Chi'Lantro Austin Reviews
Brick & mortar location of a great food truck. Basically a Korean BBQ joint with a taco spin. Kimchi fries are fantastic as long as you can handle the carbs. Since it's a counter-serve place, all the dishes are very customizable. Fast service and if all the tables are full, all the dishes can be served in To-Go boxes.
Chi'lantro in Austin offers fantastic food and exceptional customer service. The Kimchi Fries were bursting with flavor, combining crispy fries, tangy kimchi, savory bulgogi, and delicious sauces. The Tofu Noodle dish featured perfectly cooked tofu, a medley of vegetables, and noodles. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Chi'lantro is a must-visit for those craving a fusion of Korean and Tex-Mex cuisines in a welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely, mostly healthy fast-food bowl restaurant. You can choose from their bowl offerings or build your own bowl. Fast, polite service and fresh items to chose from. Looks like there are nicer locations closer to us so will probably choose to go to a different location next time. Sauces can be calorie dense and tasty or light (but also tasty), depends on your choice.
First time here, the staff was super friendly and helpful. She explained everything in detail and we didn't feel rushed. Kimchi tasted awesome. I also really liked the corn that's close to the register, forgot its name. The soy chicken my son had was a bit dry in my opinion. I would visit again next time I'm in Austin.
Received great customer service from one of the original locations. Had not been to this particular Chi'lantro location before, heard they had an expanded menu; well worth the trip. Start to finish we had an excellent experience. Almost everyone in our party ordered something they could not get at the location near the Domain. Even the pickiest of eaters came close to finishing everything. While I order the same thing each time, I did decide to mix it up a bit, and was well rewarded for trying a variant of my standard order.
I was headed down to Stubb’s for a show and decided to stop someplace new to me for dinner first. Glad I chose Chi’Lantro. I ordered the original with marinated tofu along with an order of street corn and chips. The food came out pretty quickly and it tasted great. I will definitely be back again. Good price, good food.
Staff member with short colorful hair was very kind. Helped me order and recommended good options. She was patient, as well. Food was bomb! I got soy glazed chicken with white rice. I couldn’t pick a sauce so the kind server gave me a sampler of 3. I recommend the magic sauce! The restaurant itself was very clean and chill. New interior. Overall, a really great place!!!
Update: I feel like portions have gotten smaller lately. This food is pretty delicious. I'm not sure what else to say. Sometimes I wish there was more kimchi but I like adjusting the ingredients of the bowl I order and the kimchi fries were a lot of fun. I believe the prices are comparably fair/ justifiable. Usually order & pay online then walk in to pick up. They do a good job! I feel acknowledged with a quick greeting and the space seems clean.
Cool Korean Mexican fusion! I like how there had healthy options with the raw vegetables and beans. It was a bit pricey considering that the bowl of food was $9 and it was on the smaller side. Other wise, I enjoyed the food overall and the sauces were good. The staff were really friendly! The location was clean and had a nice relaxed vibe to it.
It was my first time visiting this location. I ordered extra marinated protein tofu, but it was missing from my order. I tried calling the store several times, but no one answered.
I don't go to Chi'lantro like I used to for various reason but I seen recently that they were making improvements to the reward system and that they had an value bowl. Yall! Why the value bowl was more like a kid size bowl? Then, they put the smaller bowl inside of the regular size bowl!! They need to indicate on their app that the bowel is not the same size as the bigger bowl. I was very disappointed and I'm still hungry! SMH! See pic below.
Well first time here we try to visiting long time ago but we notice you guys open at 5pm anyways we decide to go today Saturday 18 -2025 and yes is not bad I try carnitas bowl is ok but not great I just think that beans need just a little bit more flavor or something so 4 start I’ll be back
I went in undecided between two meals on my lunch break. I asked the woman at the counter if I could sample the meat from two salads. She said I have to ask. She asked a woman and then a man both saying no. So I left. Weird. But I got in my car and went somewhere else for a salad. 🤷🏽♀️ I won’t be returning and told all my coworkers.
Never returning. I'd written a review not too long ago about hard rice from here. Today the gamble didn't pay off - chipped a molar from this food. Serious quality issues.
ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK Ordered a meal online through Uber app. I got the chilantro fries and chips and queso.. I received moldy fries and a handful of chips. See photos below. I called Uber and contacted the store. I found the moldy fries- after I spoke with the manager. Normally the chilantro fries comes with the box typically half full or fully full. I received a not full box barely enough fries that covered the bottom of the box…like I typically would. Just posting this tidbit because people should know you no longer receive as much food as normal. The manager did tell me that they weigh the fries now and you get what you get basically… When I spoke with the manager Marcos, he was kind and listened to me complain and ask questions but didn’t offer anything to fix the situation.just thanked me for my feed back. I won’t be coming back because $30 for moldy fries and a small handful of chips for queso that costed me an extra 8 bucks!!
