Lo Kee Atlanta Reviews
This restaurant completely exceeded my expectations. The food was incredible — beautifully presented dumplings with edible flowers, perfectly cooked dishes, and rich flavors in every bite. Everything tasted as good as it looked! The ambiance was just as impressive: elegant, cozy, and perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Lo Kee Restaurant truly impressed me with both the food and the service. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced — you can tell real care goes into every dish. The Asian fusion menu is executed flawlessly. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. An all-around excellent dining experience. Don’t forget dessert!! It was so good! The chocolate dessert was fire! I’ll absolutely be back!
Loo Kee Restaurant Atlanta I recently visited Loo Kee Restaurant in Atlanta with my family, and we enjoyed it extraordinarily. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. Dishes I tried: • Chicken Satays: Juicy and perfectly marinated, accompanied by a delicious peanut sauce. • Chicken Dumplings: Tender, flavorful, and a classic that never disappoints. • Salt & Pepper Pork: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with the perfect balance of salt and pepper. • Edamame Dumplings: Light, fresh, and flavorful, with a surprisingly rich filling. • Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice: Spicy and crispy, an addictive combination. • Black Pepper Beef: Tender beef with an intense black pepper flavor, perfectly seasoned. • Lobster Spoons: Elegant and full of flavor, with fresh lobster shining in every bite. • Short Rib Bao Buns: Soft and fluffy, filled with tender, juicy short rib, absolutely irresistible. Additionally, I want to highlight that the owners are extraordinary people, very kind, and the entire team is excellent, making the experience even more special. Also, the cocktail selection and the variety of wines are absolutely outstanding and spectacular. One thing that also surprised me was the cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s so spotless and beautiful, which is a testament to the great work of the owners and their team. In summary, Loo Kee Restaurant offers a fantastic culinary experience: fresh, well-presented food with authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s perfect for anyone looking for modern, delicious Asian cuisine in Atlanta.🫶
I honestly don't remember how I found out about this place but I'm so happy I did! I loooove Asian food, Le Colonial is usually my go-to but I wanted to give LO KEE a try & they did not disappoint. I also found out their sister restaurant is Sei Less in NYC! I made reservations bc it was a Saturday, but it wasn't busy at all (they're still pretty new) but I doubt it'll stay that way for long 🙂↔️ The ambience & decor are so cute!! Loved The velvet booths, the dim lighting, & the bar area. the music playlist is bomb (I even did a lil karaoke while in the bathroom 😅) the vibe soft 90s R&B and it's NOT loud so you can actually have a conversation at your table lol which is very underrated in Atlanta. There's also a patio outside though I didn't get a good look at it, so not 100% sure of the set up. Our server jasmine was very attentive and so sweet! The drinks were good as well (try the Sir Davis cocktail or the spicy Marg! 🌶️). Now for the food, 100/10! We tried the lobster spoons & crispy tuna rice. The lobster was sooo buttery & flavorful. The spicy tuna crispy rice was good as well but I'd probably skip it next time as it was a lil *too* crispy for the roof of my mouth 🫠 DEFINITELY try their lo mein/fried rice!!! It was highly recommended by our server. The veggie lo mein was super tasty. We also got the filet mignon & broccoli, and the sweet & sour chicken! I enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken more but both were good. All in all, I will definitely be back!
