Great sushi. So happy to have a solid sushi place in Auburn- finally! Fish is fresh, rolls are delish and not too sauce-heavy and worth the price. Generous sizing and great combos. Especially loved the Lemon Salmon roll, such a great combo of flavors! We ordered to go but looking forward to dine in for a date night because the ambiance looks great. Sushi bar was cleannnnnn *chefs kiss*

I am very impressed by this sushi spot. I have been to lots of sushi restaurants and this one has blown me away. Service was exceptional and the sushi was even better. David’s special is a roll I would eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend this place.

Me and my husband live in Auburn but anytime we’ve wanted good sushi we’ve always had to drive to Roseville/sac since there aren’t really any “amazing” options here. We decided to give Sake a try since we saw it was new and didn’t feel like driving so far. We were SO surprised by how good the food, atmosphere, and staff were. The food was amazing, the “David’s special” was actually the best sushi roll me and my husband have ever tried. (And that’s competing with blue Nami and Mikuni and a few other popular spots) the staff was amazing, food came out so good and quick, the place was super clean, and the price was so worth it. Definitely our new go to sushi spot and it’s such a win since it’s IN AUBURN!!

I had a great experience at Sake Sushi! The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive from the start. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and asked to substitute the chicken thigh for breast—and they did it with no extra charge, which I really appreciated. It’s little things like that that make a difference! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Overall, great service, good portion sizes, and a really positive experience.

I was craving sushi and my daughter recommended Sake Sushi. We did go 9pm on Friday, it was busy but did get a table quick. We ordered food and received food pretty quickly for how busy they were. We ordered sushi rolls and some of the Korean items, great menu choices for those that do and don’t like sushi. And when they say the sushi rolls are good size, do believe them. I ordered 2 rolls not believing they would be good size, oppss my bad, next time I know yo order 1. But all the rolls looked so yummy it was hard narrowing down to 2, guess I just need to go back to keep trying them all. Walked out with more than a full tummy, felt the sushi tasted so fresh and wasn’t drowning in sauces. I want to enjoy dinner out on their front patio next visit.

Deliscious and wonderful place in Downtown Auburn

Right when I walked into Sake Sushi, the customer service was top notch. David, Kyle, and Nate all took great care of me and made sure I had everything I needed. The food came out super fast and was honestly amazing — fresh and high quality. My drinks were always refilled right away without even having to ask. I was served within about 5 minutes, which really shows how much they care about their customers. Overall, they took great care of me from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend anyone looking for a great sushi spot in Auburn to check this place out!

Third time at Sake tonight. We didn’t have a reservation, but were sat immediately (even though it was very busy). Our server, Kyle, was the absolute best! Attentive, personable, and charismatic. Food was great. Unagi and sake nigiri, stuffed mushroom, mixed tempura, spicy edamame, dragon roll, and spicy Johnny were great! Shrimp killer and the torched roll we ordered were not our faves. We will be back soon and definitely recommend this place to anyone in, around, and/or visiting the Auburn area.

This place IS LEGIT. Hands down the Best Sush we've found since we moved here. Modern ambiance, good music, clean bathrooms, generous ginger & THE FOOD...Fresh! The Korean wings were lightly sauced & crisped to perfection. Auburn, Sacramento & Cherry Blossom rolls To Die for. Absolutely going back🍤🍣

Ever since ninja up and closed this place is a great substitute. Way better than you would expect from a small town in the foothills. Nice selection and a good selection of Korean dishes as well.

Great Sushi! Love the ramen! Appetizers are delicious!! The booths are cozy and great for date nights and meeting friends. Very family friendly, our kids love the rolls and bento boxes. The bar seating is fantastic for the up close and personal sushi experience! Service is excellent and location is perfect, near the Downtown Clock Tower and Downtown Auburn Central Square - so many great shops to visit before and after filling your tummy!

Sake sushi is my favorite sushi spot in Auburn! Their Korean food options are also delicious. I would highly suggest the Sacramento roll, the honey chicken bowl, and the beef bulgogi. Great service, well priced, and fresh fish!

Today was our second time dining at Sake Sushi. The reason why we came back was because the first time our kids absolutely loved the sushi and the service was excellent- so we wanted to come back. Today was even better. Fresh fish, sushi rolls are great size, restaurant is clean and so are bathrooms, and service we got was amazing. The only criticism that I can find to give is this: miso soup would be even better if 10-15 degrees hotter. Otherwise everything else is just amazing. We will definitely be back!

