipt number. This was the worst lunch ever, since it takes me fifteen minutes just to walk there, I stood in line for about ten minutes without being even greeted, they were right there so they saw me. I have already spent way too much energy, I will be spending money for postage to write a letter about my experience today. Did I mention the bathrooms were blocked off. Soo unhappy 😭
Dirty, worn-out place and our sandwiches looked similar. No cheddar on stock, no mayo on stock, the sandwich was doughy and ripped. We should have known when we walked in! We were the only customers there during what should have been mid-week lunch rush hour. This looks very much like a place that is run by people who don't invest in the business and just want to squeeze out as much as they can. I hope the employees are being treated okay but I saw cameras pointed at them (as well as cameras pointed at customers... which is okay), so that's not a good sign ☢️ Needless to say we're not coming back here until we see at least visible changes.