It’s located next to the Interlock building in West Midtown. They offer valet for $20, or you can self-park in the garage next door. The garage can be confusing. Elevators and stairs are in different places on each floor and drop you off on different sides of the building. Floors are labeled with “F” in the stairs and “G” in the elevator, which makes it even more confusing. Take a photo of where you park. We took the stairs down, which exited close to the restaurant, but it’s a one-way door, so we couldn’t get back in. It took a while to find our car afterward, so just be prepared. The restaurant gets busier as the night goes on, so it’s best to make a reservation for weekend dinners. The interior has a nice contemporary “West-meets-East” design. Double white tablecloths look elegant but can get messy easily. Service was excellent. Our server, Joshua, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. We ordered: • Lobster Spoons: a definite hit. • Apple Salad: good, but it’s literally all apples with dressing, not a mixed salad. My family enjoy it. • Short Rib Bao Buns: soft buns and tender pork belly. Not my personal favorite, but great for meat lovers. • Shrimp Steamed Dumplings: another hit. Fresh shrimp and perfectly thin dumpling skin. • Grand Marnier Jumbo Prawns: we all loved this dish. Fresh, well-seasoned, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked. • Chocolate Cake: simple and not overly sweet. Prices are on the higher side, but this is fine dining in West Midtown, so it’s expected. This is not your typical Buford Highway Chinese restaurant, completely different atmosphere and dining style, so don’t compare the two. My family enjoyed both the food and the service. A 20% service fee is automatically added, but they still print suggested tip amounts at the bottom, so double-check your bill to avoid accidentally double tipping. We had a great experience, so we were fine with the added 20%. Overall, I appreciate the good balance of seafood and meat dishes and the variety on the menu. We liked our meal and will be back to try more. Highly recommended!
Valet parking available but there are by the hour parking garage nearby. Dimly lit atmosphere was nice. Service was great and prompt. Try the lychee Martini & the Sir Davis drink. The oxtail spring rolls are addictive. Wish I had taken more pics but food was coming out fast& its food you want to eat while still warm. Would definitely go back
Very pleasantly surprised. The Manager Alexis greeted us and our entire experience was first class. The Satay Chicken with peanut sauce was incredible and we ended up ordering seconds of the spare ribs. Great vibe, great staff, and very fair pricing. Could be good for a casual dinner, date night, or even a business dinner. Highly recommend.
Came for a girls night out and had theee time of our lives! Great ambiance, speedy drinks, I quite literally could not find anything to complain about. Prices were definitely worth it and understandable :) our server (Ashara) was amazing. She had so many suggestions and constantly made sure we were taken care of throughout the night!
My favorite go to spot sometimes it can be so overwhelming in Atlanta going to a intimate setting without seeing everyone you know but me and my girls had a time and the food was absolutely amazing. ATP I think we had one of everything on the menu it was nothing I didn’t enjoy along with our waitress that had great recommendations! So happy to find a new “Lo Kee” spot to kick back thanks again🫶🏽
We liked the wide selection of appetizers and the drinks were delicious. To name a few things we enjoyed… the short rib bao buns, chicken lo mien, and the Beijing Chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant and they are open late.
Great ambience & energy! Sahara Was my server, and you guys have have a winner with her. She was friendly and very knowledgeable of the items on the menu. She made some suggestions and they were really great, Customer service seems to be a lost art form now days, I was very impressed with the service here.
Celebrated my birthday here a few nights ago with my family. Had a terrific time with the our waiter and manager were super friendly. Food was super delicious and the drinks hit the spot (although not too strong). We will be back.
So excited for this new restaurant in Atlanta! Perfect location for West Midtown as it reestablishes is food culture anchored by nearby greats like The Optimist, Eight Sushi and Avize. It’s sexy, subtle decor is the perfect backdrop for a girls night out, date night, and even a sunny afternoon drink. The food was so delicious. We ordered the lobster spoons, yellow tail sashimi, chicken lettuce wraps, shrimp lettuce wraps, bao buns, bok choy, Chilean sea bass, oxtail spring rolls and lobster siu mai. Every single thing was delicious. Can’t wait for this to become everyone’s favorite spot.
I love EVERYTHING !! Every thing was perfect! I love my server Andrew, he was amazing. Everyone was extremely attentive. This was a great experience, I will be back soon!
I had an incredible experience at Lo Kee in West Midtown! The ambience was absolutely amazing; stylish, vibrant, and perfect for a night out. My waitress Julia was phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The food and drinks were impeccable, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Everything about this spot felt elevated yet comfortable. Definitely one of my new favorite places in the city! The owners Dara and Ivi have outdone themselves.
I made the right decision to dine here for my birthday. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Everything was delicious. 10/10 and I loved the ambience music was perfect.
Me and my friends went to visit this weekend. I loved the drinks, my server was very attentive and helpful, food was tasty and I loved that they surprised me with a birthday cake. Will definitely go back! (The edamame dumplings are to die for).