Finally! A good sushi place in Auburn. Everywhere else over sauces everything and uses lower quality fish. Sake Sushi is the opposite (in the best way). So happy to support this business and eat their delicious sushi. This is now our go-to spot!

From the stuffed jalapeños, bbq albacore, and the 4 rolls we got! Delicious! They also had a build your own hand roll plate which was super fun for our 7 year old to make his own hand roll. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, with the understanding that food preparation would be delayed. It was well worth the wait. We had an appetizer and four different rolls. One of our chief complaints about most local sushi restaurants is that all of the rolls generally taste the same. It was not the case here--each roll has a unique flavor. Also, their use of high-quality nori (dried seaweed) makes the rolls easy to eat without having to tug and twist off a bite (a common occurrence with inferior nori). The wait staff was excellent! All friendly, attentive and efficient. I highly recommend giving this place a try. If you happened to be one of the few we noticed leaving before being seated, please give them some time to complete the kitchen expansion, and then come back again... you won't be disappointed. We are definitely going to return. Oh, and if you go in the next couple of weeks and Kyle is your waiter, please make sure to compliment him on his nice haircut.

The owner came from another local sushi restaurant and she has done a phenomenal job with her new restaurant! Her fish is incredibly fresh! Everyone at my table was in love with their food! I followed her to her new location because she cares about her guests experience! I also noticed her former staff followed her as well which speaks volumes for her! They are still working on staff and learning new POS… so please be patient and kind! Our service was slow but well worth the wait!!! Great job Baya and staff! I will be back time and time again!

So this is hard. We’ve dined here about 5 times. All have been pretty good experiences. One we were charged another tables tab plus ours. This time, Mother’s Day. We came in around 1:30. Outside seating was about 80% full. Inside about 90%. Took about 10min to be seated. Once seated, we decided to order right away as others were coming in and if they ordered before us we knew it would take an additional 15+ minutes for our order to arrive. 3 of our plates took around 30 minutes to arrive. The fourth did not. I watched as others received multiple plates as we waited. I ended up going to the front to ask. They started it then. We waited another 10 minutes for it to arrive. About an hr after ordering. It appeared that they had the same number of staff as they normally do minus one or two. As for the food, great as always.

Food first, I had the maguro (tuna) sashimi, the quality of the fish is excellent good mouth feel and flavour. I was less impressed with the sushi the fish on top was great, but the rice was very dense and chewy and the crab meat was basically filler not bringing much to the roll. They have a rather large menu with noodles, ramen, and teriyaki for the family members that avoid raw fish. The service was very slow we came in around 6pm on a Saturday and the place was fairly full, we were able to be seated right away but the time between server visits and the delay for food was rather long. The servers were super friendly. The atmosphere, it has that popular local spot vibe, there is music playing in the background and sports on the tvs. The booths and chairs are hard and not very comfortable. The noise level varied between barely hearing each other across the table and comfortable conversation with music in the backround. There does appear to be some outdoor seating available but there are no heaters so it will be cold in the winter. They have forks and helper chopsticks on request. Overall it's a nice restaurant but won't be my go to sushi spot. I give the food a 4 and the service and atmosphere a 3.5 for an overall 4.

The food was perfectly fine. However their booth seats are VERY uncomfortable. It had almost zero cushion and felt as if I was sitting on a concrete floor.

My kids and I were happy to try this place out. Unfortunately we were disappointed took about 30 minutes to get any waters at the table while other tables that were seated after us got theirs right away.. the server was pleasant when he came to the table. Getting appetizers to just as long to bring out.. sushi was not bad but not the greatest..

Went here for dinner with three people. The hostess let us know their inside tables were full but gave us the option to sit outside. We sat outside, asked for waters, and waited. We waited about 30 minutes but nobody came back to our table. There was another table with people outside that also seemed to have been waiting for help for a while. I went inside to talk with the hostess and see if I could get our waters and maybe place an order. I waited for several minutes but never saw the hostess. Finally we just cut our losses and left to get dinner somewhere else. Maybe they were just having an off night and we’ll try back another time. But if they seat people outside, they should probably plan to check on those tables eventually.