The space is a mix of modern and classic with the white table cloth. Lovely ambiance, tasty food and very good service. You gotta try to oxtail egg rolls!
Hubby and I ate here last night. The food, service and atmosphere were on point! The owner is very cool and welcoming. I definitely recommend it!
Do you want to taste the special Asian food???? Visit Lokee restaurant and enjoy its diverse food. Professionalism and quality of food and cleanliness always make the difference. A big BRAVO to Ivi and Dara. Good luck guys.💪🙏👍
I highly recommend Lokee! The food, atmosphere, and the service was amazing! They played great music and everything we ate was delicious! The short rib was the best I’ve had! A perfect place for a date night or a night out with the girls!
I was pleasantly surprised with my visit here. The ambience was beautiful, I love the style of the menu and the service was fantastic. Our server was Key/Kee ironically and she made great suggestions & was an overall joy to have at my first visit! She even surprised us both with birthday desserts. The food was delicious & I love the shareable plate options. I can’t wait to come at a later time in the evening & see how live it gets!
Love, love love this place. Food was amazing. The customer service was exceptional, and the ambience was definitely a vibe. We enjoyed our waiter Ely, Who served us with excellence and a great sense of humor. Also Shout out to Chef Maximilian chocolate mousse dessert! We will be back!
Lo KEE in Atlanta is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, making it perfect for an easy night out. The menu offers a thoughtful mix of Thai cuisine favorites with creative twists, and every dish I tried was packed with flavor. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the team made the whole experience feel warm and personal. Special thanks to Monday, the manager, whose professionalism and friendliness elevated our visit—her attention to detail and welcoming energy truly set the tone. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a laid-back but memorable dining experience.
I’ve been twice. My second experience was better than my first. I really enjoyed my side car and lobster lomein. The lobster cups are cool. Much better than the first time. I also enjoyed the chicken satay, although the preparation is a little different than what I’m used to. The ambiance and music is always on point.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at all Lo Kee. My friends and I tried the Ox Tail Spring Rolls along with the Kao Pao Chicken, Vegetable Fried Rice, Short Rib, Chicken Dumplings, and Cauliflower. EVERYTHING was delicious. We each enjoyed our drinks. I had the Lychee Martini,🍸 and I can see why it’s one of their top sellers. Our server, Ely, was fantastic! He was funny and engaging but professional. He made great recommendations for the night. Excellent service! The food came out steaming hot and I greedily dug in. 10/10. I will definitely be back again.
Came last night after hearing about this new spot Lo Kee and was impressed beyond. The atmosphere and aesthetic was warm and inviting. What made the time spent even better was the exceptional service given by Andrew. All of his recommendations were delightful. We had the rock shrimp tempura, shrimp dumplings, oxtail spring roll, chilean sea bass and short rib. I will be back and if you want top tier service with a smile, ask for ANDREW!
Lo Kee’s food was absolutely amazing! Worth every dime! Beautiful restaurant with a nice vibe. Thank you to Chef Max for the Frozen Hot Chocolate dessert 10/10! He even came by and dropped the dessert off personally. I will definitely be going back!
This review is not necessarily about race, but rather about what can happen when everyone is on one accord and willing to listen to one another. When that happens, an amazing and growing experience is possible. This evening, Lokee not only provided incredible food and cocktails, but also one of the most respectful and responsive dining experiences we’ve had. As women of the Afro-Diaspora, we understand that we are often stereotyped, and we are very mindful and aware of that. What stood out tonight was the opportunity for everyone involved to learn—about service, communication, and how to treat one another with kindness and respect in a restaurant setting. Our server, Ashira, was absolutely organic in her approach—so genuine, innocent, and beautiful in her style of service. We did experience an issue with the timing of one of our entrées, and initially the manager did not handle the situation in an open-minded or unassuming way. However, once we addressed the cause and effect, we made it clear that we did not want the item removed from our bill—we simply wanted the situation handled with understanding and consideration. After expressing how poorly and insensitively we felt the issue was first addressed, the owner came over and truly listened. Even the manager, who seemed insensitive in her initial delivery, returned and sincerely corrected herself and worked to make things right. Alex ultimately turned out to be amazing, and the owner is top-notch in how he builds, corrects, and professionally supports his team—while still ensuring the guest feels heard and valued. What could have been a negative moment turned into an amazing dining experience. We are incredibly grateful to Lokee for providing some of the best food and service the three of us have ever experienced together. This evening was a reminder of the importance of patience, kindness, and mutual respect. We can’t wait to support again.
Lo Kee Atlanta is an absolute vibe! From the moment we sat down, the service was par to none. Carlton was our server and he was phenomenal. He was attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and made us feel like VIPs the entire night. EB, the manager, also checked in and you can tell the excellence starts from the top. The whole team knows what they’re doing. Now the FOOD? Listen… everything came out cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the salt & pepper shrimp, the cucumber salad, the lobster spoons, and the oxtail rolls with fried rice. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and plated beautifully. The bartender also deserves a shoutout — they really know how to craft a cocktail. Balanced, creative, and delicious. The whole experience was fun, inviting, warm, and just downright enjoyable. I’m already planning my next visit. Five stars across the board! Don’t walk, RUN to Lo Kee!!!!
We had such a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely amazing — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they take pride in both the quality and presentation of their dishes. The service was just as impressive. Our server, Ely, was exceptional! Ely was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The level of care and professionalism truly elevated our entire dining experience. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant — and if you can, ask for Ely!
Lo Kee absolutely blew us away. We went last night and had such an incredible meal. We ordered a ton of dishes and every single one was a hit. Truly not a bad bite. Alexis took amazing care of us and made the whole experience feel effortless and fun. The atmosphere is moody, vibey, and sexy in the best way, and the drinks were just as good as the food. Overall, we were so impressed and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend checking this place out
This restaurant is a 10/10 all around, I mean it. The food, drinks, and service were absolutely outstanding, and I will definitely be back. Me and my bestie sat at the bar and ordered cocktails along with several dishes. We had the lobster fried rice, Beijing chicken, and black pepper beef ,everything was incredible! Both the chicken and the beef were so juicy and tender that they literally melted in your mouth. After dinner, we ordered The Milk Man for dessert and were completely blown away. The pastry chef, Maximilian was very nice and kind . He explained the dessert we ordered and how every element of the dessert was made of milk! He even gave us a sample of the winter citrus dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I truly can’t express how amazing everything was, and on top of that, everyone was so kind and welcoming. Thank you so much, Lo-Kee ! we will absolutely be back!
Had an amazing birthday dinner. Our waiter, Carlton, was truly a vibe pure excellence, great energy, and he really made the experience memorable. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the vegetable lo mein and the filet mignon with broccoli, and everything was cooked just right. The bill was very reasonable too, which was a great bonus. Overall, a great experience from start to finish.I
LoKee was recommended to me from a friend and they raved about how good the food was. So I went to see for my myself with a date of mine. We sat at the bar and ordered some appetizers and drinks. But the stars of the night were the desserts. We tried “the citrus” and “the milkman” both were phenomenal. The pastry chef, Maximilian, came out to ask how the desserts were and we let him know they were amazing. He was also very nice and knowledgeable about his desserts. 10/10 def recommend
The food and service were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Every single person we interacted with was extremely kind, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the entire experience even better. The highlight was the dessert made by Maximillion, it was outstanding and easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. You can really tell there’s care, pride, and attention to detail put into both the food and the service. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
Everything about this restaurant is 10/10. The ambiance is beautiful and the food matches. I had the cucumber salad, apple salad, oxtail egg rolls, filet mignon & broccoli, fried rice. With two Hennessy side cars. Everything was made to perfection and brought out in a timely manner. The music was an r&b vibe, everyone is dressed classy and the staff makes sure to check on you periodically. I will definitely be returning.
The vibes here were immaculate! Great music, welcoming atmosphere, and our waiter Andrew was the absolute best! He gave great suggestions for food and drinks which all lived up to our expectations and he had a great personality that made our night out even more enjoyable.
Judging by the food alone, Lo Kee is a 5-star exceptional experience. But some unfortunate non-culinary issues force me to drop their rating to 4-stars. The Food: We ordered five dishes, and four of them were delightful. The Yellowtail Sashimi was incredible, and the Salt & Pepper Pork Dumpling was top-notch. In terms of the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was also a homerun, but our absolute favorite was the Short Rib. So amazingly tender and flavorful! The only unimpressive and pedestrian dish was the Beef Lo Mein. So hats off to their culinary staff! Amazing food! One Major Qualm: We sat right in front of the kitchen, and their kitchen door as always ajar. So their beautiful ambiance was marred by the unobstructed view of the kitchen and their staff. It was extremely distracting. The sounds emanating from the kitchen enveloped us and both my wife and I felt like we were sitting inside the actual kitchen. Not acceptable! Three Minor Qualms: 1) The restaurant opens at 5pm and we arrived at 5:10pm. They were open, but not ready to receive the public. They were still mopping floors, the hostess was harried, and our server wasn’t available. It took them approximately 10 mins to get their act together. You must be ready for the public when you open your doors! 2) A high-end Asian fusion restaurant should never give you disposable chopsticks. You are NOT the Panda Express. Give us real chopsticks! 3) Their bussing service needs revamping. When topping off our sparking waters, the bussers would bang the bottles on our glasses. Or at the very least lean the bottles on our glasses while refilling them. Let me also mention that our server, Ashara, was very attentive and courteous. With great food, Lo Kee will succeed if they address these aforementioned issues. We spent $213 for a 2-person meal, including a 20% tip (no alcohol, no dessert, 2 appetizers, 2 entrées, 1 side, and sparkling water).
Our server knew the menu well and made great suggestions. He brought the energy and was accommodating. We loved the throwback 80s-90s music. Overall, the food was good but not amazing. The yellowtail was decadent with a flavorful sauce. The lobster shumai were a little overcooked and lacked flavor. The rock shrimp had a nice tempura crust and tangy sauce with a welcomed heat. The oxtail was flavorful. The ribs were tender and seasoned well but not fall off the bone tender. We got the nine seasons shrimp, but it was just okay. I wonder if the other jumbo shrimp would have been better. The filet was probably the best thing in the menu.
The vibe and aesthetic of Lo Kee was absolutely beautiful….however, I did go to the restaurant to eat and the food was very subpar unfortunately. Not sure the food lived up to the hype of the restaurant, but our waitress was really nice. I ordered the oxtail egg rolls, filet mingon and broccoli, fried rice, bao buns, and my boyfriend got the Beijing chicken…. There was nothing I ate that was extraordinary. The apple slices on the bao buns also threw me off.
Atmosphere 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Food … out of 3 appetizers and a main course we only liked 1 item. The oxtail spring roll. I still wanted to give this place a fair try even with the not so great food reviews. Server was so sweet. I was disappointed to be proven right regarding the bad food. I would come back for drinks though but I would really advise that the food be revamped. Maybe get a different chef. As an Asian food lover this really was incredibly dissatisfying. Especially finding out this is a NYC based establishment. Atlanta has amazing Asian cuisine so you guys will need to do better. $300 and didn’t eat majority of the food. Sent everything but the one item back.
Went here last night for my anniversary. When booking, it asked if we had any notes and i asked to be seated somewhere a little more intimate and away from the doors. They stuck me and my gf in a 2 seat side table pressed up against a big pillar and a flat space with a lamp on it. I could barely squeeze between the tables to sit, our waiter also had a hard time getting between the space to take our orders. As for the food, we ordered the oxtail spring rolls, lobster lo mein, shang hai spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken, and the four season black prawns with crispy rice and 1 drink a piece. Out of everything, the oxtail rolls and the ribs were the best tasting items. Everything else gave Chinese takeout with a twist. The prawns had no seasoning, just a chili pepper sauce slapped on them and it was the same with the crispy rice which i wasnt even sure what it was supposed to taste like, but it just tasted like sweet chili sauce. This is a place i don’t need to come back to twice, especially with the %20 service fee already meshed into the total. I added a star for Ely, he was a great waiter and had us laughing throughout the night.
The food and desserts were good. Maximillian the pastry chef came and spoke to us at our table to explain the desserts, which was so incredible! Our waiter was also great! However the other service and ambience was so weird. The doorman was rude to us when we came in because of how we were dressed and refused to open the door. When we checking in for our reservation the hosts were very strict about a 90 minute seating time when the restaurant was never full while we were there. A 20% service fee was included for all parties. They also played very explicit uncensored club / trap music the whole time. Food & desserts were good, but such a weird environment.
Lo Kee is located just outside off the interlock. The host was very friendly and I decided to set at the bar. The bartender was also very friendly and assisted with letting me know what to order. The overall vibe of the restaurant was chill, it was about 6 pm when I arrived on a Wednesday. Ok now for the food. I ordered the short rib bao buns, oxtail spring rolls, chicken lo mein, salt & pepper prawns, & sweet & sour chicken. All recommended by the bartender. -The oxtail spring rolls were the best of everything that was ordered 6.8/10. Great oxtails but the spring roll was excessively oily. -The short rib bao buns were average. The short rib was decent , the bao bun itself was very soft and fluffy but for whatever reason they added an obnoxious amount of sauce and apple slices to the bun. 5/10 -The chicken lo mein was good, but for $20 I expected something exceptional. I’ve had “hood” lo mein for $8 that was equally as good. 5/10 -Similarly, the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t bad but it was very similar to food court mall food. For $29, it was EXTREMELY underwhelming. 5/10 -The Salt & Pepper Prawns….Probably the most disappointing item of the evening. I expected large grilled or blackened prawns maybe with the heads on, but received small fried shrimp . The flavor was pretty good . But for $35 I felt robbed. 2/10 The drinks were very good at the bar and the service was really good. But the food for the price point left ALOT to be desired. The food was ok, but for “upscale” Asian, it was absolutely not worth the price. You can go to your local Neighborhood Asian restaurant and receive better and much cheaper food. I think this place is going for the TAO vibe, but it fell extremely short. Hoping that they will upgrade the quality so that they can stick around in a very volatile west midtown area. Cool place for a drink but I’d skip ordering food
First and foremost, Carlton was a wonderful server. Checking on us and doing everything to make us feel welcome, comfortable and satisfied. So service was 5 stars!!! Having said that, I was a bit disappointed with the food. My feedback: 1) Broccoli - while the broccoli was a great texture, the garlic sauce was meh, not the full flavor garlic I was looking for and expecting (honestly, I feel like I had better at my favorite local Chinese spot in NYC) 2) Lobster Spoons - Again, broth flavor was not bursting (was the butter unsalted?) and was cold-ish. And when I asked Carlton if it was supposed to cold-ish, we immediately got a replacement for the remaining two that was "straight out of the kitchen" but the temp was unfortunately the same. So cold-ish just didn't hit the way we have had hot lobster. 3) Yellowtail Sashimi - probably the dish I most enjoyed but still wasn't up to par with the freshness I have had at upscale Japanese restaurants. 4) Spareribs - extremely disappointed with these as the only thing I could compare them to was a McRib (too sweet with no balance to the sweetness) 5) Salt and pepper pork potstickers - dough was great but too much meat ( not well balanced) and meat itself tasted dry The atmosphere was cute (good for a date night unless your date is a foodie, and I agree with review below that curtains need updating), I really wanted to like this spot and was genuinely excited to treat a friend to dinner there for her birthday but we both left quite disappointed with the food. The only thing that made the night was Carlton.
Lo Kee was subpar at best! It was a total of 5 at our table (1 late arrival and only had 1 drink and the short ribs Land portion), tab was $680 with the 20% auto grat. Plus we tipped an additional $120 because we are over tippers. Food came out at all different times, no uniformity even though we ordered entrees all at once, with our short ribs being forgotten all in all and drinks took forever or was wrong. There were only 4 other tables during our visit. Bok Choy: best item we ate but was like warm. Shrimp fried rice: came out cold and lacks flavor. Short Rib Bao Bun: super huge cuts of apple on a small portion of meat and drowning in jicama fried strips. Short Rib Land: lackluster, we expected it to be the best dish ordered. They also forgot our 2 orders so they came well after everything when we asked the manager for her attention to our table. Lobster spoon: temperature was off, lacked salt, just butter and lemon. Yellowtail: we had 2 orders and it’s 5-6 slices in a bowl…temperature was off and the bowl didn’t make sense. Salmon: came out lukewarm, lacked flavor and miso mirin sauce was almost too salty. Grand Marnier Jumbo Prawns: they weren’t jumbo just butterflied large shrimp fried…essentially they were just Honey Walnut Shrimp. Taste great but they weren’t warm. Our server Josh was nice but needs to have either tables of 2 or less or he needs a server assistant. Kitchen needs to run all food at the same time with the correct temperatures. Disconnect between the bar and server on our orders and swiftness needs to be worked on. Also, it’s an ASIAN fusion restaurant so plate settings should include chop sticks automatically (definitely not the cheap disposable ones). We won’t be coming back.
I was really disappointed with my birthday dinner experience. It took an extremely long time just to get seated, which already put a damper on the night. When our food finally started coming out, one of the appetizers was served cold and clearly had been sitting out. To make matters worse, I never even received my entrée because the manager informed us that the chef had gone home. For a night that was supposed to be special and celebratory, the lack of organization and care completely ruined the experience.
My family and I went here for my sisters birthday. We had a reservation but had trouble finding the restaurant, so we were a few minutes late. Once we arrived, we were seated immediately. We had Andrew as our server and he was absolutely lovely! He was attentive, welcoming, and very knowledgeable on the menu. Andrew took our orders promptly. The atmosphere was great! Loved the music and the vibes of the restaurant. Our drinks and apps came. We ordered dumplings, oxtail spring rolls, wonton soup, and short rib bao. Everything was delicious! Soon after our entrees came. We ordered vegetable, chicken, shrimp lo mein, and steamed broccoli. Everything was going so well. I was thinking of other opportunities when I can come back with friends. But that thought quickly escaped after my sister found a strand of hair in her food. My sister had her hair tied back so we knew the possibility of her hair going into her food was slim. My hair is short so it wasn't mine. And my other sisters hair is very curly and the hair stand was straight which helped us come to the conclusion that the strand of hair could have come from the restaurant. Once we made our own assessment of the strand of hair we quickly notified Andrew and he was able to see the hair. He apologized for the matter and told us he would have to include his manager Alexis to try to rectify the situation. I understand that mistakes can happen in any restaurant, including the occasional issue with food quality. What matters most is how management handles the situation. Unfortunately, that’s where this experience fell apart. When my sister politely brought a hair in her meal to the Alexis ’s attention, instead of apologizing or offering a reasonable solution, she suggested that the hair may have come us. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially as a paying customer who raised a legitimate concern calmly and respectfully. A simple acknowledgment and effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel blamed for something entirely out of my control. Because of the way this was handled, I won’t be returning and would caution others that customer concerns may not be taken seriously here.
I made a RSVP to come here for my anniversary. We arrived on time for our RSVP. We were sat fairly quickly. However we did not get a server. Someone came a brought us water(they charged us for a bottle of water, then used the same bottle to refill the table next to us). After about 30 min A woman whom I believe to be the manager came and took our drink order. It took about 15 min for our drinks to arrive. We had decided we would leave after the drinks if no one came to explain to menu or take our order. Fortunately when she brought our drinks back she quickly took our order(while she was nice and professional, she wasn’t very personable, there were no recommendations for food or drinks, it was our first time there and we were not familiar with the menu) by the time our food arrived it took about an hour and a half. We never got water refills, we were never asked if we wanted drink refills. We got some Togo boxes and decided to finish our anniversary elsewhere. The food was good. Tbh this place is like an overpriced Panda Express will almost the same menu. $25 dollars for beef lo main or fried rice. Is a little much. I’d be willing to give them another shot (not for a special event) but maybe sit at the bar and get some apps. For the price of the entrees I’d go elsewhere for better portions and quality
